Disgusting. According to Google, these guys updated their hours merely one hour ago to reflect a 1900 closing time. So, yeah, I drive out to Sugar Land and... its closed. Great job, guys. Just... great job. As a practical point of advice from someone who has since moved on from successfully running retail outlets, I would advise you that a reputation for reliability and consistency are key to your survival as a small business. And today, you managed to clothesline yourself on that relatively low hurdle.

I purchased a chainsaw from this store. It starts fine, idles fine even revs up fine, but once you start trying to cut with it, it loses power and shuts down. Obviously has deeper issues. I brought it back and asked for an exchange because we cant keep it running. They said to exchange it would cost me $45 restocking fee which I begrudgingly paid.But after my initial complaint was aired the owner reached out to me personally and straightened the issue out and I can appreciate that.

This is my go to place . They have all those little hard to find things that the other places dont have. The staff is very knowledgeable and very quick to help always it with a smile on their face. Ive started to go here before before I go to lowes and home depot they tend to have a better and more detailed selection especially when it comes to hardware. Not to mention youre always greeted with a smile .

Had a horrible experience there during the winter storm. I originally went to get propane. We waited outside in the rain and cold. That was fine. They lady governing the door asked who was there for propane, i replied i am. She said they didnt have any more. That was fine. I approached as the next person in line and the woman asked me what are you here for? I said because its a hardware store. She rudely asked but why are you here? Instead of addressing how i typically would a rude person i just entered the store and walked right by her. Another employee walking by started yelling to the other employees every time i put something down it dissappears. I had already waited in line with a bad hip and a clear handicap tag parked right in front of the store. I was greeted unprofessionally and most of the staff (not the guys in the back) were rude as hell. Probably need some kind of training. Ppl were worried about their homes and they were acting this way.

I went there for a quick propane tank refill. Employees will always welcome you when you get in, they are very helpful and polite. It didn’t even take 5 mins, when we figure out that my propane tank was almost full :)

Extremely friendly and helpful. I only went to get a couple of keys made. I bought my own keys online and had them cut here. I called several places and was quoted $65-$100 for JUST CUTTING, no programming.I called Chris, he verified they could do it, and that it would only be $10!I showed up, handed him the keys, and was at the register chatting with the super friendly cashier in just a few moments.This is how hardware stores used to be, and I HIGHLY recommend shopping here.ACE really is the place with the helpful Hardware man (and woman).

I want to commend Stevie for the kind, courteous, and professional assistance he rendered in my behalf when he took my Order over the phone today. He answered every question politely and precisely, and he took the time to verify every Price and Availability issue.

Went to Napa to get a hose for my vehicle. They did not have different size ends, so I had to get two hoses, and go to Ace Hardware. I was helped by employees named David and Jason they were extremely friendly, and made sure that I had everything I needed. They went out of their way two employees just to help one customer. Its a 55 minute drive there, and another 55 minute drive back. I very much recommend this particular hardware store. I even asked for a manager, and apparently people were being very rude to her and her employees on this 100+ degree weather day. I told the manager that her employees are doing an amazing job, and these two in particular Jason and David helped out so much, and she has an amazing crew. I wasnt there to be aggressive or complain like everyone else was. I hope that I helped her have a better day.

Liz & Team are wonderful. They took the time to help locate a key fob that I so desperately needed. Although, it took a few days to come in - they called and informed me when it arrived. Overall just a great team. Definitely will be back - Rosenberg Ace customer 👍

I live in the neighborhood that this store is located but was still willing to drive across town to Home Depot. The other day I decided give this store a try and I am sure glad I did! I was welcomed by a man, I believe his name was Marty, and he helped me with and issues that I had with finding the right size bolt that I needed. He was not only helpful but also very knowledgeable. I really appreciate his helpful attitude that he displayed, he made me feel like he understood the value of good ol customer service, seems like these days that is hard to find! Since that day I have started to go to this store instead of the others and have been met with the same customer service each time.

After going to big name stores without doubting them, I come to find out that Ace DID have EXACTLY what I needed! 2 fellows helped me, and one didnt know as much as the other, but they both CAME to me as soon as they saw me wandering about. You dont see that at the big stores! Shout out to Stevie, he came, he saw, and he literally solved my problem at a moments glance!

Visited this location many times. Each time, I am welcomed and asked for my interest. They then lead me to the products I seek (usually lawn chemicals) even though by now I know exactly where they are. Check out is fast and efficient. If I am using a shopping cart—I usually am with a couple heavy bags of fertilizer—they will come with me to the adjacent parking lot to take the car back. I know this is theft prevention, but I also am glad for the help.

Central Ave Hardware reminds me of the small hometown hardware stores, so many of which are no longer in business. Not so with Central Ave Hardware!Unlike Home Depot and Lowes, there are always plenty of knowledgeable salespeople eager to help you. Theyve helped me accomplish many tasks.I highly recommend Central Ave Hardware!

The big box stores dont carry all of the things one really needs, like a specialty screw, mailbox key, etc. Plus, Ace carries the basics, too, and at a competitive price. I would call Ace Hardware your neighborhood hardware store. And, a friendly staff.

Everyone here is always so helpful! The manager found me a $6 tool that changed my world! Lol great place, great people. I definitely go out of my way to shop here.

I dont have a lot of need for hardware, so I cant give a VERY thorough review. HOWEVER, I have always found the staff to be helpful.OF GREAT HELP TO ME: I attempted to have my housekey duplicated TWO other places, and the ones they sold me did not work. The one I had made at ACE works like a charm.

I have done business there since the 1980s, never had any problem with assistance, product return, nor any employees.They have a good assortment of hardware items, their prices are good and if a bit more well worth the quick check out time and convenience to my home.Some items they have were not available from the bigger stores in town too, a plumbing part for a faucet to be exact so I go there first for most items for that reason and usually dont have to go elsewhere because they stock the item.They have things youd never dream of being available locally, grates for stoves is one that surprised me so if you are new to the area give them a try, I doubt youll be sorry.

This is a great place to get hard to find parts for like light fixtures, lamps, plumbing and every thing you may need around the house.They have rearranged things and even have a section dedicated to stihl brand equipment.

Very friendly and helpful employees that know where to find whatever you may be looking for. This is a well stocked hardware store that I visit fairly regularly.

Needed some keys made. Walked in was greated, they asked what I shopping for and if I needed any assistance. Directed me to the keys and someone met me at the counter. Three keys made promptly and I was out the door in 5 minutes.

I Went in to purchase a toilet handle and was greeted by a smiling sales associate as soon as I walked in, she (Gracie?) offered immediate assistance and I was pointed in the right direction. When it was all said and done, I was in and out in under 4 minutes.
