While in Reno I googled cigar bar and google sent me here . I wasnt expecting them to only carry their brand but I bought a few and had one while I was there and I was very very impressed . The atmosphere, the staff, the customers were all great . Ill be in town for another week and Ill definitely come back .

I didnt realize they sold only their own brand of cigars. They are certainly conesuers as indicated by the description of the cigar flavor notes. Prices are budget friendly.

Im 66 now and Ive been smoking cigars long before it was cool. Ive been in stores all over the country and this has been my favorite place for the last 8 years. You will not be disappointed if you give them a try.

Hatueys is awesome. Get the full experience and ask the tobacconist for a recommendation. I told Silvia I liked the robust size and she made quick recommendations in their humidor. Went with the Black and White Old Edition. Excellent choice and a fine smoke full of flavor. 5 Stars! And all in Spanish, excellent service!!!

This cigar shop is one of my favorite places to go. the owners are very friendly and knows exactly what cigars they have and they ask you questions what you like what kind of flavor ring gauge which is the with of the cigar. They talk to you like your a person not a number. Its a positive place to be and they done look at you weird if you dont know much about cigars. The owners are very patient to listen to you when learning about smoking cigars. The prizes are very decent and not over pricey.

Reno, Nevada.Hatuey (funny name) is a two story lounge that imports their own cigars from Dominicana or Nicaragua. I dont see the tools to do in house rolling & the cigars that I acquired were imported by construction & nature.This lounge does not sell national brands and is classic small batch or boutique which is ideal for men like myself who seek experience w/ a exploratory or wandering disposition as showcased by my lifestyle. And yes, elements of wrecklessness abounds, but, what you define as wreckless or risky, I define as fearless or innovative. As Will Bill Hickok once stated while pioneerings through impassible terrain... Men who behave dont make history.Hatuey has adopted, unknowingly, this mantra to be a bit different than the standard cigars. They carry different ring guages, binders, sizes, etc. Ranging from the classic dominicana medium & sweet to the nicaraguan full & spicy and every nook & cranny mixed in the middle w/ a highly competitive price point. I took back over 12 real cigars (16 total) and after a merely 500 miles adventure am left with two left.Hatuey provides a comfortable atmosphere and hopefully I can enjoy the local ethos when COVID is done with.Safe traveling my friends.@cigarcpa

Silvia and Greg are polite, professional, and know their cigars. The atmosphere is welcoming and great place to relax and enjoy great conversation or watch the game. Whether you know what you like or new to cigars, both Silvia and Greg can in part some expert knowledge to heighten your experience! Considering that Hatuey is a plantation store, the cigars come hand rolled and expertly aged. The stock is cycled through regularly and we highly recommend trying them all! Hatuey has become the cigar lounge that we compare all others to for its over all experience!

Went to Hatuey Cigars and have never been in a cigar shop/lounge (only smoked a few cigars here and there on occasions). Talked with the gentleman working who I think was probably the owner and he was very pleasant to speak with. Talked about differences in cigars and about some different processes of cigar making. Brought home 3 of their house brand cigars (a double wrap #2, cognac, and vanilla). The 2 I have smoked were great, will try the vanilla in the next few days. Definitely recommend this place.

Awesome cigar store! They make you feel truly welcome and appreciated as a customer, even if youre relatively new to cigars like me. It was fun just exploring the humidor and the incredible variety of Hatuey cigars. They are truly high-quality handmade cigars in every size and flavor range. I think theyre as good or better than major brand cigar. The prices are about 50% less than comparable cigars in Oregon. Its a really beautiful store, the woman who helped me (I didnt catch her name, but i assume she is an owner) was genuinely nice and helpful. Their prices on lighters, humidors, and other accessories also very reasonable and of extremely high quality.This seems to be a REAL family business -- not some trendy place trying to gouge you to capitalize on the recent surge of popularity of cigars. I will go to Hatuey every time i go back to Reno for military reserve duty!!!

Absolutely a great place for all things related to cigars! Plenty of inventory, plus smoke on site encouraged (loads of cubbies and comfy men-size chairs). Love the vibe!

As a novice cigar smoker, trying to become an expert, I found great service, reasonable prices for super premium cigars. This was a wonderful accidental find for me. Ill be buying a box or two from t them next time I visit Reno.

Very new cigar smoker. I like the smell taste and aroma of my first couple of cigars. Without having much to go on the Gentleman I spoke to gave me a few suggestions and some advice. I appreciated his time and knowledge as well as the way he treated me as a valued customer. I will definately be coming back.

Really nice place to smoke a cigar. The hand rolled house cigar was a low priced supprise. We went upstairs and hung out with a diverse crowd and enjoyed the cigars and conversation. I would recommend to stop in and try this place.

I am a semi-regular customer at this cigar shop. The prices are great the cigars are great, the staff is friendly, flexible and professional.Other cigar shops in Reno will charge you ten dollars just to stay and have a cigar, but not Hatuey. I only have a cigar every few months but when I want one I come to Hatuey Cigars.

This is not a review of the product, which I hear is excellent. Rather, this is a comment about the extraordinarily rude man who assisted my husband while pretending I did not exist, all the way up to practically walking through me. Women: if you are looking for a gift for your man, this is not the place to go. He was so incredibly rude to me when we went in that I left. He made it abundantly clear that women are not welcome in his store. I have not been treated like this since - actually I can’t remember a time. Wow.

I will be back for sure. Not a cigar smoker so I felt I was assisted in my choice very well. I was made to feel very comfortable in the establishment and got all the information I could ask for.

Very nice smoking srea that is very comfortable and quiet as I entered the shop. I was greated by Greg and he showed me into the humidor. He explained the company makes its own line of cigars in Dominican Republic and Ecuador ftom the tobacco grown on 2 seperate farms. I described what I was looking for and he cam up with two examples that fit perfectly. He was very knowledgeable and passed on history of the company. When I got home I lit one up and was very suprised at how close it was to the one I used as a example. Very good.I will definitely be back.
