Requested an appointment online and was given 11:00am, which was great and exactly what I asked for. Arrived at 10:55am to an empty car bay and not a soul in the office. Waited around until around 11:15am before leaving. Odd experience.
Wes was great to deal with start to finish and their team took good care of me and my car, getting to the root of my cars problem. Originally the work would have taken the weekend, but they busted it out in the same day. Saved me a huge headache of dealing with borrowing a car for the weekend! Thank you to you all!
Went to Midas today for muffler repair work and they did a great job, quick, did a great job and at a very reasonable price. The manager Wes is a real nice guy and worked with me on the price, which I really appreciated. I highly recommend them for muffler work.
Just awful experiences. Their own employees will tell you to take your car somewhere else because of their mechanics experience.Good shop to do your oil change or tire patches but for ANY OTHER service look else where to both save time and quality of work done to your car .
Great experience! Stephen helped me out by explaining me all the different options I had to service my car’s brakes. He explained thoroughly the difference between all of them and helped me out to pick what was best. He is so genuine and he really cares about the customers. Very quick service without an appointment. I had a broken exhaust hanger and they were able to re-weld it and have me in/out of the shop in less than 30 minutes.

This was my first experience at Midas and I must say that Stephen McNeilly (Manager) made my experience very smooth. He was very polite and explained my services without feeling pressured to get other services. If youre hesitant to go here then I must say dont be!! Everyone here is nice and respectful. They also have great specials going on now.
This is a place that is friendly with quality mechanics. I had them trouble shoot my break vibration issue, and they fixed it nicely. I feel the difference between Midas and small shop is the promise of quality of work. If anything turns out not as expected or stated upfront, they are going to make it up for you.

Midas Rockville sold me on a synthetic oil change that cost $80 and would last 8,000-10,000 miles. After less than 4 months and less than 4,000 miles, my Check Engine light went on and my go-to mechanic (which is not Midas) tells me that the oil tank is almost empty and Midas probably didnt even do the oil change in the first place. And if they did, it was obviously not as advertised.
WONDERFUL experience at MIDAS. Had the service priced at three places and their price was the best! They were efficient, helpful, kind, informative and I really enjoyed working with them.
I went in for the $18.99 oil change coupon and was charged $30.50. The small print got me, yes the coupon said there MAY be other costs, but the $18.99 was what I expected and the manager should have clearly said.....the oil change is really $30.50, not $18.99. DO YOU UNDERSTAND? I would have left right away. Then he did not do the included tire rotation as stated on the coupon. I asked why and he basically said its because I did not need it because it was a front wheel drive car AND I have to request it first when getting the oil change. Are these guys doing this to ensure customers never in life go to Midas? So I paid 50% more, did not get all the coupon said I would get and was treated like a fool......bravo! Your marketing gurus made an extra few buck and ensured I never go back. My goodness is this why they hired the marketing team?I received a response below. Another chance to hassle and humiliate instead of taking direct action and refunding my money. As I said, this is their business model and they know what they are doing. Avoid this place. Avoid Midas. Unless you like to keep explaining yourself ad infinitum to different levels of management while they laugh each time you explain all the while expecting them to care.
I made an appointment & went in to get an oil change on a weekday morning. I had a coupon from the company website for the oil change that included a disclaimer that synthetic oil would require an additional charge; when I asked how much additional synthetic oil would cost the attendant stated that the synthetic oil change was full price and no coupon could be applied. I responded that I would stick with the regular oil change instead. They did begin work on my car on–time, but pretty quickly told me that the air filter needed to be changed and the automatic transmission fluid needed to be flushed & replaced. I stated that my parents had taken the car in to the dealer (its a Honda) and had all maintenance performed, including changing the brakes early so that I would not have to do so. It seemed odd that I needed to have over $200 worth of work done within about one month. He stated that I would also need to have several hundred dollars of additional work done soon as well because of damage to the rear tires—while he pointed at the tires, I did not see anything wrong with the tires. I attempted to call my parents, but could not get in touch with them. I finally told the attendant to just do the work if it needed to be done. Later, I went through all of the records & found that the work almost certainly had not been needed. When I got into my car to leave the front seat was almost totally reclined and leaves/dirt were present on the floor—annoying after paying so much money for the work to be done. Positive on–line reviews for this business caused me to take my car here, so I am taking the time to publish a review so that others may benefit from my experience & avoid the same.
Went in for an oil change and was greeted before I exited the car. Within a few minutes my car was on the lift and the change was done including wheel rotation in 20 minutes (I regularly have to wait hours at competitors). A few weeks later when I had an unrelated problem, I dropped by and they immediately ran my car through some quick diagnostics and gave me their opinion on the issue with no fee for the consultation. I plan to make this my go to shop for maintenance. Keep up the excellent service.
I had work completed on my van last month and the service was excellent. The techs and managers were friendly and explained everything to me in a concise manner.
This location is terrible and will try to rip you off. They tried to charge me $2,500 saying my car had a bad head gasket. I took it to the dealership which found nothing like that wrong with the car and fixed it just for the diagnostic fee of $180. During this process, they drove my car to a different location without telling me and left it unlocked with the keys in the car for me to pick it up instead of waiting for me to get to the other location.
Service was outstanding. Helped me with changing a tail light even though they were about to close the shop. The guys there were courteous, kind, and worked with the utmost professionalism.
I came in after 4 on a Saturday with my car making funny noises. Come to find out the altinator was about to go out. They were able to get the part sent down that day and even stayed a half hour after closing to make sure it was all fixed and ready to go for me! They were super friendly and acted quickly. I am for sure going to keep coming back here for all my car maintenance needs!

