If you are an OCD comic guy ...probably not the shop for you. 5% of entire inventory has bags...《1% with boards. In racks where they are bent over.That being said I did find a variant I was looking for after asking .

I had a wonderful experience today shopping for a birthday gift at Comics Etc. The whole staff was very friendly and helpful. They helped me to find the book I was looking for right away and then gift-wrapped it for me at no extra charge. Support this local gem!

Small place with a nice varied selection. Kinda homey feel like it used to be a club meetup spot which I enjoy. Better than the vibe of shop owners hovering over your shoulder to see if you are going to buy a book and then shoo you along if you are just browsing ( has happened before ). The staff are also super chill and are easy to talk to whether its a question on comics or on local tips.

I love this comic store. There is just not enough time in a day to look at everything. Its great! I was looking for He-man MOTU comics, they had several. They have tons of old trading cards, they have discount comics, new comics, and everything in between.

Not bad honestly. First time there. A lot of stuff. As a new person into comics, felt a little overwhelming but a very nice place. Definitely will come back again

Visited this location in late June while in town with my husband. I loved the whole experience! The store is very large and packed wall to wall with all things GEEK. Comics old and current, action figures new and old as well. I picked up several at a great price! They allow you to freely roam around to the back as well where there is more to see and buy! Since I live in Orlando, Fl I asked cashier if the do Ship from Store since this is the 21st century and he was not sure. I plan on contacting them again to purchase more figures hopefully they can mail them to me. 5 stars!

I used to buy my comic books online, until I found this Hidden Gem of Rochester. Dont forget to check out the back room where they have hundreds of comics at discounted prices. What an amazing selection. The staff that works there is very knowledgeable, and they make great recommendations based off of your likes. Unlike other places they dont make you feel stupid for asking questions and take the time to explain in detail their answers.

Always fun and very friendly, they are the last of a dying breed and I hope we can help them stick around!!! I literally use them strictly for Marvel / black series for custom pieces and they have an amazing selection of stuff

Comics Etc in Rochester, NY has a wide selection and always has a comfortable atmosphere. Today we went in to grab a comic that was just recently printed and expected that it possibly be sold out. Went up to person working there to ask, just in case. He said they were sold out, but gave us the last copy that he was planning on buying himself!!!! Awesome!

Comics Etc. orders many issues every week so if you cant find a single issue of a recent publication then consult their inventory. They also have a pretty extensive TPB collection that hits all the touchstones and many recent books.

Finally, I found a clean, organized, friendly spot to purchase sport cards and supplies. They have a nice selection of sports cards, comics, action figures as well as a number of supplies needed to store your collections. They always try to hook you up with what alt covers you want, their social media is active and responsive to your questions and orders, theyve got buttloads of back issues, and I love digging through the 3/1$ bin at the end of each month and finding sweet sweet treasures.

The location is a tad hard to find. It is located deep in the Village gate shops which has a design similar to a college student center. The store is filled to the brim with comics, offering the weekly releases and lots of back issues and trade paperbacks. Particular to this store is an ethereal quality as a place positioned outside of space and time. Once you step in, time and the outside world lose meaning and you find yourself before artifacts of eons past that have waited endlessly for someone to find them.

Im not a comics guy, but I came here to buy some manga for a friend who enjoys such things. Though the main business of Comics Etc isnt manga, they do have some. The employees helped me find just what I wanted with no delay, thanks guys!

I love a comic book store. We make a trip all the way from Buffalo to Rochester to go to different stores for a change. I like Comics Etc but i cant stand the fact that the comics are so bent inside the racks.Im not super picky about condition most of the time but really there are a lot of books bent forwards in the racks and have cracked spines.I dont mind when a store is a mess. I like to dig through piles to find a gem. What I hate is finding that one Spider-Man comic I need and it looks like it was folded in half. Disappointing.

Hey if you love comics good place to visit. Andy the owner is a really cool guy he will talk your ear off about sports and anything comic movie related. Nice staff helpful. The have free comic day once a year its BIG there get there early there will be a line out the door because they bring in local comic artist and book makers around town . And yes free comics !! . Hes got back stock .ask and they will see if they have it . If they dont have it ask and they will look for you .i called and and asked him to save me something special for my self and he got it . Really went out of his way for his costumer . He loves kids but remember that kids at a certain age ready to be collectors are readers because this is a serious collectors store . But I do bring my little girl in but shes careful . I stop in every once in a wile because I live 45 mins away . But he remembers me and my little girls name . I have been going there for years now I will keep going there because of how friendly they are . Just a great place to go . You should definitely check them out if you want to get in to comics or your son or daughter. Or if you are just looking for a comic shop and your new in town or just visiting . Theyve got a great location with plenty of safe parking, a nice big selection of new stuff with a separate room of back issues and 50 cent books, and you can browse around without feeling like your being watched... Awesome prices and some great finds if you have the time to dig.

Probably the best comic book store Ive ever been to. Staff is insanely helpful and knowledgable, especially if youre unsure as to what to buy. I live almost 6 hours from Rochester and Im going to make it a point to buy from here every time Im in town. This place knows how to bring customers back.

One or two staff members are monotonous in tone but the others are friendly and helpful. Not all comics come with protective backs and sleeves. Selection for main stream comics is great while lesser known series might have a few missing issues.
