Verizon has great service, Unfortunately the employees at this store have forgotten, that customer service is what makes Verizon number one.I never have another reason to step foot into that store. It is a corporate run store And I thought that I would get treated better and have less wait time after I made my appointment. Unfortunately, I was wrong. Shame on you Verizon go shake that store up and make it better!

I am a young black business owner I have came to this store on two separate occasions to open up a business account the first time I came in they was telling me that the system was down today I came in at 10:00 AM I am now leaving at 12:50 p.m just for them to tell me I have been approved but then tells me that they have to talk to the Credit people in order for them to finish my Request comes back out and tells me that I need to talk to someone in there financial office. And this is after I seen a Caucasian woman come in at the same time I did and receive phone Lines with no question Asked Where is the equality in this⁉️

Went in multiple times for an upgrade had to make an appointment by then the current trade in offer went from 800 to 440. Was told in wasnt in stock anyways went to russel wireless an authorized verizon store who had my phone in stock if i just went there first i would have saved almost 400 dollars!!!

Literally you should go to any other place but Verizon. Waiting for hours just to figure out how to get my daughters iPad screen fixed using insurance. Dont even bother calling the store to actually speak with someone. There is no one to speak too.

There was a short wait but I felt they did an excellent job with the crowd and keeping us informed about how long it would take for us to be next. Definitely one of the easier experiences Ive ever had at any Verizon locations.

People are great, they deal with how verizon forces them to operate. Theres an invisible queuing system that you have to check into when you arrive (even the dmv has a sign for next number in line making it more tolerable than this system) which makes judging a wait time impossible. Make an appointment... walk in service will be a wait of afternoon ruining proportions. Walk in service for even the easy in and out task of purchasing a phone case is impossible, you will wait for an associate. In all they have good knowledgeable staff but the whole sales and service structure is absolute trash. Call customer care if you can. If you cant, best of luck. Even the 4 waiting chairs are uncomfortable.

I went in not knowing what to expect or pick, just that I needed a new phone. The gentleman who began helping me, Irish, was incredibly helpful, informative, and just so pleasant as he showed me my options. I mustve arrived during a shift change, and Irish passed me along to another associate, Latrice. Latrice was an absolute breath of fresh air, not unlike Irish. She too was incredibly helpful and kind, and didnt try to pull the wool over my eyes and helped me pick accessories that I NEEDED, not anything overly frivolous. Both team members were an absolute DELIGHT to work with. Hopefully theyre still around next time I need a new phone (but I hope theyve been offered some significant promotions by the time that happens).

I am not the type of person to write a review and I was appalled at my experience that I had at this location. I understand the Holiday Season and how busy it can be but that is no excuse to customers poorly. I was actually there to purchase phones for my family but opted to not buy because of their lack of knowledge and professionalism. I had basic questions but was treated like they had something better to do than take my money. I will be taking my business anywhere but here and will be sure to tell my friends, family and others to do so as well.

I am absolutely appalled by the service at this verizon. I went in wanting to upgrade my phone. I walked in, got checked in and asked what I was there for. I told them I was there to upgrade my phone. They did not ask me anything else or what phone I was looking to get. After an hour, the same guy that checked me in asked me if I knew what I wanted to get and I told him yes I know exactly what I want. He then said someone will be with me soon and walked away. Note that I still have not told them what phone I wanted. After waiting for an hour and a half... I finally went up to an employee and asked how much longer. This employee was very nice and asked what I wanted. I told him I wanted the Galaxy S10+. He said he had to check the back and on his way to the back asked another employee if that phone was back there. This employee laughed loudly and murmured probably not. Extremely disrespectful after we waited so long. He must have thought it was very funny that I wasted my time. Then we find out that the phone I wanted is not in stock... When I asked them why they didnt ask me what I wanted when I came in so I didnt have to wait for a phone they didnt have, the MANAGER responded.. well if we asked that, it would slow down the check-in process. He then stated that he was out of basically every phone... So... You knew I wanted an upgrade... You knew that you were out of most of your phones... But you still proceeded to make me wait an hour and a half for NOTHING!? This couldve been solved within seconds of me walking into the store! This has surely been the WORST experience at Verizon I have ever had. Most employees were extremely rude and did not value my time at all. So, I waited an hour and a half to walk out empty handed. No employee INCLUDING THE MANAGER offered to order it for me or offer me anything for the inconvenience. Truly an appalling experience. I will NEVER return to this store.

Dont fall for the 2 year agreement, they put you on 2 year agreement charge $20 extra per line without telling you upfront. Got iPhone they discounted $200 off put me on unlimited plan next thing I see on my bill $20 on top of the plan price per line.