I have always had fast and courteous service from them. Sometimes even cheaper than going elsewhere.
Went in to have tires installed. When they told me I had limited options due to my rim size, I asked if they’d be willing to let’s me buy my own and just install them.After 3 days my tire was flat, and I had to fill the tire up and bring it back for inspection. The mechanic (with supposedly 15yrs experience) said there was nothing wrong. Within 30seconds of looking at it, I could see that air was leaking from the valve stem.They assured me that their mechanics (the same one who could spot what I did in 30seconds) didn’t bump or ding the stem, but would gladly do the service for me to replace it.Do not go here if you are looking for anything done to to your car. It’s not wonder they have 5 bays and only one mechanic working.

I have been to this location before for oil changes, brake work and such; my experience wasn’t bad, just neutral; its been a while since Ive been here and maybe theres all new people (I dont know). But, this last time around I called to make an appointment for an oil change, and the guy on the other end was not courteous with me and cut me off while I was talking. If theyre this disrespectful over the telephone with simple questions, I dont want to know what its like in person, with my car. Given the other bad reviews on here, I won’t be taking my car back to this location; I don’ t think I trust them with my vehicle anymore.

An absolute clown show. Made online order for tires on a Wednesday afternoon and they failed to process it until I called that Friday and waited on hold for 25 minutes. Told me they would be ready on the following Tueaday. When I arrived Tuesday morning, they told me they got the wrong tires (didn’t even bother to tell me) and needed another two hours for the correct tires to arrive but failed to mention that their original quote did not include labor. Labor alone doubled the price of the tires. Proceeded to leave and didn’t bother dealing with them anymore.Poor communication throughout the process and they don’t seem to care.
The services is grate and the person in the front desks help me a lot. They have good prices.
I had a whirring and grinding noise coming from the front of my vehicle. I called around to a lot of places Friday looking for someone who was open Saturday and was fully staffed instead of just doing oil changes and tire rotations. Brad reserved an 11AM appointment for me.I arrived on time and after some brief information and a test drive, it was diagnosed as a bad wheel bearing. Brad presented me with two options for the repair: a high end and low end. Repair time was quoted as 3-4 hours.90 minutes later, the car was done and I was back on the road. Excellent service and the staff will not BS you about anything extra. They also make sure that they have time to do the work, Brad turned away several people looking for an oil change because he wanted to make sure he could complete the work already scheduled.Needless to say, I will be back, but hopefully my car will not have issues for a long time!
Dishonest mechanics.Went in for an oil change, so of course they had to find something wrong with my car. Tried to say my alternator was bad and got hostile and aggressive when I challenged them. This place is not trying to fix your car their trying to steal your wallet. Have filled complaint with BBB and its not the first time theyve heard of issues.

Been going there for years but this last time is the last.
The check engine light in my car was on and but I knew the codes and basically what was wrong with my car, so I called up Midas to ask them how long it would take to fix it. They told me they couldnt provide any estimates unless I brought it in, which I did almost immediately, and they told me they would have answers for me the next day, so I took the bus home and left it there overnight. The following day I came back to the area, and they tried to charge me $120 to rediagnose what I already knew to be the problem, a charge which I promptly refused. However, being that my car was already in the shop and approaching the point where I would need a new oil change, I asked them to do this small service so the trip would not be a complete waste before I came back to pick up the car, which they said would only take a couple of hours, so I waited nearby. 8 hours later, I still hadnt heard from them, so I called. They told me the oil change would be done within the hour. I came back to the shop a couple hours later to give them extra time, and then they told me they hadnt changed the oil at all because their pump was broken. They wasted my entire day! Do not go here, they are completely unreliable, untrustworthy and undeserving of your business!
Dont book an appointment online because they will not respond to you!!!!!!!!!!! Very frustrating when you think you have an appointment and then call to confirm since they wont call you and find out they are booked for the day.....
