Highly recommend. From the time I stepped into the Family Vision Center to when I was done, the staff was very nice and accommodating. Helped answer any questions I had. It was my first time getting glasses and the entire process was smooth. If you want top notch service and unbeatable prices, this is the place to be.

Warning: lengthy review!Before coming here, I saw the same eye doctor since I first got glasses in 2nd grade (I am 25 now). Although I loved my previous eye doctor, I decided to try a new office because I was treated poorly by the office staff there. I chose Dr. Guy based on the positive reviews on Google and I am so happy I did! The office staff is incredibly kind and helpful. Dr. Guy spent 2 hours with me at my first visit doing a complete glasses and contact exam plus dilation. I really felt like he did an extremely thorough exam and he patiently answered my questions and concerns. I was given two kinds of contacts to sample before choosing which ones I wanted. Then I worked with Valeriy to choose my glasses. I was willing to spend a high amount on these because I never buy full strength glasses due to my high prescription (-8.00 in both eyes). I always had trouble with minimizing facial distortion because my prescription is so awful, but Valeriy helped me choose the best frames and lenses to accommodate this issue (rounder frame and higher index digital lenses). For the first time in years I actually love how I look in glasses! Also, at my last office it used to take weeks for my glasses to come in because of the high prescription. Here, I got my glasses 5 days after picking them out and getting all the measurements done! My entire experience here was positive from start to finish and I am so happy I found them. Dr. Guy is Very knowledgeable as a doctor, friendly and is highly respected by the professionals in the optometric community - I know, Im in the industry. He also does a lot for the community as he organized & managed community outreach and eye screening programs to help kids at Special Olympics👍+++. Had an awesome experience getting a way overdue eye exam. I was hesitant at first to do an eye dilation exam but Dr. Guy and the staff took the time to explain to me the importance of having one done with my exam. My prescription was a perfect match for what I needed. The staff was really friendly and rally pleasant. I also really liked that I was able to fill out most of the necessary forms before my appointment from my phone. Definitely a time saver.

Great service, welcoming atmosphere, and family friendly! Eye exams are a breeze, and I appreciate learning whats important for my vision, things I need to be aware of. I opted-in for text alerts, so I know when I should schedule my next eye exam. I feel comfortable as well knowing that Im not being pushed towards one product or service or another. When I went in for my eye exam I said I was interested in also getting fitted for contacts, and thats what I ended up with. I came in recently to get fitted for glasses, and Im very excited to finally rock a new look! Thanks to Family Vision Center for a positive experience, and I look forward (literally!) to coming back for future visits. I highly recommend!

Absolutely love this place! The office is clean and updated, the staff is informed and friendly, and the doctor is the best! It is a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere and the exam is thorough (and I got out in under an hour)! They have a wide array of frames and lots of lenses on-hand so you can walk out with new lenses the same day! Cannot say enough good things about these people!

I was not a eye glass wearer for most of my 59 years... Over the past few years Ive gotten to a point where I need them. I tried a few other places before finding Family Vision. I just could not get used the glasses. My choices were to either wear something I couldnt get used to, or wear nothing and see nothing... All of the people at FVC were sincere in their efforts to help me find something that would work for me. I now have a pair of glasses I can both see and wear comfortably. I would recommend them to anyone - they were all very friendly and welcoming.

The best place for an eye exam and contact lens fitting in Rochester! The eye doctor is amazing and takes the time to explain everything. The optical has plenty of frames to choose from at different price points, and they take the time to create the best lenses for your glasses based on your specific needs.

Family Vision Center is one of the best eye clinics in Rochester, NY. The receptionist and optician are extremely kind, helpful, and efficient in providing details on eye-wear and payment options. The staff go out of their way to answer any questions you might have as well. Dr. Guy is professional, kind, and receptive to any concerns you may have. The quality of care he provides during the eye examination is precise, considerate, and accommodating. I definitely recommend them.

