I walked into the store, to a short 2 person line. I asked the bouncer looking greeter, how long is the wait time to drop off and close our account? He was unable to express any information other than, I dont know. That, raised my stress level 10 fold. I hate to wait in line for anything. Customers were standing, almost lingering, uncomfortably in front of the 3 cashiers that appeared to be attempting to solve their issues, or going on break. All were seemingly awaiting for their magical conclusion of their account status. By this time, I was highly annoyed. To my surprise, the 3 cashiers finally completed their tasks. Two of them, engaged in small talk, then one left for a break. The other wandered around for 2 mins. No problem, but now with 3 potential cashiers available, and I am the only customer in the store, with no eye contact, nor verbal exchange awaited another painful 2 minutes. I know it may sound unreasonable to some folks, however, I acknowledge that I attempt to utilize all my available time efficiently, as it is extremely precious for managing my daily activities. I was finally thrilled, when the center cashier called me up and had me out the door in 3 to 4 minutes. So, at the end of the day, I am please to offer a 5 star rating despite my lack of patience. You gals are doing a great job! Please always be aware of impatient people like me and get us out of your day. I really appreciate your effort to close my 20 year account, that we will re-open when I finish my new home in January. Thanks

Pretty quick service. I needed to swap a router and I was in and out within 10 minutes. The clerk was very helpful and took care of me very quickly and without even questioning why I wanted to swap it. I truly appreciated that, even if she wasnt very talkative.I did find it interesting that if you want to make a payment that you have to use a machine. I actually saw people come in specifically to use the payment machine, so it must be popular. I think, though, if you were going to use a machine to make your payment, you could just use your phone or your computer and save a trip. Online banking/bill payment is free and you would save a trip.

I took time from work and traveled 30 minutes (an hour round trip) for a 3pm appointment to pick up a modem to find that the store was closed from 3-4pm. I had been told that the store was opened until 6pm and had not received any communication about that change. I was on the phone with agents for an hour asking if they could ship a modem and waive the $15.00 shipping fee. I was told that per their terms and conditions, it could not be waived and I could go back the next day for free. Free to whom, I asked. When I ask to speak to a supervisor, they were all conveniently in a meeting together. I have been with Comcast since year 2000 and to say I was disappointed in this poor customer service is an understatement. Unbelievable!!

I had a Verizon customer service person call me dad wanted me to switch my service to Verizon and I have never heard anything but bad about Verizon they dont answer the phone you cant ever get through to him some people said that they they like them but personally I think its a pain and then switching everything around is that the pain but anyway instead of doing all that I called my service provider Comcast and lo and behold they gave me everything that Verizon was willing to give me my speed up to 900 the fastest they have non-commercial and did a couple of things tweak my TV tweet my phone service and I was really happy that happened because you dont have to switch a service to get the goodies you just have to ask him why am I not getting this from yall when somebody else is willing to offer it to me and normally most of the time theyll give it to you and at least Comcast answers the phone but thats just my opinion

Customer service depends on the employee behind the counter. Today (07/07/21) the employee was just there for a check but very uninterested in ensuring the customer is there. Previous employees have been great and worth going every time and makes you feel good being a Comcast customer but again its hit and miss.

Have never been here B4 but it was excellent.If course theres a bit of a delay due to the amount of people in line. The young man I dealt with was polite, friendly and efficient.The guy at the door did an excellent job of directing people. Over all good place.

I would post zero stars if I could. I have been trying to return Comcast equipment for two weeks now. The first time, there was a written sign in the door saying they had closed early and wouldnt be open until next Monday. Today, I arrived at 3:30 p.m. to find another handwritten sign stating the shop was closed for lunch and will reopen around 4:15. I have literally wasted over an hour of driving time now trying to return the equipment, per instructions from Comcast. Never again.

I showed up at 3pm & they posted a sign on the door closed for lunch 3-4pm. I returned at 4 & there was only 1 person working with a line of 10 ppl waiting. Each person took 15 minutes with the lone employee. I gave up on this location & left because the experience was so unpleasant & the wait so long.Do whatever you can online, on the phone & just use ups to ship equipment. The xfinity retail stores are completely dysfunctional.

I called for my job. They sent a service technician out within 3 hours. This man came in, looked around for 2 mins and knew exactly what the problem. The problem was fixed on the spot and we havent had any issues ever since. Also, the guy was so awesome that he explained everything to me little by little and took his time. I would recommend these guys.

The service is great, but I moved to a new address and the technician came to set it up and I was told he would not need to come inside at all. He welcomed himself right into my house without my permission he did nothing to my box everything was done outside, he told me I had to set up a new account password through his own personal phone, all of this made me super uncomfortable and I was told by the agent that there was no reason the technician would need to come inside my house. To top it all off he wasn’t wearing a mask at all and he smelled like he had not had a bath in about three weeks. He again did not look at my box or even need to come inside for any reason at all and setting up my personal information with my password on his phone made me highly uncomfortable. Awful to be put in a position where you feel you need to ask somebody to step away or put a mask on...

The staff member at the Boulevard and Marshall Street location was EXTREMELY helpful. She so patient with all of my questions and quickly diagnosed how to remedy my concerns. Im a huge advocate of customer service. Im sorry that I didnt get her name, but she was working today (September 23, 2020) around 3:30 PM. We need more individuals like her!

