I went to Rodriguez to see why my check engine light was on and to get the issue fixed. It comes back something is wrong with the second cylinder. He suggests doing a full tune up on the car which I agree to because it’s time for one. He walks off into his office and speaks to his son in Spanish, which his son heads towards my vehicle and began to work. I ask his son how much for the work. His son tells me to ask him (Rodriguez). I go to the office to ask Rodriguez how much for the tune up. Not quick to answer he quotes $400. It doesn’t sound right so I began to call to price parts and then I make calls to other repair shops who are quoting $230-$260. After hearing this I let him know it’s too high so I will not get the work done. There is a sign in his office for a diagnostic fee ranging from $65-$95. Believe it or not for him using the same machine that AutoZone uses to read check engine services codes he tries to charge me $95. At this point I express that I’ve been a loyal customer to him that’s not how you treat the people that are keeping your business going and tell him to go ahead and fix it because I’m still spending more. As I watched his son tune up my car I noticed the labor was definitely not worth extra $140-$170 because the job took 10-15 mins

Father and son team are the best. They fixed my car on time and even drove me home whenever I had to leave my car.

Rodriguez is cool. Been going to him for over 5 years now. I only had a problem with a part one time, and he fixed with no problem. I really don’t trust anyone else to work on my vehicle. He knows my vehicle very well. He also give warranties, and it’s not 30 days. Most of the time it’s6 months depending on what was done. Oh beware.... he’s very honest.

I have 4 cars used by my family and they are all older with high mileage. When I found Mr. Rodriguez I was amazed at his skill, honesty and affordable repair rates. He has kept all these cars well maintained and running better than they have for years. I will not go anywhere else for automotive repairs. I could not recommend them more highly!

Beware of any mechanic making their clients pay a deposit before the work begins. They will also charge you 3.5% to use their credit card machine. They dont take checks so the only way you can pay for the actual work they do, is by bringing cash (which is inconvenient). They also charge you an inspection fee ($35-$95) to just diagnose your car. This would be tolerable, if they were talented enough to actually fix the car. They were not. I really am surprised they are getting away with this.There are plenty of good mechanics in the Clayton County/Fayette areas that inspect a car for free and dont make their clients pay for the use of using their own credit cards. Be vigilante.

Ive been going to Rodriguez Auto Repair ever since 2010 and theyve been nothing but great to me. Mr. Rodriguez and his mechanics are extremely helpful, friendly, and honest. They discuss the issues with me about my car before doing any services unlike MANY other mechanic shops.Ive also seen many dishonest people/customers that try to swindle Mr. Rodriguez while Im waiting in the wait room for my car service to get finished and I tell you, people are unbelievable because theyre absolutely great. They know their stuff inside and out. I definitely recommend!

Dont let these guys touch your vehicle. They keep you coming back. Trying to stay in you pockets by making other problems. I advise you to keep going and find a friendly, professional honest, & trustworthy mechanic shop

This is Chris- my mother and I have been going to Jose shop for over 10yrs and hes always done a great job. Very knowledgeable he is and his staff (of course hed have to look and see what the problems is), but for the most part can fix it and fix it right👍🏿
