I sent a buddy of mines to privateer connection to replace a set of clutches on a 06 Gsxr 1000. I removed the clutch cover bolts & oil. Brought fresh oil and a brand new set of clutches, took off all the fairings that was needed to be removed for the job to make it easier for (Chuck) the owner to do the job. Drop the bike off, chuck said it will take 2 weeks to complete the job.... that was in unrealistic since all the tedious work was already done. Still he left the bike because I ask him to support chuck’s business. Long story longer, chuck price gouged him and charge $219 to change a set of clutches and add oil to the bike. When 70% of the work was already done. Unacceptable terrible customer service I would never use his business again. I suggest you don’t either if you don’t like to be overcharged. I did a price check at the Suzuki dealership it would of only cost $85 lesson learned

I was out of town riding at Carolina Adventure World for the weekend. I blew out the bearings in my rear wheel on my KTM. I was referred to this shop by a local. They told me to bring my wheel and bearing set in and theyd knock it out for me, which they did in about 30 minutes. Not to mention it was Friday at 2:30 PM. I would not hesitate to give these guys a call, if I were local theyd be the only shop Id use for servicing of my KTM. Thanks guys, I really appreciate it.

2018 ktm xc-w 250. I had Chuck upgrade springs and valving for my weight. I am 240 lbs without gear. It transformed both my motorcycle and my ability to drive it. I did not expect such a drastic difference. I was able to ride easily twice as fast and with zero fatigue. Before I had to stop and catch my breath between loops and always be last in line. Now I can just pin it and keep going. What an upgrade! Yes, it is expensive. Yes, it is worth it.

If you own a Harley you know how it is when you take your. Bike to the dealership.its expensive and you have to wait a while before they get to yours.so I take mine privateer for tires and a problem with the bike cutting off at different times.well Chuck and his crew found the problem and it was a relay and they fixed it no charge .try that at the dealership.great service and you can talk with your mechanic.

I called every service center within an hours ride to get quotes for a tire change and oil change. They beat out everyone else. Service was just fine, too. Ill continue to price shop, but I expect these guys to continue being the best as most other shops are charging an arm and a leg these days.

I can’t say enough about Chuck Shirley and Privateer Connection! My house burned down last year, destroying my 2015 HD Freewheeler. We were able to salvage the Rinehart pipes and I wanted to put them on my new Freewheeler. HD said the old pipes won’t fit on the new bike. I went to see Chuck on the advice of a friend. He made a phone call to Rinehart and was told they would indeed work. That was on Friday. He told me to come in on Monday and they would install the pipes while I waited. In less than 45 minutes, I was on my way with the pipes installed. The cost was very reasonable, saving me many hundreds of dollars! Thank you, Privateer Connection!!

Experience not well.. Chuck wasnt rude but wasnt nice either. They did help me unload and load my bike. But didnt diagnose the concern I brought my bike in for, instead recommended a dozen other items not related to my original concern. Very disappointed. He was close to my home and in a convenient location.. =-(

Spent over 900 dollars. He would not even help me load my bike. One of his buddys did . As soon as the front tire rolled in my bed he was already headed inside no handshake or nothing !! He was Rude as hell. He was to busy hanging out and talking with his friends when I came to get my bike for me to ask anything. Its like I was bothering him. I also paid him to get my bike to start better. It took him 25 kicks to start it I WOULD SELL MY BIKE BEFORE I WOULD EVER TAKE IT BACK TO CHUCK!!!!!!!

Ive had the pleasure of doing business with Chuck for about 4 years now. After dropping my four wheeler off to have looked at and given a price to fix the popping noise in the rear end. Chuck messages me through Facebook (how professional) to give me a list of problems that he claims my front end needs attention to along with rear brakes which 90% of these so called problems or parts are parts I recently changed 6 months prior.. After given a 1300 dollar estimate to replace ball joints, rear brakes, cables pads, wheel bearings, etc which are all items I replaced, he tells me he doesnt know whats making the rear end noise and says he will have to charge me hourly to tear the rear end about to even attempt to give me a explanation of where the problem is and even then it may not be the issue. So I paid 112.00 for someone to tear apart my front end for no reason and tell me that it needs parts when those parts can be seen if they were bad with everything still together. In the end I was there for a noise in rear end, was robbed out of 112 dollars and still have no idea whats wrong with my four wheeler. Best regards to try someone else, perhaps even a back yard mechanic who would have more experience then the kids he has working on atvs now.

Was refered here by my goos friend Dustin arrowood and im glad i listened. I called a few times and facebook messaged due to this being my first bike and first bike tire so i had a few questions. Chuck never once treated me with nothing other than respect and never even knew i was doing more than window shopoing. The tire was mounted fast with a good price and a very nice tire. Big shout out to Privateer Connection! I pulled up at 5:00 on a Friday before the guys took off for a big Supercross race, and Chuck rolled my FLSTC up on the lift, changed my tire, and had me back on the road before 6:00. Excellent customer service, and his prices are very good. He has the best hourly rates around. By the way, I dont know if Chuck was having a bad day the time that other reviewer came in, but I have to say that Chuck treated me as though weve known each other a while. I have no problem recommending him and his shop. He just needs to add some more Harley flare to the showroom. :)

Just moved here from az about 5 months ago, decided to get back into some moto after about 3 years off the bike. Had some trouble getting it sorted after it sat for so long. Dropped it off here on a Monday, they called and said it was ready Tuesday. Finally got to take it out today, and my bike ran absolutely perfect, just like they said it would. Only bummer is that i live in columbia, and their shop is in rock hill, but for the quality service and fast turnaround time, Ill make that drive every time. Its really good to know theres a legit race shop not too terribly far away. These dudes will get my business from now on. Definitely recommend!
