Ive had good experiences here as a customer for 9 years. Its always felt like a place that values customer relationships. They recently changed ownership, but Im happy to say not much else has changed and this is still a great shop! Staff are friendly and patient with questions. Theyll give you price options when they can and even tell you when you can save your money. I recommend them to anyone who wants a go-to auto mechanic!

This team went above and beyond my expectations(which are typically very high) to repair my boat trailer axle and tune up the motor on my boat. The axle was somewhat custom and they had to go back to the original manufacturer to get the right part. It took about 3 weeks to get delivered due to the Suez canal mess, but once it showed up they had it ready the next day. During the time my boat was there they took extra precautions to keep it safe. Fairly priced, do good work

Stopped in without an appointment to check a sound my truck was making. The owner took the time to go on a test drive and even put it up on a lift. Everything checked out fine and he gave some recommendations. Not pushy at all. Now thats customer service. Would not hesitate to go back for my future auto repair needs.

Bought a 2005 Jeep wrangler in the summer, it had intermittent miss fire issues after bringing it to other shops, new exhaust, new sensors with no change in symptoms. I brought it to Roseville Auto and Marine, and the owner, Keng he was able to find a short in the computer harness, that was the source of all the false sensor codes. He is very knowledgeable and very thorough and extremely fair with pricing. There is no other mechanic I would bring my vehicles to going forward. I was having some hard start on my 2016 Ford truck this past week due to the cold MN weather, and Roseville Auto & Marine did not disappoint. Owner got us in same day, and got our car running. Come to find out it was a bad starter. They were willing to listen to our concerns, and did not try to upsell. I spent 428.83 on 9/26/18 for oil change, ignition switch and new fuel pump. On 8/29/18 I spent 2,172.41 for GUESS WHAT another ignition switch, adjust carbs inspect and replace the ignition switch. $1080 spent on electoral issues.I have spent in 2020 $1100 on new carbs, the repair shop some one fd up the prior cabs. Spent another $650 to correct the electrical issues. OH AND THE FUEL PUMP RAM installed which I was charged twice the actual price which the mgr said that cost was for warranty purposes. I brought my boat, trailer and truck there a couple times to get fixed/maintenanced. The owner was very friendly and the mechanics are very knowledgeable. They went above and beyond on trying to find the right parts for a 2001 trailer and gave me reasonable alternatives when those parts where not available anymore. I also got my boat winterized there and they did an excellent job. I would highly recommend.

I brought in a marine engine I was having trouble with to Roseville auto and Marine. I told them what the problem was. I was called the next day with a completely different issue. Asking if it solved my original problem he advised me that there was nothing wrong. I disagreed and the service manager said he would check and call back. When he called back he said it was a new issue that was the problem and not my issue or the one they called back with the first time. Being the only one in the conversation that has actually heard the engine run I decided against any repair. He then said he remembers a time they did something to a different engine with the same original problem I had, he would check with the mechanic and get back to me. He called back and said they fixed my original problem and after feeling uneasy with the whole process I wanted just my problem fixed and not do all of the other issues they “found”. Upon pickup I noticed the engine looked damaged on the lower unit that happened after I dropped it off. I left the motor there and their crack squad of investigators determined it must have always been there because they have never seen a lower unit with chipped paint. I wasn’t looking for money or a new engine I just wanted the engine fixed. It was not just the one issue but the whole experience. I would never use this place again

Awesome experience! Had a nail in my tire that I needed repaired. Called Britt to let her know that I had a 30-45 minute window to get it fixed. She was gracious enough to set some time aside for the repair. Roseville A&M had me out of the shop in 20 minutes, just in time for me to make a meeting. Five-Star service indeed! Thanks a million!

Left parts off after install, had to go to another shop to properly fix, didnt know where to get a starter or generator rebuilt, improper install of hood after engine swap, left bolts loose, not on straight. Should never have to tell a mechanic how to fix or diagnose a vehicle.

They did a good job winterizing my boat and it was done lighting fast. Will use them again.

I really appreciate what Britt and Roseville Auto & Marine do. They are down to earth in explaining issues and pricing is usually competitive with other repair shops if not on the lower end. They noticed an issue with one of the bearings on my car, and when I eventually had them look at it they found the brake caliper was frozen! I was really close to having a car on fire if I had driven on it further, and I definitely wouldnt have found the issue without them. Thank you for your help!

Boat work and a lot of it, they did a good job and all got fixed. Took longer than planned due to change in staff there, but overall they took it all on and older boat as well so many surprises, labor price seemed good but some parts were a lot of money. Recommend you bring your own parts if possible.Satisfied with their work and staff. Go and check them out. Only knocked them down one star due to time it took for all things, and the price for parts.

Wow!! These people are amazing!! I forgot to try my snowblower before the snow started falling and realized it wasn’t working the day before our snow fall this week (Monday). I called at 430 in the afternoon, the guy who helped was really nice and super helpful. They picked up my snowblower on Tuesday morning and dropped it back off on Wednesday while it was snowing! These guys do solid work and have great customer service!!

