Me and a group of my friends decided we all wanted to get matching tattoos, while i was visiting Maryland from Tennessee. There was a total of 5 of us, we walked in as soon as they opened and the staff was all super friendly & we were accommodated immediately. Spencer Scott did my tattoo, it only took a few minutes. I am super pleased how it came out, He did great line work. The price was a little steep compared to other tattoo shops I’ve been to, but I would definitely return for another tatt. 😊

Staff was open to input and suggestions. Did what I wanted for my tattoo. Wasnt really what he wanted to do but the design I had was for my grandma who passed away. He did the design I wanted and it came out looking exactly as I imagined. Recommend checking them out if your looking for a traditional style tattoo. Thanks Spencer!

I’ve got two piercings from here (nostril and septum) in the last year, and I’ve also come back a few times for jewelry changes. The piercer Rachel is very friendly and helpful. They also have a great selection of jewelry!

I had a wonderful tattoo done by John Lupo. I had to go to a new tattoo shop because the previous artist I usually go to moved. At first it felt odd for me to go to a new tattoo shop (or any new place for that matter to me). The shop was welcoming and clean. John was very patient despite my own awkward moments. I had given ideas before my appointment and his artwork that came from what I wanted worked perfectly together and took every detail, I love my new tattoo. The pricing was very reasonable to me and he was great to talk to. I would come back again.

Trevor was great! :) Immediately had my stencil for me when I first walked in, and was detailed and quick with my tattoo. The rest of the staff was funny and had a great attitude as well. I’ll definitely be coming back for the rest of my tattoos :)

Today I went to get a piercing done, the female piercer was very rude to me before and during my piercing. On top of that, one of the male tattoo artists was bashing on someone who had just called to schedule a tattoo appointment by making fun of their tattoo idea. I would give this place a 0/10 if I could just based on their attitude.

I had a great experience with Rachel. I wanted 5 pieces of jewelry changed out and I purchased 4 from the shop (I brought in a piece for my nose ring). I had an appointment and I showed up on time. There were a couple people who came in at the same time as me (not sure of their appointment) and I did have to wait about 45 minutes, but honestly I was impressed at how well Rachel did at juggling all the people and trying to make everyone happy. I was in no hurry so the wait was no biggie. I left with 4 really pretty pieces of jewelry and Rachel helped me to make sure the whole look was cohesive and looked pretty together. I appreciated her professionalism, her ability to work well under the pressure of 5 guests all at the same time, and her ability to visualize the final look. She gave me solid recommendations and while their selection of jewelry is small, they were all pretty pieces. She was fun to chat with and did a nice job of adhering to Covid precautions. The shop is pricey but they charge what they think they are worth and thats OK with me. I am new to the area (from Cali) and Im really happy I found a piercing studio to call my own since I frequently change out jewelry. Thanks Rachel!!!

Recently visited the tattoo shop. It seems the shop likes phone calls and email more than showing up physically to schedule/discuss a tattoo. I attempted to discuss what I had in mind but the phone was constantly ringing and the employee/artist was always answering the phone. After I waited to talk to the artist the phone rang again and that seemed to have priority over me being there in person. I just felt my business wasnt as important considering I wanted multiple tattoos. I just got fed up and left. Go somewhere else if you like customer service that allow you to feel comfortable getting tattooed by them.

I got my nostril pierced by Rachel a couple months ago and she was very kind and informative through the whole process. Definitely makes you feel comfortable and at ease and answers any questions or concerns you may have (She even gives you her number incase theres some clarification you need on your piercings healing process and aftercare). The process went by quickly and Im very happy with my results, I highly recommend her!

I got my tattoo today at 12:30 by Cody. Cody is very sweet and professional. we were supposed to meet last week but I had to reschedule due to me being sick (not COVID-19) and he was more than happy to wait so that my appointment could be a fun experience. I was a little nervous but he made me feel very comfortable and told me at any point if we wanted to take a short break- he was more than happy to. I got a cover up and I absolutely love how it turned out. I got a beautiful elephant on my forearm with red flowers on the side. it was a cover up for a previous small tattoo. i’m beyond happy and will be referring my friends to him. I will also be coming to him for future tattoos. I highly recommend him. his work is great and his attitude is even better. thank you!!!!

I went in here to look for a new shop for art. After discussing my idea the kind lady paired me up with Jeff P. Jeff and I started to discuss ideas as I showed him the original image.I told him I wanted to to look similar, but different. He made it completely different and I dug it at first and went for it. Once I saw it on my leg it looked almost different then the sketch. It looked amazing!!! Jeff really took time to do amazing detail. I really cant wait to go back and get another!The shop was clean, inviting and everyone was friendly and professional. I would definitely return and highly recommend this place.

