Guy was nice and helpful. Smaller selection of board games than I would expect for a shop of that size. Hopefully business picks up and he can stock more games as I would like to shop there more, but we already cleaned him out of all the games we were interested in.

I just went to look, but I still left with a new game. There is a huge selection of board games, card games, and tabletop rpgs with accessories, and the associate there was readily available and super helpful.

Massive selection of gaming stuff. Warhammer, board games, other miniatures, paints, brushes, etc. There was a play area in back, but nobody else was there, as I went in early. Guy at the counter was personable and helpful as well.

Came in to look for a game my wife and I could play. A gentleman whom I took to be the owner listened to what I said I was looking for and suggested several options. He asked me questions and explained the mechanics of several different games. I eventually settled on one if his suggestions and purchased the game.This was a very positive experience and I would not hesitate to shop here again.

Recently moved to the area, and was looking for a place to hobby and get hobby supplies. Alex was super friendly and welcoming. They are very conscious of the precautions regarding Covid, and it is a very clean and sanitary establishment. I cannot wait until a post-Covid time when hobby groups are a thing again. Also, the store used to be a restaurant, so there is a nonfunctional kitchen on the premises, but hopefully it may open for a more complete hobby experience where I do not have to order delivery. I shall return.

Excited that Roanoke has a local game shop! Nice selection and the staff was helpful in talking us through how to find a game appropriate for a family with lots of kids of various ages that all would enjoy. Also cool - if you got an Amazon gift card from someone and you’d rather shop local - they accept them! Also excited they were open on a holiday weekend.

I went in looking to get into Warhammer: Age of Sigmar and Alex was extremely helpful in helping me understand what to look for in starting out your army and was extremely patient and willingly answered all the questions I had. It was great to hear the excitement in Alexs voice as he was telling me about the different factions and their abilities and it got me even more stoked to pick out my first set in this series. Im always in a great mood when I leave after purchasing something from Mishap and today continued that trend. Thanks Mishap and many thanks for all the help Alex!

The place is just fantastic for those who are interested in tabletop games. It is clean, organized, and the new location looks amazing on the inside. Some of the staff can seem a bit stand-offish at times, but if you ask them a question they are normally very helpful. All around, its a great place that I find myself coming back to on a regular basis.

A bit over priced and the staff was not very friendly but they had some cool games and a wide selection. Only two BattleTech items in the whole store.

Has a ton of space, but the selection for Board games could be better. For DnD battlemaps or Warhammer anything, this would be the place to go!

The cleanest and most organized gaming store Ive been to. Ive visited many gaming stores from Virginia through ohio, west virginia and more and this one is by far the nicest one Ive been to. A separate gaming area in back so that shoppers can be somewhat separated from any raucous groups into their games, tons of selection of games and a well laid out floorplan. Visit here for your gaming needs.

When in to look for a few things I wanted to buy (Turbodork and GW), no one else in the store, but the salesman didnt even say hi or anything. Very poor customer service. Ill just save my money for another local hobby store (like my own).Frankly, this isnt the first time I have been astounded by the decline in this store. I believe that personal feel bads have driven some of their staff to single out customers that they dont like. I really wish this store the best of luck because every gaming community relies on local stores to grow. Super Games Plus could be that store. A place where there are no politics, no BS, no feel bads. Just people that love to game.

Was a big fan of this place when they first opened up at their 460 location but they have basically become a Games Workshop store with some table top rpg and board games. The newer staff are rude and unhelpful. I dont know what changed internally but I will no longer be giving them my business.

Good place, service was helpful and they had alternatives when the board games I wanted werent in stock. It is a great place to by miniatures, as well. It wasnt their fault, but google has it listed that they sell mtg cards when they dont at all. Overall, great place for any and all things D&D (except mtg cards), with many other board games, miniatures, and art supplies.

The shop is clean, well organized, well stocked and super comfortable. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable about everything they sell. They have a great space for gaming and really well done terrain to borrow that really steps up your game.

Great selection of all things tabletop rpg

This store has evolved alot since its first opening. Solid stratagem of keeping space open for the 40k and ttrpg crowds has paid of well. Offerings include a staggering selection of board games, miniatures, and painting suplies, and accesories, and to a lesser extent books. 40k is offered on a number of custom tables/ terrain. Staff is helpful and quite knowledgeable. Gaming space is a bit limited after a recent move however a bacement space is being prepared at the time of this review that looks to quadruple the current games space.

They have a great selection and variety. Their store hosts three basic sections: miniatures, games (like board and card), and role-playing games. I personally was more interested in the games, but the variety of their miniature supplies definitely piqued my interest. For their game sections, their use of cubby holes instead of plain bookshelves made browsing extremely easy. Furthermore, the prices were what you would expect from a brick and mortar store. Now that I know how nice it is, I will definitely be coming back!In addition to the store, they had a spacious second half for playing games, and their decor was on point!

If youre someone who makes use of the gaming area and therefor is somewhat known to the owner, youll get excellent friendly service. If youre the type who instead only pops in when they need to expand their library... the owner is sometimes a jerk. The selection there is great, the space is great, but the customer service needs some freaking work.

Only place in the valley where youll find actual board games and miniature games being played, in addition to the card games you can play at other places, too. HUGE selection. Its my favourite game store by far. It has everything you want from Warhammer, DnD, to casual board gaming. the staff are very polite and are willing to help you learn anything that you need to.

The store caters to very few of the, lets call them nerd community. And the selection as it is at the store is very poor. The staff is inattentive. The owner had let it become a club mentality but only for certain people. If you dont fit into that club you are Ostracized. Certain individuals there have driven business and players away, lets call him Jerry and is the main cause of the toxic environment and players moving to other gaming shops for more fun and better communities. Really sad thing to see a game shop be like this.

Was in town today from Wythe County and stopped by for the first time. The store is clean, well stocked with the latest miniatures and accessories, board games and gaming supplies. The game room itself is huge, clean, well lit, and well organized. Talked with Travis a little while and he was very friendly and helpful. Wish I could get by there more often. Found Mishap Games on Google when looking for Warhammer dealers. Ive been twice, and the staff was helpful and friendly. The store is well laid out, theyve got a large selection of products, and a large gaming area.My friends and I are just starting the game, but we will continue to visit the store as we learn.

Just moved to the area and was looking for my new flgs home. There was nothing friendly about the clerk at this game store. I used to drop a fair amount of money at my store in georgia, this place makes amazon look personable and friendly so Ill go there for my gaming needs and pay much less. A friendly local game store needs to be personable to be able to charge like they do in this day and age. People pay for the experience more than the product.

If I spend money on a game and a staff member stated that they will GM an event because I don’t know how to GM but want to play it, then I expect that to have taken place. I will never again step foot inside this store ever again for that.

Used to go here on sundays with a group of magic players just to play each other. we never caused a problem, never recieved any complaints, and always bought from the store while there. so i was a confused when we went one day i have to assume was the manager say we dont serve magic players. EVEN THOUGH they still had banners from magic sets still hanging around the store
