Nothing special to talk about. It has music equipment. The sales people in Pro Audio seem like theyre there to collect a check. Not the atmosphere I remember from years back where the sales people had a love for music and acted like they wanted to be there.

Great place to meander and try various instruments. A sales person, Brian Carroll, was extremely helpful and patient. Bought a good starter bass for son. He seems to like it, making him practice😂 Highly recommend.

So awesome. Ive bought several guitars here, new and used. Also went for lessons a few years back. Just a fun place to visit, shop and hang out.

Utterly disappointed, flabbergasted and disgusted at the lack of integrity. My media director and I purchased the Presonus Mixer board and to our surprise as we drove 5 1/2 hrs to pick this board up. We performed a function test to check the board and upon inspection, we notice several faders missing, and the board was not sending the signals out for sound. BLUF (bottom line up front) Dont post images and the condition of the product online is good when infects its NOT. It’s called a lie. Future customers, please exercise caution from purchasing from this lemon lot of products. Yes, Im mad, and rightfully so as I drove the distance to purchase a board I thought to match the description of what was stated ONLINE.Mad, Retired Marine VeteranUpdate 1 Nov, 2021The Customer Service is outstanding as the each person who answered the phone were adamant about finding the solution to the above listed complaint. Guitar Center has some outstanding employees, but the issue with the equipment leaves me still at pause.

Staff are rude and will do anything to not have to deal with whatever problems youre having. I wanted to refund an order for an electric bass because we were already a month ahead of the estimated delivery, with no indication that the shipment issue is being addressed. Ive been either left on hold for hours or just brushed aside with the promise that theyll look into it and call me back. When I requested a refund I was told that I couldnt be refunded because they hadnt received the instrument from the shipment (I had ordered it to ship to the store). Apparently, they dont understand that when you pay for something youre actually suppose to receive what youre paying for. Everyone that works there is most likely just hoping that someone else will take care of it. They do not care about you. Horrible experience, never again.

I brought a vintage guitar in to sell they were helpful did a fair appraisals they bought the guitar gave me a check right then

I remember this place from coming here in highschool. Still a very cool place to visit. The outside is pretty rough but inside its like a shiney playground.

Special thanks and kiddos to the tech lead Connor who went out of his way to provide an excellent service and experience for my daughters guitar. It arrived damaged but the replacement was taken care of instantly with professional setup and new set of string! This is my third guitar from this place and will continue to be my goto place. Repeat customer of this location. Generally had good experiences, some waiting aside. Today I was looking for some Studio Monitors, and a staff member named Q helped me. Seemed very knowledgeable, and was happy to test various products using my own preferred music samples.Ultimately I wasnt able to make a purchase but not because of Q or because of Guitar Center. Ive bought plenty of equipment here over the years.A few important notes:-parking lot is hard to enter or leave due to the placement on the street.-can be loud, but I guess thats typical.-lots of variety of music-related products for all different instruments and formats.Ill be back. Sometimes attempts cant be fruitful. But I learned a bit along the way.

I had the most amazing experience at Guitar Center in Rockville! Brian M went out of his way to help my son pick out just the right electric guitar for his music style and comfort and if you need a guitar fixed or refurbished, Connor is the guy to go to. I was blown away by his knowledge of the old classic guitars and features as well as the current ones. Amazing place. If you are a musician, this is the place to go!

Always friendly and helpful staff, incredible selection, however I will say their bass guitar section is lacking. Its a little off the main road so that can be difficult for newcomers.

Pleasant atmosphere. The young lady that let us in was friendly,helpful and knowledgeable. she placed my acoustic guitar into service to have it restrung and the purchase of new strings. its going to be a week long wait but it is what it is. covid 19 has messed up everything. I love you guys at Guitar Center.

Went for the guitar buy-back event and super disappointed with the offer. Peanuts for a mint condition guitar. Consider they dont have many guitars in stock I thought it might be a better experience. Staff was nice and helpful.

It was right after Xmas and the Store was pretty bare. They of course could order from the wide choice of products from the store or online.

Great Place,Wanting to buy a guitar to learn on and the works there are great. They tell me all of the tips on which guitar to buy. I had my uncles old guitar sitting in the basement which needed a few repairs so I dropped it off and they gave a free estimate of what needed to be fixed.

Hi all I really just want to take a second to give credit to where credit is deserved I just recently became a drummer once again after 30 years so a lot is changed and now I have an electrical set and actually it’s my second third time maybe in the store but I cannot tell you did the pleasure that I had with the Mr. Dawkins he’s the manager of the store he’s customer manager and then there’s another guy to that was really really great he’s a his name is Q he’s over there in the amplifier department but for a guy like me that was so lost and for these two gentlemen to help me the way that they did to go in above and beyond what they needed to do was more than I could ask for if you all ever go to the store and really need some attention for someone who will listen to you talk again to Mr. Dawkins without other great guy Q you won’t be disappointed they make the storeAs all the rest of them do I’m sure but they’re very very busy to what a great store I do thank you very much Mr. Dawkins thank you for making my stop there so so much easier thank you John Patten John Patt

Unfortunately I had the displeasure of having cashier Stefan M. G for my purchase today. He tried to harass me into donating to a kid’s school youth or something. He showed clear discrimination between myself and his other white customers. Will never come back to this location. He needs to be trained in people skills and how to politely ASK people if they want to donate, not forcing them to. Worst customer service I’ve ever had in Maryland. Hope the manager does something about it.

