Was recommended from a friend so the husband and I tried it. We both ordered hot chocolate, I got mine with oat milk and his was regular. They were both delicious, we also ordered the vegan pumpkin bread which was amazing and banana bread. Will definitely come back to try their pizza!
OMG! This was the best pepperoni pizza! The sauce was so flavorful and fresh tasting, along with the hints of chopped garlic. The crust was not your standard, it almost had the texture of pita bread. They also make the most perfect gluten free peanut butter cookies
First timer, I got very friendly and patient service. Had the Eggel sandwich. Very satisfying. Fresh tasting ingredients. Nice atmosphere, feels like a local community based spot. Looking forward to trying brick oven pizza next. Wish there was bigger outdoor seating area.
We ordered the Ron Swanson pizza which had bacon, sausage, and pepperoni. I give this pizza a 10/10 I would recommend and definitely come back to have again. The crust was perfectly thin and just the right amount of crisp. Ingredients tasted fresh! The Redlands Bowl Salad had sweet purple onions, mandarin, walnuts and a slice of pita. Their dressing definitely tied all the flavors together. They were very generous with the walnuts. You can add chicken for 3$ if you like. The salad also tasted fresh. No stale ingredients here! One of my top spots in Redlands! Ill be back!
Great spot for dinner with little kids. Great pizza and salads. Have great gluten free crust too
This place is amazing. They have great beverages and pastries. Their pizza is phenomenal. The best part is the ambience and service. The owner is friendly and customer focused. I highly recommend visiting
It’s yummy, simple, and a dash of fancy—as a Redlands “hipstery” kind of cafe should be! You can eat inside, or outside where they have a dog water bowl for your furry friend. The ambiance inside is cool and “chill,” and I will definitely come back for their lunch/dinner menu. Today, for my first time there, I had their avocado toast from the breakfast menu and a medium cappuccino. My friends had a scone and ricotta jam toast. Each looked really good, and there were no complaints about the food from either buddy. I’m looking forward to trying their pizzas, salads, sodas and teas next time I come back for a lunch date!
A little pricey for what it is. $15 for one pizza (only about 6 slices) The baked goods are also overpriced. Overall decent quality for a high price. The atmosphere is nice. Nothing that I would go out of my way for. The cashier was not very friendly and seemed like she either didn’t want to be there or didn’t care.
Staff was friendly but the cashier/barrista was a but absent minded and started working on a party of 5s drink order after we had ordered 2 drinks. Once she completed that it still took her about 10Min to serve the vanilla latte. But it was good. The place has a bit of a college hang out feel with a bit rougher crowd right next door. It doesnt mesh. I will try this again to see if its any different next time.
The pizza was great! Ordered half rocket man and half pepperoni for my husband and I, you can tell that everything used as ingredients is fresh! The staff was really kind and followed COVID guidelines, which I appreciated. Well definitely return again
Always love the eggels. The service is slow, but the food is worth it.
By far the best pizza Ive had in Redlands. The BBQ chicken is bomb
Terrible pizza. The sauce tastes old and dough is hard on the crust but still raw in the middle. The pepperoni tastes like its been left out of a cooler and awful flavor. 12 inch pizza for 17 dollars. First time, last time. No wonder there was no one ordering.
If Its something undissipointing youre looking for.Something that positively will never ever. Then heres the place. Nothing can beat Californias heat like a fresh fire baked pizza, in a verry cool coffee shop. Fresh very real cheese use here might bring you to a new center of awareness. Along with all the other fresh produce used.
Pizza was great! But the prices are stupid. 12 pizza $17.00 (Ron Swanson) and $3.50 for an 8oz cup of tea. And service was so so. I can say I had it,and the pizza was good(dont get me wrong). But not again sorry
Fresh, thoughtfully made, and delicious pizzas. Their salads are delicious and generous portions.
The pizza is so good and great staff!
Mothers Day Lunch Thai pizza, was the best, big salads, so was the freshly brewed herb ice tea! Nice quiet place, no crowds, great food, gluten free desserts, love the lemon bars!
I freaking love the staff here, and the environment functions as a pleasant work/family space. 10/10!
The atmosphere and food was amazing!! However, the unfriendly and grumpy guy who was working the counter that couldnt take the time to force a smile or say hello (had lunch on 4/19/21) while taking our order was the absolute downside to our first visit. This sort of experience makes it very difficult to consider going back. Ive owned a restaurant and know that if the service is bad it doesnt make up for how good the food is.
The margherita pizza was totally good nice and light top notch
Staff are on point💪🌠🏆All is refeshing and delicious here on the menu...Beautiful outdoor area too🐦🐞🌿🌿🌿
Wonderful local coffee house. Lots of tasty treats and good pizza. There are lots of vegan options too.
