The Gaithersburg Garage Door technician, Julio, did an excellent job replacing the door’s broken spring. He is very personable, polite, and efficient. Since it was a single size door, he only had to replace one spring, and got the job done in 15 – 20 minutes. He knew exactly what tools and part he needed, pulled them from his truck, and went right to work to make the spring replacement. He also lubricated the door’s hinges. Great work!! I had an excellent experience with Gaithersburg Garage Door for replacing my 35? year-old door opener motor that was failing intermittently. The sales rep, Pete, sent an estimate within a day of my initial call. Scheduling, bdone by email, was easy--I sent them my general availabilty and they replied with several installation slots I could pick from. The tech who installed the new motor, Wayne, showed up on time and was pleasant, knowledgable, and professional. He told me approximately how long it would take and did the work well within that timeframe, including instaling a new keypad that I didnt have before. Then he showed me how the new door sensors worked, and also how to reprogram the keypad and a new remote if necessary. The new motor is so much quieter, its a joy. Their price was very fair, and the ease of the whole process was wonderful.

I need to amend my initial review that said Nelson was fantastic. Professional, friendly and very efficient. I originally called to have my spring fixed and was happy to learn that it was only a cable correction. I paid $195 for this. Less than 2 weeks later, my door was broken again and it turned out it was the spring. GGD insisted it was a brand new problem (even though my contractor had been here and advised the spring needed repair). GGD did not fix the issue the first time and was adamant this was a brand new issue and would only credit $95 of the original $195 in labor paid. Sadly, I bought the door from them and only they sell replacement parts. My advice- dont get locked into a company as it obviously impacts their focus on customer sat.

We have had such great experiences with Gaithersburg Garage Door over the years. When we moved in they installed our door and many years later the same technician, Julio, came to service it. Our door wouldn’t open one evening and he was here the next day to get us out! Highly recommended.

Gaithersburg Garage and Julio Ortiz saved me $600 and did a great job fixing my door. My garage door was broken and two other companies told me that I would need to replace the door (more than $1700) or a panel (more than $600). Another company said it was the opener and repaired it for $400, but when it stopped working again, they refused to come out and fix whatever it was that hadnt been fixed the first time. Julio came out (on time!) looked over the problem and quickly figured out that all we needed to do was replace the sensors ($55 plus the charge for the service call). He even reprogrammed our remotes. I highly recommend Gaithersburg Garage Door. Unlike the other three companies, they are honest and helped us finally fix the problem without buying a new door or opener.

Fantastic Experience. I couldnt be happier. They patched together my old door until the new one arrived. I left the garage door unlocked for installation and the install was done perfectly while I was at work. I came home to a really nice upgraded door all hooked up. I have used this company for years and really can recommend them. They are not a fly by night operation. Very professional and the business office is responsive too.

Wayne and Jordan were great. They arrived on time, were knowledgeable and polite, took the time to answer all questions, and did a very professional job of installing the new garage door.