My daughter got her nostril and an industrial piercing and the process was easy and comforting.Rachael explained the procedures, healing time, what to expect and how to contact her with any follow up questions/concerns BEFORE the piercings began.She was very knowledgeable and did not want to rush the process. It was highly recommended that my daughter keep her mask from weighing down on her ears and to keep her hair up during the healing process.Very friendly, funny and courteous. I got a tattoo from here over a year ago. I tried to explain the style of tattoo I wanted but was talked over. My first mistake was not using my voice enough to convey the specific style. I was told the style recommended to me was actually what I was talking about. I ended up liking it and decided to get the piece in that style. The piece was a decent size, not small. My second mistake was not researching the artist before getting tattooed. The tattooing experience was not too bad and I left the shop happy. Once I got home I realized the tattoo was crooked and the lines did not match up at all. I was so embarrassed. It is not noticeable from afar but when you actually look at the tattoo it is strikingly noticeable how far the lines are off, especially in pictures. I wondered why the artist did not ask to take a picture or anything afterwards and I think the quality of the tattoo was the reason. I wanted to get the tattoo removed or covered but the artists would say they would have to completely redo the tattoo, resulting in a very high price. I still do not know what I am going to do about this tattoo and hate showing it in public. Either removing or covering it up I will have to decide. I wanted to go back to the shop but I was too embarrassed that I let this happen. It has taken me over a year to write this review. I had heard good things about this shop and was really let down.

This is the best place to get a tattoo or piercing in the Gaithersburg/Rockville area.

Negligent and greedy. I do not usually leave reviews especially if I do not have anything good to say, but this has been haunting me for years, and tattoos are permanent. I think of the man who did his job poorly instead of the sentimental meaning of my tattoo. $125 is a lot for something that took 2 minutes, I want to remove, and want to have redone. I walked in. I feel like I paid to be bullied and vandalized. The two women working were rude. I am generous with how much I will spend because I know tattoos are permanent. I believe the tattoo was overpriced, but I did not want to argue. I felt rushed by the man who did my tattoo, and I accepted where he placed the template even though it was about two inches more outward from where I wanted it. I was not happy with the writing (it was far from exact), and there is a disconnect in one line (like a dot separated from the straight line. I did not correct him, which was my fault, but I hate to blame myself and have had better experiences elsewhere. I was not happy with their customer service, or his work. Every day it bothers me. I am sorry.

I originally went in for a tongue web piercing. After Rachel took a look at it she informed that she wasn’t comfortable with piercing it and explained why. I appreciated her honesty, I would rather have heard the truth then paying for a piercing that wouldn’t work out for me. She checked again just to really be sure and ended up with the same feeling. She told me I had the perfect lip for “smiley piercing” so that is what I ended up getting. Rachel was super friendly from the start and explained everything to me from the piercing process to the jewelry sizes. She was joking around the whole time and just really puts you at ease. If I could give her 10 stars I would. I have NEVER had as amazing of a piercing experience as I did with her. I 120% recommend Rachel for any of your piercing needs. She really knows her stuff! (I also must mention that all the staff was very friendly and pleasant to be around)

My experience was fantastic. Spencer did both forearms for me and took my ideas and ran with it. He was great both as an artist and as a listener.

I took my 16 yo in for multiple cartilage piercings. The shop was clean, the staff wonderful, polite and professional. Rachael was amazing with my kiddo, providing guidance and insight to help her choose wisely. Top of the line all the way! Def going back and recommend them highly.

John Lupo is the damn G.O.A.T artist!! My boyfriend & I came in looking to get a very meaningful matching tattoo of our 3 dogs and he was able to sketch us all three dogs on the spot!! We both were able to get our matching tattoos the same day which was amazing. The tattoo came out PERFECT!!! I definitely recommend John for your next tattoo. Also the staff is very friendly and welcoming.

I got my nostril pierced by Rachel today. She was absolutely amazing. This was my second time going to Rachel. Sometime last year she helped me change my jewlery from a previous shop. She was very patient & informative. She had no issue moving the mark for my piercing about 5-6 times. & she also had no issue changing the jewlery when I decided it was too big for me. The piercing was quick & as least painful as possible. If I could give her 10 stars, I would. Thinking about going back to get the other nostril pierced.

