Amazing customer service. you can tell the whole team is passionate about what they do. I have gone in several times just to ask questions and get their input. They never seem annoyed or bothered or like they just want to push the sale. I cannot recommend them enough.

I’m working on some vision issues and knew Engage has a good selection of optics, so I knew to stop by. It took a minute, and I can’t recall who helped, I’d like to include him.(I want to say Chris) But he ran my selection up the flag pole to Andy. He figured out a combination of sorts so I can have modifications to be.. Perfect! Andy had to dig for some mounts for a particular “want” I requested. He came out with the example i was after mounted on a gun that belonged to the shop. Easier said, if you are after something, and can afford it, just come here. The labor in finding something cheaper is absolutely not worth it. Your life will be so much easier and you don’t have to bother with the opinions of the internet. They know their stuff. We all know what opinions are worth. But the folks here showed me what works..the point being is my request was not their first rodeo. I’m very happy.!

Aside from being one of the most knowledgeable and well stocked armament shops in the area, the attitude and friendliness of the staff is what really sets aside this shop from all others. Every time I walk in here, I feel as if I’m at a family reunion of freedom. 10/10

I recently moved to Maryland from a far more firearm friendly state. I’ve purchased numerous firearms over the years at gun shows and from various armorers. Naturally, I wanted a specific make and model sidearm that is tough to find and Engage just so happened to have one in stock. I went into the store and was helped by Ryan. This gentleman could not be more professional, knowledgeable, and helpful. He took the time to walk me through all of the Maryland state bureaucracy, all of the paperwork, and showed me some new products that I am excited to use down range and at work. Ryan made my first purchase as a new Maryland resident as smooth and as easy as possible. I wholeheartedly recommend him and his shop to anybody in the area. They have fair prices, excellent customer service, and above all - they know their stuff. I will most certainly be going back for new purchases in the future.

Attended the HQL course with EA today. Andy and Brandon could not have been more professional. Once the course material was covered we were able to ask any and all questions of them and really get a good education with the ability to touch and compare a number of firearms. No embarrassment or humiliation, they really took the time to make sure we were informed and comfortable.

Stopped by today to just ask a few questions about buying a gun. The place was pretty busy but staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about all firearms and MD guns laws. I came in as a first timer with a list from my brother of what to get. They were out of those but Ryan took the time to show me other comparable ones so I could see how they would feel in my hand. I ended up with a Walther PPS. My brother approves and it feels like it was made for me. They are extremely patient and knowledgeable. Will definately buy from them again.

The best gun shop in Montgomery County, probably Maryland. Everyone on site is ready to help you and is knowledgeable about all aspects of firearms and the law.Even better is their rifle builds in house. Ive put way over 4000 hard use rounds through a rifle they built with not a single jam or misfire. All parts after use, when inspected, show less than expected wear, and have held up to the conditions theyve been put through. All different ammunition and different weathers, no failures. The rifle they built even out performed my friends Daniel Defense.This is the only shop I will go to anymore.

Engage has been awesome and I highly recommend you come to them. A couple months ago, I wanted to get my hql and emailed the 3 big guns stores around Gaithersburg and Rockville (One gun store I still haven’t heard back from) and Andrew got back to me very quickly and answered all my questions. After the class, Andrew emailed everyone and even included his phone number to be able to text him with any further questions I had. I have now purchased two guns through them (one was a transfer) and will continue to use them for any of my firearm purchases. Everyone I’ve dealt with in the shop knows their stuff and have zero problems answering questions.

Best shop in MD in my opinion. Owners Andy and Carlos are extremely fare with regards to pricing if you compare what others ask for stuff & the rest of the staff is very knowledgeable, friendly & dont talk down to you like some shops. They also are a class 3 manufacturer & always have a great selection of class 3 stuff if your into that ( SBRs, silencers & machine guns) but dont be scared off by that. You can buy a G42 for your wife there also. Its a shop that caters to everyone from beginners to gun collectors. They also do professional cerakoting as well as laser engrave, not to mention full gun smithing services. I highly recommend this shop of your searching for the best gun shop around that does it all.

I took a class here and it was pretty chill and informative. Andy is a great instructor, the class didnt feel like a four hours class at the all, the time just flew by. He explained all the essential information and discuss about the law. and regulations.Later on I went back to shop to check out their inventories, the staffs there are pretty helpful. I wasnt pressure to buy anything, I just simply browse through their inventories. As a newbie, I asked a lot of newbies questions and they were gladly to answer my questions without making me feel dumb.So yeah, I highly recommended this place.

This is Maryland, even if not, the firearm is unloaded on the display so the reply lacks conscience. No gun shops ever asks that question, merely. If purchasing, a buyer still has to submit a 77R application and receive a confirmation email with an application number and PIN number and then bring both items (application number and PIN number) to a licensed Maryland Regulated Firearm Dealer or to a Maryland State Police Barrack to complete the application process. THERE IS STILL A process to purchase regulated firearms. The way and manner the guy asks if about having an HQL, is what led to a one star review. You attack all customers in the same manner who leaves you a low review. The owners reply sounded like a dangerous guy who may find reasons to shoot customers he hates. Sorry sir, not nice Andrew Starr Raymond (Andy). You depend on customers to pay your bills and having a better dialogue and response may have made the difference. I have screenshot your reply, hopefully the world sees it going forward.An okay shop, except one of the sales guy choose to ask me if I have an HQL when inquiring about a gun I asked to see and hold. Best shop for first timers and returning buyers. The staff is very professional and are knowledgeable. EA makes their own lowers and they are great. They found my exact needs. I had my AR-15 about 2-3 months and runs and shoots perfectly. I put around 200-300 round and ZERO jams. I will buy all my firearms and accessories from them, and recommend to all friends and family.

