Love this place. Not because of the variety of great products or the very low pricing... its the people that work there. It seems every time I go I have some terrific interaction with one if their workers, often times at the check out. Yes! Human interaction! With friendly, helpful people! Thank you Ocean State...keep up the good work you do.

I am a frequent shopper at this store, but this place has lost my custom, while shopping there this week, the young man that works there threw 4 rugs, they came so close to hitting me, they actually landed right at my feet, if I’d been a few steps closer I would have been knocked off my feet, I was quite shaken, he was obviously having a temper tantrum, the fact that he never apologized, or even bothered to ask if I was OK shows that he clearly has no respect for the customers. I gave this place a 2 star, only because there’s actually some really good people who work there, sadly due to this individual, I will drive the extra 10 minutes to Bridgewater.

I love going to Ocean State Job Lots! The amazing deals that they have are incomparable to any place else. Plus they have the Ocean State Job Lots Bucks and you get twice for your money!

I love Ocean State Job lot... The staff works very hard to keep the store in great condition and I have to say that they are consistently upbeat and friendly. I almost always find what Im looking for and if not theres plenty of other items to choose from!

I love OSJL!!! I always find everything I need plus more. The prices are excellent and the quality of the products they sell are sturdy, durable and long-lasting. I love their cell phone accessories, their seasonal items, household items and their beauty products are the best!! Normally what it would cost to get some of the name brands they sell are almost too good to be true. But its no dream. And finally, the staff are always helpful and friendly.

Was looking for fancy flip flops. Hit the jackpot!! Plus an awesome copper French press for coffee.

This was the cleanest, most organized Ocean State i have visited in long time. There was friendly and helpful staff throughout the store - something you rarely experience at a Job Lot. I will make it a point to return to this location.

I know that new things are coming into the stores all the time but these people need some organizational skills too many things in the aisles that you can trip on. Also just to remind people that when you buy an item lets say a vacuum for instance it says on the box that is has been refurbished. I bought three tablets last year and they were refurbished tablets and after 1 month they did not work and I could not take them back and get my money back so even if its cheap that doesnt mean that its good

I got some great flavored coffee here. They have a great selection of food too. Their prices are reasonable. They not only have food, but other reasonably items you can purchase. I got a pair of wool socks for winter for $3.99.

This store is ALWAYS clean,well stocked and constantly getting new merchandise of all sorts ❤️

I can only hope that the new Ocean State coming to Weymouth will be half as good as my go to store in Rockland!

I have been an occasional customer of Ocean State Job lot for the past 20 years. A few months ago I relocated to Rockland Mass and just recently visited the local Job Lot. I was shocked at how amazing the food aisles were. I could actually see and find so many items I love, so much so that I now go there before going to the grocery store. The helpful food manager explained to me the Eat For Free table, which I formally found confusing, and you wont believe how cheaply you can eat like a king for almost no money. In these uncertain times, the Rockland OSJL is a hidden gem that we are so blessed to have.

I love Ocean State Job Lot. This Rockland location& the Marshfield location, are the two closest to me. I honestly wouldve gave them 5 stars, but just about every time I shop here, theres grumpy or rude employees. Which is one thing I just really have no patience for. I did one time have the nicest cashier, who was just a teenager! Helped us with coupons and with signing up for a Job Lot Rewards card too. Super pleasant, friendly, & helpful. And just a kid. I remember his name tag said, Sean. So honestly, I hope he gets credit where credit is due here! He was even nicer and more helpful, than the management!- I hope this teenager is shown that hard work& being friendly& helpful, pays off!- With a bonus in his check, or a raise in his pay. Seriously. 👍

I just bought 2 bags of pet safe rock salt at $12.00 a bag. I opened one and it is all pretty much solid. Stick at buying it at another store, not happy with the purchase.

Ocean state job lot always has great sales and their prices are a bargain compared to most. they have everything you could possibly need from gardening equipment to cosmetics and hygiene products and womens & mens clothing to food, spices and awesome cookware!

The staff was unfriendly and unpleasant, so were the customers that go there. I will not go back. I purchased a small, ceramic pot and the cashier didnt wrap it, or even put it in a bag! Just pushed it closer to me. Never again. I treat everyone kindly, there is no need to be rude or completely unpleasant. Dont like your job? Found a new one.

For those one off ites you cant seem to find anywhere else, I always check ocean state and they never disappoint.

They have stuff. Lots and lots of it. Basic retail areas...candy, cosmetics, cleaning supplies, diapers and seasonal, holiday stuff. Go w general needs in mind...paper hand towels...but not specific brands. If you didnt mind going here and then other stores for household stuff, and had discipline not to impulse buy, then over time youd save $$, as opposed to one stop grocery store for example.

My favorite store in South Shore. I come from Braintree to shop here. I always find what I want or something better.

They have a great variety of every day items and seasonal items as well as great prices. This is my go to for any household item inside and outside. Customer service is always pleasant and helpful. Parking is always a breeze and if they dont have what your looking for Family Dollar is right next door and chances are theyll have what you need. Best of both worlds.

This is a good place to find bargains. The store is fairly large. They have what they call crazy deals which can really be quite a bargain. When you buy something you get a crazy deal coupon that can be worth quite a bit towards a future purchases. I have been to several of these doors and would definitely go back again.

Great for a quick fix. I make a lot of gorp so I get a lot of my nuts here. Cheep chemical body warmers

Inexpensive store with a variety of second tier items. You can find some bargains if you are willing to take a chance. Just remember to check the expiration date on the food stuffs!

Needs improvement in the hardware department. Could use nut and bolt kits, screw kits, wall mollies and screw in anchors.

OSJL is my favorite store. I get such great deals there... they have all the dog stuff, outerwear, kitchen stuff, food, cosmetics, bath towels, etc. Seasonal, in fact they have everything to put gifts in: bags, boxes, paper, and cards. Soon theyll have great wreaths. They have crazy deals where they discount items or give you a gift card for the same price as the items, so ITS FREE! I just got 100 pounds of birdseed for short money! Check it out! Bobs red mill stuff, some gluten free, for way less than any other store! Friendly people and all sorts of food!

The staff was very helpful.. Just could not find staff on the floor.. But they were absolutely wonderful at the checkout counter.

I always like browsing through Job Lot. Its right down the street from me, and It has so much stuff. I actually went in looking for an electric tea kettle, which they had, but only glass (i needed a metal one). Will be returning.

This is one of the worst of this chain that Ive ever been to. I wish I could blame it all on covid but it was just a stressful and bad experience.

It would be 5 stars if they had restroom facilities. I had to leave the store and find a restroom elsewhere.
