Their Breakfast Bagel is seriously the best one I’ve ever had!!! You can tell that they make it upon ordering and it doesn’t come already put together and frozen like some chains do. It’s always hot and delicious! Their lattes are always fresh and creamy as well. They have become my favorite place for breakfast!

My favorite local coffee shop, if I don’t stock up on their espresso beans to enjoy it at home I’ll go grab a super delicious latte to go! Their coffee is gold compared to any other coffee store in the Cleveland / Rocky River area. Highly recommend, their staff is so great too! Super helpful and friendly always and I’ve been going there for more than a year now, I have absolutely nothing bad to say about this place. It’s a gem! We are regulars!

On top of the delicious goodies I always receive my order with a little personalization that I absolutely love. Nothing gives me that warm and cozy feeling more than a chocolate croissant with my name adorably written in gold and a cute little snowman on the packaging. Thats the added bonus I think everyone could use during these weird times.

Showed up in the drive-thru line 10 minutes before they closed, got to the microphone to order 5 minutes before they closed, and they completely ignored me. Rolled up to the window and they had it shut off completely. Horrible customer service. I had never tried this and was going to for the first time. I always have a great experience at Erie Island, as I thoroughly enjoy frequenting the shop for a coffee and to do work. With a relaxing, contemporary coffee shop atmosphere, Erie Island has captured the dynamic of social and also a place to get work done. The food and drinks are amazing and fairly priced. Unfortunately not once but the TWO times I have been the employees were RUDE. I received an attitude from every employee I came in contact with. After I left I called and asked to speak to a manager. I kindly explained how the employees were rude and I wanted her to be aware because I am also a manager in customer service and I would never allow an employee to act that way to which the manager on duty replied with a rude remark and then HUNG UPTHE PHONE ON ME. I could also hear her repeating the things I said to the other employees and I could hear EVERYTHING they were saying (also rude) I’m sad because this place is so close to my House and SOO yummy. Unfortunately I don’t enjoy leaving places in a bad mood.

Food is good, coffee is great. Service however is horrible. Very rude, politely corrected them as i was given the wrong order. The individuals chose to say ‘that’s funny’ and slam the window. They also continued to talk to people as a I was right at the window. Great food just maybe needs to work on hiring the right people.

I discovered this shop 5 years ago when I moved to town and it is my very favorite coffee in the area. Super friendly staff, comfortable atmosphere, and delicious coffee. I especially like their monthly specials. Always creative.

Love the coffee, but when I asked if I could pay extra for a little cup of whipped cream for my dog, the lady commented in a belittling tone, You know thats not good for your dog, right? Totally uncalled for, and my dog walks an average of 3-5 miles a day with me in the parks, so just like me, she can afford a little whipped cream on occasion. They lost my $3 tip because of that judgmental remark. Im all for supporting small business, but I might as well just go to Starbucks or DD if I want to treat my pup next time.

Out of this world. Can’t say enough good things. Erie Island is one of a kind. Coffee - smooth and rich. Employees - plentiful and helpful. Sandwiches - crunchy and fresh. EICC truly has upped their game (especially with the addition of the new panini press). If you want a hand-crafted and quality drink, don’t waste your time going elsewhere. This is a place to take a load off and enjoy the coffee.

Terrible experience. Went through the drive-thru. The lady was completely rude. When she repeated my order back and it was wrong she got mad when I corrected her. The coffee I ordered had no cream in it or on the side or sugar and when I tried to get the persons attention at the window they turned around. when i tried to call they don’t answer the phone. Called numerous times to let them know about my terrible experience and how my order was all wrong, even after I corrected the order. I’ll never go there again and will tell anyone that ever mentions this place to not go there aswell

I would rate this place a ZERO STAR! Save your money... plenty of coffee shops in Lakewood & rocky river. EVERY SINGLE EMPLOYEE WORKING THERE IS RUDE! Iv tried going multiple times and every time it’s very disappointing... Even some of my friends have gone and told me horrible stories about the employees being rude and disrespectful! Just don’t go... not worth it...

