I started going to Mr. Tire a couple of years ago and have always had a great experience. John Hayes, the manager, is the best! He has worked with me to make sure that my older car in is tip top shape and stays in good working condition. I find him to be very professional and patient. I will always take my car to Mr. Tire on Rockville Pike. I recommend going to Mr. Tire and seeing John for all your car needs. 😀

Almost 4 stars but went with 5 because in comparison to Costco tires (nobody picks up the phone) and Walmart (never has tires in stock) mr tire wins… super friendly staff and quick turn around… only complaint is that I didn’t get the super helpful “oil change” sticker to remind me and their showroom could use a bit of updating or at least a comfy chair or two (marlo is right across the street!)

Efficiency and Integrity. Showed up at opening on a busy Sat morning with a flat tire. Because of the urgency of the situation (we were about to leave for a 10 hour drive), I was at their mercy, but John the Manager assured me they would take care of it quickly, which they did, and charged a more than reasonable fee (he could have charged me a lot more, I had no choice). I highly recommend and intend to use them again.

I should have read the reviews. I can’t believe I experienced the same as Ms. Harrison, I was scheduled for a 4:30 appointment. I arrived early because fix a flat wasn’t sealing the hole. I drove from Gaithersburg and ran out of air when I arrived. I have to put more air to make it to silver spring or Laűrel whoever has appointments. I was happy to have an appointment to purchase the 4 tires. Less headache instead of plugging them and buying used tires. Anyway, I was told, “we are behind, I could try to get you in tomorrow.” Why have an appointment calendar if you don’t use it? It’s such an inconvenience. I don’t have anymore fix a flat. Someone else mentioned another tire shop near by I will try them out

Waste of time took 7 hours to mount and balance 4 tires. Appointment was for 10am. Car went on lift 12pm finished at 4:08pm. My car has staggered wheels. I gave them the tire size on phone and when I got there. They put the front on the back and back on the front on the right side. I left and drove about a mile. Immediately getting over 5mph the car was shaking and rubbing. I drove it back and took 3 guys plus service manager to figure out issue. When I asked for additional discount I was told 25 dollars was best they could do. Customer service nor safety is a priority at this location. The real kicker was they couldn’t get tire on rim and said was because rim was bent. I had them put on old tire and schedule an appointment to get the “bent” rim fixed. I’m not the only person at Mr Tire that was left standing and waiting.

Service have gone down dramatically and employees have become very rude and treat paying customers as if we are not paying for their service.Always backed up and work as simple as an oil change can take up to 3 hours even with an appointment made days before.

LIARS! Made an appointment for my mother for 5pm today. When she arrived they said, “your appointment was at 2pm”. When my mother said that’s not possible because I scheduled the appointment after 2pm, they said well it’s in front of me on the computer screen mam! Now check out the confirmation photo below!! It says 5pm and that the appointment was scheduled at 254pm!! How dishonest can you be!! Imagine the quality of their work if this is what they tell customers to get out of doing their job! Customer beware!!!!

I originally had a confirmed appointment for four tires and an alignment for Saturday at 8:00 am. I arrived for the appointment and was told by the desk worker that I did not have an appointment (despite having a confirmation) but that he could service my car today.The guy at the desk then proceeded to try to upsell and add multiple packages to my invoice without my request even though I asked for no extra coverage or features. This was still included on my final bill.I then received a call Saturday evening from the guy saying that they only had one tech and he had to leave so I would have to get my car worked on Sunday morning. I received no calls on Sunday so eventually went to the location at 3:00 pm prior to them closing at five. The lady at the desk had assured me two times that my car was “next.”I watched as this lady canceled multiple customers appointments and rudely wasted the time of no fewer than ten customers while I waited. When I was finally told my car was done, I paid and exited to go retrieve it but was called back because they hadn’t done my alignment. The lady tried to make me wait until Monday but ultimately I was given my car.This is extremely rude, poor, and fraudulent service. The customer service personnel are luring in customers by telling them they can work on their cars then turning them away when they arrive.

Came at 8am for apointment.. 9am was atendet..10 am they told me dont have the right tires...11am brought the right one from another venue..12 am job was done

This place is a fraudulent joke. Overly priced parts, can’t do simple paper work, workers openly complain about their job to customers and are very unprofessional. Take your car to Performance Auto.

I took my car there this week. They missed a big hole in my tire. Said that there was nothing wrong with it. They took more than one hour just to put my wheel back. Went to quick tires at Randolph road and they found the hole in less than 15 minutes. Almost lost my tire, not to mention my safety because of their mistake. Take your business elsewhere.

