I love the Retail Sales Manager Katie! She is so helpful and knowledgeable on products. I usually scope out the limited amount of men’s products for skin health and I swear she’s as knowledgeable as any dermatologist I’ve visited. Thanks Katie and keep up the amazing work!

Catherine the salon manager is worth the drive, the time, and the money. Shes professional, knowledgeable, successful and friendly. Shes Utahs best kept secret! No stylist here can hold a candle to her. If youre tired of throwing your money away on a bad cut, color or style - look no further. Youll be happy with the change. Im NOT easy to please.

I have mixed feelings on how to rate Ulta. I would have given it 5 stars, because they have amazing products and I love that we can sample most of them before purchasing.However, (whether intentional or not) they told me that I could get 20% off ALL my Ulta purchases over the years if I used their master card. This seemed too good to be true, so I double checked that this deal was more than a one or two time discount on a different day with another Ulta employee who backed up this claim. Both times I also had a friend with me who witness these inaccurate claims. Then, after getting their card, this deal WAS only for the 1st purchase.So DONT GET THEIR CARD if they are telling you that you will save 20% over the years because of this card. READ THE FINE PRINT.Sadly, Master Card wasnt surprised that Ultas employees told me inaccurate information when I called to inquire about cancellation procedures. And this is why I gave ULTA only 2 stars.

I couldnt find my blush shade in Utah, but I was in North Carolina and they had a great selection! The people were very nice, set me up with your Rewards program, and Im set for a while!

First and last time I’ll visit this location. The first thing you see as you enter is a staff member with her nose hanging out of her mask. Every other Ulta location I’ve visited during the past 6 months has followed proper safety protocols without issue.

Poor Customer service with a manager and assiciate treated me poorly on a item i was exchanging cause it has no spray lid on a hair spray bottle. Associate was very rude and mouthy and that is not great customer service and the manager on duty told me it was not relevant to how the Associate treated me. I will not be back!!!! You lost a customer .

Cool products and location; however, when I entered the store today the employees were unexpectedly confrontational and curious about why I was there, more than the usual compared to visiting other Ulta Beauty locations. Furthermore, they seem to have profiled me (based on my skin color) because a security guard from Mountain View Village (the respective shopping mall) quickly entered the store and followed me around throughout my entire visit. I must note, the store was pretty empty, so it was pretty obvious what their intention and concern were. This was extremely uncomfortable. When I finished shopping and began checking out, the security guard left. I only recommend this location if you want your appearance to be profiled, assumptions to be made about you, and extra security to be requested to follow you around while shopping.

The Ulta I frequent most. I love how friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful the staff always is. Any questions I have they can answer. I also love the products available here, but also that so rarely do they not have what I need in stock.

I simply said, I want my money back and the manger began to lecture me for the 3 minutes about using kind words. Very unprofessional. I feel bad that of all the Ultas Ive ever shopped at these girls are the poorest trained of all. I sent my daughter in for a return. They only gave her a gift card. When I went in, they didnt know how to return my money. Weird. I still want my money back--and thats not rude.

I have normally had great service at other Ulta’s in MT and AR. However after reading these reviews I am nervous about bringing my granddaughter in. We do have questions and she is only 12 yrs. old. I am hoping you have worked on the attitude and professionalism of the staff and manager. I usually buy a fair amount of products and use the brow and hair services. I hope I am surprised. Many reviews were pretty negative.

I’ve not ever been to an Ulta store. I don’t use a lot of the types of products they sell but when I need something, I normally go to Sephora. This store is close to me and I needed an item. I had an allergic reaction to the product and went to return it. The return itself was easy but the cashier...awful/rude/condescending. I also realized later that she gave me back the pre tax amount not the full amount but I’m not going back for $2.50, or ever.

Turned me away when going to in buy a $400 hair dryer for my wife because I had no mask. The employee told me, after she was touching products then touching her mask and head, I couldn’t come in without a mask. What’s the point of PPE if you can’t even wear it properly?

Candace made my experience at Ulta AMAZING and created a new Ulta customer! Great employees and good service are hard to find these days and I was so delighted with my visit to Ulta this past week I had to let others know. I was in town visiting family and had difficulty with airline and planes switching, long story short I didnt receive my bag (with all of my makeup, skincare, hair, etc.) until 3 days into my trip so I had to pick up some things to get me by. This was such a nightmare I was annoyed and frustrated walking in and Candace completely turned my day around. I had already picked out my hair items and moisturizer and was honestly not looking forward to picking out makeup items because of my previous experiences with sales associates not fully listening to my needs and recommending products that just dont work for me. On top of having a cruelty free preference, its almost impossible to find products that work for me. Candace must have seen me looking lost and greeted me with a smile. She asked how I was doing and what I was looking for. I explained what I was searching for and she was able to recommend products based on my needs. It felt like she really listened to my concerns and showed me things that were realistic for me, I was able to get some of my favorites like my too faced mascara while she also showed my some new things that I now love! Like IT cosmetic concealer and a beauty blender (which has changed my life!) I wasnt expecting much but left with a different perspective on Ulta and a better mood than when I walked in all thanks to Candace! She is the standard of what all Ulta customer service should be! Thanks for the great experience Candace, Ulta is now my go to for all things beauty!

