He was very friendly and professional and had the issue fixed within minutes. It was very affordable and he provided some tips and tricks to keep the unit from having the same issues moving forward. My A/C went out on a Saturday and flooded my crawl space. I called Monday morning and Ryan came out about an hour later. He thoroughly listened to me describe the problem, assessed the area, and diagnosed the issue. He had the repair done and completed the maintenance check while he was here. I bought a new furnace and air conditioner not cheap. The guy do the work were nice but they damaged my stairs but they dont have an appliance dolly. And then I had to keep calling to see what they were going to do. Hes only willing to pay about a third of what its going to cost me to have them repaired. And he does not return any of my phone calls

They came out and was told ac would not work and then left and I have called 5 days in a row with no response back. WILL NEVER USE THEM AGSIN ...they walked away from their mistake after they installed the furnace two months ago. To respond to your reply. There werent letter sent. Was not asking for free. I just wanted it fixed. With you not responding after kyle told me to call. You still ignored us. For for 5 days calling to fix the issue. There is nothing in life for free.

Service tech Ryan Hicks text me to see if I was ready for him to come by (1 hour before my 11:00-1:00 scheduled appointment), and he would arrive in 15-20 mins. Arrived wearing a mask, much appreciated; I also put mine on. I informed Ryan the furnace was working.I showed him the 4 error codes I was getting the day before, 2/17/21, and that I had cleared ice from the vent pipe of my Lennox furnace. He said this was the reason for one of the error codes. He suggested a seasonal inspection of my unit (installed 10/2013 by a since retired contractor).Ryan is very professional and knowledgeable in his work. (Only negative, I could tell by his stocking hat, that he is a Bear fan..... but I won’t hold that against him)In the future, I will be calling Allen H&C for my AC/heating needs.

Allen heating & cooling sent 2 technicians (Ryan & Gabe) a couple of months ago to fix my heater. I was charged about 100 dollars for the technician call but Ryan offered me a 25 dollar discount for a good review online. He didn’t give me any money, coupon or discount, he said corporate would honor the discount. When I called to claim the discount I was told they would honor it on their next visit. Today is February 21, 2021 and I was in need of a technician for my furnace I called them and mentioned the discount, Ryan told me that unfortunately since I didn’t have the coupon mailed to me he wouldn’t honor any discount but he would charge me time and half since today is Sunday.To the public out there just be aware of lies and tricks some companies say to handle business.To Allen Heating & Cooling please try to be honest with clients regarding the reviews, by the way I have everything Ryan said recorded.

We called Allen Heating and Cooling to get second quote on work we were told we needed done on a boiler we have. I am so glad we did! The service man was incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, and showed us what needed to be repaired. I will never call the other guys again. By calling Allen, we probably saved over $2,000. Ryan was friendly and efficient in determining why my recently installed AC unit was suddenly not working! I was impressed with his happy and upbeat attitude as he worked in the hot summer heat. Great experience, great people, excellent work. Our ac died on a very hot Sunday. The home warranty called 5 contractors, none of which could come out. They told us if were could find someone they would reimburse the repair. A friend recommended Allen, and Tom responded right away. They had Isaac out in an hour, but the blower motor had died and they couldnt get the part. The next morning they were out work the new blower and installed it, but it was defective. They went and got another one and spent hours swapping it again. They worked until 7pm to get it going for us and did a great job. They worked with our warranty company and accepted payment directly from them so we didnt even have to file any paperwork. Thank you for the great service, hard work, and sticking with it to get our ac up and running again. I hope the warranty company sends all their business to Allen.

Got our annual check up done today. Had to reschedule due to storms on original day. Everything went great. Got a phone call ahead of time and the technician, Ryan, showed up exactly on time. Work was completed in a timely manner. Parts will be ordered for necessary repairs and we will be notified for the installation.

Very pleased I initially went with Allen for my furnace installation as well as the recent service call for a failed part. Even though a very busy time of year for furnace work for them, the needed service was addressed very quickly. I am going to estimate someone was here in about 1 1/2 hours of the service call. Service calls are never cheap but this was certainly reasonable. Also knowing the work is done correctly gives a good degree of peace of mind.

We got our 20-year-old AC replaced about 2 months ago by Allen. The new system is way more energy efficient and is able to keep up on hot days. No problems with any aspect of the installation so far. They were the least expensive of the 3 quotes we got and it looks like we made the right decision choosing Allen.

Its been outside in the heat and cold for years and it ended up needing a new capacitor. Hey, thats to be expected. They installed a ductless a/c system in my home last summer. Pros: very professional and knowledgeable. They suggested a different design plan from other installers that best met my needs. They showed up on time and stayed until job was done - even when attacked by bees. Cons: More expensive than other installers. Drilled unnecessary holes in brick wall. Never followed up on installation of attic vent fan. Getting rebates was like pulling teeth. I had to call and call and call... and Im still calling in February. (Note to owner: I would have given 5 stars if not for this.)