First of all, my tattoo (2 sessions - 6 hours total) is amazing. The quality of the work is one of the best.My issue...is the customer service and sloppy management of the location in general.I own a business specifically in marketing to clients. I know a few things about customer service and business transactions.The 1st visit: went very well. Spencer (my artist) did a fantastic outline for my shoulder peice (which cost $650).The 2nd visit is where problems started...I had my last appointment on 8/25. I emailed to reschedule due to a last minute business trip on Sunday. 48 hours prior to my appointment. I did not specify a date or time.I emailed Spencer back asking if there was time available 9/7 in the evening. He said yes, but we did not confirm a time at all.I called Monday to learn that I had been placed for a 6pm slot without confirmation from the customer. Proof is attached.I told them to schedule me tomorrow. The receptionist says Spencer has a 430pm available. I agreed.I came in 425pm, and was addressed by a receptionist Ellen who told me I have to pay AN EXTRA $300 because I reschedule 3 TIMES within 24hours of my appointment.The first reschedule = 2 days prior! (The owner below stated within 24 hours is the cut off)The 2nd reschedule = I DIDNT EVEN CONFIRM A TIME!(Which there is an email chain. I have the screeshots)There was no 3rd reschedule.I called my husband because due to confusion and we had a 3 way conversation with the receptionist, Ellen. Instead of looking to solve a major problem, like a surprise $300 upcharge, Ellen became emotional and responded emotionally to my husband on the phone who obviously isnt excited about a last minute upcharge.After her emotional back and forth with my husband who has also paid $1200 for his tattoo, she turns to me ...And tells me....YOU KNOW WHAT, YOURE NOT GETTING TATTOO SO YOU CAN LEAVE! And proceeds to talk bad about my husband IN FRONT OF ME. (Why would someone elses actions fall on me? I didnt say anything unprofessional. How is that fair to kick me out for what someone else said?)I paid the extra $200, because I chose to finish my tattoo and at least get what I paid for, but I wont be returning.Just to rehash the main points of the problems:1. Rescheduled the first time 48 hours prior via email.2. They treated me poorly because of someone elses actions. I operated with respect, and tried to seek clarification with Spencer.3. Ive been banned because of someone elses actions. I personally did NOTHING wrong. Look at the security footage.4. The issue was being overcharged (which was fixed)5. Lack of accountability for their mistake in scheduling me for an appointment I never confirmed and blamed me for wasting a slot on their schedule. (Which the owner did adress and apologize to this review)6. Me not answering my phone 2 hours before my appointment is not a valid point in this argument at all. A good protocol would be to have the receptionist address potential future problems during the phone call to reschedule....NOT last minute right before the appointment.If you are reading this, I am only describing my personal experience. Im sure many of you have very different experiences but this one is mine.I am not confused. I am not upset.I wanted to have a cordial tattoo session and a cordial end. I took the higher ground that night when I left to ease ruffled feathers.But I know and all the readers know that the situation should have been handle much better. If it were me... I would have been open to potentially being wrong and apologized to the CUSTOMER for being wrong and then proceed with a plan on how to move forward with a positive experience.Ive attached the screeshots for proof so you know Im being 100% transparent.

I went there back in May 2018 to get my first tattoo. Nick is the one who did it and almost a year later, it still looks amazing. I decided to get a piercing and Rachel was so wonderful. She has a lot of energy and makes you feel so comfortable. They offer great tips for aftercare and even followups. Im most definitely planning on going back in the spring. The prices did not surprise me because this is not the kind of thing you would want to do for cheap. You dont just pay for a tattoo or a piercing but also for the service. Every time Ive gone there the staff was so kind and helpful. I 100% recommend this place.

They are fantastic!I went here to get my daith and conch piercings back in November, and Rachel was amazing. She explained everything I needed to know (including things I should probably already know!) clearly and was incredibly personable.Did I mention shes super understanding? The ball on my conch earring fell off yesterday and I couldnt find it (and was unable to get the post back in even if I had found it). I stopped in and Rachel took care of it quickly and easily. I got my nose re-pierced at this place. It was a great experience from start to finish. Rachel put me at ease right away and it was over in no time. She is awesome at what she does. I will go back one day for another tattoo or who knows maybe another piercing.

I went for a piercing and had such a great experience! Rachel made me feel so comfortable and the experience enjoyable. Went to see Rachel to take out 2 of my my dermal implants. One was completely swallowed by my body and really lodged in there. I was not expecting this to be fun.... but man was I wrong! Rachel is hilarious. She made me laugh the whole time.She let me know exactly what she was doing and made sure I was comfortable throughout the removal. She obviously knew what she was doing because even after 45 minutes of her stabbing me with a variety of sharp objects (that swallowed dermal anchor was really stuck), the place where my dermals used to be is not even sore or tender! Rachel definitely has magic piercer hands.Taking dermals out is not exactly pleasant, but a part of me wanted the whole thing to last a bit longer because shes so fun to talk to!On a side note, I went there during COVID (late July 2020). They were taking extra care. Letting literally only one person in at a time to the store. They measured my temperature and made me sign a document stating that I dont have any symptoms.

