A great family owned hardware store. People are friendly AND knowledgeable. Unlike the big box stores you would be hard pressed to be in this store for more than 3-5 minutes before someone asks to help you!A another positive is that their prices are very competitive to the big box stores. In this case it pays off to shop local!

I love coming here and feel lucky that we have this awesome hardware store in our Valley. I have been coming here for various things since 2006. The customer service is the best hands down. Unlike other big stores, there are actual live in flesh customer service guys and ladys that are there to help immediately without being petty. They are always very knowledgeable, quick to help, and dont mind explaing things to me. The ladys in the front have been there for the most part over a decade and are quick to check you out and ALSO answer any of my dumb questions! And they are always so so sweet to my disabled daughter. 💕

Awesome neighborhood store you can in and out super fast they dont have everything but prices are very reasonable 😀 without going to town and spending a lot more time

Its nothing special. I wouldnt come here for supplies for big jobs or buy tools here. Its only good for hardware, like various nuts and bolts.

I love the options here, the hardware store is very close to my house so its very convenient to pick up any loose ends I need for home remodeling or any other projects. Friendly staff great selection everything from interior exterior paint to super glue typical hardware store. They have tool rentals as well I am just dropping off an aerator this is my second year renting equipment from them and everything always goes very smooth.

About double the price of any other place in town and low quality customer service. To add insult to injury they are run by boomer lefties, who “don’t follow the science” but probably complain that big box stores “steal” their business. If you want to be competitive, smile and provide better customer service, while also respecting CDC mandates that have been issued for vaccinated individuals.

On the day i visited i was looking for wire to do low stress training on my plants i have growing. Had been to 3 stores before hand. Has a wide variety of hardware goods. Will be visiting again.

Great place close to home for paint, hardware, irrigation and plumbing supplies, cleaning and canning supplies, bird seed and feeders, adhesives, fasteners, wheelbarrows, fertilizer, potting soil, mulch. I could on on and on as I know there is so much more. Reasonable pricing and people who can actually answer your questions! They will also help you load up. Great service and an asset to our community. Would definitely recommend North Valleys Hardware, and will continue to be a loyal customer

I bought a Troy Bilt lawnmower on May 40th 2020. The lawn mower would not start. After calling a couple of employees were rude and told me they will not take a return that I needed to call the manufacturer and hung up. After several more attempts the lawnmower would start but not stay on. When I inspected the exhaust rust came out. Dont buy anything expensive from them. Its not worth the hassel. This probably from them keeping the mowers outside and neglect them when it rains.

Generally good for finding things. A bit expensive for what you can get at Home Depot or Lowes. The advertisement items are usually a decent price..Service is terrible though. When you walk into the store, you get asked if you need help, and then everyone you walk near asks to help you. It is a bit overwhelming when you just need something small or are looking for something and you know where it is, or you are trying to work something out in your head. I mean really, if I need sprinkler parts, I can find them, but I dont need someone hovering over me as I decide what to buy. And it also makes me feel weird if I want to buy a discount item instead of the premium product. Heavy sales techniques have kept me out of the store in the past.I have also been followed to a part area and had someone say the particular part I am looking for is easily stolen, so it is kept at the counter, and then the person bringing you to the area hangs around and watches you as you shop. Almost as if they are accusing me of being the one who is going to steal a part.But this happens in all True Value stores, so if you want to pay more than Home Depot and get followed around the store, and get accused of being a thief, True Value is your store.I really only go there when I am looking for that weird item that I cant get at Home Depot or Lowes on the day I need it.

This is a very well stocked store! They have paint, tools, coolers, BBQ accessories and some pretty neat random items as well as thousands(?) of other items. I found the item I came in to buy and decided to look around the store. At least 4 employees asked if I needed help during my browsing. An employee took an ice cooler off the shelf for a lady and carried it to the register for her because they thought it may be the last one in stock. A couple asked about a sale item and an employee took them to the item and showed them the last 2 they had. She then offered a rain check if they needed more. Some prices seemed a little high but it doesnt take a 1/2 mile hike to find anything. Many prices are as low (or lower) than the big box stores. This is the type of beloved small town hardware store that nearby residents can cherish.

