Its almost overwhelming how cool this store is. The funko-pop selection is incredible! Collectibles, figures, comic books, video games... it feels like theres something for everyone! Ive always found one or two (or ten) things I want for my collection, and since everything is reasonably priced, I never leave the store empty handed!

My first time here. Impressive size of inventory. Very knowledgeable employee named Bill. So many shopping options for my holiday gift giving.

One of the best and largest shops around. Definitely worth going out of your way to visit, especially if from Boston. They have a great selection, and a ton more 50c books than a lot of other places. And lots of posters--I had to limit myself to 3. Check it out.

Store is amazing. The two gentlemen upstairs are super knowledgeable and friendly. The guy downstairs with the toys is the reason why I walked out and didn’t buy a statue I wanted to buy. He was more interested in chatting with his friends instead of helping me find something I needed. One time I blew it off,the second time was even more rude than the first time he answered me. Even the two guys he was speaking with got upset that I was interrupting the conversation that had nothing to do with business. I have been looking for my statue for about ten years,finally found it and refuse to buy it because of how this guy who shouldn’t be working with humans is there in the section that I need something. Still a great store to visit if you don’t have to go downstairs.

A must for comic fans. A vast back issue selection, thousands of issues, a huge selection of Graphic novels and lots of statues. Then there is the basement... full of vintage toys and Lego.There’s a live here for the HULK and the shop has been renovated considerably since my last visit, bright well lit and really welcoming.A lot of back issues and they are so well ordered - not just alpha beta but numerically and by any sub title.I hit when then had a 50% off their back issues - which made my choices easier as the price was then competitive. They have a big sale March and October. A good comic shop.Downstairs a new addition a big toy store. Tons of vintage toys and more unusual items and a lot of Lego. Really tidy and carefully laid out.Overall very nicely done. Friendly - they had a toilet/rest room which I was welcome to use.

What an amazing store and experience at Comically Speaking in Reading MA. It’s hard to find a place where the owner actually collects and likes the products they are selling, plus have a passionate knowledge of comics and collectibles. This place has it all! From loose action figures to rare comics. Be sure to carve out a few hours if you are planning on stopping in. Some items are a little overpriced but so is eBay lol. It has the potential for becoming the Kokomo toys of the east coast with its massive collection of modern and vintage toys and comics. There is definitely something for every collector.

The truth is I have been waiting to come here for some time. Little did I know that they open up a toy section as well. Thousands of loose toys and good condition. I ended up picking up a few things I have been looking for for a while. Great place to visit if you are in town. The owner and the workers are really cool and down-to-earth. The Toys/ collectables are downstairs. The guy who works there said they just open up late January. He then said they are always getting things in period within 20 minutes the owner brings in about 2 carloads of new toys.

Comically Speaking sells comics, obviously, but also so much more. Video games, CDs, DVDs, Blu-ray, records, action figures and toys line both floors of this establishment and no matter your pop culture interests, youll probably find something to enjoy. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and Patrick is always happy to buy if you have comics or movies hanging about at home.

I love this place they have naruto statues for 12 and 20 dollars its amazing and a very large selection of other toys and collectors items and a huge floor of just comics its huge

The best comic shop on the north shore of Boston and it’s not close! Patrick has the best selection of bronze and silver age comics and pricing and grading are always on point. I cannot recommend this store highly enough. Once you stop in once, you will become a regular!

This is a place you go when you are trying to find that one hard to find book or collectible that so many trips to shows or other shops have failed you. Or when youre looking to simply fill in some broad gaps as you browse. Or when youre bored and you just feel like taking it all in.The staff there is extremely friendly and exceptionally helpful. If theres something you are specifically looking for and cant put your hands on, ask a staff member and the odds are pretty good theyll be able to find it for you.If theres a single drawback it is that the prices are closer to market than book. This means that you may find a rare or hard to find book that youve been searching for for ages there, but it may be more than you were expecting. Please understand that this isnt greed. Rare and key issues can and do fetch a premium mostly because of the difficulty of obtaining them and the demand for the same.At any rate, this shop is highly recommended. You may not get the yard sale prices you may have been hoping for, but instead youll actually get what you were looking for.

Patrick and crew run an amazing comic book store. They have everything you would want and more. This is a big store with tons of books to look at. Customer service is top notch. Very fair prices and amazing sales make this a fun stop each week. This is the place to be every Wednesday morning!

