Amazing coffee and good service each time. Love the location and ambiance above it all. Really wish they didn’t charge a buck for alternative milks. Maybe they can have lactose free milks available for a cheaper price? I know it’s hard to work lactose free milk like you can whole milk but I would still appreciate it. It’s kind of weird that they inherited the reviews from Origin Coffee.. Pause does not support the fight against human trafficking like Origin did.

Great coffee with plenty of seating. Limited menu. Did not try food this visit as it was after 2 pm. Will be going back.

Large tables, good for hanging out. Love the distressed industrial modern decor/vibe. Espresso was STRONG but good. Baked goods are yummy as well (the chocolate chip cookie was especially delicious).

Super great little coffee place. The business model and its desire to help do some good in this world is refreshing and wonderful. The coffee if real coffee and tastes great, but is a little different than your standard Pikes boring flavor. Highly recommended.

I liked the fact that you can actually sit down and they few table sizes. The coffee is good but there isnt a big selection of coffee and only number of pastries that werent very good. I believe that if they would add small sandwiches or something extra it would attract more people. For now I dont believe I will go there again.

Great place to get coffee, do homework, and study for exams. They are not very strict with guidelines such as masks so thats a plus for me.

I was in a need to find a new place to study, find a different coffee shop, a friend of mine told me about Origin Coffee & Tea. The atmosphere feels chill here, there is old-style wooden tables with charging ports, also high tables too. As the places name claims they offer coffee and tea (moderately price too) Expresso $3.25, Cappuccino $4, Latter $4.50, hot chocolate or lemonade $4. (Roughly the prices range as low as $3 to as high as $6.50). Depending on the day the place can get really packed, (this is more during after school hours). I personally enjoy the place and its chill vibe. Im definitely thanking my friend and would recommend it to my other friends who are looking for a chill place to have coffee, tea, or a drink while studying or getting work done. I would recommend the same to anyone too!

Nice atmosphere, but the brewed coffee is pretty bad. Just my opinion. I wouldnt recommend this to a friend.

Its getting 2 stars only because its super nice inside and their friday night open mic is pretty cool. However everything was a poor experience. To start off: i walked in for the first time ever cause Ive heard good things. The first thing i notice is several kids behind the counter all of whom are on their phones and none of them working. There was no greeting or a welcome what can we get for you I got a black cold brew to drink and it was not good. Tasted way over brewed. I noticed throughout the hour i stayed that these kids working there were on their phones 24/7. Every employee drinking something sitting on the counters in groups. Very irresponsible and unprofessional. You could tell none of them wanted to be there and were very poor at customer service. I do not recommend this place to anyone but would advise going somewhere else where the employees are professional and actually work, greet, and talk to customers and where the coffee is good too.

First timer here and really enjoyed my large iced mocha! The layout and vibes inside are only positive and it almost sounds like a library besides the noise the barista is serving up behind the counter! Affordable, local, a new treat to Rocklin!

Great environment, good coffee and tea. Music is always pumping, not ideal for a bible study but maybe for a casual read or getting some computer work done. Speedy WiFi and plenty-o outletz.

Ok coffee (not worth the price though), nice atmosphere with plenty of space inside, comfortable seats. But our table was dirty, and the two employees behind the counter were too busy looking at their phones and writing in their notebooks to bother to make our drinks (no one else was in line) and had to be reminded to do so after we waited 10min. Once they did remember what their job was, our drinks were out quickly. Though smiling is apparently not in the job description either.

I went here with one of my girlfriends to grab a drink last week. The peppermint hot tea is really good, always remember to add a little bit of sweetener to it. $3 bucks wasn’t bad for a hot tea, so I was really happy with the pricing. The front desk lady was nice, so I was happy about that. Also, this is a great place to study and do homework at. Even though it can get busy at night, around 4-5 it’s a cute little place. I enjoyed coming here and will be coming back again soon. 👍🏻

Pause coffee is located where Origins used to be. Ownership changed about a month ago. There wasnt a lot different at Pause compared to Origins. I imagine they are in the process of creating their own culture. Overall it was a good experience and the drinks were also good.

Quality coffee, nice people, and comfortable space to hang out with a friend or study. I make a habit of stopping in if we are in the area.

Server was very pleasant and helpful. Service was a little slow, but the place is very chill and relaxing with some cool art to look at while you wait. I had a pour over and it was good, but not great. All that said I would recommend and Ill go back next time Im in the area.

Couches indoors and outdoors and its right next to a yummy sushi spot. Not only that, but all of your proceeds go towards stopping sex trafficking!! All of the employees are volunteers. The main reason why I love to go here.

Amazing coffee shop, love to come here with friends and chat. Many students come here to study. Huge area for seating. Best part its a christian coffee shop and you can totally feel the atmosphere, care and service is by far the best. Favorite drink is their lattes ❤❤❤

Pretty good service, but not so good coffee. The only way I can describe it is the taste of canned green beans. I did not enjoy my coffee very much. But overall it has nice decorations and good service.

