I first visited in 2018 and I can for sure say that these folks are committed to excellence. It’s a coffee shop that serves the community. The coffee is great! They even partnered with a local Black Owned Coffee Roaster “Bold & Gritty”. They have good food options and in my humble opinion they’ve got the best vegan breakfast sandwich in Rochester, NY! They also have a wide variety of coffee beans as well as good selection of Kombucha.

This is a hidden gem! Perfect shop to hang with friends or get some work done. Their Guatemala blend is absolutely delicious and so easy to drink black. Lots of tea and beverage options for kids and anyone not crazy about coffee too. Great, stylish, bright layout, clean restroom, awesome food with plenty of tasteful vegetarian and vegan options provided by the Red Fern, another Rochester gem. I dont think you can ask for more!

Such an amazing spot, I love coming here! Everyone is so nice and their products are superb. Not only is this helping to revitalize the neighborhood but it always brightens up my day to come in. And they allow me to bring my pups in which makes it that much easier to stop and grab coffee when Im running errands with them!

Great people always willing to explain menu options and give suggestions. Marigold latte is filled with spice sweet and the right amount of caffeine. You will enjoy this spot!

Back home visiting and was looking for a good cup of coffee. I definitely found it in the community-focused, vegan-friendly atmosphere of New City. Best breakfast sandwich I’ve had in a while, great coffee!

Was out and about and wanted coffee and some food. Found this on maps and decided to try it out. Got the sweet cream cold brew and bagel breakfast sandwich, my son had a donut and Raelles smoothie. Everything was delicious, I cant wait to try the other options. Staff was extremely nice and helpful.

Wow. Food was delicious. Quality ingredients. The Denver (bacon, egg, cheese on English muffin) was fresh cooked bacon and egg, and the English muffin couldve been home baked it was so good. Good drinks menu, enjoyed the chai guy chai tea.

This is my favorite coffee shop by far. The drinks here are great and the food items are delicious. Its a great way to start the day.

One of my favorite places to be, the atmosphere is always great and the coffee always taste amazing. And the service staff here are pretty great as well.

Lovely, helpful folks behind the counter and some high quality drip brew for just a buck! The doughnut I had along with my coffee was fresh and just what I needed for a little mid day pick me up. They also do a frequent visitor punch card for a free coffee. I will definitely be heading back to New City Cafe real soon!

Always love this place. Its hidden away, but very worth it. I always want to tell people about it, but also want to keep a Geneva secret. Seating is limited and the place is small but thats what makes it so special. If you do get in, they make food quick and very well. They are all about quality not quantity and I love that

Great little hidden gem in the city. Perfect for a quiet friendly place to study or reading. Great little first date location as the atmosphere is inviting and safe. Staff is so friendly, you leave with s feeling of a new friendship. Drinks are amazingly good too, cant go wrong.

Wow! The espresso was amazing as was the food. The prices are unbelievable; we had two drinks and two waffles for the cost of two drinks at Starbucks. This is my new go-to place!

We drove all the way from Flint, Michigan to visit New City Cafe (Paul and team)! What an incredible bunch with a deep love for their city. Encouraged and inspired by how they serve their community so well! If I lived closer, I’d visit every week!

This place may not have a wide selection of food but it is amazing and the ppl there are really nice!

Though the concept pf the coffee shop is *cute* at best, i feel as if whoever started that business focussed on keeping the business “local”..... but the coffee beans are brought from New Jersey.Not knocking how the rosters (i think they’re called restore) do their business, there are coffee roasters in the city who have the same model.

This spot is more of a community space than a cafe. I found people of all ages coming through during my most recent visit - from youth group meetings, to friends grabbing coffee, and folks getting work done.Fridays are chai Fridays, and when the barista mentioned it, I had to go for it. My 16oz. chai was $3, which uses local blend from The Chai Guy. I opted for almond milk and it hit the spot. They also have soy and oat milk if thats your style (plus all the regular milks too).
