Prepared to be BLOWN AWAY.This place is spectacular. You can do build your own dozen. Like WHAT??? That is AMAZING. Have a very particular group of friends or coworkers? BAM. SOLVED.

Unlike most, I prefer my Duck Donuts after they have cooled down. They have gotten rid of the paper ordering form which makes things more complicated when you get to the counter as there are a million options. Not sure if thats just a Covid change or not. Im guessing it is so that you dont use the pencils. There was a sign on the door that said to try their fall flavors but once inside, there was nothing saying what the fall flavors were. But the donuts were 5*, made quickly and were quite good, even a day later!

I dont do donuts often, but when I do, I go here. Customize any way you want. Some like sprinkles, some glaze, some icing, but bacon on a donut is the pinnacle, I like it with a little lemon icing. If Im feeling a little frisky, maybe I do coconut. The donuts are not a full blown religious experience, but close. My only challenge to DD is step up the espresso game. Do that and maybe I see Jesus.

I had never been here before, but was really impressed at thewarm and fresh donuts that they were able to put out so quickly.They probably have at least 50 flavors spread across a bunch of different series, such as OBX originals, Popsicle assortment, cheesecake assortment, campfire assortment, mothers day assortment, etc.The magic is that they make them on demand and can make anything you want. The only caution I add is that the flavors are no where as potent as what you would get at most other gourmet donut shops, which is why theyre not five star.I ended up getting a dozen, which was their signature assortment, but I replaced the the flip-flop, the beach, and coconut island bliss with three donuts from the cheesecake series: New York cheesecake, key lime cheesecake, and peanut butter cheesecake. Again, the flavors of these cheesecakes were very subdued as to what I expected, but everything was still tasty.The folks that run this location were also very friendly!

This was a off chance find. I noticed it and decided to take a chance. Great doughnuts on demand. The flavors are light and not heavy. The price will make some wince but it is worth the treat every so often. Not everyday. Service is efficient and there are safety precautions in place. Must wear a mask to enter.Two drawbacks are.... The parking is a small so park further down if the spaces in front are full. Worth the exercise to get there. Based upon how much glaze or icing is added to your doughnuts after you receive them, I experienced some of the doughnut being separated and left on the bottom of the box if you allow it to cool before eating. On my second trip I noticed an employee allowed them to cool a bit before placing it in the box and that solved the problem. No issues scraping up the bottom of the box but some might not wish to do so. Again, great doughnuts that are a mix between a yeast fried doughnut like Krispy Kreme and Dunkin Donuts with cake doughnuts. Didnt think it was possible to have a hot glazed doughnut with a light fried outer crust and a light cake doughnut interior. But this is one that location that aims to bridge the two doughnuts worlds. Worth the drive and worth the trek and cost!

Duck donuts never disappoints me! Being the bacon fiend that I am its a must to get the maple bacon donut and croissant sandwich with bacon and maple glaze. They also have two new special limited time donuts, apple pie and pumpkin streusel ❤

Best. Donuts. EVER.Hands down no questions asked. We got half a dozen, super fresh and still warm. I always get a bacon caramel one tho, personal favorite.

The fact that their donuts are always warm/hot is what does it for me all the time.

Although it’s a bit pricey, I think it’s worth it. The donuts are made fresh to order. There are so many flavors to choose from! We haven’t had a bad one yet!! Maybe next time I’ll try the milkshake or ice cream! Super recommend these!! I will say, they are pretty sweet, so if you don’t have a sweet tooth, get one without the jelly, syrup, or sugared items.

Really good place to come get amazing donuts and a side of diabetes.Seriously though, these donuts are amazing. Some flavors are regulars, others are limited time seasonal flavors. They also offer donuts and ice cream .Theyre completely customizable as well. Want a chocolate donut with strawberry and vanilla swirl? They can do it .A donut covered in Oreo cookies, then topped with caramel, you can do that too. (Seriously, diabetes )

I love duck donuts. My favorite is the cinnamon sugar, and Ill probably stick to just that in future. The others I got were Oreo, chocolate with strawberry and strawberry with chocolate. They were all good, just more sugary than I personally like. The cinnamon sugar one I could probably eat 4 of when fresh, so I think Ill order just 2 next time so I dont overdo it, lol.I almost didnt stop because they didnt look open, so definitely check the site rather than just looking. Its definitely worth the stop!

This was my first time trying these donuts and Im definitely not disappointed! Theyre a little less dense than Fractured Prune as a result they sit in your stomach a little better. They have plenty of flavors and tippings so Id imagine they have an option to satisfy almost any taste craving. Order to delivery time is relatively quick given every donut is made to order. Staff is pretty friendly. Ill. Definitely be back for more.

Nothing compares to Duck donuts in taste, flavor and quality. I am a regular and I go with various assortments each time. It is like a never ending list of combinations. Always warm and fresh. Since COVID I do curb side which is fine. Before, I used to eat inside. Limited seating but still good. They have free ice cold water if you get too much sugar.

Freshly made, crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside! So many toppings and glaze combinations to choose from. Highly recommend.

