Went here for the first time the other night. Atmosphere was nice a lively. Waitress was nice and made sure we had everything. I got the cauliflower crust pizza, it was good and flavorful. The beer selection was good as well. Took a star off because they kept squeezing people next to us at the long table in the middle which was a little awkward since there was no space between us but everything else was good.
Got better service from 2 other servers than my actual server/ bartender.. she had 3 tables besides ours and maybe 5 people at the bar. Maybe too much for her? She had ample times to acknowledge us throughout the entire experience, but failed to do so. 45 min pizza, which I had to ask about from a different server. But it was good when it came out.
The beer selection is good and the space is really cool. The seating is not obvious, I ended up waiting around the space for 10 min before I finally flagged someone down to find out how to get a table outside. It was around 1 and they were out of dough for the brunch pizzas so there were only two options, so I got the breakfast hash. I dont usually complain publicly about food, but the scramble had little to no flavor, was a small portion, and every bit of potato and bacon was undercooked or burned black. Im guessing they were in a hurry and cooked it hotter and faster, but Id rather have not eaten it at all.
Stopped in for a bite before heading up to a concert at the public market. Had a great time.Cool atmosphereFriendly, attentive staffGreat beer and cider selection- they serve flights of four, so you can sample a few things.Tried several pizzas - they all were great, especially the carnivoreParmesan cheese crisps were excellent, and were a perfect complement to our beer.My experience was definitely worthy of 5 stars!
Excellent brew selection and hometown atmosphere. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful when youre trying to select a beer that youre unfamiliar with. Would definitely recommend to anyone who isnt from Rochester and wants to get a good feel for the city
We stopped here in the middle of a long road trip from Connecticut to Ontario. They had ample parking and green space in the back for our dog to stretch and run around. Inside, the ambience was cozy and service was friendly. The food was a bit bland and the beers were decent. But, it was still a good experience overall. I might stop by again during next years road trip.
What a great little spot and I love the additional outdoor seating. Their Oktoberfest beer is one of the best around town They have a nice solid IPA as well. If youre looking for some great nibbles to go with your beer they have a wood-burning oven that turns out delicious pizzas and other appetizers.
They mainly serve wood fired pizzas. Pizza was great, atmosphere was calm and mellow. Their blue berry ale is fantastic and always a classic. A good simple classic restaurant. Would bring a date there if I could ever get one.
We held a private event here and Nikki was amazing!! She was always in contact with me and she went above and beyond making it an excellent experience! The food was amazing especially my gluten free pizza! Drinks are excellent as always their beer is probably the best in Rochester (for those who drink beer) for gluten free people they also have cider and wines! Also very nice on a nice summer or spring day to sit out front near the fires!
The new Executive Chef has been putting out slammin food! Everything I have tried thats new and old has been absolutely stunning, truly elevated bar food. Great beer, better food, awesome atmosphere! Highly recommend.
The food was delicious! I recommend the hoagie with wurst and sauerkraut. Overall, this is a good eatery with good service, nice ambiance and good prices.I will definitely go back to this place when in Rochester.
Rorhbach is a classic Rochester craft brewery. One of the originals of the scene, and continues to grow with some fun seasonals. my first memory of a Rohrbach beer was when my dad would go and get growler fills when I was growing up.speaking of Papa Schickling, I Hung out with my dad today and tried the chocolate cherry stout at the brewery. Nice flavor, while not being cloyingly sweet . Enjoyable time with friendly staff
Really warm, inviting space for a brewery/pub! Chicken panini was very good. Pizzas, salads and sandwiches food options, but each had some pizazz to it. Tried a flight of beers - of which, my two favorites were seasonal. Black IPA and an Amber ale. Friendly service - Id go back for sure if I lived around here. Board games available upon request... so basically you should hole up here for hours with friends! Cheers!
Food and beers were great. Service was ok until they brought our check without even asking if we wanted another round and when we did they had already closed the tap. Last call wouldve been appreciated....
The food is incredible here and the service is one of a kind. Everything on their menu taste freaking amazing.
We bought one of the combos tonight. Pizza, Caesar salad, and a 4-pack (Blueberry Ale) went perfect with it. This had to be one of the best dinners for the price we’ve had in a long time. My wife and I will be doing this each week or every other. The only downfall was we ran out of food. 😂
Wood fired pizza and burrata board were delicious and the beer was good as usual.