This is the WORST Verizon store I have ever been too. I worked with a gentleman named Matthew Bennett who you should definitely run away from. Ultimately I discovered all I can do at this store is purchase a phone and they can activate it but they cant download my contacts.Also, Matthew Bennett had to call my spouse to verify I was an authorized user. I went to the Belvidere store a few days ago and they had to do the same thing so I figured okay no problem. I was mistaken, it was a big problem, at least for Matthew Bennett. He told me he had to text my spouse a code in order to help me. I explained my spouse (wisely) doesnt have a Verizon phone and uses an Xfinity phone. Matthew then informed me he can ONLY text the verification code to a Verizon phone and therefore he couldnt help me!I waited in line outside (due to Covid 19) for over a half an hour to be told he couldnt help me unless he texted my spouse. I promptly got on the phone to Verizon and was informed that was completely incorrect. All Mr. Bennett had to do was email my spouse. I wasted an hour of my time only to have to get back in line outside to get the service I needed.I waited for over 45 mins the second time, and they did not take even one person into the store during that time. I got in my car and drove to the Machesney store to see if perhaps they had better service. The Verizon store in Belvidere is not really a Verizon store they couldnt help me and informed me I need to go to an actual Verizon store. FYI the one in Belvidere is now Cellular Sales.Long story short, I too will be switching my phone to Xfinity. I simply got tired of the run around.

Any time you call Verizon about anything, for help on your phone, same thing. Im about to write the CEO. It doesnt help to call their accounting department when you get their even stranger letter.

The poor experience I had at this place war so poor. I waited for 2 hours and I did not get help at all. Ever since they remodeled they only went down hill. The customer service was executed poorly. I would not recommend going to this Verizon. Most people do not even know how to even check in there is no sign and no one to stand by to catch customers from, in there words. Being lost and not checking in. please have a sign or have someone really try hard to make sure customers check in. thank you...also another thing I want to mention. It does not take 3 people to help 1 customer. If they need help to just help with a customer about there phone than they shouldnt be working there if they do not know what to do thats unprofessionalism, a lot of thing needs to be fixed before you guys just lose a lot of customers. I saw the other reviews and it just seems that nothing is changing. Hopefully this makes you guys realise that things needs to change.

Everybody there was super friendly and fun even though we came in an hour before close. I would highly suggest Andrew as he is the guy who helped us and was a huge help in a lot of different aspects (I.E. perks of phones, phone cases and screen protectors, switching everything over.) Would highly suggest to friends and family. Never disappointed when I go to that location.

Im sorely disappointed in the Verizon store in Rockford il. Store. I was in AGAIN with my Motorola phone. The associate worked on my phone for an hour at least. And sent me home. Unfortunatly nothing changed!! Ive basically had nothing but trouble with this phone, they replaced the phone once, with a worse phone. I pay good money for insurance and get a used phone that has been nothing but trouble. I will never have another motorola phone, and thinking changing providers, and I have been with Verizon for 50+ years. Im handicapped and its a great effort to get to the store, and to NO AVAIL!!!!

Multiple visits here and never had a good experience. Reps dont listen and are lazy. Was told I could swap a phone at the store and the store always makes excuses to not have to take the phone and mail it back for a warranty exchange. One time I came in to do a return that was already approved by Verizon and the rep didnt want to listen, I even had to spend time explaining to the rep how to have a proper conversation and that both parties get to talk not just 1 person, He got upset about that and got his manager who instantly logged on to see my return was approved and the rep I was teaching got an attitude and stomped off like a 2 year old.

I have no issues with this store, it’s management, or it’s employees. Just Verizon in general. This just happens to be my local store that I’ve tried to contact.Had an issue with my prepaid plan, so I called customer service from my parents landline. Was on automated hold for an hour. After that I hung up and drove 45 minutes to my nearest Verizon store to find a real voice to answer my questions.They told me they could do nothing and I had to call customer service again. I told them they had to call because I was not going to put up with a computer again.They did and handed the phone to me.Guess what happened then? Yep. I was on hold for another hour, in a Verizon store. Finally a real human voice picked up on the other end. In less in a minute it was fixed.That makes a total of 2 wasted hours on hold, 1.5 hours of wasted driving, all for just one minute on the phone with a real human.I admit that was two years ago, But I just called to check some prices on a tablet. I was put on the same stupid automated system. I could not get ahold of a real person either at the main customer service, Or my local store.They may have the best signal and price, but they are not worth it.

Store associates rather sell you a new phone instead of fixing the issue with current phone. Lie about the price of phone until you speak with customer service and find out the truth. Spoke with manager who refused to give me the number to corporate to file a complaint, and hung up in my face. Purchased IPhone X, iPad, and accessories costing over $800 total and they did not treat me with respect at all insisting I bring the devices back if I was unhappy- not to mention $50 restocking fees for each item. Will be filing complaint with corporate. Managers name is Dan and the lying sales associate Joey.

Bad experience today w this store. It was a bumpy start w the rep who seemed to just say all the wrong things to this very frustrated customer. It started w asking 3 times in the first 5 mins when I bought my phone, but thankfully smoothed out midway through. It ended w the manager, who was a short, stocky, balding, jerk w a god-complex instructing the rep to erase all my saved info (old phone) and hand over the newest phone to get me out of his store. After snatching my phones back and continuing the data transfer myself, the ahole manager finally walked away.If this is the type of bare minimum customer service you look forward to, then I absolutely recommend this store for their boys club/car dealership-like culture.However, if you prefer to be treated decently, by caring reps, who arent managed by a male who clearly feels a need to overcompensate for his personal issues by mistreating customers, then please avoid this unfortunate excuse for a representation of Verizon at all costs!
