I was so excited to live here, promises, promises… yes Seniors live here and it is so difficult to get a answer for most things .. some very simple some I’ve paid for myself that I was led to believe would be taken care of .. that I thought this beautiful place would help me with. If the pole is not replaced on my car port as promised before I moved in .. it may collapse by the winter snow .. than what ? Once again Seniors taken advantage of.

This is the best place to live. A senior could never ask for a better place, youre taken care of and secure. I couldnt have asked for a better place. Logan, Athena, Amanda and Oscar are absolutely wonderful and helpful!

One of the most beautiful communities I have been too!! The walking path around the pond is so peaceful and calming!! I would recommend this community to anyone 55+ looking to live their best life. Friendly neighbors all around! Lots of New Homes too!

Just a review on the new management. What’s up keeping the office locked? My husband went to pay the rent and could hear voices inside but no one answered. Than my husband was pulling out and saw someone peeking around the corner outside in the back. ??? The hours for the clubhouse sucks too for card players. That’s if it is even open yet. Just saying…why is the manager avoiding communicating with the residents?

Standing water after rains is an issue here. And dont fart outside, the neighbors will tell each other what you ate for dinner! Im not kidding! Three neighbors knew I was visiting and where from. Two weeks and the whole park knew, and when I was leaving and why I was here!

You will never find another manager that cares more about their residents. Beautiful community!

I dont think that people who do not reside here should be reviewing this community.A drive thru or knowing someone who lives here does not describe the useless employees. Squeezing in homes all the same color raising the rent every year ignoring huge holes in the street. No sidewalks, careless drivers. Charged for large item pick up from trash company ........on and on. Lookelsewhere or buy a home while interest rates are still low.

I visited because a friend moved in. I had previously desired to move in. I am very glad I didnt do it. The park is dated and the grass? What grass? They would do well to just re sod the entire park. Its horrible!!!

Ive been here 14 years and highly recommend it. I feel safe and secure here and am very pleased with the management under Kelly. This is key to keeping any community well kept and updated. Also it has that old neighborhood feel. Get involved or be content in the privacy of your home. Golf carts, bicycles, mobile chairs or scooters, dog walkers. Theyre all here.

Staff has been great to work with...Elena is very knowledgeable and helpful. Really appreciate the maintenance crew (Oscar) for fixing an after hours issue. Affordable and peaceful living.

WOW is all I can say! Avon on the lake is incredible! Very serene and everyone is very friendly. Kelly the park manager and Collette her assistant is by far hands down the best! Questions/concerns are immediately addressed by both of them!!! We are thrilled with our choice to move to Avon on the lake! We are never moving again we are here to stay!!!!

Safe and caring management and staff.There can be some non-senior residents who live with their family, however, the Oakland County Police patrol frequently to clear out and protect every occupant! Thanks to the management, staff and groundskeepers, it is a SAFE and beautiful community.

The roads are a hazard and the walking trails are dangerous to walk on. My vehicle suffered a blowout and wheel damage. Be warned if you make any complaints you may be evicted. Worst decision ever made to buy hereSTAY AWAY. They are ripping off tenants with water and sewer not included in lot rent. A class action suit should be started for elder abuse and residents with disabilities.

Nice place. We wanted to live there and gave our deposit but two weeks before moving in, they said it would not be ready for more than a month. This happens but with two weeks notice, we had no where to live. We submitted a letter to the manager, as asked, to be given to corporate to get our deposit. Our story has been a nightmare but apparently all mobile parks sell/rent early before knowing particulars.We have emailed corporate and talked to the new manager on several occasions and they just make excuses. We gave them a cashiers check on June 1 and it is now August 23rd and no money. I guess the next step is a lawyer.

Not impressed so far with your corporate takeover! My Parents are being ignored and neglected with a huge safety hazard. My Father is disabled and cant access the shed due to it being placed on blocks he will fall. Their yard is uneven and full of rocks and cement. The manager needs to be fired! She pretty muched laughed at him! Seriously this is supposed to be a senior community. I would expect them to want to make sure their residents / tenants were taken care of! Im astounded! Shame on you!

We have visited several times and found a home that we really like and filled out paperwork to get it. Our thoughts were to lease for at least one year and decide if we wanted to continue to lease or purchase the home. We were told $999.00 a month, and we were very happy with that, filled out the applications and were approved. When we went in to lease, we questioned the price because it had gone up by $100. A mistake had been made and the integrity of the employees at Avon on the Lake, they contacted us as soon as all approving managers had gotten together and working on new documents for us to sign with the quoted price. Meeting the people in the office, as well as hearing from others that live there, they do the best that they can to have integrity with everything they do. I know they are human as well, and impossible to be perfect, but they have shown not only to me, but everyone I know that they are as integral as possible! Thank you!

They are moving new homes in and it is looking pretty good,seems like it would be a quiet place to live

When my wife and I moved in here, we had looked at several other parks in the area and decided this was the nicest one by a large margin. There was some problems when we first moved in with the front office being overwhelmed with so many new homes being brought in. Since then the entire office staff seems to have been turned over and the present staff is much better.The community is quiet and friendly. It has a good safe feeling to it. If you are going to live in a mobile home park, I have a hard time believing you will find a better one within many miles.The only problem I have had here in just over half a year now is they hired a tree trimmer who I feel went overboard. We had a beautiful sitting area and the tree in the yard gave us nice privacy and he trimmed the branches down to the trunk for nearly twelve feet up. Completely destroyed the private feeling to the area. Recently they cut down some of the big old beautiful trees around the little lake. I was so upset to see that as I felt it made the little man made lake that was so pretty look like a simple man made pond. Being a nature person, I was extremely upset. I have heard the trees were diseased and I guess it had to be done. I still hate it. But as much as I hate it, I cannot blame the management for doing what has to be done to take care of the property. It was just a very unfortunate event that hit me hard right after the unfortunate trimming that had upset me.So my only problem looks to be nothing more than an unfortunate event that is not truly at the fault of the management. If it wasnt for that, I would give them 5 stars. It really is a nice park to live and I have a hard time believing you would regret moving here.

Avon on the Lake is a very nice comm unity. My husband I have lived here a little over three years and are glad to have moved in. We came from the Flint area and are very pleased with both the area and the community

I have lived in Avon on the Lake since 1998, if you enjoy a quiet friendly adult community, you will love it here. Fun activities for everyone.

Not the quiet place people seem to think it is. Depends greatly on where you live. Noise level, including loud so-called music, has increased in the last couple of years.Things have improved greatly so far under Yes Communities, park is cleaner and quieter but the managent still needs to take action against residents posting political flags/ slogans which used to be against the rules.

My dear friends have lived here for many years. Every time we visit the place always is well maintained.

There is a lot of turn over in the office so hard to know the staff, but the company is working at major improvements in the community since they have owned it. Some of the new renters say they are confused about some of the rules, which is kind of common when moving to a new environment. Not very handicap friendly the past 3 years, but do see some improvements. Think it will take another year for the new company to turn the place around, but the improvements have made the community sparkle.

Christmas car club party. Every year we have it here this year was a little disappointed usually we make the food on the stove in the kitchen this year we got here and the stove wasnt even hooked up and it was brand new. I think that they should have notified is of this before taking are money for the renting of the clubhouse I think they owe us 50$ back at least. I will be going to the main office and chatting with them.
