I called today and asked if they had time for a walk in. I cannot express how thrilled I am with this piece in honor of my deceased grandfather. Luke was very friendly, and great company while working on my tattoo. I felt very comfortable and Im very happy with my result!

One of the most common tattoos in Rochester is the Flower City logo. I paid for the tattoo, then returned when it came out splotchy. After being told it would be fixed up, it was tattooed over and was charged full price for going over it. Even worse, its still splotchy and none of the lines are straight. I will never go back to Living Color again.

No lie...called at least 6 or 7 shops for wedding ring tattoo..just something quick to surprise my wife due to my severe osteoarthritis in mu hands, which doesnt allow a real ring anymore. Very bright, welcoming, happy staff greeted me promptly and within minutes we were fired up for freehand, pure skills t b at ny man Zach does. Looking forward to the next appointment!

This was my first time getting a tattoo and I wasn’t sure what to expect. Gabe really guided me through every step and never made me feel rushed at all. This was the best first-tattoo experience I could’ve asked for and if you’re looking for getting your first one, I highly recommend him. It was a very friendly and laid-back environment, I’ll definitely be going back

I am very pleased with the tattoo that I got with my cousin. Kory was professional and quick with the tattooing. Only reason Im giving 4 out of 5, is because even though we had an appointment we still had to wait an hour to get started

Ok I got my tattoo about 3 years ago. When I first got it dont I was hoping it would be ok when it healed. It wasnt the artist scared me in 3 places. I got a hatchet man and I wanted an outer glow (the glow that is dark near the object and fades out ALL the way around the object in the same shape of the object kind of like a shadow but all the way around) instead he put a center glow on it with white around it to supposedly make it pop. It was $200 I was told by someone who did a more detailed tattoo that took longer I should have only paid 120 for it max especially the poor quality it was. I may not be able to get it fixed or covered. And coming from a family that has alot of tattoos Im ashamed of this single tattoo on my body. If I could add pictures I would but my phone wont let me

My friend and I just went in this past weekend to get tattoos with Luke. He is awesome!! Very down to Earth and friendly. He listened to what we were looking for and nailed it!! The shop is very warm and inviting. I will definitely be back for more work with Luke!

First the establishment is clean, people are super friendly and the prices are very reasonable. I got a Fu@$ Cancer tattoo by Luke and all I can say is his talent and attention to detail far exceeded my expectations. Best tattoo shop in town! I have an amazing experience every time I come here. That staff are absolutely amazing and welcoming. The owner Khary has even ran down the street to get me a drink while I was being tattooed. I also have received multiple tattoos by Luke and his work is phenomenal, I highly recommend this artist.

The employees here are so kind and wonderful to be around. They answered all of my questions (I had many because it was my first tattoo) and made my friend and I feel comfortable. Gabe did a great job, he made sure we loved the designs we picked and adjusted it as necessary. I would definitely recommend coming here!

I’ve gotten 4 of my tattoos at Living Color. Each time, I’ve brought a different friend with me because they’ve seen how amazing my tattoos have turned out, and want work done there also! Staff is always friendly and fun to talk to. They make you feel comfortable, and definitely take your ideas and opinions into consideration to create the best version of your tattoo idea. I have mostly realistic tattoos, and Khary has exceeded my expectations! I get compliments on them all the time. I’d highly recommend this place!

It was a great experience! Living color has a wonderful atmosphere and I had a good experience with the staff, they were extremely kind. Keith was my artist and he did a lovely job. (I had line work done). It was also a very good price.

I got a pretty large sternum tattoo by gabe (@koolkat.tats), he did an amazing job to create an original design that we both loved, and made sure i was comfortable throughout the whole process. The shop was super clean and all of the artists were professional and interacted with me to make sure I was having a good experience. Price was very fair for the piece that I got! Also walked in last week and got a small tattoo by Keith and had just as great of an experience both times at Living Color!

I got a septum piercing and it looks great, its just the guy asked if I was anemic after he put the needle through and I started bleeding, along with telling me not to clean the piercing because it self regulates. He also told me to not flip it up under any circumstances which I can see so that doesnt really factor into how I feel about the company

After having gone to multiple tattoo shops, I finally came across Living Color. The staff there is great, they make the whole process easy and enjoyable. I’ve gotten tattoos big and small, elaborate and simple, color and black/white, and they’ve nailed it every time. They’re priced well, and they even have special events and discounts on their social media accounts every now and then.They’re as professional and talented as can be, I’ve even brought my girlfriend there to get her first tattoo and they treated her as if she’d been a friend for years. I’ve personally gotten work done by Luke and Khary, both of which I would recommend to my own family. If you’re thinking about getting any work done, I can’t recommend Living Color enough.

Just take some design from internet and ink it on your body. Its more of the love and passion to what they do. Rather then just another tattoo business.

It looked really pretty on paper and once he finished it looks completely different and the letters are misshapen. It was a quote and the letters are different sizes and shapes. Now I have to save money to get it covered up.

I had a great experience getting my piercings. I booked an appt, had to call same day to cancel and reschedule, they did it no problem. The shop is clean and all the materials were sterile. Everyone was friendly and professional. All my questions were answered and I feel happy with my new piercings! Great shop that I highly recommend for piercings!

Erica does not know how to tattoo at all. I went to her because she got some pretty good reviews and I liked her work. All I wanted was 3 small triangles... none of them are proportionate and the lines arent even straight. Now I have to spend more money somewhere else to have it fixed.