Good loose leaf teas, much better than almost any place I have ever had tea. Both the green/black and fruit teas have super flavor. I like the idea that any profits go to reducing human trafficking, a huge problem in our local area. Finally tried the London Fog, it can be found in the dictionary under AWESOME, my new favorite.

My favorite quiet place for a French press and some study time. Great staff, great service and great building.

We LOVE Origin! They have so many options, we love getting their coffee of course and their pastries are delicious. They have Kombucha on tap, which is so good! I also love supporting a non profit business that is helping fight human trafficking. The employees are actually volunteers and I am always very impressed with their dedication to what they do even though they arent being paid!!

I’ve been coming to Origin for years as a customer and volunteered here a few years back. It can be a quiet or vibrant environment usually depending on how close the nearby college is to midterms or finals. The coffee is good and the chai is amazing. The staff is friendly and keep the place clean and cozy. They also have back rooms which you can rent for meetings or if you just need a quiet space. And since all profits go to helping fight human trafficking, you can feel good about the money you’re spending here.

The place was bright, welcoming and the French press coffee was delicious.The staff are all mostly volunteers and they were very nice and helpful.It is a great place to hang out and have a great cup of coffee.

The coffee was good, the chai was excellent. Great place to hang out with friends or rent one of the rooms in the back for a more formal meeting space. Lots of people had the same idea, but still plenty of space to find seats. Love love love their purpose.

A very hip spot. Depending on your taste of coffee shop, this may be your place. Very cool and young with average age being 18 - 20. Coffee was great, service was clumsy, but very nice. Not my crowd, I enjoy a more down to earth coffee shop, but this very hip place works well for the younger folks.

I am a tea drinker. This establishment offers high quality loose leaf tea in addition to the coffee and espresso drinks that are expected at coffee shops. Its a great atmosphere and every one who works here is a volunteer... ensuring that every penny outside of operating costs goes to the prevention of human trafficking!

Although Origin has very high end coffee, its just not to my personal taste. Maybe Im too conditioned to Starbucks? Friendly staff and cool decor. Limited drink selection compared to many other cafés. Many of my friends love this style of coffee and would rate Origin the full five stars.

Ive been here twice and both times the coffee was not good (think instant coffee quality) & the service was subpar.The decor is pretty cute and the mission is cool, but I just cant justify spending 1.5 - 2 times more here for a cup of coffee I could make better myself.Always lots of high school or young college students here, which is fine but can get noisy.

They have the best Baristas! Florina and Laura are very professional and they do an amazing job.

The Modern Mocha is a unique drink and tastes like a Snickers bar! But, best of all, the proceeds go to a good cause. Your coffee tastes good and helps to fight trafficking.

Meh. The industrial feel of the place is as sterile as the employees. There were three guys behind the counter, and not one of them said so much as hi when I walked in the door. Eventually, I got one of them away from his phone long enough to make me a latte, which turned out to be just okay.All-in-all, I wont say dont go here, but there are far better coffee shops in the area.

There are a number of excellent coffees to try using their pour over method which truly delivers a high quality cup of coffee. I also especially enjoy the Iced White Mochas during mild weather. The atmosphere in the shop is friendly and easy going. The meeting rooms in the back are a great place to hold small meetings with my clients. I also enjoy just hanging out with friends in this relaxed atmosphere.

Origin is a chill well decorated simple coffee shop. I can’t believe the employees are volunteers! I’ve had good service and I think they might have free drip on Tuesday mornings. Best coffee shop in Rocklin.

Went to this coffee shop specifically because they were open until 10pm according to their Google listing. I was notified at 9:30 by an employee they were closing up and it was 9:30. Please fix your hours online!

I have been to this coffee shop before and Im actually here right now. I came in early on a Saturday to get some work done and Im the ONLY customer in here. I walked in and was barely greeted by one of three employees, the one who greeted me simply paused in conversation with the others and muttered a hello to me. They were fairly busy making coffee for themselves.I have never written a negative review for a place, but there is virtually no customer service here. When I found that all the employees are volunteers, I suppose that helps explain whats happening.Again, I was the only person here, and working away on my laptop with my headphones in and heard the barista yell out that my latte was ready at the counter. In my experience working at a sit-down coffee shop, I can usually muster up the energy to bring the customer their drink -- regardless of how busy it is -- and certainly if theres ONE person in the whole shop.The coffee tasted just fine and the atmosphere is nice and cozy with plenty of outlets for getting work done. The volunteers however are a little preoccupied with conversations among themselves, making their own drinks, and spending time on their phones.Honestly, I usually wouldnt give a rip, but I think whoever is managing this coffee shop oughta know!

Coffee was great (Americano and a carmel latte)! Atmosphere is cool. But the reason its only getting three stars is because of the customer service. No one said hello, how can we help you, what can we get you...nothing. The person behind the register just stood there. The other staff were very interested in themselves and their phones but not the customers. Im really hesitant to try this place again.

Simple menu, the staff is super friendly and I love that proceeds go towards helping victims of sex trafficking. Its the perfect hangout or even business meet up place. I meet my kids teacher here to turn in homeschool work and I always get an iced dirty chai, its so good!