This place is absolutely incredible. Just to walk around and see the layers and layers of comics, statues, toys, books, CDs DVDs vinyl. The place goes on forever and Everytime I go here I see something Ive never seen before. And most times walk out with something completely unique. Its hard to leave this place.

This place has anything and everything that you could think of!! Everyone that works here is super nice especially the owner Patrick. He always makes sure that my son is happy with what he is getting and if there are any problems with anything that we buy here, he always makes sure my kids walk out happy. Great comics great toy store downstairs

Comics are fairy tales for adults...n kids. Comically is comic book Heaven. All the issues u need. All the toys u didnt even know u wanted n knew existed. And the staff is polite and most importantly Informed. U have a question. There is an expert there with the right information. They bleed super hero.

New to the area, and this was the first comic book store I checked out, on a whim coming back from a nearby craft store. I cannot recommend this place enough.Their selection is HUGE, and the owner has an equally huge heart. Probably one of the nicest people Ive met in my lifetime, and that alone makes this store worthwhile to go to. His staff are incredibly helpful as well. :) Not to mention knowledgeable.I dont have kids myself, but Ive seen quite a few kids at the store while I myself was browsing, and the staff and owner seem great with helping kids find just what theyre looking for.The prices are incredibly fair, and the store is well kept. I know there are comic book stores closer to where I live, but after going here, the extra few cents of gas is worth it, and has probably saved me more money in the long run. The last time I went, I walked out with probably $80 worth of stuff, for $25. If youre a new or old fan of comics and their characters, youd be an idiot to not go here.

Half off Sale 2x a year in April and Halloween cant be beat. Has the best wall of trades EVER!! Back issues are stocked with plenty of wall books to gawk at. Hard to get to for me but I visit 2x a year for last several and found myself going back to back days.

This store has an amazing selection of figures and collectibles I especially loved the selection of Marvel Legends and LEGO figures. It’s an hour+ from where I live, but it’s worth the trip every time. The owner is very friendly and a pleasure to do business with.

It was such a cool entrance with tons of figurines meticulously lined up in cases. They had a vast selection of comics and the staff was very friendly and helpful. I liked that they have vintage video games, vinyl, and cds in addition to the large comic selection. Great place!

Good for comics I guess, but they are struggling with how to get into games, toys and Blu-ray/DVD. 15$ for a used Blu-ray you can buy new on Amazon for 15$. Sorry but thats just ridiculous!

Good selection of comics. They just revamped the basement and its filled with action figures and pop-figurines. They wont have any manga though, just american-ish graphic novels, and monthly prints for new/ongoing comics series.

Everytime we travel my wife finds a comic shop in the area. This time didnt disappoint. Comically Speaking has TONS of selections from every print company. They also have a massive toy selection from new to old stuff that youre sure to find something youd want for yourself or to gift. The only reason I didnt give 5 stars is because when I was cashing out the clerk wouldnt sell me a comic because he sold it online. The comic in question was buried in a box underneath the normal stock, and he had previously mentioned that they forgot that box was even there because of what I had found. I honestly think he didnt sell it to me because he realized it was worth more than he had priced it, then made this weird lie to cover it. It just really rubbed me wrong. Even if it was something mis-priced, the way about it was wrong. Just keep it in mind if youre looking for a gem in the hiding.

Im really curious about some of the previous reviews. Ive been going to this store for about five years now and have never seen the staff be friendly or welcoming. When Ive been there staff, including Patrick, havent even looked up from what theyre doing let alone say anything to me. There is a staff member there who has a ponytail who literally has the personality of a serial killer. Ive continued going there in the past because the selection really is great but is also very overpriced. Several times Ive gotten things online for ninety percent less than what Pat was asking. After my last visit I decided not to return. There are other comic shops with friendly staffs.

A hidden gem in Reading!!! Comics, funkos, vinyl, vintage toys, dvd, cds shirts and so much more! Everyone is helpful, patient and extremely kind. They welcome any question happily. Kid friendly but I wouldn’t recommend you bringing kids to young.They have have glass display cases in the back.. I take my 6 and 9 year olds weekly. Theses always some deal going on. Depending on school they consider it a treat but they’re reading levels have gone up!
