Went to the open house on July 1, wonderful customer service, everyone so knowledgeable about coffee. Purchased dark roast coffee beans, love it every morning. Will be going back to buy more.

Amazing local roasters! Excellent selection of flavored and more typical roasts with large variety and depth. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable and will offer you a free cup of whatever their daily brew is! Highly recommend this for anyone who likes coffee, especially if you like to make your own high quality coffee at home.

Ive never actually been to the location yet. I live a couple hours away but i was online searching for local coffee roasters and i found Union Place online and I had to try them! So I picked out a bag just to give them a try. I ordered a bag of Jamaican Me Crazy and within a few days of placing my order there was a package delivered on my steps. Now I wasnt expecting my coffee to come so quickly so I was pleasantly surprised. The box was bigger than i was anticipating since I only ordered one bag of coffee. I opened the box to find a hand written note inside thanking me for my order and to say they gave me a free bag of coffee. They included a second pound of coffee for free! Ive gotten samples from other places before but never a full bag and the shipping speed was amazing. Im brewing a pot of coffee right now so I cant comment on the taste yet but it sure smells amazing! Thank you! I already know Ill be ordering more and hopefully in the future Ill be able to visit your location in Rochester.

This place is great! Owners and staff are always friendly and attentive. Their coffee is delicious and the only kind we use in our house. We have tried many of their different beans, including flavored, and truly love the Breakfast Blend and the Brazilian Full City Roast. This is a difficult time for everyone, please consider buying local when you need coffee (dont buy it from the big chain stores), support the small businesses if you can and visit Union Place Coffee Roasters!

By far the best chocolate espresso beans Ive ever had! Usually, chocolate espresso beans you can buy in the store have grinded beans in it but this one has a full bold crunchy bean which is really good! We even had to buy another one before going back to the road. Thank you too for the very kind Lori who attended to us.

My son and I have shopped at the store numerous times. We were always greeted with a smile and an offer of coffee. We are always satisfied and will continue to to shop there as well as passing the joys in the store to our friends. I placed an order on line due to the corona restrictions. It arrived in a timely fashion and with a hand written note explaining why one of the coffees I ordered was not received, it was out of stock. Instead 2 additional coffees where sent in its place. How consumer friendly is that. The only thing is I ordered whole bean and got ground. However, that will not stop me from shopping there in the future. Good coffee is hard to find and this establishment is a hidden gem.

My husband and I have been going to Union Place since it opened. We love buying our coffee local and freshly roasted. The flavored coffee beans are our favorite and there is always a variety in stock. A fresh cup of coffee is always offered to go. I recommend them to anyone who loves coffee. Tried the coffee of the day (French roast) for free. It was delicious. We ended up buying the Ethiopian medium roast beans to grind and make pour over coffee at home. Will definitely be returning for more beans.

My husband,and I had the best cup of house brew coffee today. We were happy to find this gem as we were driving along. Lori was a breathe of fresh air as she took the time to explain the roasting process, also the various blends. We are making this our go to spot for our coffee needs. The establishment has a relaxing vibe that was quite welcoming. We look forward to trying the other blends that are offered there as well.

They offer great coffee beans for purchase and a free cup of todays brew. They have a nice variety and great expertise. They roast the coffee fresh right in the store and also can sell you green beans to roast at home. Not an easy place to find but once you do, youll be back.

The only reason this place is getting 3 stars is because they do have good coffee. However the snotty customer service or lack thereof turned me off from ever wanting to go back. I walked in the door and was offered coffee flavored syrup over ice cream. I then proceeded to ask if they offered a cold brew or iced coffee. I was snottily told we are a ROASTER not a cafe . Excuse me for assuming a roaster may have a cold brew available. A simple no, Im sorry we only have hot coffee would have done the trick. No need to insult my intelligence. It is also odd that you insist that youre not a cafe if youre making and offering coffee flavored syrup with ice cream... I am well aware you are a roaster. If I wasnt aware of that I wouldnt have gone out of my way to your hidden spot in the Genesee valley regional market. Try working on your people skills. It might benefit your business.

I have owned a coffee house and have been drinking espresso starting in the 80s. Lets say I know good coffee lol. Now this is GOOD coffee, and the service, AMAZING! I spent about 30 min in a shop about the size of a large living room. Why? Because the variety and selection was out of this world, the staff was friendly, helpful, educating and truly cared about you. I was amazed to see the roster right in the shop out in the open and up & running. I watched as a new customer came in and was greeted, asked about needs, educated on choices, offered samples & helped to make selections. It was done so well I just had to watch. My wife was asking about a variety and was offered a cup to sample. The owner made up a lot just so we could try it out! I also watched coffee go from the roster right in to the bins for sale. You can not get fresher than that! I only wish I lived in Rockester now but was happy to see they will ship also :-)

This place is the real deal. A roastery. In come green coffee beans from all over the world, and out comes coffee: blended, roasted, packaged (possibly ground), and maybe even brewed.

Great little coffee shop in a redesigned warehouse where they roast their beans and grind them fresh. They are a true gem surrounded by Starbucks, Tim Hortons, and Dunkin Doughnuts. They only make coffee in a drip brewer (so no lattes unfortunately) but a great cup of coffee only costs a dollar and conversation.

Owner was amazing, friendly, and told me about their local events. I was impressed with the selection as well!
