This is a smaller Ten Thousand Villages than others I’ve been in but still wonderful. We always find cute things for us and unique gifts for others while also having the opportunity to ensure the hard-working artisans from other countries get the fair market value for their trade. This is truly a special place!

Neat place with some unique artistic items. Helpful friendy staff. Not youre run of the mill knick knack place.

My first visiting this shop and I will definitely go back. Loved everything about it. The birds in my yard are going to love this new birdhouse.

Ten Thousand Villages in Carytown is a special place and offers quite a variety of beautiful high quality handmade items. This afternoon while visiting the area, I was lucky to find time to step into the store again. I really like the wide variety of items available in this store and enjoy supporting fair trade. To me that means a hand up to help elevate global society, and that’s good!

I have been shopping at Ten Thousand Villages for 20 years. I love their mission and ethos. However, the Richmond store is one of the most poorly merchandised Ten Thousand I have ever visited. I have been there a few times over the years, but it has not gotten better. They very much need to bring in some fresh merchandising talent! I give it 5 stars because I love who they are, otherwise I give this particular store 3 stars for product and product merchandising.

This is one of my favorite stores in Carytown. It has things from all over the world and every purchase usually helps some community in a third world country. The items are beautiful, handmade, eclectic, and unique. I LOVE LOVE LOVE their baskets. Everything there speaks to me and I usually fund good birthday/Christmas presents there. Something unique that you can feel good about buying and you know its one of a kind. You have to stop in when youre in Carytown and check this store out. Spend the time because you will find little gems of items if you take the time to look around.

Awesome fair trade gift shop, with lots of unique and interesting products, and much of the proceeds go to supporting worthy social and environmental causes around the globe!
