We love the fish tacos here. Typically I get a regular fish taco and one al pastor style, and Im always debating about which one I like better. Their regular ground beef tacos are good as well, and everything else I have tried has been fine. Also love their bean dip with the green salsa. I have not specifically asked on ingredients, but have always been fine of the gluten side of things as long as the tortillas are corn.
First off, I feel bad for not writing this review six months ago. Now that weve addressed things, lets get down to business.Every time I step inside, Im greeted with a smile. The staff here is friendly, efficient, and ready to take your food, drink orders. My friends and I sat outside for breakfast. The setting was perfect. The sun was up, drinks were flowing, and our food arrived quicker than we anticipated. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and of course, made with love.El Adobé has been in business in Midtown Reno since 2000. The owners put their family recipes on display daily. I strongly suggest ordering one of everything that your eyes find appealing. Ive had just about everything on their menu and still cant get enough.Thank you for taking a moment to read this. Enjoyed our lunch out on the patio this afternoon. Food was good, service too. Salsa was a little hot for me. I also prefer thinner tortilla chips. Will definitely return.

Service was good but the food was just OK. The chimichanga was really small and the strawberry margaritas tasted like I could have made it at home. The food was not bad but not great either. Had steak and shrimp fajitas…great potion but just OK taste. We had 5 people (3 adult meals, 2 kids meals and 2 margaritas) for $100. So ok priced considering we had 2 margaritas.

Excellent service, good food. Salsa is too hot to enjoy. Chips not so great.Response to owner comments, I made it a 4... server did not offer different salsa. I think for the general public, salsa should not be so hot and people can ask if you have something hotter. Everyone at our table thought chips didnt have much flavor. Not sure why... we used to go to another place in So Cal....they made thick chips for their salsa/chips and nachos. They switched to chips like yours, which I think came from a bag. Sorry.... maybe they need to be warm or something...
Great patio seating and awesome margaritas and food chips and salsa are awesome too. Waiters are very friendly and attentive I love coming here over and over and over.

We eat here every other month. Service is always excellent. Always greeted warmly as if were family. Love Mele; she is a sweetheart. I always order the same thing the Shrimp a La Diabla. The spouse orders always switches the orders arounds and is always pleased. The Cadillac Margaritas are great. I try not to order 2 if I want to function after dinner. I always look for the 20% coupon. I always bring out of town company here. Cant say enough nice things about the restaurant or the staff.
Came in this afternoon for lunch with my wife and father in law. Such a great experience. Ive had El Adobe prior, but it was during take only covid and take out just isnt the same. So we ate inside to escape the heat. Very clean and inviting place with very friendly staff. I ordered a bowl of menudo, and it was just as I had expected. A little spice, and delicate pieces of meat. My wife loves the Chile Rellano and ordered it this time as well. My wife loved her order today.Another MUST stop by and enjoy supporting local businesses!

The food was good, the atmosphere was pleasant, and the service started off great ... then, the server started offering us to-go boxes while we were still eating; then, later, when our glasses were empty, it was like he forgot about us. If the service were consistent, we wouldve thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

First time visiting, great experience! Service was fast and professional. Food was delivered hot and delicious! Had the #25, carnitas, and it was great. The menu is fairly big, options for all tastes. Highly recommend giving this place a try.

Family thought it was good. I had the fish tacos. Wifey had nachos. Daughter had the chicken burrito. All were good. It was a pretty happening place. We had takeout, but I would like to come back and eat in. I would also like to try a margarita next time.

Food was fair. Service was fair. Staff kept hitting me in the back as they walked by, because the aisle was so small. Parking lot was a mess. Real small spaces making it hard to maneuver through.

I finally found a Mexican food restaurant in Reno that I love! The atmosphere was fun, clean and comfortable. The service was spot on and the food was amazing! Nice big portions :) if I had to make a complaint..it would be that the salsa wasnt my cup of tea..but it wasnt bad. I would definitely recommend

Its kinda surprising how popular this place is with a less than joyous staff.The wait staff mostly men are semi-robotic in their mannerisms & friendliness.The food is fair, but predictable.

Terrible night. Was supposed to be a night out with our significant others (8 people, 1 family). Had to sit 4 to a table and completely separated because of COVID, even though we were outside and are family, but charged us GRATUITY on our check because they brought us one check for the two tables because we showed up together. Service was rude, had to ask for more chips 3 times, then got charged for extra chips just in case they were wasted which they werent. $400 bill for less-than remarkable food, drinks, and service. Asked about gratuity because we were not a party of over 6 anymore - should have been on 2 checks anyway - and all we got was attitude and blaming it on the boss. Sad and wont be back.

El Adobe is one of our favorite restaurants in Reno. The food is absolutely stellar, the drinks are amazing, and the service is always on point. Not only is the restaurant phenomenal, but their catering service is great as well. We had our wedding catered by El Adobe and it made our special day even more perfect. Raul, the owner, is a perfect gentleman. He assured that everything was ready to go and there was no stress at all. We had the best tacos and enchiladas of our lives. If youre ever in Reno, stop on by and get some lovely food. We strongly recommend El Adobe.

WAY! over priced. Weird menu item combinations. Carnitas was just chunked up pork cubes that were bland and anything but tender. The Asada looked exactly the same and was also severely bland. I couldnt even tell the difference between the Carnitas and Asada. Two tacos, beans and rice almost $20.Give me a break! This seems like the type of place the people who dont know any better go to.

Wonderful, flavorful food and great service!! My husband had the Chili Colorado. Hes really a picky eater and he loved it! I had the taco, enchilada combo - both delicious! We were looking for a place where the tortillas for the tacos were fried and not just warmed up. The singer - guitarist was a nice addition. All in all, the perfect dinner.
