My muffler and pipe was hanging to ground. Took car out there by 7:15am and waited till they opened at 8am. Its first come first serve there. I was second to be served. They fixed everything in an hour. Was a reasonable price and I was out of there. Vere nice and professional people. Good work!!

They use to be a great place to take your car, not anymore. I was told it would be 1-hour wait for an oil change, filters change, and to look over the brakes. It took them 3 hours to get the car done and they did not even look at the brakes!The people there now are rude and act like youre bothering them when you walk in and let them know what you need to be done to your car. If you look at all the positive reviews most are from years ago when they were amazing.If you want to wait hours upon hours for a 15-minute job or be treated like you are bothering them then this is our place, if not then I would stay away.

Arrived at 9am on a Friday, put it on the lift as soon as I got there. Price was fair and cheaper than the competition. I was quoted for a tailpipe and muffler from another shop. Velasquez only needed to replace muffler. They dont try to do more work than needed. Ill be coming back and referring them to others. Quick service!

They are not a complete auto facility. They don’t even diagnose the problem properly.My car literally sat for a whole week before they even looked at it then they tried telling me I needed a new motor. I took it to butita brothers and they said it was the starter not the motor, and that the motor was fine. Do not recommend them. Extremely unprofessional and they don’t seem to know a thing about anything other than brakes. They need to change their sign from complete auto to just brakes. They just want money but they don’t realize they are ruining their reputation.

They were able to get a hitch for my car that was back ordered everywhere and it only took them 45 minutes to install. The price was very reasonable and the work done was good quality.

I’m went to Tire Kingdom in Florida to get an oil change and asked about a sound my car was making. They told me it would cost 1200$ to fix the problem. Velasquez charged me 230$ and my car is running great! Looking at the reviews from Tire Kingdom I saw several women say they were quoted or charged that exact price. It’s nice to have a shop that doesn’t try rip you off and treats all customers fairly. I will use them forever.

No appointment needed, went in on a Saturday waited for approximately 2 hours and when my car went in took them 20min. And I was out the door and it was quite entertaining, who ever ronaldo is 😂 I would use this place again

Went in to have 4 oxygen sensors replaced, was quoted between 120-160 for the work since i had my own sensors. Called me a few hours later and said the price was going to be 240. Asked what happened to the original price quote, they said do you know who you spoke with, and i said guy at front counter and he talked with a mechanic to. Lady said nobody knows anything about that price, i even asked the mechanics. I said whatever just get it done since it had to be done. Couple hrs later get a call saying 2 out of 4 of the sensors I brought wont fit, wrong plug in. Bought 2 new sensors and took in.... little while later get another call, you need one more sensor because the plug is different on this one to, but the 4th sensor you brought in fits fine. So bought another sensor and took in. 3 out of 4 that I originally took in dont fit. Hmmmm Next day they call and say truck is complete, codes are clear and ready to go. Couple days later I am under the truck doing some work and I notice the 4th oxygen sensor (that supposedly fit) was unplugged and wire just hanging. I try to plug it in but for some reason the plug doesnt match up on this one also... so instead of them telling me this one wasnt correct either, they tell me truck is done. Kind of shady if you ask me..

I went in to get my exhaust done a little while back, and had asked the lady at the front desk if they’d take a little off my bill to keep my cats. She said no. So I said that’s okay when the service is done just leave the cats in the trunk or something, the next day I picked up the car the exhaust sounded great, but they kept my cats there was 6 total on my 96 mustang and they left 2 on the car so in total they took 4 cats from me and never gave them back when I called and asked about them they said they didn’t have them anymore, which I thought was bs!

Stopped in today to get O2 sensor replaced. When it was done by someone else last year they messed up the threads & didnt even put it back on correctly. They were able to fix me up & even pointed out leak in valve cover gasket that I had just replaced last week 🤦‍♀️, ad well as other issues. Although the wait, from beginning to end, was over 2 hours, Im not complaining, as expected for a walk-in service only establishment. I will be back 😁

These people are scammers tried to tell me it would be 600 and more to do my brakes and there was no way around what needed to be fixed. Went to a different person to confirm price and was a lot cheaper.

Most places would lie to you try to get you to replace things that dont need to be replaced or fix the wrong part just to get you back to waste more money well you dont have to worry about that here Im very satisfied with my service . Referred here from another shop for muffler repair. Check in was odd as the front desk clerk asked us to wait rather than drop off the car for a quote. She said it would be 10 minutes but 35 minutes later we explained we had to go. They then allowed us to drop off the car?Staff was pleasant. Repair was a bit pricey. They also did not call us to update us on when they thought the car would be ready. Instead, received a phone call stating “did anyone call you? The car is ready.”Seems like the administrative side could use a little polish. Other people seemed to have had better results it seems which is why I’m rating a 3 and not a 2.

I have used them many times but they do not take appointments. I had an experience where a major repair was not appropriately fixed and on calling was told to bring in car next day early only to be told they were backed up for days and had no idea when they could look at my issue. Not a good experience from a regular customer!

