I brought in my laptop in two weeks ago for a repair and haven’t heard from them since. I have tried to get in contact with them multiple times. Update(4/24): They have reached out to me about my laptop since and said they were having issues with their phone lines since the office flooded twice. Not a bad company, their communication could be a lot better though.

My 15yo son had a problem with his laptop and was in search of a specific part. I drove my son over to the store and we were greeted by Mike. He was clearly having an exceptionally challenging day (the facility had a water leak and the restoration crew was onsite), however, Mike took the time to chat with my son, offered some possible ideas, and they worked on a few solutions together. We very much appreciated Mikes time, patience, and expertise!

Dropped my laptop off early march and they werent able to fix it. Mike wont respond to my calls or my texts and I still dont have my laptop back 5/12. I am yet to get a refund for the parts that I paid for and am out a laptop and charger.

I had several problems arise from my gaming computer when something simple went very downhill quickly, my computer being worth quite a bit of money I was very worried. Thankfully I brought my PC here and not only was everyone extremely nice and helpful but Id like to give a personal thank you to Austen, He kept me updated every step of the way, apologetic for things that were completely out of his control but even if so, he was always giving me daily updates and went above and beyond with taking car of my baby (PC). I cannot recommend Computer Service Specialists of New York enough to anyone, the owner Mike was very nice and kept me up to date but everyone that works there is very nice and helpful and Austen who had worked on mine was just amazing!

Mike gave us the best experience possible! He was so patient and kind and the price was very reasonable. We are very satisfied with the outcome, he knew exactly how to resolve the printer and laptop issue. Was cool at first definitely bought my sister’s computer - low balled me - figured that out after I spoke to a couple people I know about computers / business 😒(thanks) .. he was sort of helpful over the phone when trying to help with computer ... asked him how much it would be to fix MacBook (was honest and told him I didn’t have a ton of money ) but he told me he’d check out my laptop for free & fix it within a day or two if I just put a great review on his pages...so, I did... he then ghosted all my calls/ texts 🤨 pretty jerkish thing to do. that was like .. 3-4 months ago? To this day I haven’t heard from him .. so I’m taking my great review back 👌🏼

I called first thing on a Tuesday morning and got an immediate response from Mike. He came out that same day and helped our dental office to get back up and running as quickly as he could. Mike did an excellent job upgrading my laptop. He installed a new Solid State Hard Drive. I called in the afternoon and dropped it off a few minutes later. He had the laptop ready to go by the evening. Very Fast service and the price was very reasonable. Highly recommended!

Hell ignore all calls(as he screens them) and texts from you after he has your property and cash. He looked me in the eye and told me hed get my laptop back to me in 2 days(promising to return it on 4/18/21) after I told him I was in college and had an exam in 4 days. Hes a literal monster. Then he lied to me about Cashapps servers being down to get me to pay him again on Venmo stealing a total of $200 AFTER taking my laptop.Computer Service Specialists is not a legitimate place to get any computer repaired. Hit up a local Best Buy--theyll actually be of service.He likes to respond to negative posts like this saying, oh, im so sorry for the delay as this is unacceptable--were in contact with the Brighton police to try and retrieve stolen property which again is a lie intended to deflect blame from his company and to attempt to maintain a good reputation.On behalf of my story and all the others hes stolen from, Im currently in the process of taking this fraud to court so do yourself a favor and avoid the stress. Do not do business with this company. I brought a laptop in on 02/22/21 because it was not working. Was told I needed an SSD, and had to pay for it up front, which I did. To date (04/08) I do not have my laptop. I cannot reach anyone at the company by phone and have left numerous voicemails, the times I have gone to their location the door has been locked and no one answers. Essentially, they have stolen my property and charged me $150 dollars for the theft. Id give ZERO stars if I could.

The Best emergency PC repair in Rochester! He is so nice, so patient and very professional. I can’t believe I can get my pc fully repaired and even fully cleaned from inside to outside on Saturday! He will go out of his way to make sure the customer is taken care of and will go over and beyond when necessary. His mother and I are very proud of him and all the success he has had with all of his endeavors!

I contacted CSS about fixing a print head on my home printer. After talking about the problem and what it would cost to fix it I ended up buying a new printer from them instead. Price was very fair and service was great. Austin went out of his way to meet me after official hours so I could purchase the printer. They also took my old printer to dispose of it. Thank you!