So far the service is great. That’s not to say I hate the outcome. We need a new A/C!! But the tech guys (already forgot their names) were very efficient, friendly, courteous and patient when I started to lose my cool over yet another project needed for this new house we moved into just a year ago.

I called Allen heating & cooling about diagnosing an issue with my AC unit and was told that the diagnostic cost would be $69. The company then sent out a gentleman named Isaac who was clearly new to the field and needed to make a phone call to confirm every answer for every single question that he was asked. Issac initially diagnosed the problem as the blower motor but after making one of his many phone calls, he was told that he’d have to replace the module before even working on the blower motor. Isaac had to make many phone calls and couldn’t even give a correct estimate without making a mistake. He then told us the price for him coming out would be $99 as opposed to the $69 that we were originally told due to him going 15 minutes over the half hour. However, we were told the diagnostic cost was a flat rate of $69, we were never told that it was only for the first half hour and not to mention the fact the diagnosing wouldn’t have taken that long if Allen heating and cooling would have sent out an experienced technician who didn’t have to make several phone calls which attributed to the 15 extra minutes of labor.

Ryan was very kind and professional while looking into my AC issue that I was having. He explained to us as he was going through the trouble shooting cycle on the reasons why my AC was acting the way it was and he gave us some good recommendations for our future AC purchase. Thank You Ryan.

He arrived on time and everything checked out great. I have an older air conditioner that uses R22 so I am hoping it holds out for a while longer.

We decided to replace the central air conditioner they were reasonably priced and we were in the middle of a 100 degree heat wave they were very quick to get the job done. Our experience with Allen Heating and Cooling has been horrific! We have had at least 4 different people out here and we have been put off on getting something done. If they come out after hours, warranty does not cover that! Over double Com Ed bills since January, oh well that happens if Freon is over or under charged. Took till Like end of May to get the Freon taken care of! At Allens insistence the problem is out duct work. Which no one checked when they did the bid. So today, they soaked us an additional $1,000.00 For that. Guess what. It still DOES NOT WORK!!!! So $10,000.00 For the unit and it doesnt work. Now the duct work. What the Heck kind of company does this to people! Our old unit that was 22 years old and it Worked!! We thought we were going to save money by upgrading. WOW! What a shock and dissapppoint! Will they come and make this right before one of us die of heat stroke?

I was a customer of Allen Heating and Cooling and used to recommend them until yesterday, May 25. My ac stopped working and I called them first thing on Friday morning at 7:55 am. I was told that a service tech would be able to come out after 12 noon and that they’d call me before they were dispatched. At 4:00pm I called to get an update and see what time they would arrive. I was told by the office lady (same one I spoke to at 7:55 am) that there was a “slim to none chance they would get there by 5:00 pm” and that i needed to now approve paying overtime rates to get a technician that same day. Allen does not have Saturday hours and since it was Memorial Day weekend, that meant I either paid overtime or waited until Tuesday for service. The forecast was for 3 days of 90+ degree weather.They could not explain why they didn’t bother to contact me earlier to make me aware of this additional charge. I felt like I was being held hostage to either pay overtime or not get my AC serviced. I decided to call another company (Black Diamond Axberg) and they gladly set up a Saturday appointment for service and there was NO OVERTIME CHARGE. Unfortunately my AC is dead and needs to be replaced. Allen lost out on that sale because they couldn’t honor their commitments and tried to charge me overtime for their scheduling mistake. They have lost me as a customer over their poor treatment.

I had a new furnace replaced and all of the techs were very professional and efficient.

Given a quote for a furnace that was lower than other quotes I received from other vendors and after researching the best options for my home decided to go with Allen Heating & Cooling. Huge mistake!! After removing my old furnace, installers said they couldnt install the unit I bought because it wasnt compatible with my A/C setup. My only option was to purchase another part so it would work with my A/C, so I did. They drained the freon from my A/C to install the part and next season my A/C doesnt work. Not to worry though, they can limp it along for another $350.00. Dishonesty in action!!!

I contacted Allen heating on Saturday morning and spoke to them regarding a problem with a new A/C unit that had just been installed, they informed me that a tech would be calling as soon as possible and within 5 minutes I got a return call from Ryan. Ryan had advised me that he would call when he was on his way, needless to say within a couple of hours Ryan called and showed up when he said he would. Ryan figured out the problem within a few minutes and fixed the problem without any problem. Jeff from Allen Heating and Cooling has helped us on two separate occasions with a Trane high efficient furnace and a Trane Air Conditioner. Both times have been like sitting down with a familiar friend who explained things in a easy to understand way so we could make an educational decision on what would work for us. Had one of their service techs out to check out a furnace. He told us he thought it was a control board and would be out the next day. Charged us 420 dollars for service and the part. The next day he shows up with the wrong control board. Day three he comes out and replaces the control board and the problem was not fixed. Zach took the new control board back with him as that was not the problem threw the old board in the bottom of furnace, didn’t bother hooking back up and Zach told my wife to call the office and either request a refund or possibly ask for sales to quote a new unit and the charges could be deducted off new bill. We had this same issue over the summer with an air conditioning issue and against our better judgement had them back as they were the installers when our house was built. Two months later we are still waiting on our refund and getting the run around from a guy named Jared.Turned out being a $120 part another company came out and fixed same day and didn’t try to push us into spending thousands on two new units.. not a professional company to work with, you pay for their mistakes!!