Awesome product in itself, but the customer service is horrible. If you ever have an actual issue that’s where they fall short. I’ve moved three times with xfinity products and each time they claim that the home I’m moving into has recently had Comcast and self install is available. EVERY time now(in the middle of sorting out the 3rd now) that has been incorrect and a tech has to come out to fix the issue. I don’t mind paying the install fee- but get it right the first time and communicate that up front! Part of them setting up an account(they say they verify it every time) is determining whether or not the home is eligible for self install. Now it’s my issue and I’m supposed to pay $80 to have someone come out. At this point I’d rather pay $230 to get out early and give the business to another company who can get it right the first time. Mistakes happen in all businesses(from someone who works in customer service) but when it repeatedly happens it’s frustrating.

The young lady name Paris Mosby was very patient with me showing me exactly where to plug my internet into the box. I got a little confused as she said not to worry and went over the steps again to make sure I had it down. She went over and beyond the usual to make me feel more at ease before I left the store. I really loved and appreciated that extra time she gave me without giving it a second. I would like her to be promoted to higher position so that she can train the other employees there her ways also, especially when helping older seniors like myself to be more relaxed and not to worry about others behind them, who may be in a rush. We just moved to the area and called Comcast for internet. Call goes good, then we call again to check and confirm they will come and get things going. First they push our date further back then just hang up the phone with no Im sorry for the mix up. 😒 And they told us they have internet for this area. Had to call our satellite provider to get the truth.

We’ve been struggling with our internet constantly dropping out. As my wife works from home this is unacceptable. Calling customer service is a nightmare. They fixed the problem every time, until a few days passed. Last time I spoke to a supervisor who said my modem needed replaced, something I had asked the technicians about and was told that wasn’t the problem. The supervisor was unsympathetic and unhelpful. This companies customer service sucks.

Only 2 people standing in line allowed in building at a time. Stood outside in 90 degree heat for half hour and I was 5th in line. Got inside 3 people in front of me, 2 at window, 1 in front of me, waited another 20 minutes. Associates were slow and two were helping one customer. No thank you for you patience, no smiles. It took me 5 minutes to do transaction of replacing a router.

Its easy to get to this Comcast customer service location, but parking is extremely limited, (street only). And there is little to no other parking nearby. Having a driver drop you off, & pick you up when youre done, is a good idea.

I went here to return my old xfinity box for a new one. After waiting for 20 minutes the woman at the front told me that I needed to go to a store that was closer to my home in order to return it, even though she had it in stock. On top of that she was rude and had an attitude. Had to go all the way to midlothian even though I happened to be in the area of Richmond. Bad experience here.

Comcast is the worst company Ive ever dealt with, they lie, cheat and steal from you. If you sign up for a 50% off deal, they will send you a bill for 100% and treat you badly if you question it. Rude, poor service, Comcast will constantly call and worm your pocket with a fat corporate hand to try and get you to sign up for service you dont want and lie about the price going down if you take it. Comcast will raise your bill at every possible opportunity. Sign up ONLY if you like abuse!

One of Comcast workers just came to my house to pick up equipment. I asked him could he come another time or if I can drop them off later. He stated no that I would be charged $500 per box if he left without it. I did not schedule a visit nor was I contacted about a visit was scheduled. This bad customer service. Also I was planning on reconnecting my services. I have been out of work since Christmas and I started a new job this week. I just got off a 10 hour shift and did not plan on dealing with this today.Even tho the service is expensive....my family enjoyed it. I hope Comcast get better smh. Contact your customers before popping up.

I spoke to Comcast Customer care on the phone, which was great. They took care of me, gave me clear instructions as to what I needed to have carried out at this store location, and even notated my account so that the local staff would have guidance and know EXACTLY what to do. When I showed up, not only did the local staff just immediately dismiss me by saying we dont do that, they didnt even bother pulling up my account and viewing the notes so that they could assist a long time customer. I will NEVER go there again. BE ADVISED; there is an alternate location at Staples Mill which is much better staffed with folks who might actually try to be helpful.

The parking situation will make you crazy unless you are well versed in Richmond parking. But once you are inside, too easy. I needed to exchange a modem, and was in and out in just a few minutes. It took longer to find a spot and park than I was in here. The incredibly friendly young lady behind the counter couldnt have been more on point and professional.

Zero Stars - I will never use this company for any service. Over 10 years ago I turned my equipment in to cancel my service because I was moving in the same city. I even brought brought in extra equipment that they had sent me by accident. Months later I found out I had an outstanding bill for $400 for the missing equipment. I went to the comcast office to settle the matter but they would not - I had lost my receipt. I did not pay out of principle. Years later I am still getting a bill for now about $500 from a collector. I will not pay it. comcast has low $50,000 in potential revenue from me and more from the many others that I have mention this situation. I do mainly blame the the workers in the Richmond Office, and the company overall.

Just spent FOREVER on phone with supervisor over cancellation fee they charged me even though the home I moved to, they don’t offer service at! I e had Comcast for over 4 years, paid bill ontime each month then when I moved, begged them to offer service but they just don’t so they penalize me for their lack of service! Will never use them again! Terrible service and very bad customer service... I’m sure they don’t care about my bad review, only care about their bottom line... the all mighty $$$$!!

When I went there, their Internet service was down all day and they were unable to help me! I had to go to Xerox-Richmond(aka Short Pump) to the Comcast customer service office for Bizarro Richmond where Internet works when the Internet in Richmond is down. Comcast is awful. Try anything else. Prodigy, CompuServe, even AOL are all far superior models.
