Ordered meat but when I picked the package and got home, opened it, meat looks like it expired, very hard and different color. It was very bad smell, had to through in trash complete meat immediately...

This grocery store is close to Redmond Town Centre with most of Indian items. Their vegetable section does not have many varieties though.

I have noticed multiple times that the items from this store are expired. The first time I ignored as it could be a mistake on the end of the owner/store manager but this happened to me again when I bought butter from this store and it turned out to be expired. I hope that they understand that an expired food item could harm someone really bad and not just think about profit.

The butcher accepts custom cuts if you call ahead of time. Good quality goat meat! Halal too

Limited parking due to the location. But otherwise the store is great. Best quality halal meat in the area.

Great neighborhood indian store

If I had 0 star option I would have given that. You will get most of the items expired at this store . Despite of complaining twice, they keep expired items like ice creams and butters on their shelf. If you don’t believe you can check anytime . These people know that since it’s the only Indian store nearby, people would have to come here to shop so they never check and replace their expired items from the shelf.Very much disappointed ! Would recommend that check the expiry date before buying any item from here !!You will find the same review about the expired items from my reviewers on google . They say that they will refund the items but why can’t they actually take steps by not selling such items !!! One should actually complain the consumer forum about them !So pls pls pls do a favour on yourself and don’t buy any such items from their.

The grocery store is very neat and clean and good variety of Desi products, however, the their prices are a little higher than other competitors specially for the meat

The Meat Quality not good. Providing the old goat meat. cooking for meat takes more time. once upon a time shalimar provides good meat. i was the regualar customor but now a days price increased and not providing young goat meat. More disappointe more me and my family twice

The place is good for desi grocery but they can more friendly with a smile.

Their staff members are really nice and friendly. But most of their products are super expensive and secondly they dont have much inventory either. I understand that Redmond is not a cheap place to rent but I refuse to believe that they get the products on double prices. I believe, there is not much competition here in Redmond and the number of desi people are drastically increasing, so they take advantage of this situation.

Convinient but prices are high.

The best thing about this place is that its right near my place so its good for things is need quickly. The veggies are not always fresh but the rest is good too. They have a limited variety of things like masalas and chutneys. But they have most of the essentials I need.

Convenient location, we get almost 95% of times what we need. Good service, people are very friendly and help customers in all way they could. Fresh items and I like their chicken. Good for Indian vegetables though we do not get all types of veggies.

Nice little Indian store near Redmond downtown. Saves me from having to go to the crowded stores in bel-red. They always have fresh raw meat which is convenient and preferred rather than stocking up our freezer.

Not enough variety in meats but it is 5 mins away from my house and I pretty much get everything I need. But I prefer delivery through Zeggys. Everyone try Zeggys.

Got expired products from shalimar and most of their products are overrated. And on april 30 got a pack of biscuits and after opening it found out it does not have lock in it and all the biscuits are mushy.

Worst customer service ever. They literally shoved me out of the store while it was not even 9 PM, their closing time. Every other store in the world waits for their customers to finish shopping at their convenience. But here, I was literally being pestered to leave before the closing time. The guy in the counter came to me breathing down my neck multiple times to get done with my shopping. Didnt even apologize or said thank you after I was done billing on time. Worst customer service ever.

I asked the person at counter to remove one of the packet of the naan because I decided to buy 3 instead of 4 and he started speaking to me rudely and told me that because of me he has to do cancel the whole bill and start over again from the beginning.

Please check the expiry dates before taking items. Just bought 2018 mfg year, old rusk from Laxmi brand which expires today. Noticed just now when we opened it. Thats my mistake as it looked fresh didnt bother to check expiry date. Same with few other items - grated coconut, biscuits . Made a note myself to check expiry date before taking items out. Its never expired products but old stock which expires soon.Mutton is very good .Staff is good. Gets everything that you want in an Indian home.

I stopped by shalimar grocery yesterday to pick up a few items. They had a huge meat selection to choose from and also some great deals on their frozen food section. They always have staff available who help you look for items. Checkout was very fast and much better than what I have experienced at other grocery stores.Highly recommend!