Want to give a shout out to Shelby in the hair salon at this location. Shelby has rescued my hair two times and done my hair three times. The first time she corrected my hair from a botched bleach job. Although the price for me was pretty high it was worth it. The second time she helped me through breakage on my hair and did an awesome job. However, I was sticker shocked by Ulta’s hair salon prices and although I had her do my hair one more time felt that $200 (160 + tip) out the door was too much for me. I wish I could stick with her because I trust her, loved the way she colored my hair and cut it and her warm professionalism with me. Although I’m giving someone else a shot who is in my affordable price range I will be back again it if doesn’t work out. Thanks for taking good care of me Shelby and recommend you to anybody else needing a good hair stylist who isn’t fazed by Ulta’s high prices!

Great place

I came here twice and both times I got horrible customer service. They would completely ignore me and when I ask for help they would do the minimum or less. They would help others that were prettier than me for quite some time and gave them tons of advice. I was ready to spend a lot of money and I walked out feeling horrible about myself, twice, within two years. I recently came in again, I dont have a mask and they refused me service. I asked if they had one to give and they told me no. I will never go to a Ulta Beauty again.

This is my favorite Ulta in Utah! I love getting my hair done here! They almost always have the things I want in stock. I buy a lot of product online, but when I am looking for something special I usually will go out of my way to go to this store. They also have a great selection of products on clearance here. Alot of Ultas have gross left overs that nobody wants in their clearance section, but this Ulta always has hidden treasures!

They were able to get me in last minute for a make up application and Nick did an AMAZING job. I am not gifted when it comes to make-up but he explained everything to me as he was applying it. I am in awe with how my make up turned out and I’m hoping he can do my make up for my wedding!

Friendly and attentive staff. Classic Ulta experience. Great return policy and wonderful selection to choose from for good values. Very similar in many ways to Sephora, but much more space for browsing the store and a much larger selection at this store. They run out of popular products, which keeps this from getting the extra star. That may not be an uncommon problem, and they can offer you free shipping for an online order to try to get you what you want. But our product was out online as well so Ulta unfortunately is a 4-star experience.

This store always gets me in trouble. Im not even a girlie-girl but everyone is so helpful when I go in and next thing I know, I have $200 of product in hand. And my husband is worse. They have everything a metro man with a beard could ever want and then some.

A newer Ulta with a lot of updated features! They have a full line of Lancome and Mac cosmetics as well as a lot of other brands that other Ultas do not carry. This place is clean and the service is great and the employees have specialized training in specific brands. If you cant find something or need suggestions, they are ready to help. This place is really rivaling Sephora, for sure. Especially for us on the West side.

I go here to get my hair cut by Zoey Walker, she is awesome! Shes very talented and pays close attention to detail and has done a great cutting and styling my hair. She takes the time to tell you what shes doing and offers advice on how to maintain the style. Shes also very friendly and easy to talk to. I highly recommend Zoey to anyone looking for an amazing stylist! Everyone else here is super nice and friendly too.

I got Duke Canon soap and beard oil here! They both smell awesome and feel great! Totally sweet products! Although Im not in to makeup, this is a cool store for certain male products.

If you are a regular here, they wont hesitate to say hi, and get to know you a bit. Great store and great employees.

Dont go here looking like the common house wife, appearances are very important here...I ran into this location to grab my daughter some new make-up to celebrate the new school year. I asked if there was a restroom I could use and was given a finger point in the right direction...Afterwards I was browsing all the fun things in the clearance section and found some great gift sets and I was opening them to make sure nothing was broken or missing and an employee stopped and asked me if something was wrong. I explained I was just checking them, I was simply opening them, not even touching anything or pulling it out. I made my way to the front and watched a security guard come in and speak with the manager. She quickly disappeared and he walked around the display I was looking at and told me an employee had said I had put something in my purse. He asked if I had done that, I emphatically replied no and asked if he wanted to check and he then gave me a lecture about how they were all just trying to keep the shoplifting under control in the area and justified their right to make accusations. I still bought the gift set for some dumb reason and it didnt ring up on the sale price so we had to wait for the same manager to come up to the register and change it...not a word was said to me, she wouldnt even look at me. What I thought was going to be a really fun gift for my girls turned out to be a very embarrassing public shaming. This was only my second time in an Ulta store but it will definitely be my last.

