I have been a regular customer for almost 5 years and have always been very pleased with customer service... until recently. They have a new manager that I have witnessed berating her employees in front of customers and they are always obviously on edge when she is present. Customer service has declined, unfortunately. I have seen this manager being rude to customers and have heard other people in my neighborhood voice the same complaints. I now avoid giving them business whenever possible, even if it means going several blocks out of my way. Several of my neighbors agree.
I would like to commend Walter at the circle k in River Forest, Il on North Ave. He kept his cool when a customer went crazy screaming and cursing simply because he asked to see an ID because she wanted to use her credit card. Besides the fact that its a safety and security issue for the protection of the company, its also supposed to be done for the protection of the customer. What she didnt see was that he asked the same thing is me just seconds before. He explained to me why he had to ask for mymIDWalter kept his cool, and was polite the entire time, never reading his voice or being rude. This guy was awesome.