Made the trek to engage armament this past weekend and was quite impressed. The shop was throwing a birthday party for the shops 2-year old english bulldog Brutus. Free food/drink were available as well as great discounts and prices. I picked up one of the Engage contracted White Oak Armament barrels for a great price and could not be happier. Great prices, great staff, I highly recommend. Was hard to leave without one of their custom E4 rifles, those things are sweet!

I have only used their gunsmith services but their prices are great and work is performed quickly. The staff is very knowledgeable, as well as friendly and welcoming; which is sometimes hard to come by in the industry. I will definitely be a repeat customer.

WOW. This is the third firearm I have purchased from EA and it definitely won’t be my last. Customer service is top notch, and the amount of knowledge that everyone there has is unbelievable. Just before I went to EA, I went to another local shop to just “look around”. No one there even acknowledged me. Not a “hi, how you doing“, or even a “can I help you with anything...NOTHING. They were all too busy joking around and doing whatever else they were doing with each other behind the counter, AND THEIR SELECTION WAS WEAK AF!!! Went in the other day after moving here from a much more pro gun state. I had a lot of questions about laws and regulations and they were very helpful with answering all of them. Small store but a pretty decent selection from most companies.

The best gun shop in Rockville. They treat you with respect from the time you enter to the time you leave. Very knowledgeable staff and do not try to sell you something you dont need or something more expensive, unlike other local shops. I have purchased many guns from them and their prices are better than other shops. Transfers are easy and reasonable fees. If they dont have what you want, they will do everything they can to get it for you. The only gun shop for me and once you visit it will be the only one for you as well.

I have purchased a few pistols from this shop. Even though I have to go to PA to take the actual delivery, their customer service is top notch which is the reason why I always go to them first. They are actually real people instead of the typical robot type of individuals you often see at gun shops. I have had some bad experiences at shops (places that I have spent thousand of dollars at) with some of the sales people talking down to me because of my knowledge of the firearms or a question that I ask. At Engage, its not like that. They are hard working guys who are passionate about what they do and are always open to help you in any ways that you need. I have also had some work done on my pistols and rifle by Mr. Ryan Uhrich who is one of the best gunsmiths I have met while shopping around gun shops. His knowledge is impressive and his work is flawless. I highly recommend you ask for him if you are going to stop in Engage.

I have been doing biz with Engage Armament for a couple years now for a few reasons. My experience was good from the start. When I first went there and every time after I have always been greeted, and made to feel welcome. Which isnt really important to me in a gun shop, its not a starbucks. The guys working, could be in the middle of a sizable transaction with mountains of paperwork that truly requires full attention.....folks should keep this in mind when visiting ANY gun shop. Engage Armament is pro actively fighting Maryland state police and their shenanigans, that are infringing the gun rights of all law abiding Maryland Citizens.These guys are not gun shop elitist at all. Carlos and Andy have both gone out of their way to provide excellent service and Nate is extraordinarily knowledgeable about the complex Maryland gun laws and the process of gun ownership in Maryland. If you need Gunsmith work you can trust, stripped forged and billet receivers, beautiful revolvers, semi autos, or maybe you want an AR built to your spec from the ground up or need parts to build your own. This is the place to go.

GREAT selection of MD compliant firearms!However, Ive visited their store three times, not once was I was ever properly greeted. The third and final time I went in, the owner of the store, Andy, was the only one on the sales floor and was helping a customer. I walked in, I looked at him, I greeted him. He gave me a very short and quick hello back to me. That was it. No Welcome to Engage Armament, How can I help you, One moment, sir. I will get someone to help you in a moment or I will be finished with this customer in a bit and will be happy to assist you afterward. In the meantime feel free to look around. Just absolutely zero customer service. Also, the place is very cluttered. There are stacks of papers and upper receivers lying on top of the showcases. I wasnt even able to see some of the handguns in the showcases because it was all being eclipsed by crap lying around everywhere. Back to my third visit, I was looking to buy that day. I was ready to spend up to $5K. Since I didnt get a proper greeting for the third time in a row. I went to another store 15 minutes away, where they were MUCH more friendly and helpful (I wont say which store that was, because that is not what this review is about), and gave them my money and will give them my future business as well. Service is the best thing about this store. Be it guiding you through paperwork, a gun not in stock, purchasing advice, friendly company, dog lovers, or gunsmithing you cannot go wrong here. The prices here are just under MSRP, but that discount is far outweighed by the service once you talk to them. Product at low prices is what most buyers may want, but service is what you need to guide you. At busy times they can seem overwhelmed. Do not be afraid to ask for attention, most of the time they know you are there. They just do not wish to detract with who they are currently serving. What they give you is greatness that is only partially stated in the list above. Engage them in conversation and they are more than happy to help. They want to help and they have the experience to do it.

Great place to shop for firearms and accessories. Fair prices storewide. They also have a silencer shop kiosk!

Wanted to buy a Krag, which was totally legal in my state, and yall seemed to be confused as to if a 100 year old bolt action would have been legal in NJ.

Awesome customer service. Went to all 3 shops in Rockville.Atlantic,United and Engage.All stores i shopped I had a good experience.But Engage Armament was the best.Carlos in sales helped me find the correct gun with ease.The gunsmith forgive me because I didnt get his name answered all my questions.And the bulldog gave the store a family feel.Will buying all my future weapons here.Will recommend to all friends.
