I shopped at Sherms Thunderbird my entire life and even worked there as a young man. I served my country honorably and that still didnt keep them from denying me food at the checkout isle. I now shop at Safeway!!! Great staff. Great prices. Theyll never deny your family the groceries you need. You can always count on them. Safeway.

The NE Stephens St Roseburg location is a clean, well stocked store. Since I’m moving to neighborhood, came in today to check it out. But I was disturbed to see so many employees, less than a mile from a hospital overrun with COVID cases, wearing their masks below their noses! Seriously?One month after this review, I visited this business again. The staff all wearing masks properly, I shopped more comfortably.Thanks for paying attention, Safeway!

Good store. I like that they carry Orgain milk and almond butter without salt. Last time I was there there were a lot of people. The clerks handled the bustle well.

$5 Fridays offer some great deals! Also, if you use their app on your phone you can easily save more money than shopping at Walmart.

Im giving Safeway 5 stars because its the only store that I stopped at just to stop it. Sometimes I dont even buy anything I just go in there and walk around because I like the store and the staff is super friendly. So Ill just walk around in there and casually ask where stuff is, maybe use the restroom and if I have the money its sushi bar. I dont know how Safeway Sushi Compares with the rest of the sushi in the world cuz its really the only place Ive ever eaten it, but if I have the money I definitely spend it on Sushi every chance I get. Its delicious its surprisingly satisfying. Just made myself hungry. Thank you Safeway for being a pleasant place to be.

I am changing my review. I have gone back to Safeway yesterday and I had good service in the deli and found just about everything I needed. I really appreciate you taking the time and making the efforts in the store. Its my favorite place for baked goods. Only one thing, both Safeway and Albertsons are still out of the O Organics Onion Rings Baked Sweet Maui and original flavor still. They are so good so please can you get them back in or let me know where I can order some?

They always have these yummy fruit boxes that I love!! And I can go through a self checkout and my wait time is almost none. Also Clean bathrooms, with good soap.

This place is clean, the staff are overall good and kind but a few times I went there, past 8pm, theres only 1 cashier with 5-6 people in line, and it takes 12-15+ minutes just to buy a few things. I understand the self check out is open, but most in line are people that have a bunch of stuff and that makes it all the more slower. The cashier eventually called for help but it seemed like no one was available to take the load. Ridiculous how they can only have 1 cashier available.

Shopping there is cool, prices arent exactly ideal but they do have a nice selection. However, i didnt get his name but whoever the older guy is working the self checkout needs to chill, i understand doing your job and watching for thiefs, but the guy was literally standing at the register with us basically breathing down our necks the entire time and kept budding in to help us scan our items. It got really frustrating, I know how to work a self check out. Ive worked his position before at other jobs. What he did was not necessary.

I mean its a safeway.. Good for when your to classy for Walmart but not hippie enough for natural foods.A walk through the bakery will put a smile on your face even on your worst days

The store appeared to be clean and well stocked. The organic vegetable department was beautiful! The person in the deli was very nice and helpful. I was disappointed with the checker that was so busy taking for a long time with another customer. I was there around 1and there was only two checkstands open.

I wasnt there a long time. No eating establishments were allowed to be open and I was hungry. Remembering the deli I opted for what Safeway prepares and sells. It satisfied that hunger monster but the food is not restuarant quality. Hey its a grocery store not outback steak house. What can you expect? The floor was clean and the employees friendly

Long lines at the pharmacy other than that pretty good

The pharmacy line was ridiculously long and took forever to get to the counter just to be told that my meds werent ready yet when I called ahead to confirm that they were.

Better now that you can self checkout. Debbie is quick and efficient in regular lines checkout.

Very nice clean store will continue to do some shopping there..unlike other stores in area, shelves are always stocked.

Safeway always has some of the freshest produce, and the best meats in town. I love shopping at this store. The staff are always friendly and helpful, the cashiers are efficient and so sweet. Keep up the amazing work!

Very clean store with a beautiful flower selection.

I normally dont shop here but went by so I stopped. Had a small list and almost everything was on the weekly sale. Prices ok on sale. Too high otherwise. Ten am Wednesday the place was crowded. Short line to check out, cashier friendly and helpful. One item I was looking for, denture cleaner was nowhere to be found so I will have to go elsewhere. Overall store was clean and well stocked.

Loved the 94 cent Umpqua ice cream. Wish it was more often though

Never going back! No enforcement of making policy and high customers cursing (spun out). No n95s for the employees but they cant enforce only suggest? This sounds like the customer and employees alike do not matter!

The food at the deli was a little cold and there where not that many chooses left but it was after 5 pm so I guess they where getting ready to close things up. The guy at the counter did not give me the sweet and sour sauce I asked for, instead he gave me soy sauce.

It always feels strange to review a grocery store, especially a chain like Safeway. The only times my experiences at grocery stores stand out is when they were horrible; everything else just kind of blends together. I appreciated this Safeway because of their stocked shelves, good prices, friendly staff, and perhaps most of all because everyone I saw in the store was wearing a mask--and they were wearing them over their noses and mouths! Feeling comfortable while grocery shopping is something that I thought I might never experience again. Thanks Safeway!

Dont carry most of their O organic brand items I like... No answer why not in stock anymore. Deli sandwich area also lacking in Safeway standards (luckily the hot deli employees were helpful and tried to make due with what was available to make my sons sandwich)

We used to be a Grocery Outlet shopping family its closest to our home even though since the Pandemic ive noticed its very crowded and they dont enforce the mask mandate that was until today..... I live in a building that is all Senior and or Disabled and the seven years Ive been here there have been 2 grocery carts in the building that have been here for a decade or more (its how we get our groceries to our apartments and most of us buy or did from Grocery Outlet) and the new owners of Grocery Outlet apparently saw a resident using said cart and demanded it be returned or the police would be involved 🤔 really? Needless to say they got thier 2 carts back . My husband called Safeway and spoke with Tim a Manager and they happily donated 2 carts to the building from carts they were going to be thrown away so good on you Safeway 😊 I will never shop at Grocery Outlet again and Thankyou Safeway way to be a caring member of the community ❤ I have also noticed an improvement at Safeway keeping us all safe Thankyou

Went for the pick up service and it was very nice. When calling the number they answered right away, didnt have to wait long forbthe worker to come out, and there were very nice.