Great beers, food & service. A must visit when in Rochester!!
Great place the staff is great kind and courtious good food nd good beer
So 👍. Loved the pizza and beer
How is their German pizza so good? Seriously, its a combo that probably shouldnt work but is DELICIOUS. I wasnt super impressed with their cheese board (not sure what I was expecting from a beer place, though) but their beer is phenomenal and the rest of the menu has been tasty so far.Try their limited edition holiday beers next December if you can!
Good food (the funky mushroom pizza was delicious), good beers and a nice outdoor setting for these trying times!
We had our rehearsal dinner at Rohrbach Railroad Street Beer Hall on Friday and it was excellent! Nicole was wonderful to work with. We were running late from the ceremony rehearsal and she made us feel as if this was no problem at all! I know some were worried about other patrons coming back into the event space but Nicole was quick to redirect them and kept our party private. Food and beer were delicious and Nicole always made sure everyone had a drink. We would absolutely recommend their services and look forward to hosting another event there in the future!
Attended a wonderful bridal showe in their private room. The ambiance, food, service and drink choices were wonderful. Rohrbach provided a great place to celebrate a special family member!
This is a Rochester true original craft brewery and the quality of their beer keeps getting better. Add a great location to all of that and it’s a win, win, win!
Limited because of Covid, yet very pleasant staff !!
Come for the beer and proximity to the Public Market, stay for a pizza or two. Their beer is legendary throughout Rochester, with great staples as Scotch Ale and Space Kitty DIPA, along with seasonals such as Pineapple Wheat. The menu is limited compared with the one in Gates, but there just isnt enough room there for that kind of menu. I took some out of town guests there last week and they were very impressed with my choice! Always a great time. Parking on the street is limited, but they have a code to the parking lot across the street, or you can park in the Public Markets parking lot a little bit more up the road.
I forgot to take pics of my visit here. We first visited black button and had a tour and went next door for beers and snacks. Super friendly staff made me feel welcome. Decent menu and many beers from Rochester to choose from. I do not get a chance to get to the city of Rochester often. It places like this make it worth the trip. You will not regret a trip for snacks a beers, enjoy.
Great service, great beer, great food. Always highly recommended.
Great Beer, Great food, Excellent service! Oh yeah and incidental music 🎶 is Awesome!!!
I had such a great time. I get a flight board with the beer I love to drink - all dark/stout style. Staff are just wonderful and so friendly. The homemade pizza was amazing. Loved the atmosphere there.
Get the Cajun wings well done. Excellent.
Friendly staff, interesting tour, variety of good beers. Ive had nearly everything currently on tap between a couple different visits and flights and I have yet to find something I dont like. Good pizza too
Great place with tons of seating, occasional live music, all your Rohrbach favorites, and great wood fired pizzas!! Go by yourself to sit at the bar, enjoy a pint and listen to music, or bring the date for a casual night out, sharing a pizza and a salad and laughs over all of their great flavored beers.
The beer is great. If youre just looking for unique, small batch, craft brews then this is a good stop. Until recently they didnt have food but theyve just launched their wood fired pizzas and wow, really good. If you think a wood fired pizza and quality beer sound like a good night out of the house then there is no reason to look further!
Delicious beer! I definitely plan on returning for a food and drinks. It was a very good first experience, the bartenders were so friendly.
Ive stopped here for a few beers after the Public Market and it was great. They have beer flights and pints of course, but also beer cocktails, wine and food. I also love that they have the beers in cans for sale!
Really cool place with great beer.I went here with a small group of friends to go on a brewery tour. Afterwards we grabbed some flights to sample a variety of the beers they make. The beer is awesome and the atmosphere is great. If I was still in Rochester I would go back multiple times.
Great local staple! Theyve been brewing quality beer since way before all of the new hipster brewerys. The Railroad St location is a fun casual atmosphere with a quality menu. Hard to do better.
Pretty cool place
This is a fantastic establishment! A Bonnie built in his place so how could it be wrong?! Great beer. Shuffle board. The whole nine. Def a place to check out
Although i haven’t been to the brewery, i came across Rohrbach Scotch Ale at the Whole Foods bar in Buffalo, NY and had to look up where this place was located. The scotch ale is great and I’ll definitely be taking the trip to visit the brewery soon.
