Very knowledgeable and professional. Friend atmosphere. I would highly recommend Redlands Guitar πΈ
I am so happy i found this place. The guys i met are honest and dependable-- Mike is awesome. Mike brought my old guitar back to life in a couple of hours. Definitely recommend this place instead of GC--my personal opinion.
Super helpful and great guitar instructor.
Definitely will now be my go-to guitar place. Brought in my Strat for a setup, and Mike Bevis explained to me everything that was wrong with it, got straight to business and setup and intonated my guitar all in a couple hours. Very kind and professional service, will return :)
Small local store great service and limited selection. Not their fault as manufacturers only want to sell to big box stores. Great repair shop
Wonderful store - These guys are always happy to share their vast experience and provide tips. Weβre so lucky to have an βold schoolβ store in the neighborhood.
I wouldnt want to spoil a good thing so they deserve the required 5 stars. These guys are deeper into the music and repair aspect than I am. They also teach music which is impeccable.
Love this place! Its my go-to place for all guitar-related things. Great service, fair prices, and welcoming atmosphere.
My daughter is really enjoying her guitar lessons. Staff are nice and friendly. Reliable and on time.
Guys worked above and beyond helping me find a Christmas gift for my wife. Great service!
. good little family shop
They treat you like family...a great family run shop thats been around for years
This shop and the people that run it are awesome. I brought my moms guitar down the evening before New Yearβs Eve to have a pickup put in it. She wanted to play it at church New Yearβs Eve and I told him that and he made sure it was done and tuned the next day. He has earned my business for life. Thanks again guitar sounds great.
I went here after a terrible restring from another place that I had done on my acoustic guitar. Mike was super helpful and informational. He restrung my guitar right there and it sounded and looks great. Love this place. AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE!! : )
Crazy over priced but good local store so I had to support fellow Redlands residents as I start my new hobby toward sound therapy and creative peaceful music!
LOVE this shop! I came in with an ovation that was having some alignment issues. GC had quoted me more than $1000 to even get it playable, and referred to the guitar as totalled π. The owner here (his name has slipped my mind) said raising the saddle was absolutely an option, and could be done in half an hour!! Hooray! He raised the saddle and replaced the strings for less than $60, and even stayed past his closing time in New years Eve to help us out. Great shop, great environment, great service. He has made a regular out if me, and I will definitely be back in future.
I didnt catch his name. Older gentlemen - but i came in thinking about just leaving the guitar in to get checked out. My guitar kept going out of tune, and it was becoming very frustrating. Instead of charging me, the guy just examined it and diagnosed on the spot. Gave me a little history lesson on les pauls and what i can and cant do with them. What I cant do with it is basically all i was doing. So i left with more knowledge than i came in with. Before leaving, i had to pay somehow.... so i bought a couple items off the shelves - my way of saying thank you. Very cool place - will be coming back for future work and possible music theory classes.Thank you sir.
The first guitar shop I visited ever! Same owner. Good vibes
Always great service and guitar set-ups
Good service, knowledge staff and fair prices!
Wonderful place. If you want to talk to someone who knows about guitar, talk to someone here.
Redlands guitar shop has everything any musician needs with a very personalized service of a small store in a big city. Andy, the sales representative is so welcoming and helpful!
Great place. The guys have been in the industry for awhile unlike other guitar places.I have made two major purchases and have been happy with both. Also have had work done on my other equipment with great results.
Small, friendly, knowledgeable
Great Service and Prices ! Established long before GC and still in business, for good reason.
The staff is so nice and caring for my needs. I explained to them my situations, and my questions and they answered them so fully and understandably. I will defiently recommend this to all my musician friends.
Great place great service . I only bought a few plecs but my custom was much appreciated.
They are nice and all know what they are talking about. Everyone there is experienced with guitars and isnt out to get your money
Awesome guy. Great prices.
Had a fret level done, but all he did was shine the frets with steel wool and raise the action. Did not want to be confrontational so I let it go, $90 wasted plus the new strings charge tacked on. Also sold a nice guitar to this shop and they gouged me, flipped it for thousands, come to find out. Both times to same older guy. I believe the younger guy is more trustworthy.