Reasonably priced for the quality of work. Always get what I want from the artists, who are speedy and professional. Highly recommend

I’ve gotten all my piercings here after having learned the dangers of guns. Their piercer, Rachel, is amazing. She takes the time to help soothe my nerves for every piercing she has given me. She’ll answer all my questions and not sit there going “are you done yet...?”. The shop itself is very clean, organized, and has good vibes. When it comes to the pricing, I feel you get what you pay for. This shop may be more expensive than going to the mall, but you won’t get anyone with as much knowledge and skill as here.Truly great place. Rachel is awesome, granted we do have the same name.

These guys are very rude and unprofessional. My daughter was there at their shop and one of the staff was very rude. When my daughter told him that she is not interested after the unprofessional argument she asked for her documents back and they didnt return complete docs copies back to her.Train your staff on customer service it will help you in your business growth.

Everyone is super friendly, its a comfortable atmosphere, the prices are on par with what I had anticipated, and the artists are very skilled. I got a custom piece done on my left shoulder blade and rib cage. It is my first tattoo so I didnt really know what to expect, but Deirdre talked me through it all, and my tattoo is everything I wanted and more! She is very detail oriented and focused on creating high quality art. Her linework is amazing; I got a ton of compliments just on the outline! I cant recommend Deirdre highly enough. Shes absolutely awesome. I wont be going to anyone but her. :)

I only went in the store to purchase a spare nose stud and they were really rude about it. They seemed really inconvenienced by the whole transaction even though no customers were there. I would b super anxious to let any of them tattoo me. Also a small steel nose stud was 25$.I follow a lot of their artists on IG (along with other tattooers in the area) and they are not really good for what they charge. I would go to Bethesda Tattoo, they are much more pleasant and some of their artists are insanely talents.But honestly as close as we are to Baltimore and New York, I would make a day trip to a better artist and a better shop

I love my first tattoo. It looks better than anticipated, done by Matt. Very fair price and amazing, talkative and professional staff with a very clean work environment that I could trust getting a tattoo in. Will go again in the future for my second tattoo.

Just got a half sleeve done on my forearm and I couldnt be happier! Sir Eric Wilcox was my artist and he did an exceptional job. Very passionate about his work, and extremely neurotic when it comes to lettering and words, so you dont have to worry about him making a mistake. The shop is very clean (brand new needles and ink used for every patron), and the staff is friendly and professional. They care about making sure you leave happy, and will make sure youre absolutely sure about what you want before they begin. I Highly recommend!

I got a 2 x 2 tattoo and the charge was outrageous, with that being said I do love my tattoo. I probably wont be going back again

I just got a daith piercing and Rachel did a wonderful job. She took her time explaining everything and made me feel very comfortable. The place is soooo clean and the artists here are so welcoming. I’d definitely come back for more piercings and would highly recommend to others.

Got two tattoos here and I LOVE them. Planning on getting another one soon. Very clean and professional. They do a great job and the ink hasnt faded like it has on the tattoos I got at another place.

Have had a couple things done here and its not bad. But they lost me when they tried to charge me 120 for a one inch letter. EXTREMELY overpriced.

I got my rook pierced, Hannah was super nice and she was really quick.The place was really clean. I was charged about $67 for my peircing, I think its a pretty good price. No complaints at all. Definitely recommended.

Ryan Clarke did an amazing job. And Cherryworks piercing is absolutely fabulous. I cant wait to go back.

Couldn’t recommend a tattoo shop any more highly than I do Tattoo Paradise. I’ve got two pieces done there - by two different artists - and I could not be more pleased with their work. I Highly suggest Tattoo Paradise to anyone who asks!

Only one person (friend) allowed back it took them 45 minutes to get prepared for the tattoo even though we already had a consultation. No videos, no pictures they were sort of nice, and this place is way over priced, they will charge you almost double the price of any other tattoo place around here.

Starting price is too high. High prices for small amount of work put into their tattoos. Paid over $100 for a letter tattoo that’s thumb size. Overall, it was my first tattoo at Tattoo Paradise, wouldn’t recommend it for a small tattoo.

You can get piercings and tattoos. The staff is very polite, knowledgeable and friendly.

Got my first tattoo by Deirdre and I absolutely love it. Gary, at the front desk, was super chill and funny as well as very open to feedback on my stencil. I was extremely nervous about getting the tattoo which Deirdre handled in stride. She talked me through the whole thing and was so sweet. People who think the place is “overpriced” obviously dont understand how talented all the artists are. As the sign in the shop says “Good tattoos arent cheap, cheap tattoos arent good.” I love my tattoo and will definitely be coming back for more.