This error is costly and could have led to injury or death-please ensure your quality control is watertight because of the critical nature of the work.

As I patiently waited, the Mechanic Matt (vehicle whisperer) came out and stated He needed to show me somethingI did my internal eye roll expecting to be up sold on something relating to the installation.But noooooo.. !My entire truck frame was ready to separate from my truck! Whaaaa ??? I had no idea. This truck has been on 2 lifts in the past 6 months and not one person said a word. (Things that make ya go Hmmm...)Moreover,Hugo service manger/coordinator/overall mensch, did not charge me a cent for the diagnostics for todays visit.There will be no other place to take my projected new truck in the future.Mr. Tire, you are my new holy grail.Kudos to Hugo and Matt.

Received a quote and made an appointment on their website for new tires, I also called them to confirm the appointment. When showed up, they said oops, sorry we do not have the tires that you want, and we cannot order them because we do not have them anywhere in stock. The alternative that I was offered was double the price of tires that I had selected so I left. Their front desk employee was friendly and apologized for inconvenience, but they wasted a few hours of my time. I dont like writing negative reviews, but decided to leave this so they fix their broken website and inventory system.

Hugo @ Mr. Tire has been amazingly helpful several times over the last couple years. Hes coordinated with my insurance company to make sure work was covered and correctly documented. Hes found the uncommon sized tires i need and made sure theres time to get them to the shop and on my car before I need it again. And he is just an all around patient and warm person to interact with.

Had a great experience at this location! Walked in on a Saturday morning to see if I could get an oil change. They were able to get me in immediately. Price was very reasonable and they even threw in a complimentary brake check and tire rotation. The staff was knowledgeable and patient with my questions. Would absolutely come back here again!

I am here waiting.....what a terribleservice. Takes ages before someone talks to you. The lady in the reception told me to pool it to one of the tracks and someone would talk to me. I found an agitated technician yelling at me to move it out. Confused, I went back to the lady at the reception who tried to put some air in my tier but in vein, she doesnt seem to be the technician. Nobody else was there to talk to me.I left disappointed by the unprofessional staff especially the agitated technician who told me that I was wasting his time for asking him a simple question of where I should pool the car. A terrible, terrible place. I will never never visit this place.

I had called in the morning to see if I needed to make an appointment before coming in and for pricing . I was told that for the service I wanted ( tire rotation and balance ) I can just walk in and they close at 5 ( since it was Sunday ) . I came in at 3pm and the first thing I was asked was if I have an appointment !! I explained I had called in the morning and was told I could just walk in . She said they have one or two tickets still needed to be done . Which is fine I understand they have other cars to work on what I’m upset about is I called ahead of time to be prepared with an appointment but was told to just walk in . Like now I wasted my Sunday afternoon coming in wasting my time and theirs .

Worst mechanic shop I’m Rockville had me waiting for an hour and a half after I had made an appointment 4 days before juts to tell me they didn’t have the right oil and filter for my car made me come back the following day just so they could tell me the same did not even apologize or offer some type of discount for wasting my time

My husband and I have taken our cars to your location at 708 Rockville Pike for several years and have always been pleased with the service, quality of work, and the overall helpful staff. One person, Hugo, stands out from all of the rest. Hugo is an obvious asset to the management of your company. He has always worked with us from start to finish, offering suggestions to get us on the road with the best possible experience. Hugo went over and beyond in our most recent experience at Mr. Tire, and we will be forever grateful.

I came in when they opened at 7:30. They checked me in..but no techs arrived for over an hour. While I have waited and waited, I have seen just awful service many times. I will never be back. Heck, I may go get my keys back and go somewhere else.

I made an appointment online for service the same day. They repaired my tire quickly and for a fair price. I recommend them for their speed and professionalism.

Friendly staff, fast and efficient service! I came in to have my battery tested. I needed a new battery and they replaced it and had me in and out quick. I’ve also had my brakes done here. Very happy with their service.

I am currently sitting in the waiting room, an hour after my appointment time and my truck is still sitting outside, untouched.When I arrived, the work authorization I was given to sign was $180 tototal ($45 per tire) to mount and balance 4 tires that I purchased on line. When I made the appointment, I was quoted $19 per tire, which would be $76 total before taxes or fees.I was then given a price of $29 per tire which is $40 higher than what I was quoted on the phone, but I agreed to it since I want this done today.So far, I am not impressed with the efficiency or customer service at this location. I cannot speak to the quality of the work at this time.I just asked how long it will be until the work on my truck gets started, and was told another 35 minutes.