Old Redlands atmosphere. Coffee, teas, food especially pizza. Great place to be
Thats a 5. The place has a history of different owners during different decades of Contemporary Redlands. Definitely is not the guilty party as to why the Redlands area has a job shortage and all people cant afford to dine there on a regular basis while making rent.
Great food and drinks! I never got a beverage or snack or pizza that i didnt like! Also beautiful views when you take a seat and relax
Great service good people
Great everything: coffee, lattes, sweet treats made in-house, friendly service...
Great local spot to start the day. Amazing scones & breakfast pizza!
We had a BBQ chicken pizza and Redlands Bowl salad for lunch. Food quality is above average but the price is higher than the quality. Salad was small for the price. Pizza crust was good texture and wood-fired perfectly, but low on flavor. We will maybe try a morning coffee break some day. The baked goods look great.
Pizzas okay at best. The crust is good The rest of its kind of like doughy. The service is absolutely horrible. Their rude they act like jerks they act like you owe them a living for just showing up.
Place is nice, coffee is high grade ppl are nice tried the nutella banana scone🔥
Had gotten coffee elsewhere but still wanted to try out this place. We got the scones and wow!! The banana nutella was actually filled with nutella. It was huge. Great texture and very filling. Would come back to try their coffee next time!
Bricks and Birch is one of my favorite restaurants in the entire Inland Empire! All of the food they offer - pizza, salads, pastries, coffee - are all delicious and use high quality ingredients. The pizzas are all wood-fired in a brick oven and have a perfectly crispy yet still chewy crust. I usually order 1 pizza and 1 pastry to split between me and another person and the total comes out to around $20. You can even order half-half pizzas but theyll charge at the price of the more expensive pizza. Some of my favorite pizzas are:-Mushroom brie: sooooo good but Im probably biased because I love mushrooms & brie.-Rocket man: comes with prosciutto, arugula, burrata, and pine nuts. Its a great choice and you cant go wrong with this one.-Thai pie: a unique pizza that tastes kind of like pad thai on a pizza. Even though it has both sweet chili & peanut sauces, they werent overpowering.Their pastries are also really good and I really like their cheesecakes. For their coffee, they actually use Stumptown coffee beans. Stumptown isnt a local roaster, but its still a high quality one. Ive had a lot of coffee both here and at Augies close by, and I actually think theyre comparable. Interesting fact about me: the first cappuccino I had here was so good that I started getting into espresso and even purchased an espresso machine.Overall, this is a great restaurant and you should definitely try a bit of everything here!
🍕 So much good food. Service even better.
Good coffee, but no WiFi
Great pizzas with ingredients you dont see often.
They were allowing people to sit outside without masks near the entrance in defiance of the dining ban. They apologized to the man who kept getting closer and closer to me in line instead of me. The food, an Eggel, was not great. Its not worth risking your life to eat here.
Good coffee and atmosphere.
Pizza is delicious, thin and crispy exactly how pizza should be.
Great vibe. Family friendly with great food and drinks. Must get the seasonal cheesecake!
Ok so I am a lover of all things cheese and are you kidding me??? Figs and goat cheese with caramelized onions?! All the yes. If youve never been, try it. You will not be disappointed
Great selection of coffee, other drinks, and baked goodies. Vegan options available (the vegan pumpkin bread was so cute and delicious!)
Hmm, where to start with this wonderful cafe? Its in one of the prettiest and oldest buildings in Redlands, and near other impressive structures - so youve got a good view.Literally everything here is good - Im used to going to a coffee place for a great pastry and okay espresso, or vice versa - not here. Everything is good. The espresso is delicious. The chai is perfect. Their baked goods are really high quality - an old friend of mine used to be the primary baker here and his influence is still all over everything - the cheesecake is worth the trip. Just divine. Better than Cheesecake Factory, better than anything else. And the pizza! Oh the pizza - its not Lil Caesars cheap but by GOD it is worth a nice meal every once in a while here.Oh, and the vibe is perfect. I miss coming here for homework or just to chill mindlessly on my laptop. What a treasure for Redlands!
Bottom of pizza was burned. Top of pizza was oily. Strawberry scone was ok.
BBQ chicken pizza is a must try !
I will give Bicks and Birch 3.45
Over priced iced tea that was not very good!
BEST PIZZA. IT IS THE STANDARD.
Bricks and Birch is a great local shop in Downtown Redlands. Its situated in the neat and historic building that also serves as home to the Fox Theater, just at the corner of Cajon and Vine. They offer a wide variety of food including breakfast sandwiches, sweets, and salads, but perhaps what they are most well known for is their delicious selection of pizza. I personally love their pizza and enjoy the fact that they offer the option to have them all made using a gluten-free crust. I also really enjoy their yummy coffee and will occasionally pick up a delicious gluten free peanut butter cookie. I’d certainly recommend anyone try this place.
Friendly staff, good food and drinks! I got a vanilla latte with almond milk and it wasnt super sweet, which is perfect for me personally.