Ive been visiting a lot of cafes lately comparing coffee and Erie island has some of the best testing coffee so far. Up there with rising Star. Big store with lots of seating options - windows, tables, couches, bar seating, tables next to warm heaters if youre cold. Nice snack selection with bagels and pastries, good selection of coffee drinks and sizes, and they prices are moderate. They have a drive thru if you need it! Highly recommend.

They had decaf brewed which was nice but it wasnt a dark brew so it was okay but nothing special. We didnt like the music and a lot of echo made it hard to have a private chat. It was clean and they were quick so thats why the 3 stars.

Good coffee, delicious espresso drinks and nice selections of baked goods, paninis and Cleveland Bagel products. The staff are friendly and capable. My wife swears by the green smoothies. You wont be disappointed!

Drive thru line was long and slow, so so slow. This was during the COVID shutdown, so the drive through was the only option. Maybe its fine under normal circumstances.

Really nice coffee shop nestled in the Beachcliff Square in Rocky River. I stopped in here for the first time for a business meeting and really enjoyed my coffee. I get a pretty basic order (just plain ol’ large coffee with cream) but it was still surprisingly inexpensive ($1!) for a high quality brew.

Bright, airy environment without losing the coffeehouse charm. Enjoyed the coffee. Delicious monthly featured lattes and unique tea blends. Its my Rocky River go-to spot!

Absolutely terrible! First, the lady that took my order was extremely rude and not helpful at all. Then I get home and my order is not right at all. Also, who doesn’t give creamer?? Never will I ever go back there again. Extremely disappointed to say the least 😩

This place has really good coffee and a professional atmosphere. Its nice having a drive-thru but drive slow and you can only order food if you stop inside. I have been coming here for years with absolutely no complaints.

Ill start with an admitted bias: I worked at Erie Island for about three years but as far as Cleveland coffee shops are concerned, this was my favorite place well before I started working there. The coffee and espresso drinks are great, the vibe is comfortable (if sometimes busy, depending on the time of day; if you want a seat during the day, scope it out early and hang around for a while. At night, it tends to be more relaxed). The employees are friendly and fun and the store is well-kept and maintained. The bakery is supplied by local bakers and makes a nice addition to the coffee offerings. As a customer, I have never had a bad experience.

I will be back because Kayla is so sweet and helpful! She makes one hell of a mocha!

Great little coffee shop. I always come here when I’m on town it’s a nice little coffee shop in the very nice Downtown section of Rocky River. The coffee is very good I would recommend not getting food though if they are busy it can take while.

Get caffinated by some great folks

Nice shop but the guy was pretty grumpy and didnt seem to happy. Coffee was okay, tastes like the syrup had something funky going on and is overly sweet. (Got better a bit as I went through it) Other beverages my family had were fine but not coffee.

When we walked in they said they were better than the downtown location which we love. And the admitted their prices were higher. Thats probably because they put too much espresso on their drinks. Way to bitter, and Im an avid coffee drinker. You shouldnt have to add sugar to enjoy a cappuccino.

I have been there three times. On two of the visits, I encountered the grumpiest worker ever. The first time, we got there 30 minutes before closing, which the guy pointed out before I could even open my mouth to order. We sat down, watching the clock so we could be polite and leave on time. The grumpy guy got out a broom and was literally sweeping under our table while we tried to talk. Second time - mid-day - the same guy acted as if ordering a tea was a huge pain to take care of. Really colored how I view the store. Third time was fine - but I made it take out.

Loved the Coffee so much I got a small place down the street. Friendly staff, clean, great coffee and fantastic atmosphere! Pit stop before I hit the gym or a kick starter before I hit the Set!

If I could I would give them no stars. They must be known for their coffee exclusively. Sweet craving, not met. I got 2 chocolate chip cookies, 1 chocalate muffin and a smoothie. It was absolutely disgusting. All of it. I had to write a review, because it was that bad. I never write reviews. But, I cant believe they serve stale cookies and hard muffins, with smoothies that are basically milk with a sheet of ice on top. So nasty

Its a cute, small place that is great for meeting a friend or two for a good cup of coffee, and the staff is very friendly. HOWEVER...the food is consistently dry and bland. Eat elsewhere, then come here for coffee.

