To put it simply, these guys are the best mechanics Ive ever taken a vehicle to. Within an hour they were able to tell me everything that was wrong with my vehicle. (And there was a good bit, my truck is a bit older) Alongside the very fast diagnostic, reasonable pricing, and outstanding service, they were able to complete all the repairs I decided to have them do that day. I dropped my truck off on a Friday, not expecting to see the thing till mid Monday at best, and they were able to take care of it during the course of one afternoon. Im moving to Phoenix, but when visiting the state, these guys will be my exclusive mechanics. Highly recommend.

They had to pull our engine in order to replace the water pump. They explained everything this entailed and which parts could be replaced as the process went forward. They finished the job a day early. Very professional, very friendly. They will be our go to from now on!

Since we moved from out of state we have been looking for a Auto service provider and have been very satisfied with Browns. We have had out AC serviced in one car and the oil changed in another. I really appreciate hearing a warm and friendly voice on the phone when making an appointment. Once I walked in for my appointment, I was again greeted warmly by name. I immediately felt welcomed. In regards to my car, things were explained clearly and I had an estimate ahead of time. I loved having text communication with photos regarding the progress of my vehicle. The whole process was smooth, timely and pleasant from beginning to end. Darrell was at the other end of the warm and friendly voice and is outstanding at customer service. My service was in Rio Rancho and I have already referred a friend to Browns Automotive based on this positive experience.

Ive been meaning to write this review for Browns Automotive, Rio Rancho, after my initial experience last month. Having moved to NM last year, this is only the second auto repair shop Ive taken my Subaru Outback to. As most of you know, it takes time to find a shop you can trust your vehicle with. Although I did experience a hiccup upon the first service repair, I was ultimately impressed with the professionalism, accountability, and follow through of the owner and his team. They went above and beyond to take care of me and my vehicle; and for these reasons, I would definitely bring my Subaru back to them for any necessary maintenance checks/repairs. Wow! Amazing shop!GOOD CHOICE!Long story short... my bank wouldnt allow me to pay for repairs because of the age of my new checking account. Dumb... BUT......When I couldnt get the shop immediately paid, the front desk guy offered (wouldnt take No as an answer) to run me home!Great communication and service on all the multiple repairs I had them take care of.

Darryl helped us through the whole repair process after our car was vandalized. The insurance company (Allstate) made excuse after excuse and refused to pay the full invoice for almost TWO MONTHS. Darryl was on the phone and emailing constantly with Allstate, and also kept contant communication with us. I am certain that without his hard work we still would not have our car back. The crew at Browns was professional, kind and very helpful. Moral of the story: go to Browns, dont use Allstate.

Browns did a thorough inspection when I brought my Sprinter RV in to obtain a quote for brake replacement on front wheels. They discovered one damaged shock absorber on front wheels. I then had the replace the brakes and shock absorbers on front wheels. The report on the inspection was clearly indicated and I felt the information was greatly appreciated. The Repairs were done in one day and stood by their quote for the repairs. I am extremely pleased for the service they provided.

Was having trouble with my box truck and found these guys nearby me, they dont even work on these trucks. Came out and fixed my problem in a few minutes and saved me from having some major issues a few miles down the road. Cant say enough. AWESOME PEOPLE. Highly reccomend!

Highly recommend Browns automotive. They change oil the correct way.Many auto repair facilities drain oil through the dip-stick which leaves some old oil in the oil pan to mix with the new oil. Brown automotive actually removes the oil pan drain plug to drain all the used oil. This is the reason I use Browns for oil changes and repairs.

Took in for check engine light. After they assured me they could help to diagnose they took in my car. They then told me that they didn’t know what was wrong and I should take it elsewhere, and still charged me the full price of the service. They should have refunded my money since they failed to do their job.

Browns was able to get two of my vehicles looked at and serviced within the same day. They give honest service and they do not attempt upsell you for any unnecessary repairs. Their repair tracking system is top notch and gives updates with photos and inspection analysis results.

I had my dead truck hauled over there to find out how to get her running again. Leslie, The magical coordinator of all things, was immediately reassuring on the phone, sent me this amazingly detailed, text-based report (including pictures) of every inspection, and all of the results had found while looking for the problems with the truck. She called me at times throughout the day to keep me apprised of what was happening and give me options. It was the best treatment this little truck (and me) have had at an automotive shop..The repairs were not as dire as I expected, the price was totally within expected range, they have a shuttle who will come and get you to pick up your car, and Leslie called me up the following week to see how the car was doing and if everything was up to snuff. That is awesome service. They also take AAA and will give you a discount if you are a AAA member. I cant imagine that I would go anywhere else from now on.

What a great auto repair shop to do business with. The customer service was wonderful. I really appreciated them having a digital vehicle inspection. They did a great job on my brake inspection and alignment and I even had them replace my windshield wipers. What a great place to do business with. I highly recommend using them.

We ended up trading our car rather than repairing it, but next time we need a repair, our first call will be to Browns.