Cute little place with the most delicious coffee.
A bit pricey but the pizza is amazing, coming from someone who never eats pizza since I learned about true artisan pizza. First time there, we ordered 2 pizzas and I ordered the brick house salad, I was impressed by the salad also. But the exceptional gem, were the pastries. Some of the best weve ever had. Service could be a bit more welcoming and warmer but this place ROCKS! I will recommend this place to everyone I know, I havent had a decent pizza since the mid 80s. Keep up the great work guys!
Pizzas and coffee are wonderful!
Love their food here! Orange strawberry scone and avocado toast are my go-to breakfast. The staff is always very friendly, too.
Great coffee, great wood fire pizza, great pastries! Nice outdoor dining!
Cant speak for the coffee or pizza, but as far as treats go: they always have a few vegan choices and they are all delicious. We have made their vegan chocolate cake a necessity for all celebrations
Warm and friendly staff knows their stuff. Great little coffee and more shop. Cool spot too. Decent prices. The pizza is just as awesome as their coffees.
Took over 25 min to get my food and people were coming in waiting like 10 min and walking out. They forgot about my order and didnt say anything. Never coming back here
Very good food. Drinks tasted good. Very crowded at times. If the place would be bigger, it would be completely ideal. I like the inside decor.
The pizza is excellent! I gave their vegan cheese a try and it didnt disappoint, even though Im not vegan myself. The treats are delicious - wide selection of goodies available. The regular brewed coffee and espresso drinks are pretty standard, but they hit the spot. Definitely enjoy the atmosphere. The only thing is that their WiFi does give out sometimes and it does get somewhat crowded/noisy - so this might not be the place for you if youre looking for somewhere to sit and study.
No hot sauce? Covid problem? No its been enough time get with the program!
Good coffee
Delicious wood fire pizza here!
Good coffee.
This place is fantastic. Their pastries are delicious and baked fresh daily. Their pizzas are stone-oven baked and scrumptious. Everyone there is extremely nice and helpful. Great place to eat lunch or just study and have a cup of coffee!
Redlands bowl salad with avocado and Ron Swanson the best. Its perfect to share for two. Love that all their food locally sourced and made here. Taste is yummy. Then there are the desserts 😋
This is my favorite of the cafes that have been in and out of that location over the years. Theyve got a winner with this one. Their baked goods selection is fairly vast (including vegan treats) and usually delicious. I love the butternut ricotta pizza. I will say the price often deters me from going for the pizza though. The location is a Redlands classic (albeit a little warm in the summer with those west-facing windows).
Awesome food! Service was great as well. Parking can be a bit of a challenge. They were very busy when we were there so you may have to ask people to share a table.
Love this place!! It is my local coffee shop! They have homemade pastries, pizzas, salad and breakfast! My favorite is the strawberry cheesecake and gluten free options!
Great Pumpkin Scones, filled with cream cheese, and the drizzle topping!!
Cozy spot in historic downtown Redlands with delicious brick oven fired pizzas, salads, and plenty of vegan options. Really good pastries and coffee as well.
Amazing scones!
So cool! The place has a very interesting atmosphere, youll find it full of elderly who love the vintage feel and teens who probably find it trendy. Pizza was also very good, it is a perfect place for a date as its near State street where you can walk it all off. Staff is also really friendly as well. Over all recommend to anyone looking for more than just pizza in the area.
Beautiful atmosphere. Delicious food. Great service.
Great place grab a slice of pizza and something from the coffee bar
Always a great cup of coffee and warm hospitality. makes starting a day or finding my second wind all the more easier. Hope this place stays prosperous for years to come.
Really cute place! And the pizzas and salad were good too. Had a great time! Definitely going back!
Popular pizza place in Redlands. Tasty, creative pizzas, Also offer store-baked pastries/cookies.
Good selection of coffee/tea and huge are to study with a group. Good salads too.
Amazing coffee!
Good food and okay service. The worker walked outside to tell us our pizza was ready. Novel thought, bring the pizza out with you.
Its fine. Location is the best part. Coffee is pretty decent. Takes too long to order and pay, and there is the usual, precious clientele - social justice and berets over artisan pizza, etc.
Took my granddaughter there just for a snack. The vegan pumpkin and banana breads were delicious and moist and you would not know they were vegan. The fresh squeezed orange juice was exactly that yet pricey.
The coffee in this place is really the gem. They sell Stumptown which is very high quality especially the cold brew. Even just their drip coffee is great, might actually be the best in the area (yes you know where else I am referring to)
Lovely little Java stop with some yummy treats. Gluten free options available. Really amazing looking snacks. Music could be improved... Kind of distracting and funky. Meowing cats in the background - no joke! No cozy seating - just hard benches. Fans on at 7am? while cold outside. Indoor and outdoor seating.
