I only picked up a Doordash order yesterday, so I didnt taste their food. But Im rating on the atmosphere and the menu. All of the staff were very friendly and it seems like a wonderful place to dine. I cant wait to go back and try it for myself.
I had my mothers Memorial Celebration picnic today and Dave catered for me!!! I cant thank him enough for the outstanding delicious food he prepared. His beans and greens are a hit as well as his sausage, roasted potatoes and pasta!!! I would highly recommend him for your get togethers. He is so down to earth, makes you feel like family! Thank you again Dave!!!
Ordered 2 eggs scrambled, 2 pieces bacon, and cinnamon toast. Along with Hot Oatmeal, a side of chopped pecans, brown sugar, and small cup milk. 1 glass of ice water and this was an excellent breakfast.Thank you Char Broil!!!
Super friendly service and amazing staff to being able to accommodate a 14 people group within 15 minutes despite the restaurant being full with a line out the door. Food was delicious and service was prompt. Definitely recommend and will be coming back when visiting Rochester.

We came here on a Saturday morning for breakfast. The food and service were both excellent. I had the Eggs Benedict and it was delicious.

The restaurant does not require its staff to be vaccinated or to wear masks. This was witnessed firsthand and confirmed by the restaurant itself when asked.
Table was not wiped down prior to seating us nor was table near us. I had to ask someone to wipe it down after they brought us menus, silverware etc. Tips from previous customers were left on table. They were busy so to order food was a long time. Food was good so that was a plus.

Service was fine, but the food was pretty bad. The mashed potatoes with gravy tasted like it belonged either in a prison or a nursing home. The steak I got was so moist, but in a watery way not juicy, and it had almost no flavor. It was almost as though it had been boiled first and then seared on the grill. The onion rings were mediocre and my shrimp was good. I honestly dont recommend them. I wont be going here again.

Sure, it doesnt look like much more than your average diner...But the food is great, theres a little something that everyone loves the servers are great, and I guarantee you will need a wheelbarrow to get yourself back to your car. On a chart of 1-10, I rate this phenomenal (ok, I will temper this by saying I was having dinner with an old friend, which makes any dining experience great)But this makes Nick Tahous the second best dining experience in the Monroe County area(and, lets be honest- you dont want Tahous unless its 2 in the morning and youre hammered, and you cant get that now- mores the pity)Char Broil rocks
Great food. Did great with social distancing and their setup of plastic barriers to keep customers away from the food prep area and each other. Service was super fast. I love Char Broil for a good diner experience.
Sadly I was a bit under the weather so I only ordered grilled cheese with tomato, but I was very envious of my friends Beef on a Weck, fries and gravy. Lunch was delicious and the service was fantastic.

Ordered takeout, Prime Rib sandwich loaded with peppers, onions, mushrooms and cheddar cheese. Meat was very tender and roll was fresh and soft. Service was prompt and with a smile. Meal, because it also came with a tasty pickle and wavy chips, was delicious. Thanks, Mike!

Well the Lobster clam bake wasnt very good, loaded with water, slim ran out into my plate and flooded over the corn on the cob, and potatoes. They gave me a new one, I ate the 6 clams first, the potatoes and corn. The waitress got someone to help me crack open the tail, but it wasnt very tasty or big, maybe the size of a large shrimp. Was with another couple and they didnt enjoy it either. I didnt want to complain because we did once before over a meal, although manager was very accommodating, we were too embarrassed to complain again.

The food is great. When I come to eat breakfast I get the short stack of the buttermilk pancakes with 3 pieces of bacon, two sausage patties, and a glass of orange juice.

Even though this place can get very busy and the wait for a table can be long, everyone is friendly and efficient. Never had a bad meal here. They are a diner who are good at what they do.

Charbroil was packed! Had to wait 10 minutes or so, but there were 7 of us.Took a while to get service, but when we did our orders came quite quickly. Food was delicious and server was right on the ball. Will go back and take my husband this time.
This place is absolutely wonderful. My waitress was 🧨. She was attentive, brought our food to us and loved our daughter. The establishment itself was in emaculate condition. I ordered breakfast on Sunday and with the football rush, the only downfall is the wait time and the fact that they line you up like youre in a concentration camp and dont call by order that you got there. Other that that, super solid and delicious.

Ive been in several times as of late...breakfast is always spot on! Great service, prices and they have never complained when a 9:30 breakfast with an old friend lasts almost 2 hours! I did tip well! My dad loved this place, and he passed away on 12/14/2019...now Its my place...very cozy and family focused
Service was good. Food was good however the egg in my daughters eggs Benedict could have been cooked longer. But my eggs over easy was perfect, not easy to do. Would recommend breakfast here.

I love this casual family diner. Ive been eating here since they opened, as have most of their patrons. Great salad bar. I would give it 5 stars, but Im holding out because there is no non-dairy milk substitutes for those of us that like our coffee, but are lactose intolerant!

The salad bar was fresh, however a couple of plates that were stacked there were dirty which is always a turn-off. The waitress was very accommodating. The turkey dinner was good, but for the price, a whole berry cranberry sauce instead of canned, would have made a difference. The mashed potatoes were delicious. Friendly, community atmosphere and it looks like a lot of regulars go there.
The service here was friendly and fast however the food was so so. Kind of bland; needed more flavor. I had salmon and had to douse it is lemon juice. Our waitress was amazing and on point. Having said that I would never go back here. My daughters are mixed and I felt many less than friendly stares from the other customers. In fact I have never seen so many uptight, unfriendly white people in my life and I have been down south! The only person of color other than my kids was the dishwasher. In 2019 I cant and wont deal with such ignorance and I certainly wont spend my hard earned money at places like this.
Prime rib special on Saturday night and kids 10 and under eat free. Great place, great atmosphere, great food. If youre looking for a family friendly restaurant, you cant beat this place.
Wonderful atmosphere. Fabulous staff. Steak, eggs, home fries, and toast. Italian breakfast: Italian sausage, eggs, home fries, italian toast. Coffee and tea. Delicious.

The food and service was excellent. They are very busy at breakfast, lunch and dinner so it was a bit loud. I suggest that if you like it quieter, I suggest you plan to go inbetween these meal times.
Best. Diner. Ever. The staff is always fantastic and I havent been able to find anything to match it since Ive moved away. Always my first stop when I visit Rochester. Best diner food and a damn fine cup of coffee. I miss it just writing this review.