Lovely atmosphere and good service. Very accommodating staff who went above and beyond in making us feel valued when an equipment change out caused delays. Their nitro cold brew tastes great unless you dont like nitro cold brew in which case youd still probably find that it tasted okay because it really tasted great.

I go here at least once a week. These guys know how to do a latte. Plus, their chai lattes are to die for - never had better, anywhere. Always clean, and the staff/owners are super friendly. High quality all around.

I really love the atmosphere, the accessibility and the flavors of drinks and food here. My only issue is the service, the quality of drinks and availability of food is wildly inconsistent. I usually arrive later in the afternoon and sometimes my barista is very welcoming and other times obviously wants me to leave as soon as possible. Sometimes there is food available and other times theyll say they cant make anything, even more than an hour from closing. Sometimes theyll gladly make a custom drink (Mexican hit chocolate, just a hit chocolate with cayenne) and the next week theyve never had cayenne.I still come here every week and I do actually love it there, but I will say its not a consistent experience. It seems like there are lot of staff turnovers.

I had a great experience here with some great coffee. A nice size location that’s very welcoming and eye pleasing.

The lady who served me was the one the worst lady. She was mean and she had that hateful behavior towards me. I asked for ice mocha with extra espresso and she gave me a regular mocha and I saw her just filling up my cup with just coffee No Espresso, even asked her again while she was handing it to me that did you add extra espresso and she said yes but clearly no. I am coffee holic and I know my coffee. And clearly there was no espresso in it. And now the worst part. She gave me coffee out of some old container which I was clearly looking. And now the next day I am in my bed with a bad throat. Coz I drank couple sips from that coffee and the moment I drank it I felt something was wrong with the coffee. She gave me old coffee. I hate her now and I don’t know what I did wrong to her.

Met here with someone who called this an amazing coffee place, and in my head I was all like, Whatever, its probably not amazing. I then took a sip of coffee and in my head I was all like, Oh snap! This is amazing! I should probably stop saying oh snap in my head and out loud, but the coffee is seriously snap-worthy.

Amazing coffee and snacks. Makes for a great place to study or to take your significant other to relax and enjoy a cup of joe. The very friendly staff answered every question i had and made me a custom drink to my liking. The walls are full of cool art for sale at a nice price. I stopped here passing through and I will always stop here every time im around because finding great coffee isnt as easy anymore.

Overall a great, local, coffee shop. Plenty of space if youre looking to work or kill some time. When the weather is nice you can sit out front or they may even open the garage doors. My only complaint is the Wi-Fi speed. Ive been there at 7:15 AM on a Saturday with no one else in the store and its still painfully slow. If Im working on something that requires at least an average connection speed I end up at the Starbucks down the street.

Take it from a Seattle native, these guys know how to steam milk. The best lattes and cappuccinos are right here. Dont look any further.

Although their wifi and savory food items are not fantastic, the atmosphere and more importantly the coffee are. They train their baristas, so youre pretty much assured a good cup of coffee. I dont know where they get their beans and I havent bought bulk at Erie Island because they are pricey for very small bags, I think they are prepackaged 12oz. bags. Bulk coffee purchases has become popular over the last few years, but 12oz is just short of enough bulk beans to last me a week. As far as atmosphere, there isnt another coffee shop on the west side of Cleveland that Id prefer to go to and Erie island is locally owned which is another element I like to promote. Im going to meet my mom there in a couple hours for Mothers day. Its a fine shop.

I really like this place. The coffee is good, the coffee shop is cozy and cute. They also partnered with Cleveland Bagel and sell their bagels (those bagels are seriously awesome). They rotate seasonal drinks ala Starbucks, etc. Their version of a PSL, Storm Watch, is delicious, fwiw.