I bought a foundation, took it home & tried it and it was waaaaaay too light. I brought it back about an hour later and the staff was very helpful and accommodating. They found my right color & exchanged it no problem. In and out in less than 15 minutes.

If I could give Shelby a higher score I would. I recently took out my extensions and my scalp was feeling a little tender. I scheduled a scalp treatment originally, but after speaking with shelby we added a color service to my appointment. Shelby was very professional. I could tell by the way she was handling my hair that she knew what she was doing. She was gentle with my scalp and did an A+++ job on the color. She did not force a conversation which is nice because I am a quieter person. But when I did speak, she show genuine intrest. Shelby is a keeper! Don’t let her go.

My wife scheduled an appointment to get her hair done, the first nice thing she could do for herself after giving birth a week ago. When she got there they told her that they were double booked because they had a problem with the system. They told her they couldnt do her hair. Even though she had an appointment. On top of that they were very rude about it as if it was her fault. Needless to say she will never go back here nor reccomend anyone go here in the future.

Pleasantly surprised with their customer service today. I really don’t like going into physical Ulta stores because I feel their customer service is not the best. I’ve visited this location a few times and was basically ignored. Candace helped me today and she was an absolute sweetheart.

Ulta altogether is awesome, but this location 13200 South and MVC is the bees knees. They have a vast selection of brands.

Ulta has been one of my favorite stores to shop at for a few years now, however this location is awful in terms of customer service. This location is less than 5 minutes from my house so I have made several visits there in the short time it’s been open. The associates are terrible, they walk right past you without a word, do not offer to help you find anything, they don’t even make eye contact or say hi. I’ve wandered around this store looking for things for upwards of 15 minutes with no associates in site making it impossible to even walk up and ask someone for help.When I finally go to the checkout the associate will say a few words to me but will then just speak to the other associates about non work related things and not even thank me for coming in or say bye or anything. They were even bad mouthing their manager right in front of me on my most recent visit.Every other ulta I’ve shopped at has always been amazing with customer service and they are always helpful. Not this one, which is really disappointing since it’s so convenient for me.In all honesty I will most likely continue to shop at this location occasionally because I don’t have time to drive 15-20 minutes to another location but if I can avoid it I will.

Had the most unfortunate experience with the Salon at this Ulta this past Friday. This is my 4th time coming to the salon for services here and my feeling is they can be hit or miss in customer service and quality.This review is strictly for the service I received from esthetician Karen. I had a confirmed 4:45pm appointment for a 30 minute facial knowing I had to leave Ulta by 5:30, I thought this would be sufficient time. I arrived at 4:45pm and was told Karen was running behind so I sat and waited. At 5:05 nobody had come to give me an update and I was debating about walking out I was so appalled that I had been waiting for 20 minutes. At 5:07 Karen leans over the salon counter, as she had been helping her current client who had an arm full of products (cheers to you Karen if you scored a big commission off the products she bought) and apologized but says it will be about 5 more minutes. I look at her and ask why nobody called me and told me you were running 30 minutes behind and she apologized again and said she would discount my service for the wait. I told her that I had needed to leave by 5:30pm and it’s unlikely with how my time has already gone in the salon that I would get out of there on time and have a service provided to me at the level I expected. I walked out.Don’t recommend Karens services to anyone, don’t recommend the salon at this Ulta to anyone also, especially if you have things to do and don’t want to wait but instead want to be seen at your booked appointment time. Beware!

This place has a beauty product for everything and anyone. There is a huge selection of all sorts of different brands of makeup and hair products. It was clean and had plenty of options for testing products. My issue upon first getting there was that I walked around looking lost for several minutes and no one came to ask me what I needed help with. I almost left without getting what I needed. Instead I waited in line at the cash register and asked the cash register for help trying out some Clinique mascara. She had someone meet me at the Clinique station. At first I was annoyed that I had to wait in line to ask for help, but the girl who came to help me with the Clinique mascara seemed very knowledgeable. She got me test brushes and helped me select the right mascara for me (see picture). It struck me as she was helping me that it must be difficult to have to know everything and answer questions about such a vast variety of beauty products.

I had a hair appointment with the salon at the Riverton location when i went to my appointment the girls in the salon told me i was not on the books. They were extremely rude. The salon manager treated me so terrible and gave me nasty looks the whole time i was there. She was very rude and unprofessional. I would never return to this location to shop or for hair care service.

Hands down the rudest staff Ive ever encountered. I only came here to buy some Mac products but will from now on drive out of my way to West Valley to avoid the rude staff here!