Have spent way to much money in this shop and got poor quality work. They fix a problem and you leave with a completely different problem. They do not test drive the car before you pick it up. I have left the shop several times with a car that is worse than it was when I dropped it off. Not sure what has changed but the quality is now terrible. We used to love this place and recommended it to our friends and family but after this last car I am done!!!!!!!

Ive now been to this repair shop twice for 2 different issues. The first was a small leak in the exhaust pipe by the front manifold. The other shops were quoting $700 to $800 by replacing whole system. These guys addressed the problem by welding a new manifold piece into the existing exhaust pipe. They told me the rest of the pipe was is great shape. Charged me $120. Yesterday they did a brake job on my front brakes. Great job and very competitive price. All I can say is that these folks are honest and their prices are great. Also, the wait isnt bad at all while the repair is being done. I will definitely go back with other auto issues.

Went in there with a very messed up exhaust system that was louder than a jet engine. Midas told me it was gonna be at LEAST $1200 to fix after showing me everything that needed to be replaced/fixed. At Velasquez, they also showed me the same exact thing. Replaced all the parts that needed it and fixed what could have been fixed for literally a fourth of the Midas quote (I didnt even tell them i went to Midas before). Excellent customer service and consideration, very nice waiting area that was extremely clean and tidy, and a very short wait time for my service. Everyone who left there while I was waiting was also very pleased with the service provided. Ill recommend this place to everyone I will ever meet who needs work done on their brakes/exhaust/anything else they might need done.

These cats know whats up. Hilarious affordable and really down to Earth. Very nice, friendly and will diagnose your car for no charge and give you a quote. You can also bring-your-own-parts and theyll install them. Theyre my go-to mechanic when it isnt something major.

Waited over 3 hours to get exhaust put on from the manifold. After 3 hours I was told that they couldnt get a bolt off all that time. So we had him pull it off the rack and took it home with a loud Muffler. Would not recommend

Not reliable, Owner said be there at 8 o’clock he was late and then when you go in the set up please go sit in your car for 30 minutes we’ll get to you when we can owner asked for the car all day on organized dirty place of business receptionist was not friendly, Looks like the over book appointments when she said go sit in your car for 30 minutes and I drove off not ever going back I recommend that you think twice about going to this place of business there are better places of business in Rockford area.

I took my truck in because the exhaust pipes had rusted and broken clean off of where they attach to the muffler. I was expecting to need to drop it off and pick it up later but they replaced the entire exhaust pipe, muffler, and chrome tips in under an hour!!!! The staff was very friendly and despite being a woman they didnt try to pull over any fast tricks on me. I was charged the proper amount and even was able to get rolled chrome tips vs basic for no additional fee. Which made me happy because I love the look of rolled vs basic. I will for sure be taking my truck here for anymore work it needs.

Buyer Beware! Velasquez Complete Auto Cafe sounds super sour when asked about any warranty. Just saying, shouldn’t a mechanic shop offer some kind of warranty on their labor? Understandably, any manufacturer will offer a warranty on any part purchased.

I agree with what most of the reviewer‘s have said about this business. I am a stickler about applauding Great customer service, However, I do not like the way I was treated by the receptionist. I have heard from many people that the attitude that she gives the customers is very negligent and rude. I do not want to spend my money at a place that employs such disrespectful employees. I have a 2008 Dodge Dakota bighorn. Despite an issue that was misdiagnosed 3 times by another mechanic, and over $600 on uneeded repairs done on my truck, Velazquez Auto Care was able to fix the problem in a timely manner and was completely honest with any and possible future repairs needed on my vehicle. Their service was excellent and they treat their customers with honesty and respect.

Best auto shop I have ever been to in Rockford!! Took my car in because another muffler place had botched a repair then failed to own up to it. Even though I sent my wife (I had to work) they cleaned up the repair perfectly and did not try to target her because she was a woman, as some places do. The charge was not nearly what I expected and the mechanic my wife spoke to really knew his stuff. Highly recommend them.

Took my car for front brakes they call me in a hour later and said that the back breaks where bad to. Why do people take advantage of other people there was nothing wrong with the back brakes i had just put them on like 3 months ago but i trusted their word. You will never see me there again you will never get my business and i will never recommend another person to you,. Bad bad business. Oh yeah git my car worse than what it was hope they didnt do nothing stupid.

My father had been a loyal customer for 7 years, but after today he will no longer be returning. He came in today around noon looking to replace a muffler pipe. The mechanic he spoke with gave him a ridiculous quote for the job, $300, which my dad expressed to him that it wasnt right. The mechanic then told my dad, in the most condescending manner, that he could charge him a lower price to do cochinadas translation, a piss poor job. Will not be returning here unless that mechanic faces repercussions for his attitude and lack of knowledge.

One person I know had a really great experience here. I had a terrible experience. Customer service was nonexistent. I think it depends on who is running the shop on that particular day.
