They have some serious security issues. Ive witness very interesting situation while I was in the lane inside. Some guy lost his bike and they know who because they check the cameras but they dont wanna tell who. He said bike was very expensive and they covering a crime. Stealer has the access to the property still. Very scary how they treat your property here. Ive change my mind after this situation. Im out.

Walked in at 9:40am to check in and see the unit I rented. Carlos was working the front store and greeted me at the door. He was very polite and informative. I usually like to deal with the first person I encounter, but when I went they were not there and someone else was. I thought I was going to have to re-explain myself, but the young lady knew what I needed the moment I walked in. She was very friendly, patient and extremely knowledgeable. The facility is also very well kept and the loading areas are big enough for my husbands truck. I would 100% recommend over huge chains like CubeSmart. These people actually care and that makes a difference!

You really can’t beat it. This is the best storage in the area. Customer service is great, pricing is way cheaper than public storage nearby and location is clean. Very happy

The thing that impresses me the most is how clean they keep the hallways. Ive never seen trash or items left around and on numerous occasions I’ve caught the front desk staff wiping doors. It makes me happy to know my parents items are kept at a place where the staff cares. I really appreciate them, thank you!

The service at Compass was outstanding, excellent and professional in person and over the phone. I spoke with Carlos over the phone and I explained to him that I filled out the application, the paperwork last week with the young lady, (which was also great customer service. It was almost closing time and she still showed me 2 storage size, 10x5 and a 5x10. She had tons of patience considering I had 2 small children with me. Thanks for the great service.). He said, it was incomplete. He wanted for me to come in, but with my work schedule it was truly hard. Carlos accommodated me and took care of everything over the phone. I was amazed the customer service was exceptional, he made it convenient for me. I am very grateful that Carlos helped me over the phone. Thank you so much. I would definitely recommend Compass Self storage.

Going through some rough times with my moving. Gloria at the front was able to help me and recommend exactly what I needed for my move. She didn’t seem annoyed by my presence like most u-haul locations. She showed me some of the storage units and I even ended up renting one! I definitely recommend this location for your moving needs.

They have a promotion of the first 2 months free. They charged me the second month. When I called about it I was told they can’t refund me, basically they got my money and didn’t provide any customer service to help on the extra month they charged me. If they care that little about their customers I wouldn’t recommend using this place when there are more reputable locations.

Rented a truck about a week ago and process was fast. I was in and out the office in about 5 minutes which when you’re paying movers by the hour is very important to not have any hiccups. Very pleased.

I came to compass storage during a very difficult time in my life. I was homeless, after a bad breakup, and during a pandemic. I was so grateful to find Compass Storage. I got a huge discount on my rent, the space was climate controlled and very safe and clean.The General Manager, Carlos Quezada Jr was extremely kind, compassionate, and understanding at a time when I needed it most.I would frequently visit the storage to change out my clothes or shoes so that I wasn’t forced to carry my belongings from place to place. Each time I visited Carlos was so friendly and helpful!Once when I visited the code to enter had been changed due to me missing my payment and Carlos went above and beyond to contact the owner and make an effort to do whatever he could to help me access my belongings.Thanks Carlos!

Bait and switch gone wild. Over the course of just 18 months, their fee has been raised 4 times, which doubled the monthly rental. Management is arrogant in their responses to questions as to why.

I can’t even begin to express how pleased I am with my experience here. I recently moved out of here because I moved to Arizona. My whole experience here (1 year) was amazing. Recently they brought on board a young lady named Gloria. She is friendly, knowledgable and really cares about the facility. I always see her cleaning or helping someone out. She always greets me when she see’s me and even gave me some suggestions about repurposing some items I did not want. Truly, great customer service makes a difference and it made a lasting impression. If I ever move back to this area and need storage I will come back here without a doubt, amazing!!

Nice place, friendly staff, been there for a while, they added some flat carts, so no more issues finding one, as for pricing, just like other storage places, they go up, but nothing out of ordinary. I would recomend. Sec cameras all over the place, helps sleep at night.

Another edit, they have no problem rising their prices without a notice. Getting hold of the manager is impossible.The rental process was quick and easy. The staff very pleasant. So far so good.Unfortunately, I have to edit my rating. I have had packages shipped to the facility and new manager decided to refuse the delivery even though their website says that they do accept deliveries. The packages were returned to sender and will have to be shipped again for an additional fee.I called the River Grove location several times, nobody cared to answer the phone. Eventually, I left voice mail but again, the manager didnt care to return my call. When I went to the location, the manager told me that he didnt receive any messages from me. He also said that he doesnt accept deliveries. When I explained the mess he has caused, was told that its not his problem. Sadly, its time to look for a new storage solution.

I went to rent my very first storage unit from Julio Acosta and he was very helpful! He’s very professional, calm and an all around nice dude! I checked around to various other storage facilities and this Compass was the best I found. I’m very happy thus far and hope it continues!

Last week my wife received a call from Compass saying our storage unit was unlocked. She called me with the information and went to see what was going on. Turns out it was my error. The door was closed, but I didnt latch the lock on the unit properly.The facility is operated by Ms.Alyssa Stout who in our opinion should be highly commended at Compass for her actions. We have been renting here for a while and from day one she has been extremely courteous and professional WHENEVER we needed her assistance about our unit.The inside and outside of the facility is really well lit, very clean, inside being temperature controlled and VERY large. Ms Stout makes us feel better about choosing Compass by her attention to detail and her efforts on taking care of the tenants needs. Think about it...for her to do a walk around the ENTIRE building and notice that ONE single lock on one unit wasnt in the correct place and the door could open, out of the hundreds inside the building shows us that Ms Stout is nothing short of UNBELIEVABLE!!! She is doing an amazing job at Compass and obviously to her its not just a job, but her career. Luck for us!Our unit doesnt hold expensive items, but items from our little kids that are sentimental and dear to us. You can look at other storage places in the area, but we truly believe after how we have been treated and the security of Compass you cant go wrong.If you want to have that piece of mind knowing your belongings are safe and watched over, you cant go wrong with Ms Stout and Compass.

Valorie and Alec were instrumental in helping me resolve an issue with U-Haul truck availability. After spending hours on the phone with U-Haul being told nothing could be done, despite a previous reservation already made a month prior for a specifically sized truck, Valorie and Alec stepped in and set U-Haul straight and made it happen. I really appreciate the extra effort they took to resolve my issue and treat me as a valued customer. Compass Self Storage better do everything in its power to keep these people around--hopefully you realize they are the true assets to your company!
