What a great experience. I came in as a total stranger to the Subaru brand. These people took the time to educate me and find me the right vehicle that fit my tall body size as well as my small families needs. After learning about all the standard features and amazing performance of the outback’s we decided to trade our Chevy Equinox for an Outback. Needless to say it was the best decision we have ever made we now have all wheel drive and it gets way over 30mpg with all wheel drive. What a great vehicle. I have owned American made my whole life and I was pleased to find out that these vehicles are all made in the USA. I get support the Americans that make these awesome vehicles. We were so pleased with this vehicle we traded our Ford Fusion and bought a new 2022 Ascent. What a great dealership what great service. All of the people have been super awesome to work with. There was no sales pressure and we were able to buy at our own pace which is commendable. I will no doubt drive Subaru the rest of my life and I was a Big 3 loyalist. Thank you everyone Especially Dylan, even after the sale he answers my questions when I shoot him a text. This is the second Subaru that I have purchased here. Both experiences were amazing, but the second time around was above and beyond! Vincente help me every step of the way from choosing my vehicle, to test driving as many as I wanted until I decided. Even though a lot of the vehicles have the same functionalities and features, he took the time to open the doors for me, show me all the features with every single vehicle. Lastly all the paperwork and process of purchasing the vehicle couldn’t have any smoother. A lot of the times you’re waiting And signing paperwork but for someone to be personable with you throughout the whole process made in an extraordinary experience. My boyfriend and I were really wanting a Subaru and the first car we saw and test drove we fell in love it and our salesman Vinny and finance guy Jake made the process to buying so easy and worked extra hard so we were able to get it and make it affordable for us. Staff is very polite and helpful but the best part of my experience is the fact that my car isnt a lemon! They only sell good running cars and they make sure they are all fixed up before you take it home. I have had my car for about 5 months now and have no problems out of it. I will definitely nshop there again in the future!

I had an amazing experience purchasing my 2022 Impreza from this dealership. They gave me a more than exceptional deal on my trade in. Unlike most dealerships they don’t push you into buying a certain vehicle, they completely let you be the one in charge. Dylan was my salesman, I just want to say he did an amazing job. He’s great with the business aspect. Not only that, he also builds that personal connection with the customer, I felt more like I was talking to a friend with great experience & input as a posed to speaking with a pitchy sales rep like some of the other local dealerships. I’d also like to compliment Damian for being friendly and a very reasonable guy when it came to my trade in value. They also have a great selection of certified used vehicles. I’d recommend anyone interested in this dealership to really give it a shot, I couldn’t be happier with my experience through them. Make sure to ask for Dylan, he’s the best of the best no question about it.

Our new car purchasing process originated with an email offer to trade in our existing Subaru for a new one. The offer was intriguing enough that we decided to stop by the showroom to get more information, and ended up with a new Outback. The sales and trade-in process was unrushed, no pressure and enjoyable. Even though our initial discussion began on a Saturday afternoon, they found a car that matched our specifications in the region and we picked it up 2 days later on Monday.

To start off with we took an Audi S3 on a test drive and the fuel was almost empty so we had to fill it up, but we like it and were about to purchase it. They sent it through the wash one last time, but when we went to go drive away we saw huge scratches on the roof and into the rear glass. They said that it would be sent to the body shop and fixed free of charge. When the day came around to picking it up it was not ready so we had to pick the pick up date back. Then when it was ready we where about to drive off again and we saw a crack in the roof. When we questioned about it they said that it had been there the whole which it wasn’t and I’m a car guy so I looked over ever in of that car. We where supposed to get a call from the manager, well over two weeks and still no call. I had a friend contact the and they said that it just had some scratches but they where fixed. On the bright side, Esad the salesman was nice and helpful.

