His store has wide selection and I was able to get what I want (foreign-sourced wood flooring) in the time of covid 19. Alis crew came on time, diligently removed old glued down wood floors without damaging the wall. Ali responded quickly during and after flooring installation. They did a wonderful job in my house!Updated February 2019:This is the third job Ali/Floor Concepts and Design did in my house. This time it was a full bathroom upgrade. I couldnt be happier! They changed linoleum to tile and built a new corner shower to replace the old shower cabin. Ali was always available for advice on design and colors, and accommodated my adjustments along the way. All work was done within a quick timeframe, as promised! (See pictures.)--------June 2018:Floor Concepts and Design replaced carpet with LVP on the second floor of my town home. Ali, the owner, patiently helped me select the right flooring material. He has a diverse range of materials in his store. He showed me more options than another company I was exploring. He helped me match the new flooring for the second floor to the existing flooring on the first floor and the stairs. Alis offer was less expensive and for the job done faster. The other estimate I got was for 3 days and it was more expensive even after a promotional discount. Ali was not pushy and I just got a sense of him as an honest, trustworthy guy.Three workers (Melvin was in charge) completed the work in one day as promised! They arrived at 8 am, left at 5 pm. They kept dust to a minimum, and when they finished, they cleaned up after themselves. They connected the shoe molding to the baseboard with a caulk with such precision, that it looks like one solid white baseboard! My new floors look perfect. I am extremely pleased, because the work was done superbly, I was treated with patience and respect, and I got a very good price. I want them to do other work in my house.

I found Floor Concepts & Design on Google and met Ali when he came out to give me a quote. I had three companies come out to give me pricing but I chose Ali and his company because he is incredibly respectful, fair, and easy to work with and I would go as far as to call him an artist in his craft. He took the time to educate me, which helped me make better informed decisions and avoid future disappointment. I was able to meet him once during one of my visits in the area and I trusted him with full access to my house until we made the move a month later.Prior to moving we had our second floor carpets replaced with beautiful oak hardwood as well as refinishing our grand staircase. This was not a simple installation as it required a perfect match to the 22 year old hallway flooring as well as blending it into 4 large rooms with the master suite having several angles and turns within the layout. You cannot tell where the hallway ends and the new floor begins, it is beyond flawless! (and I am a perfectionist) The grand staircase was completely revived, it is now picturesque. Ali made what would normally be a very stressful situation, the easiest part of our move from 8 states away. His team was more than respectful. When we planned to replace our carpet with hardwood, we visited/quoted almost every flooring store in this area, Floor Concepts & Design had the best price in town, especially comparing to another flooring store 0.1 miles away. They spent two and half days doing the installation to ensure good quality while other contractors estimated finishing in one day. Amazing job--from start to finish--Ali is the greatest when it comes to the hardwood floor. Just what you want in a home improvement company--locally owned, original owner and very reasonably priced. We received quotes from different companies and Floor Concept & Design was the most reasonable. We went to their store/showroom in Rockville met with Ali, selected the flooring type and discussed pricing. Ali was very helpful and knowledgeable in helping us pick flooring. He recommended Luxury Vinyl plank for floors in the kitchen and bathroom. This recommendation solved a problem we have had concerning what type of floor to use in the kitchen and bathroom. We needed flooring that would look great, be comfortable to walk on and resilient. We were amazed with the LVP flooring and plan to install it after the hardwood floor installation. Once we agreed on pricing for the hardwood installation, Ali told us that it would take a few weeks to have our hardwood floor installed; however, he indicated that it could be sooner if they had a cancelation. In less than a week he contacted us and sent the crew a week later. The company has its own in house workers (no contractors) and they did all the work and they are extremely talented. The workers were punctual, hard workers and took pride in their craftsmanship. They were polite and respectful in our home as the floors were being done. Ali came over and made considerate suggestions regarding new wooden floors we wanted installed in two rooms. Since one of the rooms needed new flooring because of an air-conditioner leak, we had to have the ceiling repaired first and Ali recommended an excellent person for the job, which he was able to do within the week.After that, two of Alis employees came by and installed the floors within a day. They installed engineered tiles to replace carpeting in 3 rooms. The two men who did it were very very efficient and professional and finished the job in one day. They moved all the furniture, took out the carpet, laid the tiles and moved the furniture back. They did an excellent job and the floor looks very good now. We are extremely satisfied.

THE BEST CARPETING & HARDWOOD FLOORING COMPANY: I wanted to share our experience with this company with the rest of the users. We custom-built a house in Potomac, MD and spent substantial amount of money in construction. Our goal was to hire a flooring company to provide the best quality material and workmanship with the best prices. Ali and his team worked very hard and completed the flooring in our 9000 square feet house on time. Their design was superior to many houses that we have seen in our neighborhood. We received many good comments from our neighbors about how beautiful our hardwood floors are. His installers did a great job. After 3 months, the bamboo flooring began to rise in a couple of places due to the increased summer humidity. Ali promptly came out himself, and then sent out his team again to resolve the problem at no charge and with no questions. I highly recommend Ali.

Having seen their dedication to doing the job right, I also contracted them to paint my houses interior. They worked miracles in both departments. The floors and walls now look new.The crews were always prompt, courteous, and thorough. I came across Ollie at Floor concepts just driving by rockvilke pike . He was so patient and helpful with me choosing my wood floors. He spent quality time with me discussing the pros and cons of the different options. Of wood vs tile. Etc. The installation was flawless and very organized. The Workman were very neat and cleaned up after themselves. His pricing was very very fair and actually less then his competitors. I highly recommend Ollie and floor concepts. My project was a huge project and very challenging. I could not just have any ordinary guy working on my floors. It was over 2000 sq feet of new floors. He was very professional and skilledftim start to finish for my high end job in Potomac MD.

My fiancé and I are very satisfied with Ali’s service. He explained the pros and cons for choosing different types of wood, styles and colors, etc. We got very professional advices that eventually helped us selected a stylish maple with a unique color. The quality of installation is also good cuz Ali had done great jobs of controlling engineering quality. We had a little miscommunication issue during the installation. Ali helped us to install hardwood floors that we bought from a flooring company separately, during a recent house renovation. He was helpful at every turn, to make sure that we were getting the right wood from the supplier, to intermediating when things would go wrong with the supply (even though that wasnt in his job scope), to fixing small issues to ensure that everything was 100% to our satisfaction. Ali also invested countless hours educating me on the flooring industry and help us to navigate often times confusing terminology and options.