I got my first tattoo here and have been going back ever since. The artists are all so friendly in a very calm way that allows you to relax while you are having your work done- Ive had two different artists here, and both talked me all the way through the tattoo so I didnt have to focus on the pain. I even took a friend of mine here for their first tattoo, and fully intend to take at least one other friend here when she is ready for her first.The art itself was great quality, too, and I received more than adequate instructions on caring for it afterward.I will definitely be giving Living Color my business for as long as I live in the area.

This maybe a good tattoo shop but the attitude they show is just nasty ..me and my wife went in today to schedule a appointment with our 3 year old soon as we walked in the door the girl behind the counter says no kids okay cool but at least give us a chance to say what it is were doing ..then on top of that after my wife says we was just here to make a appointment she says we didnt want her touching anything witch really pissed us both off being hes a boy ..but overall we are both grown people no need to argue with people who clearly isnt interested in our monies..so we will do just that take our Monies elsewhere ..like with anything your attitude will be the downfall not just them anyone whos running a business

Came in today and got my first tattoo done by Luke !! He was amazing really funny and down to earth and the details on my tattoo were phenomenal! The overall vibe was amazing the place was very clean and all the people were friendly inside !!! I will get my future tattoos from here !!!

Cant tell you how goooood Gabe is. After searching around for months to find the right tattoo artist to have the right skills for the ink i wanted, Gabe hit it out of the park.

Called to ask if they did walk-in piercings. The girl on the phone told me yes, and that I can come anytime during hours the next day. I came in well before closing and they told me the piercer left already. They told me I should have made an appointment... Which I told the girl I couldnt do because I didnt know when I would be getting out of work. I normally wouldnt mind but I drove all the way there because I was told it was okay. I made an appointment elsewhere.

I got my septum done by a female i forget her name, about alittle over a year ago and she messed it up the first time putting the needle in and had to do it a second time but she was very apologetic and sweet about it but my second experience there was just horrible, i went to get my eyebrow done and the lady who usually does piercings wasnt there so a man did it instead, the ENTIRE TIME he was piercing my eyebrow he was making little to no eye contact and wasnt even talking to me while doing it he pierced it in a really awkward place and theres very little skin between the piercing this was three or four months ago and ive had people ask me if i did it by myself, mad disappointed probably not going back

Theyre professional and have a clean studio and follow good procedure, i got a naval piercing done, but was disappointed to find out it was crooked. I messed with it, caused migration which straightened it but that didnt change the fact that initially it was pierced crooked.

Amber did my triple helix and did not seem very confident. For good reason apparently. She put in earrings that were too small, causing my skin to grow over them, resulting in me pushing the earrings back through and a whole lot of pain. She did not seem like she knew what she was doing any of the 3 times I went in. Its been 2 months since I got them done, and despite doing everything she told me to take care of them, they are still sore and bleeding. Do not go here for piercings.

Please DO NOT go here. I got three tattoos at once and at first I was impressed with the way they looked but the following days I realized that the ink bled underneath the skin (tattoo blowout) on all three. If I could go back and get them somewhere else I wouldve.

I went here for the $70 free tat day. The artist that did my tattoo was rude told me what I wanted didn’t make sense together, should be up to me. It was to much for the free tat asked for just one piece to be done also said was not right. Ended up with something I didn’t pick and wouldn’t even put it where I wanted it.

I would NOT recommend this shop. I ended up with a large tattoo blowout on my arm that is NOT fixable! My options to cover it are laser treatments or another large tattoo. The owner is rude and arrogant. Big mistake by picking this place for my tattoo!

Terrible work. Didnt heal properly from the artists heavy hand. Artist shouldve said he couldnt do what I wanted, rather than give me a bad tatto. I went to another tattoo artist that same week and got a superior tattoo with the same color and detail I had requested from Living Color, but failed to get.

Only place ill go for my tattoos & dermals. Love Khary! and love the compliments I get on his work hes done. Everyone else there is very greeting. Always clean & comfortable.

Best place to get a tattoo

While the tattoo on my foot is good and I am happy with it, my arm tattoo and shoulder (both decent size pieces are horrible). I have been a long time customer- almost 6 years and I am now looking for a new artist at a new location. Let me start with my arm was created with names and Ive added on as my family grew. The roses I drew up were shaded horribly which is really hard to change. The outline looked good and after the shading was done- my jaw dropped. It looks nothing like the picture and Im very upset. There is too many vines, things are not shaded right, lines are un-even and not symmetrical. Again I have had some good experiences so I went to the manager and owner Khary. He looked at the rose I DREW and worked on it- again after 2 sessions it did not come out good. Dark outlines, no shading but what the guy before had done. It looked even more cartoonish, now I dont even know what to do with this. I went in again for now my 8th session on what is a very simple piece. Names, vines and 2 roses. And he wanted to book atleast 3 more sessions in order to complete this. All I needed was shading done properly and less vines (cover with more roses). He told me he would not be able to add roses over fine lined vines to cover them. He also told me as well as his secretary that I would have work done today on it. I drove 30 mins. to be told ill draw it up and we can schedule 2 more times. I feel like he cares a lot about money- less about customer service. It sucks but I will no longer go there. I will be taking my loyalty to another artist. Id rather spend a bit more money and have it done right, then spend (so far, about $700) on a tattoo that I could of easily had it finished before I hit $400. I guess this is what happens when you deal with someone who is all about MONEY.