Hugo and his team were super nice and friendly! I walked in to have my front tire replaced And I was out within an hour. Great service, highly recommend!

All I went to get done is the front brakes, left the car to get it done, got the phone call.Picked the car and few days later I went to another shop to check something else they found out that the front brakes was installed incorrectly.Which caused me to have it reinstalled again by the other shop and got charged twice.Once from Mr. Tire and the second time to get it reinstalled again by someone else.Not even talking about the high price for the parts and the installation.Not dealing again with Mr. Tire.

Needed to get two tires balanced. When in early on a Sunday. The girl couldn’t even move her head from facing her phone to acknowledge that we had entered the building. Tapped on the counter and she looked up and rolled her eyes. No Hi, Welcome or anything just do you have an appointment? We left and will not be back. Customer service is definitely not part of their training.

I came to this location for my oil change and my appointment was at 1pm. It’s takes approximately 15-45 to oil change. It’s 220pm and I am leaving now. There’s pretty much no point of making an appointment.. I’m never come back to this location if they don’t care of my time.

I honestly do not even want to give one star. I left my car there at 0900hrs and was told I will get a call soon with an estimate. They NEVER called me back. I had to go there at 1600hrs to ask what happened to my car. The lady behind the counter said here is the estimate. They never even called me with the estimate. The estimate said $1600. I couldnt believe it. I took my keys and brought my car to the Shell station. They just called me with their estimate and said $400. Looks to me they were trying to rip me off. I will never in my life come here again. I also will never recommend this place. They will try to rip people off if the people allow them.

This is my second time dealing with Mr Tires, and I must say the first time was a blast meeting the team. John the front line man is great and get you in there and on your way, I really can say they are really good people and they take pride in there work, I just picked my car up from them today for a second visit and I can say I’m very happy with the service and I’m going to keep coming back for there service. I went online and scheduled an appointment for Thursday at 10 - and arranged for the two tires I wanted to be there. Arrived Thursday at 10 - they had no record of my appointment and of course did not have the tires. The gentleman at the desk was not apologetic but said if I came back Saturday at 11 theyd have the tires. I arrived back Saturday at 11. This time they had a record of my appointment - but still no tires. I asked why they didnt call me to let me know that they hadnt received the tires. He said it doesnt work that way. Then why take my phone number? Poor customer service - they act like I am inconveniencing them when they are unable to acquire the tires they promised. I would never patronize these folks again. Nice piece of symbolism - right outside the office is a Mr. Tire pickup truck - with a flat tire!

Went to get my car serviced at Mr Tire today in Rockville and had a great experience. Everyone is super friendly, the coffee was surprisingly good which was great since my appointment was super early and decided to wait there. I have been to another location as well near my work and had a similar experience. Appreciate the great customer service and very reasonable pricing. Makes a huge difference.

I needed a replacement tire due to a puncture in the sidewall. Called and received a courteous offer to either make an appointment at 12 noon, or come in at 9:30 am and take my chances so I did. The manager said work load was heavy and it would be a 2-hour wait. The job was finished at 1:00 pm so that was 3.5 hours. Friendly handling of checkout by staff. Better to make the appointment next time. Still, Im retired and spent the morning reading at Wendys and walking so it wasnt a problem. Better price than my local gas station - I saved $35. Very pleased.

Made an appointment to visit the Rockville Mr. Tire on 2/8/2020 because my coolant light had come on a couple of times in the last two weeks. Had brought my dog with me...because I figured that whatever was wrong would take some time to repair and could take him for a walk.Manager Hugo was super friendly! He asked for basics on the car and when I shared I had my dog in tow, he said it was fine to bring him in to the waiting room (added bonus!). After mechanic Ken (also super friendly and helpful) took the car into the bay to assess, Hugo shared that my radiator was cracked (bad news!). Mr. Tire had a part which would be delivered in 20 minutes (good news) and that the job would take 4 hours to complete (eh...what can you do...better than having to bring it back again!).The price was reasonable and the job was done very well! As a woman going to a mechanic, there are times where Im leary and hesitant about being taken advantage of...with Mr. Tire, I didnt feel this way at all. This will now be the location I take my vehicle for all needed repairs...with my dog in tow :)

Every interaction Ive had with them has seemed to respect my $.While they of course charge money for their services, in getting quotes, theyve generally been right on the low end of the range of places to get work done/buy brakes, etc. Ive bought tires, had brakes done, and had general repairs completed at this shop.The only ding Id make at all, is that it could be faster. But, Im sure that could be said of any shop.Thumbs up for this place. Great, honest service and competitively priced.