Good service but consistently number of revolving service writers. Specifically asked for a tire rotation and was told they would not be able to perform it because of tire wear. Original tires only lasted 31k miles. Oil change alone cost $ 77. (Labor $41; Parts $29, Shop supplies $4)

Recently purchased a very used 2009 Subaru Outback. Came in to see if I could have a second vehicle for winter because I no longer use my other Outback for winter (because Rochester isnt too friendly with the salt). Upon, coming in Tim immediately noticed me because I come in for service and parts quite frequently. We immediately started the search. They had two used Outback in the generation I sought out for and I test drove one and unfortunately was it was out of my price range so we looked at the second one and even though it needs a small list parts we made a deal! Following up on the agreement, we both agreed to have the vehicle detailed, Tim was clear to me how long it takes to do a detail and I understood. He kept me updated and had good detail via text message. So therefore, I was able to picked it up the following day. I also, asked if he could run it through service which he was happy to do for me! Awesome to say I have a pretty good beater for the price! Happy to finally be back in another Subaru and cant wait to start possibly modify this one!

After an hour they informed me it would be an additional hour and they hadnt started yet. This wasnt the first time this has happened to me here. I would highly recommend Tim Nela (sales) and Jake (from financing) at Rochester Subaru. Tim was patient from start-to-finish in my car shopping process for a 2021 Forester. Their voicemail must route to a black hole, since they dont return any calls.My husband and I spent over 6 hours at the dealership as they told us a used vehicle was ready for viewing when it obviously wasnt. It had a broken serpentine belt, and hadnt been cleaned yet (crumbs and receipts on the floor). Not knowing wed be there all day, and what the next few weeks would yield, we purchased the vehicle paying cash, but were not given the title that day. We were told they would be mailing us the title. My husband called the dealership on 4/6 to verify where they would be mailing the title (to us or the Wisconsin DMV). They stated theyd be mailing the title to us. My husband called them again on 5/3 asking about the title, but had to leave a voicemail (no call returned). He called again on 5/5 (no called returned). I called again on 5/10 (no call returned). I emailed them on 5/12, and received a response the following day, stating that they mailed the title on 5/11 (which wouldve been good to know). I had to email them again on 5/20 as we STILL hadnt received the title. Finally, it was mailed to us with postage saying they mailed it on 5/18. Throughout all of this, I just wouldve like to have open, honest communication from them, but instead was met with no returned calls, and one email reply with inaccurate information.

Bought a new WRX here. Good experience overall. Went to two other dealerships before this one and they both tried to screw me when I reached the financing office. These guys didn’t, and that alone was enough to decide to buy from them. I’ll definitely choose this dealership again when I upgrade to the STI in a few years.Consider yourself lucky if Travis does your financing. Nice guy and got me a good rate. We did not buy our Subaru here but weve had it serviced here for years now. But not exclusively. We have done oil changes elsewhere, a little closer to where we live. The biggest downside for us is the trek so far south. Im no mechanic, so I guess the service has been great and fixed everything needed. The highlight has been some of the people in the service department. Specifically, Terry Moses who recently totally took care of us after a small follow up service was necessary. Great service from a good guy who seems to really understand customer service.

Excellent service. Painless experience. They were clear with us at every step of the process. They made sure we were buying a quality vehicle. They were extremely professional, checking over a new vehicle to the lot that we were interested in before we looked at it. When they found out the car did not pass muster, they let us know immediately. They refused to sell us a lemon and listened to our preferences when discussing other vehicles we would be interested in. The Subaru itself has been great. Everything else about this experience has been an absolute nightmare. I do not typically leave reviews about anything, but this experience has been so unpleasant I feel I have to. We bought our Subaru using their financing. When the title came it only had my spouses name on it, and we come to find out they said they made a mistake on the financing and only put one of our names on it even though we both filled it out in store. So now they needed to resubmit the financing in both of our names and redo the title to get both our names on it. So while we waited for them to apply a fix to this they said the first bill should be coming in late December with the account fixed and it would be due in January. However, we finally received the bill on 12/19 with a payment due date of 12/17... putting us past due on our bill before we even received it due to their error. This was even though they assured us this would not be the case. I would buy a Subaru again, but would strongly advise everyone to go elsewhere to purchase a Subaru. I know I will next time. I cannot emphasize enough on how much of a headache this has been for us.