My first time at this place. Not welcoming my family at all. Workers Never smiled and you can feel tension in their behavior. Is this because my wife is wearing a head scarf? Or because of racism? Also, they dont have a big selection to choose from.We will never ever try this place again.I would give less than one star if possible.

Dr. Guy was great. I felt like he went the extra mile during my eye exam. The staff were also very helpful and the optician took time to show me the different styles of frames and explain the differences between the brands and quality. She helped me figure out what lenses I needed to ease eye strain from working on the computer.

My 10 yo son got ortho-K lenses at Family Vision Center in the summer of 2019. Dr. Guy is very professional and kind - my son introduced Dr. Guy as the nicest doctor ever to his little sister. He has been doing very well with the lenses and taking good care of them, thanks to good teaching and close follow-ups with Dr. Guy.I am very satisfied with the result and service so far. I personally think the cost is reasonable given multiple follow-ups with numerous eye exams, always with Dr. Guy.I also like that the clinic appointment is almost always readily available and very quick.He had been initially referred to the other vision clinic by his ophthalmologist which was the only place the doctor knew prescribing ortho-K lenses . However the earliest appointment was 5 months far with that eye clinic. I looked up every eye clinic website in Rochester and called the clinics which introduces ortho-K lenses on their homepage. I got to know FVC with the 4th or 5th call and made an appointment in 1 week. It is such a huge gap in waiting time almost made me feel dumb and unreal.FVC is probably one of the very few places in Rochester which serves ortho-K lenses now. I strongly recommend here if youre interested in the ortho-K lenses.

This is my second year with them, Dr. Guy is incredible, and takes all the time in examining carefully and giving the patients all the time they need, I know that from my experience and from my partners too.The people there are nice and they have a nice selection of eyewear, and awesome glasses selection with multiple non-glare glasses levels that I have been really happy with. I am very disappointed with my experience here. Their communication is terrible and I keep getting roped into more appointments. I am a full time college student without a car and have to Uber to get there. Although they seem nice, I feel as though theyre very inexperienced. I have been waiting over a month for my new contacts to come in and am very frustrated.

I went here specifically to check out the nicer eyewear brands as mentioned on their website. Chilly reception from the optician; maybe she was displeased that I didnt want to start by filling out a new client form (just to look at frames).After I browsed for a while, I asked about pricing; she initially replied that one brand I liked ...is expensive in a way that was dismissive and demeaning.She also told me that, if they were to order a frame not in stock for me to try, they expected me to buy it when it came in (i.e., commit to buying it before seeing it in person/trying it on).P.S.I dont understand naming your practice Family Vision Center (which implies a budget shop) and then selling high-end frames.

Dr. Guy is exceptionally patient with children. I have brought my children starting at a young age (2 and 4 ). The staff is very professional and aware of their clients. They will go out of their way to make sure that you feel comfortable. Dr. Guys experience working with children is very obvious in the way he differentiates his exams based on each childs needs. As an educator myself, I find that it is hard to find a doctor who is willing to take the time to understand his patients needs when the patient is 2 years of age. However, Dr. Guy takes the time to meet a 2 year olds needs as well as his adult patients. Also, they have a big variety of glasses and sunglasses to choose from. I highly recommend Family Vision Center!

Friendly and efficient service. They have updated technology for eye exams and it teally sped up the process. They have good selection of eyewear. Even though they did not have my preferred style of glasses in stock they helped me find a cost effective alternative by looking online with me. Im referring the rest of my family!

I have worn contacts & glasses since I was a teenager. This year when I went to see Dr. Guy for my yearly exam he recommended orthokeratology, something Ive never heard of before, and told me I should try it. After doing some research I decided to give it a try. A few months into ortho-k my vision during the day has improved much more than I expected and I have near perfect vision now! I cannot thank Dr. Guy enough for recommending orthokeratology! Dr. Guy is the best eye doctor in Rochester NY with the latest technology and the latest vision correction treatments!