Guitar set ups are always nicely done here
I dont remember coming here but if I did Im pretty sure its a cool place
Excellent music shop with affordable instruments, skilled teachers, and quality repairs. Whether you need a kazoo, a guitar, drumsticks, or a Reed for your clarinet, this is the place to go.
Dont usually write reviews but this place is so horrible I felt I had to. Took my band new guitar for a basic step up. They did a horrible job and damaged my guitar. Employees are extremely rude and the owner is the worst of them all. Dont give this place your business.
Super helpful! Small shops are always better service and knowledge. Thanks for fixing my guitar!
There really nice as soon as I walked in they greeted me and I felt welcomed
Great little music shop! These types of music stores are increasingly rare and Redlands is lucky to have this one!
Ok I guess I dont play much but its ok if you do, great selection and helpful staff
The staff was very helpful and they gave me a good discount on a really nice guitar bag. They also tuned up my guitar for free.
I bought a very good inexpensive guitar there 3 years ago (10/11). The Epiphone Acoustic guitar bridge was a little high, and before I took the guitar home, they worked on the saddle. My Epiphone is easier to play than my boyfriends Martin.I got great treatment at Redlands Guitar Shop, and recommend them highly. Judy Evicci
I have brought in about 5 guitars to Mike at Redlands Guitar Shop for various problems and fixes. He has fixed each one perfectly, on time and under budget. One of the best benefits of using a nice local shop is that Mike Bevis is always there and offers so much valuable information in addition to really knowing what he is doing.Mike is also an active musician who has a passion for what he does. Thanks Mike and RGS for such a great job. Going to pick up my Epiphone guitar right now!
I rarely write a scathing review, so I decided to sit on my experience here for about 3 months before finally deciding to write a review. Unfortunately, I also rarely have experiences which feel so belittling, I cant let them go. My recent need for musical supply led me to remember the poor experience I had here....Im an avid guitar learner, fairly new to the scene, but not as a musician (I play piano and ukulele quite a bit). I came here looking for advice as a poor student who received an acoustic guitar for a gift, but was headed toward Flamenco style playing. I came here asking if it were possible to use nylon strings on my acoustic temporarily until I could afford a classical guitar to facilitate my style. Its a noob question, but remember I was very new at the time.First off, what I liked:The place was clean, had a great selection, and nearly everything you could need in short order at a guitar store. They had more than just guitars, which I really liked, as I appreciate a wide variety of instruments. Someone had come in and was playing one of the guitars. Beautiful piece to whoever that was. The laid back atmosphere hit me instantly and I expected great things from a shop that rejected the corporate giant feel. What wasnt so hot:Unfortunately, what I got was the complete opposite. I was asked if I needed help, and I told an older gentleman (probably in his late 50s early 60s) about my circumstance with my guitar, and halfway into my question, he cut me off and started talking to another employee. Note: this wasnt the long winded version. I simply said I received an acoustic guitar, started playing flamenco, and wanted to know if I could switch out stri---.... Thats as far as I got. He called another employee over and speculated on what on object was on his counter for about a minute while I stood their awkwardly. He finally returned to our conversation, I posed the question, and he said, No, before returning to his conversation with the employee. He didnt offer me any other service, and for all intent and purpose I was invisible.Final Verdict:Maybe this guy was having a bad day. Perhaps he wasnt a regular employee. Perhaps he was the store owner. Who knows? All I know if that I left feeling stupid and an inconvenience to the gentleman. I loved his shop, but I find behavior to a customer who would have used his services and supplies (hes the closest guitar place to me) 100% unacceptable for business image. If I ever return and find the service more palatable, I would gladly remove this negative review. But for the service I received....I rate this business as 1 star and would NOT recommend using them in the future. From other reviews, I can see this shop is normally a great shop in the community. I can only hope I find the same service at a later date.
Great shop, experienced staff, excellent service.
Great vibe.
Wonderful evening out
Great service always
I love this place
Gouchy old man.
Wonderful