Everyone here was FANTASTIC. We dropped in during a cross country road trip because a weird thing happened with our tail lights. They immediately jumped in and helped us even though we had never been here before--and sadly probably wont again because, road trip. But John and Aidan were able to quickly assess that the problem was burned out bulbs (both at once! So weird). We were in and out within an hour and are so very VERY grateful for the help. Everyone I spoke to was friendly, and everyone who passed by while we were waiting asked if wed been helped. Ive been to Subaru dealerships from Washington State to Ohio and this was the most friendly and efficient one Ive ever been to.

Purchased a 2014 nissan versa note that I found on carfax. Literally the very next morning I said I was interested I received 2 emails, 1 text, and 2 calls about setting up an appointment that same week to look at the car. They were very up front about the vehicle and made sure everything about the experience was comfortable. I worked with Elliot Wood and he was FANTASTIC.As a 21 year old college girl I didnt feel like anyone was trying to up-sell, or scam me. They respected my budget and I didnt feel like I had to stick up for myself in the world of cars. I felt perfectly fine being there with my mother who also isnt very immersed in automobiles. Our experience was excellent! I had been to another Subaru dealership the week before where I waited 40minutes, sat in two show room cars and was never even spoken to by an employee, so I was impressed right away when I was greeted as I walked in the door in Rochester. Julio was great to work with from the beginning of the process explaining the different options and packages to the Sales Manager who came out as we were negotiating the price of the car I bought and was friendly and fair. I drove several vehicles and purchased a wonderful certified Legacy sedan that has been absolutely perfect (and has gotten better gas milage than I expected!). I drove up in a 2003 Outback that we had purchased new and has 300,000 miles on it, and will probably last for several more years, as well. You can never go wrong with a Subaru, and I will be going back to Rochester to purchase my next one even though there is a dealership 1/2 the distance because they truly gave amazing customer service!

Let me first say, this is the first review that i have ever written. This is by far the best buying experience of a car that we have ever received. With the service that we have received, they have made us customers for life, Its over a 2 hour drive, each way, to get there. They have a very good approach of no BS and no string pulling. I will be telling everyone i know that its worth the drive.

Drove in for express oil change. Wow. That was fast. Didnt even finish one cup of coffee. But it was nice to be off of my feet, sitting in a comfy chair, having a break. ...wonder if next time I could bribe them to take an extra 20 minutes longer 😉

We would highly recommend this dealership! Great customer service by all staff! We worked with Elliott and he was courteous, knowledgeable, friendly, very cautious about safety with covid 19. We bought a new Subaru Forrester! We absolutely love it! We have been Kia owners for over 10 years and have purchased many Kia’s. Was in Rochester for an event and woke up to a flat tire. Took my car in to see if my tire could be patched. Ended up having to put my spare tire on until I could get back home. The service team was very friendly! They hooked me up and got me on my way, effortlessly.