New location is great. my shopping experience there has always been a good one.Since its only one block from my house i feel lucky.Their chicken tastes great. One of the workers told me they will have samosas and chai soon.

I went to pick up few things 06/04. They do not follow social distancing. Few customers and one employee didnt have any masks or gloves on. I asked the cashier whats the point of posting outside of the door that you require a mask when you do not enforce it. She didnt have any answers. I wont go again there

The freshly prepared marinaded meats are worth the trip.

If Google had an option of negative or 0 star, I would have given that. The person in the checkout counter is utterly disgusting. I changed/replaced one item and he just changed the price of another item he already charged before to make the overall total same. He then started laughing at me saying see the total remains the same. They just make up the price at their own will and this guy is a real cheat. I hope the guy at the checkout counter better learn the ethics of doing business in a sane way and how to talk with customers decently. They are moving to a new location though I will never be going back there and will suggest others to avoid this place as well. This was my first and last visit to this grocery store with a disgusting person and a crook, who sits at the checkout counter (not sure if he is the owner).Also, for reference, I was at the grocery store on 9/21/2019 (Sat) around 4:00 - 4:30PM; so the owner (assuming the person at the checkout counter was not the owner) can figure out the person I am mentioning about. I saw some yelp reviews with people mentioning similar feedback; so my experience might not be an outlier case.

Bought goat meat from here but found the smell and taste as lamb after cooking...if you are selling lamb then right lamb clearly...dont try to fool your customer...its not difficult to catch...be true to yourself first...

Zabadaba used to run this place before he was a rap artist. Love the family, love the store. Coolest shop ever. They have everything you need to cook Indian or Middle Eastern food.

Terrible meat quality!! The first layer will always look good filled with all the stale and terrible meat pieces in the bottom layer. When talked to owner, she has to say Its all about presentation. She neither accepted the meat back, nor gave us any refund / exchange. Im officially filing a complaint with foodsafety.gov requesting to have a thorough inspection.

A good place to find spices, Basmati rice, Kataifi, Molokheya or Jew mellow. Spring rolls or samosa.

Check the expiration dates very carefully, I bought this dosa mix and I just noticed and the expiration date was 1 year and 4 months ago!!!

Great little Indian Shop with attached cafe. Have not been to the cafe, but the shop is wonderful. Lots of spices and products perfect for learning to cook Indian and other ethnic cuisines!

Yogurt I purchased with expiry after 40 days I found spoiled upon opening!Can’t risk anymore.

A very good place to get authentic Indian and Pakistani geocery and halal meat.

I am totally going to avoid this place from now on. The cashier cum owner billed me for the groceries belonging to the person in front of me in the queue. When discovered, he was unapologetic and instead rudely asked me Why didnt you stop me? This is stupid, if he is billing folks in the queue he must know which item is belonging to whom and if mistake happens he should be apologizing instead of rudely throwing the blame on the innocent customer.

Im usually quite considerate in giving reviews so, this one coming from me is to be taken seriously!This place doesnt even deserve one star. The store is very badly maintained. Most of the packaged goods have their seals broken. When asked, the store guy says (rudely, not sure why) only the box is open the food isnt exposed. The service here is even worse. When I asked the same guy to bag my items he told me to do it myself. Im never coming back here and would never recommend this store to an enemy even.

Good for quick halal meat. But they do run out of beef so call in advance.

Couldn’t find pomegranate molasses any where in Redmond. Found it at Shalimar Grocery and it made my day!

Good pak e to find all your desi grocery

I bought some spices there that tasted/felt like they had been laced with sand. Biting down on the food, there were some hard objects that should not have been there, and it tasted years old. Threw them away.

A scaled down Mayuri, full Indian-Pakistani range of groceries, with the addition of Halal meat. Went there before Mayuri, and the only thing we could not find was Kewra Water, forcing us to go to Mayuri. Otherwise all cool..

This store is good to have Indian grocery shopping.