I needed some paint remixed and they did it for free. I was very thankful.

They were very helpful. They showed and got the right extension cord.

Prices are through the roof compared to other places. Unfriendly counter workers. Also, I could not enter without my face covered and I identify as being vaccinated. Take your money elsewhere and shut this place down.

Maybe you should open up for business instead of continuing to use covid as an excuse. 9 am on a Sunday really.....To the big box store I go. Is it lost on mgmt that most people want to get going on their projects early. Home depot opens at 6am mon thru sat. 7am on Sunday. Way to go driving your customers away.

If I could give one star I would!!!! Got there at 6:01 need a part to fix my main water to the house. I explained what was going on and they had no care in the world! Tured me around! Now me and my 3 kids are going without water for the night. Keep in mind they had customers inside checking out! In a time like this. Really thank you!!!

Recently purchased some lumber and needed it cut. Once I got it home I noticed two of the pieces were warped and wouldnt lay flat. Useless for the purpose I bought them for, I went back but was told they dont take back lumber but I could buy more. The employees pick the lumber and charge $2.50 per cut and gave me warped boards that wouldnt lay flat. I didnt ask for a refund, I only wanted lumber that would work what I needed it for and their only response was for me to pay for more boards. I would understand if I picked the boards but I shouldve known when the kid that cut the boards had to ask three times what length I wanted and took 10 minutes to cut three boards.

All of the employees on the floor are helpful and nice. That’s why they get 2 stars. I’ve repeatedly gotten terrible and rude service when paying. Despite this, tried to support a local business in a time of need. Prior to this visit they accepted Apple Pay. I went to check out and asked just to make sure.... and she rudely snapped “no, we don’t, I hate it and we’re getting rid of it”. It was my fault, I forgot my wallet... but there was no need for her tone. Guess you only get respect there if you’re 65+?

They have a good selection. The older lady is a grump😅

I will never be returning. The last three times I have come in and asked for assistance to see if they carry what I am looking for the cashier has been rude or will not answer me. I am from the south and I was raised to have manners and show respect no matter what, but obviously she doesn’t share that mindset.

I have been coming here for years for the simple fact, if I am trying to figure out a problem and need a more specialized part, this hardware store would be on of the few places to get the knowledge and things you need. They may not carry as much as Lowes or Home Depot, but they almost always know what their talking about and exactly what you need, even if they dont have it in the shelf.

Everyone is always very helpful. Paint gal answered all my questions. Tim helped me find a drill bit. Cashier greeted me with a smile and although she was making a key for another customer she still got me on my way quickly.

I shopped there on 5/8/20, I was in the area and thought I would pop in and pick up some fertilizer. I found some of the staff very unfriendly, no smiles, no positive interaction with the customers

Very helpful, friendly staff. Seemed as if someone was always present when I needed help with something. Even loaded it in my truck. In these days of, do it yourself gasoline stations, online shopping and fast food restaurants it was very pleasant to step back in time and truly relax and enjoy my shopping experience. Way to go guys!

The staff is wonderful! I went in today looking for a bulb for a lantern I couldnt find in other stores, I showed the lady a picture of what I needed and she took me right to them. Great customer service! Love this place!

Youre employees are lazy dont want to get wood pellets for me because you close in one hour just for that I will leave a bad review and you lost a customer and future because you hire lazy people good luck with everything and let beg retail end small and lazy businesses

I went to return a tool which I later realized (after I was a little more clear about what kind of job I was doing) only broke because it was not for the job at hand, something I think most people would have known already (Im sort of on my own for the first time and having to learn some household things Ive never done before). So I told them they didnt have to refund me after all, but they did anyway just out of good customer service. It could have been a much more intimidating experience but they made me feel really comfortable and helped me find what I really needed. I would definitely go back there again.

Dont let the size of the store detour you to the big box stores. They have what I need 9 out of 10 times. Amazing how much product they fit in that building.