Warm, sweet yumminess! This is the Chipotle of donuts. You pick your glaze, your topping and your drizzle. The donuts are cooked and topped on-demand. They are best eaten warm...but you can bring them home and warn them in the microwave (directions on the box). We havent tried this yet, but you can get ice cream on your donut... and that looks amazing. The staff at the Rockville store was very helpful, professional and cheery.

So Duck Donuts is not the type of place that you stop into for a quick dozen. They are made to order as you wait. Be patient friend, they are warm and delicious when they hand them over. Honestly, this morning I was in and out in under ten minutes and there were at least three people ahead of me. Totally worth it.

Almost unlimited flavor combinations, made to order, hot and fresh doughnuts. The doughnut, just plain, by itself, is truly delicious enough. However, if you are really trying to go all out, please, get a maple bacon with the salted caramel. Yes, it might be a heart attack waiting to happen but it is sooo good. Its a makes a very nice once-in-a-blue-moon type of dessert.

Why you close so early?? I don’t understand. Donuts are also good at night time.

Recommend displaying the variety somewhere other than the counter. Didnt have a chance to look over the selection before ordering; someone else was trying to do the same. I felt rushed which is annoying; I like to take my time at a new place. Would return and recommend.

Id love to give a great review, but after spending over 20 minutes trying to place an online order just to receive an error message that the billing address for my credit card was incorrect (it wasnt), seeing multiple attempts to charge my credit card (even though the billing address was allegedly incorrect?), and trying to call an inoperable phone line to get the issue cleared up and place my order, Ive gotten nowhere and nothing.

The donuts are delicious and served warm. There are a ton of flavors that should suit any palette.

There was a day when they had an order for 50 dozen and had the door locked so they could get them all ready. The owner saw me and brought me my normal 3 donuts so my body wouldnt go into shock! This was the first time I have been here, and I was a bit skeptical as my first love is Krispy Kreme. This is a MUST try. Their donuts are not the consistency of Krispy Kreme. I would say it has the body of a cake, so more cakey than doughy.Either way I loved it. We got a dozen and I highly recommend the white icing with raspberry drizzle. Sehr Lecker!!!I didnt do this on this visit, but you can also build your own. If you have not had the opportunity be sure to stop by Duck Donuts in Rockville.

Wonderful little spot to grab a fresh donut and some coffee. We were waiting at a nearby business one morning and took a walk around to kill time, stumbling on this shop. We went in looking for the donuts and discovered that they were all made to order and there was a wide variety of options. We each ordered two and were impressed.Growing up, everyone came by when you saw the hot and ready sign on at Krispy Kreme--at Duck donuts every donut is hot and fresh, every time. The only downside is the glaze can be a little leaky. As far as the donut itself, it was cakey, but much lighter and fluffier than the ones at Dunkin Donuts. They were sweet, but not as overwhelming as Krispy Kreme donuts get. I still fine Shipleys in Texas to be the best, but Duck Donuts was outstanding.With the donuts hot and the glaze runny, those with a glaze can be a bit messy. The warmth is also enough to make any sprinkles start to go soft and dissolve some. The cinnamon sugar coating (non-glaze) was very good and highly recommended. The strawberry glaze had synthetic nostalgia.

Can’t say enough good things about this location of Duck Donuts. Great service, fast preparation, and yummy yummy donuts. They always come out so pretty you can’t help but take pictures😍 my favorite is the maplewood glazed with bacon, its hard to eat only one😝

I love a fresh donut, but not a huge fan of the made-while-you-wait (10-15 mins) fad. Tiny “menus” you can’t see until you’re at the counter guarantee a regrettable panic order experience. My peanut butter, bacon and salted caramel donut was pretty good, but also kinda tasted like the flu. Paid for a cup of coffee at 10:30am and when I informed the manager that all 3 drip containers were empty he simply said, “hmm” and took them away.

The staff is awesome! They are very accommodating and extremely nice! Excellent customer service!! And the donuts are soooo delicious!

I have always been a loyal customer to Duck Donuts. We visit the Williamsburg, VA. location everytime we visit the area. The Rockville location is a bit closer and is just as great. The donuts are fresh as they fry them right after you order and there is a huge flavor selection to choose from including a customized option. The prices arent too hard on the wallet and the service at this location is courteous and friendly.

Probably the best donuts that Ive had. The staff was nice. The place was very clean for the amount of people they were catering to. Had to wait 30 minutes to get my donuts. Was it worth the wait? I think so, but then again I didnt have any other plans that day. Plan for at least an hour of your time to get donuts and eat them on the weekends. I havent tried this place on the weekdays so I dont know how the wait is.

Melt in your mouth donuts! The recipe tastes similar to a donut version of a funnel cake. They make it hot and fresh in the store, and customize every detail from topping to drizzle. Hands down best donut Ive ever tried.

Im almost exclusively a yeast-raised donut junkie, but now am a total convert to Duck Donuts. They are somewhere between a cake donut and an old-fashion. Its hard to imagine how a donut shop could set themselves apart from larger chains, but they have done it. In the store, you see the staff making the dough and frying it in front of you. The donuts are ACTUALLY made fresh for you, even in the afternoon. The dough is very soft and dense without feeling under cooked and has a nice crispiness on the outside. You can customize the donuts as much as you want. Good variety of toppings and unique sauces (e.g., marshmallow, salted caramel). Bring your family and friends to this place if you really want to impress them :)
