Went in to get used old shoe boxes . Employees helpful. I proved my point by setting and watching.
I am a real fan of Ritchie Shoes. I have gone to the store for my regular shoes which are orthopedic, and also lovely, for years. My first salesman was named Corey and later John who is still there now at the Congressional Plaza store. This time I called on John at Ritchie for a special service. When I got the first of two hip replacements, it happened that the surgery leg ended up at an inch and a half longer than the non-surgery leg. So for a period of up to three months prior to the next third jury Im going to need lifts and one of the shoes. So John measured my difference and worked with me until we found the right shoe and gave me all the information so that I would be able to do therapy with matching leg length. He was patient and professional and exacting and his explanation of how this would work.I can just tell you I am so pleased with the results. The person who created the lift in the shoe was absolutely a master craftsman. So basically I couldnt be happier I actually love the shoes and how they look. The price was right the people were great and the product was superior to even anything I expected.Joanne, Gaithersburg
Attentive and knowledgeable staff. They understand the needs of their clients and do all they can to help you find the shoe that is the most comfortable and supportive.
Excellent selection of stylish but comfortable shoes. A bit pricey but what isnt these days?
Elderly relative on fixed income made expensive purchase. Shortly after, she was hospitalized for period of time and asked that we return her purchase on her behalf. Spoke to the manager who refused to issue refund since it was over 14 days from the purchase. Due to the extenuating circumstances, I found this poor and unreasonable customer service. She never wore the shoes. It’s a shame they were not willing to provide the assistance we needed. I would have sung their praises if they had. (Manager only offered exchanges.)
One of the regional shoe stores with a dedicated person able to fit you for custom-made orthotics (with a Doctors authorization).
Gait issues? Knowledgeable staff with comfortable good-looking shoes.
Ive been going to Richey Shoes for over ten years. Every few years I need new custom orthotics for my shoes. John Koucheravy works with me until we get them right. Hes easy to work with, takes time to listen, and has the skill to make the orthotics I need.
He charged a lot and the insert don’t last even for a year so unfair is all about money and not quality of the material