I made an appointment online on Thursday for a service on Friday (Regular oil change and tire rotation). However when I was there, they said the appointment is not confirmed and I ended up re-schedule for Monday. Very disappointing since I was driving from DC for that. Funny enough, Ive got an email around 2 PM saying my 11 AM appointment is confirmed after rescheduling it.However, that was not the only problem. On Monday when I was there at 8:45 AM for my service (my appointment was at 9:00 AM) I was told that my service will take about 1 hour to complete. So I said I will wait and I specifically told them that they will need to reset the computer for service warning. After waiting for 1 hour and 20 min, the supervisor came to me and he said they have HUGE problem with my car.. I was scared once I heard this, you can imagine. Then he took me to the shop and he said his crew cannot release ONE bolt attached to a covering pad below the car to access and remove the old engine oil. I told them that how you guys did it last time? and he scratched his head and said OK we will try. 2 Min later they released the bolt. I was shocked and annoyed...So, long story short, I got my car back after 2 hours and 15 min of waiting (Originally was told it will take an hour) and NO ONE even said sorry for waiting. When I started the engine, I got the service check warning. So I ended up going in and tell them that they forgot to reset the computer. Then another 15 min for that and boom it was done. So disappointing and unprofessional.....

I usually do not write for any service review, but I should do this. I made an appointment online for 9:30 service this morning. I drove in 40 minutes to 708 Rockville Pike through heavy traffic. When service checking in, the person said my name is not on the appointment list and asked either wait or drop off. I said Ill wait then he said this will be a problem because two people ahead me. It sounds I made a mistake not making an appointment properly and felt he was little annoyed behalf of this situation. I showed him the confirmation email. Then he and I wanted outside checking my car to see what service I need. I just needed a wheel balance check and oil change. I have discovered that my steering wheel turns minor vibrating when driving over 60mph, but if I filled air in the front tire on passenger side, driving suddenly becomes fine and this happens every 3 to 4 weeks. I online researched and found that the problem may be minor air lick through valve stem and could be fixed by replacing it. The guy saw the tire and told me the tire has torn and refused any tire service because this is not safe. Tire has minor torn, but not seriously, because of unaligned wheel balance. I felt he was annoying and aggressive and tried extra business selling a new tire. I just needed a balance check and oil change service. Plus, I know the most of their tires are usually more expensive comparing online stores. I never buy any tire offline. I refused and walked away. In fact, I was really satisfied their services last couple years, but the person I talked I have never seen in previous services. I wonder they have hired new store manager. Now, I am looking for a different station, perhaps different brand auto service? Disappointed Mr. Tire.

Needed a tire patch after driving over a nail. These guys were terrific. Fit me in at the last minute, banged it out, and even honored a coupon for the cost of the repair. And all of that was between Friday night (after hours) and Saturday afternoon. Good work and great service.

Staff was very nice and helpful when I dropped the car off and on the phone. I even asked the salesman about upgrading the tires he found: initially I told him my car is old with a lot of miles and didn’t need 100k tires. Car is running great.

My experience at the Rockville Mr. Tire was awesome. Being someone who is new to the area it can be hard to find an auto repair shop that you trust and has great service.Well, I was fortunate to find this Mr. Tire. I admittedly was going to Midas at first but decided to go with the guys at Mr. Tire because they offered to add the discounts that can be found online without me asking. Midas never spoke of the promotion they had online and therefore I would have paid substantially more for service.The guy Rob at the counter was personable and explained my bill thoroughly. I will DEFINITELY go back here again!

So I went in about NOON time on a Saturday. ALL I needed to get done was get ONE wheel/tire balanced. The tire was not mounted to my car, I just brought in the tire and wheel so they wouldnt have to jack the car up. I told them all of that and they told me that it was a 2-4 hour wait because of the customers that were ahead of me!*Mind you I brought them just the wheel and tire and not the car*ALL I NEED IS ONE WHEEL AND TIRE BALANCED! THAT WOULD TAKE LESS THAN 5 MINUTES AND THEY WANTED ME TO WAIT HOURS FOR THAT!?I guess prioritizing customers isnt their thing. The time it took for me to roll the tire back to my truck and toss it in the back the tire and wheel could have already been balanced! I think Ill go else where from now on.