Joyce NewgardI am a 63 year old woman, and have never been treated so terrible by a company that I paid over 5,900.00 dollars for them to come into my home in all my life Once they had my money, I was at their mercy.I paid in full the day before installation, and had Allen Heating and Cooling install a new 80,000 btu Amana furnace and a c unit on March 1 2019.1st mistake, using Allen Heating and Cooling, 2nd mistake, paying in full before I was happy with my new furnace and a c unitOn March 8 2019 I called to have a technician come out because the motor was squealing every time the motor came on. I also complained that the furnace was not heating my very small, 1,142 square foot home. The a c new coil leaked at the end of June, Allen Heating and Cooling said I needed a new one.I either spoke to someone from Allen Heating and Cooling or texted them at least 32 times trying to get some resolution. More than once I asked for a refund because later on, I had 2 other companies out and they both said that I was sold a furnace that was way to large for my home. I should have had a 70,000 btu furnace installed John Harvey from Allen Heating and Cooling also at one point told me I should have had a 70,000 btu for the size of my home, but Allen Heating and Cooling does not sell that size of a furnace. Allen Heating and Cooling wanted me to replace my duct work to accommodate the new furnace. At one point, the service manager, John Harvey from Allen Heating and Cooling told me No refund, I paid for the furnace and a c units, they were mine and I could sell them online if I wanted to. When the a c coil quit working, they came out and left my furnace in the middle of my basement floor, unhooked when I said I again wanted a refund. That is when I discovered that they failed to clean the pipe from the chimney to the furnace. I sent texts to John Harvey about that. He never responded to me, but he sent my text to someone else, me included by mistake Im sure. His wording to whom ever he forwarded that text to was I am not responding to this till we have some time to think about it and let them stew on it. They left me like that for the duration of the summer because at one point they tried installing a 100,000 btu furnace that was to big for my home. I had to purchase 2 a c window units, one for my bedroom and the other for my living room to get myself through the stifling hot months of August and September months 95 plus degrees on some days. The last time that I had any communications with Allen Heating and Cooling was August 9,2019.Allen Heating and Cooling resolved nothing thing for me. After much anxiety and many sleepless nights, I had lost all trust with Allen Heating and Cooling. In the end, I had another company come out and paid them to make the necessary repairs to my furnace so I would have heat for the winter. Among other things that Allen Heating and Cooling did wrong, the burner and blower were not adjusted correctly, which are the two original complaints I had the first week I had this furnace. The new company will be back in the spring to replace the bad coil for the a c unit.I find this an appalling way to treat a woman. Shame on this man, the owner of Allen Heating and Cooling, Tom Howe. I never ever received a telephone call from this man.I paid 5,950 Salesman Jeff Negri sold us to large of a furnace for our home. He said we needed a 70,000 btu, which they did not have, and a 60,000 btu was to small. He recommended a 80,000 btu. After 5 service calls and 32 messages, no resolution. July 1 I spoke to John Harvey about a refund. Crickets until July 25 when I called again, he told me to call Laura, She said owner on vacation. Aug. 1 I spoke to Laura about refund, she said no full refund, maybe a partial. Crickets again. It is silly for Tom to have pointed out accuracy of summer temps as we were the ones that suffered.According to Tom, a flue pipe is okay unless it is completely plugged. By this time, you are sick or dead.

Ryan did a great job. Cleaned the furnace,and installed a new Aprilaire humidifier.Fast, effeciant, and such a gentleman.

HelloNate, Cesar, Jordan, and Jeff, are the idle techs youd want working in your home. They were on time and got right to work. I dont think they even took a brake, they were willing to answer any and all questions, very honest, and personable, because of these 4 people i would not hesitate on calling Allen cooling again, they are my go to from now on. If the owner doesnt already do this, he should say thank you, to these guys everyday, and also deserving of a gift certificate from Texas Roadhouse at least twice a year, and maybe a raise. Thank you so much!

I had an furnace/humidifier issue that required the installation of a condenser pump. The installation ran into some challenges due to the nature of the factory operation of my Trane furnace. The issues were solved but with additional invoiced cost than the original oral bid. I requested a review of the additional cost and the management agreed to issue the credit that I suggested for some of the additional cost invoiced. I appreciated their integrity and would highly recommend this company for any repair work. I have continued, for a second term, my two year maintenance contract and am confident that I am in good hands!

There has been an issue with this new heat pump/ air. They have been out many times. Told me I needed ductwork changed( to the toon of 1000.00.) Still does not cool. VERY UNHAPPY. WAS installed in January. Electric bills more than doubled. Takes 2 weeks in most cases to have them come out. Work in progress. Im thinking they owe my some payback. LEMON LAW applies.