I’m twelve years old and Mike and Briannah were a great help! I called because I wanted to build a pc, and they hooked me up with everything I needed. They were extremely helpful and kind. They walked me through the process without giving it all away so I could still learn. When I needed help they made sure to get right back to me. I worked primarily with Mike on a Ransomware issue, and while we were unable to get absolutely all of the data back, he was incredibly supportive, responsive, and offered additional avenues for potential recovery in the future. You could not ask for a kinder, more down to earth group of people capable of doing such great work. ABSOLUTE WORST! Ive been trying to obtain a PCB board that was left out of a portable hard drive for over a year! Cannot get their support or the head of the company to reply to me. The card is there on site and I simply cannot get anyone to call me back. All I want is the card back, via mail or Ive offered SEVERAL times to pick it up. This is the worst company to do business with!

I had a computer scare this week that made me desperately find a computer technician in the city for help. It turned out nothing was wrong with my computer but some dirty in my charging port that was blocking my charger from charging my system. I was charged for things I did not need, 8 GB of RAM and data retrieval. I was really upset because when I got home from the technician in the city he had corrupted my user profile and I could not access my files without signing into a temporary file. It was late and I had assignments to do for this weekend but the computer tech was not available until Sunday which is too late. I found CSS of New York on Google and they responded really fast and I told them what had happened to me and they told me they would not charge me for an after hours fee because of what happened to me. Mike is really nice and helpful. I got my computer back the next day and it is working perfectly again. I will be using their service if need be for the future. I highly recommend them plus they dont overcharge you!

My husband took my mothers laptop to be looked at about why it wouldnt turn on. We were told the computer was fried and they offered to have us purchase a computer through them. It has been 2 weeks with no contact, and no new computer. We received the invoice for the computer we paid up front for, and we see on the invoice that they sold us a refurbished laptop for $400..... not a new computer. We have tried to call, weve left several messages, texted the owner, and still recieve no phone calls back and have not received the computer we purchased. We will be calling the BBB and disputing the charge for the money we spent. I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau about Computer Service Specialists of NY bc after a week and a promise to get my computer back today I still haven’t received it after I dropped it off to get the battery replaced. He has both my computer and the money him up front and I cannot get a straight answer about when I can pick it up. I’ve stopped his office three times and he hasn’t been there. After I started feeling concerned about this I checked the BBB and found other complaints similar to mine from recent months. Mike has been extremely difficult to get in contact with and there is no other way to contact anyone else and no listed business hours. I do not recommend this business to anyone.In response to the comment left by the owner on 11/6 (in response to my review in the paragraph above), I want to be clear that I received my non-repaired laptop and charger nearly two weeks after I dropped it off to have the battery replaced and the only reason I got it back was because I got an attorney involved. The number listed to call him directly was called numerous times during the time I was trying to get my laptop back from him and it went nowhere (no one answered a message wasnt able to be left). Since the Better Business Bureau has other complaints very similar to mine, I know that my experience was not a unique one.

THIS COMPANY STOLE MY GAMING PC! Dont be fooled by all the positive reviews, most are by friends or family, his parents review pretty much tells it all.Michael P Goodman (owner of business) has had my PC for over 2 months now. From a conversation I overheard by him, my PC has been done for 3+ weeks and they never once called to tell me any info about it. He hides behind caller ID and will not answer his work or mobile phone, return voicemails, or texts. Set up plans on 4+ different occasions in person for me to pick up my PC and pay whatever bill there was just to get my pc back. He ghosted me on every single attempt. At this point, Im thinking he either sold off my pc in parts because the market is so hot right now, or using it for his own crypto mining. All I wanted was my gaming PC back that I built myself in March. He and his company has failed at every step of the way. I have heard from both the BBB and law enforcement that here have been multiple issues with him and his company regarding things like this. DONT BE FOOLED BY FAKE REVIEWS LIKE I WAS THAT THIS IS A GOOD PLACE TO REPAIR YOUR COMPUTER. He will say whatever he thinks you want to hear to make you happy and deliver on none of it. Hes worse then a politician. If you doubt any of this is true, feel free to contact me and I will tell you all the lies and deceit this company has to offer you.

I was in the unfortunate position of having both laptops I depend on being down. Briannah worked tirelessly to get my 10 year old laptop that was bogged down up and running in short order so I had something to work with while my newer laptop could be attended to.. And this was no small task It is now working flawlessly. The newer laptop had a charging issue and the problem was troubleshooted and also fixed in a very short time frame. All being told, issues with both laptops were addressed and fixed within a week. From what I see out there, this most definitely would not have been the case had I brought it anywhere else.