Staff here are honest and reputable. They have always been straight with me and I never felt like they were up selling me. I’ve been coming here for several years for tire changes and car maintenance. Even though it’s a 30 minute drive for me, I will keep on coming back for the fast and reliable service.

I needed to replace one tire but because I have AWD all of them needed to be replaced. I was helped by Hugo at the front desk... he was the only one running the place, very efficient. He was so knowledgeable, made me feel comfortable and he helped to recommend the best tires for my car. Overall my wait time was 2.5 hours... I got new tires, alignment and installation. I have recommended this place to all my friends and it’s conveniently located across the street from the Marlo in Rockville. Thank you for having a great front desk/manager!

I was just at Mr. Tire in Rockville today to fix slow leaks in 2 of my tires. Hugo at the front desk was professional and courteous. The location was extremely busy and he set reasonable expectations for wait time and took the time to answer all my questions. I was in and out within the time period and paid a very fair price. They are seriously awesome. I got a huge crack in my tire on the way to work and they were able to order me a tire and install it before I clocked out for the day. Everyone inside was super friendly as well. Definitely recommend.

They were able to fit me in last minute when my tire pressure lights came on and it turned out I had a slow leak in one of my tires. Fixed it up and got me back on the road in no time! Angela was very kind and helpful!

I have been a customer at this location for over 10 years. Service has improved tremendously after Hugo came on board to manage the store. Rudy and Eric are great as well. I am sure with some additional help at the front desk Hugo will be able to do an even better job.

Mr. Tire is the only place Ill go to for tires in Rockville. Robert was incredibly helpful with replacing all four tires. They only had one in stock but got the other three the same day. All of the front office staff are extremely accommodating and do great work. I did my homework on pricing for the tires and labor but the final total was significantly less than I expected (better than Costco)!

I have been using that store (708 Rockville PikeRockville, MD) for the past 12 years. Since they open. Service is better than ever. courteous, quick, and great quality! I am a customer for life!

Very knowledgeable staff. Both friendly and willing to help. I dont claim to know a lot about the world of tires, and both employees I spoke to were patient and happy to answer all of my questions. Plus- free tire rotations for 75,000 miles. Nice!

The online reservation system was easy to use and the team was friendly. I appreciated the time they took to explain everything they did and found when I went in for an oil change & check-up.

Our tire blew out on our way to the beach and we stopped in to get it fixed by the Mr. Tire in Rockville. Got an oil change done here last week and it was quick. The staff here are very friendly. Big shout out to Hugo at the desk for such a positive experience. I will be recommending all my friends/coworkers to come her for service.

A run around,now charges for mount and balancing which in years past were included in total tire price, quick service though just more $$

I had great service at this location yesterday for an oil change and tire inspection. The staff was friendly and helpful. It can be very busy and sometimes you have to wait, but thats the nature of auto repair. But I have been to another location and received inefficient, unhelpful service, so it was a wonderful surprise! Thanks!

The service is excellent, along with the staff. I feel like family when I go there which keeps me coming back. No job or task is too difficult. There’s nothing they can’t do which is appreciated.

The Mr Tire staff quickly fit me into their busy schedule for an oil change. The price was fair and it was done in under 20 minutes. Fernando, my tech, was honest and pointed our a possible wheel bearing issue.They were not a high pressure shop. I have out of state tags/plates but I am from MD (MOCO). I usually get a lot of BS when places see out of state tags.The prices quoted were fair. The work was excellent.Thank you.I will be back.

These guys are awesome. Got a flat on way to work and Hugo said “bring it”. No fuss, no muss. He did what he said he’d do when he said he’d do it. That’s rare these days and why I’ve been here before and will be back. Highly recommend these guys.

I got a nail in my tire an hour away from home and needed an immediate repair. When I called, they were friendly, honest and welcoming. They called my neighborhood Mr tire, verified my protection plan and fixed my tire in half the time they quoted me!

Great service

The manager of this branch used to be the manager of the Tires Plus across from Costco in Gaithersburg. He was a GREAT manager there, but some things happened at that store that forced him to leave. Their loss, Mr. Tires gain! I was treated professionally, with respect, and genuinely. My car was in and out as quickly as they were able. Car was returned clean and in the same shape as given. Some places theres grease fingerprints and stuff all over. Not the case here. Totally recommend!