Great beer. Lively atmosphere. Great food. Small place though. Really enjoyed it.
We had our wedding rehearsal dinner in the private room at the Beer Hall. The waitstaff were friendly & helpful and the food was delicious. Everything we ordered was delicious, but we are still dreaming about the Swedish meatballs--they were AMAZING. The room was perfect, you couldnt hear any noise from the bar, and they had a projection screen that my father-in-law used for a slide show. I would certainly recommend Rorbachs catering for any event.
Went for the release of the new Munich Dunkel, which was great! My wife and I split a salad and pizza which were both very good too. A very enjoyable experience.
They just started serving food and Im glad that they did. The pizzas were good and the pb mustard got rave reviews among our group. It sounds weird but try it. And the beer was quite good.
This is my favorite local brewery. Im a fan of dark beers and their vanilla porter is out of this world! They also recently renovated the interior and it looks spectacular! Very unique location in rochester.
Sicilian calamari was a tiny bowl of disappointment, overdone & less than fresh. Buffalo chicken wing perogies were tasty. Fish fry and onion rings were good. They dont take reservations on Fridays but tell you to call 1 hr ahead. Called an hour ahead and was told wed be seated in an hr and half; still waited over two hours to be seated.
Outdoor seating was excellent, service to your table was great
Great beers, decent food, decent atmosphere. Prices are middle of the road. Overall good experience... worth going back.
I have been here multiple times and have never had a bad time. Emily and Courtney are great and the beer is always tasty.
Good beers and nice atmosphere. Good merch too...
Good food and good beer and place is a pretty cool hangout. Highly recommend trying a black and blue, half vanilla porter and half blueberry ale.
Great food, great drinks, great atmosphere! Fun games, live music, great location? Whats not to love!? Dont forget paint night and yoga on weekends...
Awesome staff and music! So many great beers and foods to choose from
Great beer. They recently changed the layout of their tasting room on Railroad St. Its now even better for going and hanging out for a beer tasting or throwing a big party.
Great beer and food in a very cool space.
Great time here! Good wood fired pizza, and the craft beers are excellent !
Great food!! Love the wood fire pizza and local kombucha & beer
Service was a little slpw, but it was busy. Food was tasty and beer amazing! Especially the Space Kitty...a must try location. Loved the local, and railroad connection.
First time at the city location for a behind the scene tour. Nice facility with delicious pizza, and ofcourse great beer
Stopped in after a trip to the public market. Tried the Griddle Cakes blueberry maple wheat ale. Good atmosphere, friendly staff, and amazing craft beer.
Food was really great. Service was top notch. Friendly fun place.
Awesome place, nice party room, delicious beers. Owners a St. Bonaventure grad and that always makes for a good time!
Nice atmosphere. Very good servers. Good food options.
The new bar inside is incredible and huge. They now have all of their draft options available at all times.
Delicious beer, great food! I love that there are board games to play.
We ordered the prerzels with choice of 2 sauces. There were only 4 pretzel nubs about 2-1/2 inches long... For $7, youd think youd get a pretzel. We had so much of both saices leftover. What a waste. Not happy about the portion size.
Great pizza n wings, good HH special, I reccomend the Big Poppa pizza with a Highland Cheddar soup dor crust dipping!! so good!
The staff is very friendly and are able to answer any question regarding the food or drink.
This place is a must if you like good beer and good service. I like darker beers and my husband likes IPAs - we both found what we were looking for at this brewery.
Great food and drink. Excellent service
Great beer with and wonderful selection of wood fired pizza.
Unique beers, good service, nice atmosphere and decently priced
Great beer. Great pizza.
Great dark beer fantastic eats 🍻
Brews are superb, service wasnt that great; more specifically, the waitress. I wouldnt bother with a waitress here, just let folks order from the bar
Ayers Bros. Band. Everytime. Timeless.
Craft beer and food, great lunch for Saturday.
The oldest and best overall craft brewery in Rochester
Great placee for local craft beer and food
Very good brunch pizza, and the beer is always good!
Waitresses were great, good time...
Awesome
Always so much fun!
Perfect
Great service, wings, cider and atmosphere!
Inadequately staffed to support regular business in addition to the tour buses in house. Service disproportionate to the quality of the beer.
Good band great cider
Great Pizza, and equally great Beer.