I went in one morning a couple weeks ago to purchase a guitar for my son. After standing around the guitar area for more than a half hour without anyone asking if I needed anything, I finally was approached by a manager Joey. I dont really know what Im doing when it comes to this, or what it is I need to buy, so I figured he would be able to help me with all of that. WRONG! He had an attitude on him from start to finish. I felt as if I was being more of a nuisance by taking up his time than actually being treated like a paying customer. He seemed way more interested in taking phone calls and helping other people than assisting me. He would also talk down to me as if I wasnt worthy enough to be in the store, but the white folk in there got nothing but niceness. I ended up just leaving and ordering everything online. I will never be going back in there again.

Awesome experience! I sold a bunch of stuff and upgraded my drum kit. They even gave me a discount for doing it all in one transaction!

In an attempt to secure my business I was PROMISED a pair of JBL speakers would be available before 5pm. Not only did I get charged for the speakers already but I also received the receipt and confirmation number confirming my payment and order.At closing time I am told my order hasn’t even been processed yet. I am in Dior need of these monitors and even though I can completely verify my purchase all the way down to the name/address on the card matching my ID; I am being told verification is the reason my monitors aren’t ready.I was referred to customer service, where I was guaranteed they would resolve the problem this business day. The women with bad attitude, who dares call herself a customer service rep, efforts have shown 0 results because the ordersprogress hasn’t improved.I am beyond disappointed in the poor communication and un-professional promises falsely made to me regarding the sale. I am now out $320 with no product to show for it and no knowledge on when I will have the product.At this point it is a wait and see game. I’m glad I didn’t invest more into the company for completion of my home studio.its most frustrating because I was already charged. The only respectful employee was a young lady and a gentleman named Joey. All other representatives hung up on me when I requested a name. I used to love guitar center I’ve easily spent over $10,000 with them I’ve the past 5 years. But I was handled so unprofessionally and indifferently, I don’t want to risk that happening again2 stars for at least having the product.My advice for what it’s worth:Stick to AMAZON !

Super amazing and friendly staff. The classical guitar room is nice, humidified, and small. Not as many classical guitars as Id like. Only about a dozen in the classical room. Also, would be careful about making sure a floor model doesnt have too much wear on it or Id ask about slightly lowering the price.

I have been a customer of Rockvilles Guitar Center for over 10 years. Right now they have the best employees Ive ever seen. Alan, Evan, Stefan, Connor, Brian. These guys are a DREAM TEAM! They know theyre stuff inside and out. They have helped me get the gear I need to make music. I love coming in there because they are so friendly. They call me by my name and they genuinely love guitars and music. Their enthusiasm is undeniable. So, forget about the mom and pop shops--this Guitar Center has a heart of gold.

Employees are always great. And can answer any question you have. Prices are reasonable. They have a great selection of used gear. As well as new.

The selection of products and guitars are the only reason I keep coming back. Customer service is awful! Only time I got ok customer service is when I can buying my $1600 guitar.

Dont go in there if you know what is good for you. This place is amazing and will surely get you want to buy something incredible. If you are a musician, then this place is like a kid in a candy store. Stay away...as long as you can stand it...or not. Youve been warn!

Cool place most guitar centers are with the latest and the greatest! My only gripe is Im a bass player, the selection is kinda geared in one direction in terms of bass heads not a huge variety. Other than that great place staff very helpful.

The staff is friendly and very knowledgeable and willing to answer any questions you may have regarding a range of different items. Great place for all levels of music from beginners to advanced musicians.

The staff is very friendly. Its cool to see all of the talented creative people playing the instruments. Good prices, they sometimes negotiate with you on certain things. My only issue is they frequently seem to be out of the cool discounted items I see on the floor. And they wont sell any floor models.

The store is big and comfortable, the sellers is polite, Im feel free to see everything and make test all instruments and electronic equipments...... No words..... Next time Im gonna back to buy...... Amazing, fantastic.

As someone who has no musical ability at all I just followed my friends in and had a ball. They stock everything and touching is encouraged. They do it all including tuneups. Friendly, knowledgeable staff.

Went to the store earlier in the afternoon.. Clean and not cluttered, and the salespeople were helpful, not pushy, and knowledgeable.. The demo gear was in good condition and hooked up to sample. The sales are printed on a flyer and on a separate itemized set stapled together... Nice experience

My kid takes classes at this center and the teacher that we choose is very nice guy and patient with my kid. Even if decided to move him with others instructors he prefers Mr. Michael Pearson for his vocation to teach.Thank you to him, Guitar Center and thank you to manager Mr. Leon too.

Dont expect prices matched or discounted, they wont consider eBay as a reliable source even though people make a living that way so that tells me they are getting it a very low rate. I believe its safe to assume Guitar Center is paying the same price or less since they are the biggest buyer of musical instruments. They act like they are giving you a great deal but in reality its still an incredibly high profit margin.

Inventory is good, service is great, overall an awesome experience. Look for Stephen, he knows his stuff. 👌🏻

This is a great guitar center! It’s huge and there are many different items for everything you need musically. There are plenty of associates willing to help. The string club is pretty nice if you need to buy strings a lot!

Ive enjoyed their customer service for a long time. Since its corporate, costs are more than I would like, but when your the only game in town, for now, you can do that. Hint to company in an effort to get them to do the right thing for starving artists, for now.