Fantastic service. Got my truck in same day. I appreciate all the extra effort documenting the work done and what to keep an eye on. We were in town to take care of my late Aunts estate. She left me her truck. We knew it needed a little work before driving it back to Virginia and then Florida. Called for a simple estimate and the receptionist was not able to give me one. Wanted me to bring my vehicle in after repeatedly telling her it is not driveable. I had let her know that I knew exactly what needed to be done from my 2 previous evaluation. She insisted for me to bring in my previous estimate on what needed to be done in person. Would of love have done business with the high quality reviews. Went with someone else that was able to give me a direct estimate on a intake manifold.

I only take my vehicle to places with people that I can trust. They know what they’re doing here and they won’t price gouge you. Awesome service and staff.

The process was quick and easy to inspect my vehicle. I like the updates on service process and the added pictures were a nice touch. Everyone was very nice and helpful.

An absolutely wonderful experience so professional that gives one a great sense of confidence. When they check the oil level etc.. They send photo evidence to your cell of the entire step by step process. It doesnt get any better than that. They certainly have my business.

Moved from FL to ABQ a year ago and brought my car into this shop. My dad owned a shop for 20 years in FL so I am pretty well aware of prices and expectations when getting my car serviced. I brought it in for an oil change and a change of front light bulbs (which I had the bulbs for them). Was extremely over priced and will never return to this shop. They use a software which dealerships use for pricing - if you want dealership pricing, take it to the dealership and do not support this local shop. Beware of their prices.

Came in early...NO PROBLEM...Got me in right away. GREAT service in a timely manner! Everyone was interested in having my experience as pleasant as possible while still attending to my vehicle. Cant say enough about the personnel as well as the service and have recommended them in the past!!

They charged me 119.95 for diagnostics. When I came in I had done the diagnostics and told them what the problem was which was the clockspring. Many places will do diagnostics for free. They also diagnosed an electrical problem with turn signal rear bulb and charged $60 to fix a loose wire and bulb. They are overpriced for their other services also. I will never go back to them. Do not go here.....The story goes on. I just got call from Brown’s. I assume the lady who called was the manager or part owner. She asked me to make her understand the problem was which was clearly stated above (a very condescending and defensive start to the conversation the way it was said). She asked what she could do to keep our business. I responded that it was her decision. (The solution was obvious... refund me the $119.95 + some of the $60 excess charge for the light bulb.). She said I understand and hung up on me. Again I state don’t go here. The lesson here is that she didn’t care about solving an obvious problem. I am perplexed because many places do not charge diagnostic fees (Meineke, Pep Boys, some parts stores, etc.) and they. advertise as such. Why did she not see this as the main problem I don’t know. By the way my wife and her adult son listened to the conversation and were equally disappointed by Her response. I also want to make it clear that this the Rio Rancho Brown’s Automotive and that the review does NOT apply to their 2 locations on 4th Street in Albuqerque.

I can’t believe how well taken care of I was as a customer. You just don’t get the type of service that the Brown automotive staff gives. From the initial phone call to showing up and having the job done right the first time. Leslie at the front kept me up to date via messenger and email. They are honest and quick. Took my car in to have the brakes checked out and i was taken care of better than any past experience at the dealership or any of those Brake Service franchises. Browns didnt just look at my brakes, they provided me with a pretty comprehensive inspection on my whole vehicle. I cant say enough about the quality of service i received. Brakes were in great shape and i ended up just getting an oil change. I walked out very happy and will be sure to be back with all my vehicle needs! Thank you all at Browns for taking care of me!

Was very excited to see Browns Automotive Open in Rio Rancho. Needed some work on my daughter’s Nissan Sentra. Browns did a free vehicle inspection and text it to me with a tremendous amount of details and photos. The work was done on time and on budget and the car runs and rides great. Friendly knowledgeable staff and great emphasis on customer service. Would highly recommend.

Browns Automotives relatively new (since July, I think) location in southern Rio Rancho is now our familys service center. Theyre punctual and thorough. Also, their system will send you progress reports (if you like) as the inspection or repair is ongoing, with photos of the work in progress. Their web page makes online appts a snap. I have a 1966 Mustang Convertible. I have some trust issues with who works on the car. It was having some ignition problems and I did not have the time to trouble shoot it myself. In the past, I’ve used another mechanic on the other side of town, but it’s pretty inconvenient and I feel like they don’t really value my business. I’m just a “number” to them.I contacted Brown’s through their contact page on their website and Leslie immediately reached out via email. I communicated my concerns about who works on my car. She was understanding, gave me some background on the mechanic who would be working on my car (Justin), and suggested a date and time to bring it in. When I brought it in, Leslie was at the front desk and called Justin up front so that I could speak with him directly. I felt like they respected my fondness for my car (no matter how irrational it is). They both made me feel comfortable leaving my Mustang there to be worked on.I received a “workflow status change” email almost immediately. The information was generic, but I appreciate that there was a least some communication. They notified me late in the day that they wanted to keep the car overnight. A small inconvenience to make sure the problem was fixed properly. The next morning, I was emailed the results of their full inspection with pictures and details of what they found.When I came to pick up the car, Justin (the mechanic) was at the desk so I was able to discuss what work was done as well as a couple of things that were found during the inspection. Justin was enthusiastic when discussing my car with me. This seems like a small thing, but it matters. There are many places to get competent automotive work done. I prefer working with a company that treats me as more than just a number. My experience with Brown Automotive in Rio Rancho was excellent. I plan to take all my cars there.