So far I am very unhappy, but they havent had a chance to make it right. I will update my rating and review after tomorrow, 3/5/18. I will see what kind of dealership they really are. My fingers are crossed. Its my first time buying a Subaru and I hope it turns out to be the right decision. Its up to them.Update! They really surprised me with professionalism and honesty. I was expecting some sort of animosity and all I experienced was humility and the desire to make my Subaru Experience a great one. They gained my trust and my business back. We purchased a used 2010 Subaru Impreza from them recently. After having the car for approximately 2 days it developed a very loud clunking noise. It also had a noticeable lean to its left side. They agreed to look at the vehicle free of charge. The salesman that we worked with (Elliot) set up a service appointment for us, and encouraged us to drop of our vehicle earlier than the scheduled appointment so that if they had time in the shop, they could get to it earlier. We dropped of the vehicle Friday 6/5/20, and were provided with a loaner vehicle. The service advisor (Nick) stated that he would give us a call with an update on the vehicle. We waited until Tuesday 6/16/20, before calling because we had NOT heard any status update about the vehicle. Nick seemed rather confused when we called - he didnt seem to remember us, the vehicle, nor could he find the scheduled appointment. He promised to get to the bottom of it and give a call back within the hour. 3 hours later we call back, again confusion...Finally someone tells us that our Subaru is at the Buick GMC dealership because that is where they do all the used car inspections. They however did not have any information on what the status of the vehicle was...we didnt hear anything back for the rest of the day. Wednesday 6/17/20 we waited for a majority of the day, again no feedback. We called in the afternoon where we were again promised an update on the status of the vehicle - to which they never called us back. Finally Thursday we call and talk to a Service Manager - they state that they were unable to find any issues with the vehicle, and tightened down a heat shield underneath. They wanted to make it right by having another technician look at the vehicle so they kept it Thursday saying we could pick it up Friday. Finally Friday 6/12/20 - I receive a call from Nick saying that they have the Subaru, at the Subaru dealership and he really wants to make it up to us by having it thoroughly inspected - I simply stated that I wanted the vehicle back but he insisted so I gave the go ahead. He even stated multiple times on the call the vehicle was in their (Subaru of Rochesters) possession right in front of him so I would get a timely update on the car. A little while later a service technician calls me and states they were unable to replicate the noise and that the vehicle was ready to go as is. Around noon we get to Subaru of Rochester and of course the vehicle is not there... Nick immediately goes back on lunch and we are left working with a different service advisor... After a few moments the sales person (Elliot) pulls up with our Subaru.We traded in a freshly detailed 2020 Jeep Wrangler - which was posted on their website with full pictures less than a day after trading it in, and now we finally have our extremely dirty scratched up 2010 Impreza back after completely wiping down the interior of their loaner vehicle, vacuuming it, and topping it off with gas. *Sigh*Elliot was great, the service manager Kevin was very respectful, and even Nick was trying his best (it seems that he is relatively new and wasnt getting accurate information from the partner dealership, buick GMC of Rochester). Ultimately their failure to communicate as a team led to 1 week of them having our vehicle, no service actually performed on it, getting it back in worse shape than when we gave it to them, and it still clunks...Unfortunately I wish to say this was an isolated incident but if you see my review of Buick GMC of Rochester, where I purchased a different vehicle a couple months ago you can clearly see there is a systemic problem with communication between the different roles within the organization, meaning that I do NOT recommend purchasing, or having service done by this automotive group - especially not at this time.

Went there, was greeted with smiles. Lovely. I came in and asked if it was possible to make a special delivery of a vehicle I wanted, and purchase. It was located at a different dealership in a different state. I hoped that it wouldve been easier if it was possible to have that delivery take place, here.I was told I would be given a call in an hour, but never received one. Any type of call wouldve been great. A simple call of saying whether it is or is not possible, wouldve been ideal.But I never got a call. To be honest, when I walked out the dealership that day, it felt like I wasnt being taken seriously.

Fernando the Service Manager was exceptional! Most of these negative reviews on here are just blown out of proportion temper tantrums. This is one of the better dealerships out there I have visited. Only Area for improvement: figure out the phone situation. It’s hard to get a hold of anyone or have them answer the phone for parts and service unless you go in person. Thanks.

The purchase of our used SUV at the end of November was a fine experience. About 3 weeks later it came to our attention that a clerical error had been made during the closing process. All but one of our calls (the first one) have gone unreturned as well as a follow up email to the owner and general manager. We werent being difficult about the issue. All we asked for was assurance from someone, anyone, that it was being taken care of... Nothing More! To this day there has been no communication. We will never be back due to their lack of interest in us after the sale.

If you want to be talked down to, lied too, and ignored this is the dealership for you. From the Sales manager struting around in his pristine blue suit that would not look me in the eye or talk to me (only talked to my husband eventhough I was the one buying the car). To the Finance Manger that point blank was lying through his teeth trying to maximize the dealerships profit by completely insulting me. My credit rating is in the top 2 % and he went from the initial insulting rate of 5% to 6.3%. Having done my research I already knew the going rate for a used car in Rochester MN was 3.5% at the time (yes friends with several bankers). My husband and I walked out because we werent there to play games. Less than 2 minutes later we are called on our cell phone stating they found a rate of 4% and they would drop the price of the car an additional $200. Hmmm that was convenient. After mulling over if we wanted to give these liars and crooks our money we did go back and at the closing again the Finance manager had to insult me one last time by drawing a picture of how the additional insurance worked. Yep Im not a first time buyer and can understand English, pictures were not necessary. I will never buy from this dealership again by far the worst experience I have ever had buying a car in the last 34 years.