Took my 97 suburban there after a catastrophic failure on the freeway where the block heater fell out causing the motor to overheat. The mechanic and staff at this shop were great to work with and I picked my car up the next day. Unfortunately the part that was replaced was defective and I only made it a few miles down the road. The shop paid to have my car towed back and warrantied the work, verified that there hadnt been damage to the vehicle from the brief overheats-all at a significant expense to the shop. I was extremely pleased by the professionalism here and highly recommend their service. Were I living in the area I would absolutely use this shop for all of my automotive repairs. Very fair price for the original repair.

I called them to set up an appointment dropped off my boat trailer at 7:30 a.m. was pleasantly greeted at the door and the work was completed in 4 hours. That kind of service is rare. They replaced my failed and under designed springs on my boat trailer with custom designed and built replacement springs. They did this on the same day I dropped the trailer, and all while the boat was still on the trailer. The boat rides great now. I am very satisfied!

I brought a 1989 Johnson 20 hp motor here because I was having trouble starting it and keeping it running. I knew it was something with the carburetor and when I dropped it off I told them exactly that. The next day I got a call from Jeff telling me that he had looked at the motor and knew what it was. He said that it had good compression (I knew that), that the lower unit oil needed to be changed because it was burnt (nearly impossible because the lower unit is always submerged when running so how could it get hot enough to burn the oil? Also, that would have NOTHING to do with how it was running so why would he check that?), there was an oil leak in the engine compartment(impossible, there is no oil to leak in the engine compartment since this is a 2 cycle motor!), and that he couldnt get it to start so the carb needed to be rebuilt (the solution all inexperienced mechanics and techs use when an engine has trouble starting/running). The total he quoted me was $458. I said that was too much and the motor was not worth putting that much into it. He said I owed them $118 for the check out. $118 for something that took maybe 15 minutes to do? Then he said, if I didnt want to pay that, I could just give him the motor and he would fix it up and sell it next Spring. Now it all makes sense, these guys are in the business of preying on people that have no idea how engines work and then trying to steal from them. This guy, at best has a rudimentary understanding of 2 cycle motors and is clearly just a parts changer. When I went to pick up the motor I complained and they charged me for 45 minutes of labor instead of an hour. This was still at least 30 minutes too much. There are a lot of 5 star reviews for this place. Maybe they have some good mechanics in there that know what they are doing. This guy does not. Also, when I loaded the motor into my truck it leaked lower unit oil in the back of my truck because he didnt even tighten the plug. Thanks for that buddy. I should send them a bill for $118 to wipe it up.

I cant say enough nice things about this place. First I had to change my appointment three times because of work and the only response I got was thats just fine, whats a better time for you? Once I was there, the customer service was top-notch. They got my car in right on time and explained to me what they were doing every step of the way to make sure I was comfortable with the repairs. The repairs went quick, which was great, but they told me several times that if it was taking too long they would be happy to give me a ride to work. What a great family company! Im certainly happy I found them and will be coming back if I need future auto repairs.

The Volvo my son was driving died in Lino Lakes. Being from Duluth we relied on reviews like this to find a repair shop. The people at Roseville Auto & Marine were great to work with. They arranged a tow and then diagnosed (fuel pump) and repaired the vehicle in a timely fashion all the while keeping me informed of the progress. I would highly recommend them.

Called for service on boat trailer - everyone too busy - woman answering phone was not helpful at all - said someone would get back to me - no one did. Called a few days later - same woman answered - every body busy - did not know what kind of service offered or cost - maybe they should hire a service manager or someone that can at least answer questions. When the first impression is often a phone call, her attitude is a good way to not attract new customers.

I have had them work in my 4wheeler, trailer, maintained 2 different boats ( winterize/wrap, motor, seats, electrical, tune-ups etc) - they can fix anything; Very knowledgeable. I highly recommend them .

Insanely over-priced!!My Blazer broke down just miles from this shop so I had it towed there because it was close. The next day, they diagnosed and gave me an estimate of $970 for a fuel pump/module/filter. Everyone I talked to said that it was a ridiculous price so I got three other estimates. They ranged from $500-$800, and the guy I talked to here couldnt believe that people could do it for so cheap. The estimate here was even higher than a GM dealership!! Even after paying to have my car towed over 20 miles to another shop, I still got the repairs done for $250 less than the estimate here, and that is with using GM parts. Do your research before using this place.They also pad their website and only copy the positive reviews over. Hopefully people come across these reviews first. Ill be making sure to spread my review on as many sites as possible.

In all my years experience working with auto shops, Roseville Auto & Marine is THE BEST. They will only do what you ask them to do and if there is more than should be done, they will advise you of the real situation and work with you.I have 3 cars I take to them, on has 235k miles and they keep it running.They are not a big repair shop but they are good.

Roseville Auto and Marine, specifically John, did an amazing job with my 1969 Pontiac LeMans!After 4 years of sitting in my garage with carburetor issues and stale gas, John was able to bring it back to life and its now running better than ever before! He diagnosed the issues, gave me an estimate and kept me in the loop through the whole process. Once he really dug into the car, he realized it needed a few more items and made sure to call and ask if it was okay to proceed and adjusted the estimate for me as well. Again, great communication.John really knows what hes doing and seemed to treat my car as he would his own. Beyond the major issues the car was in for, he also took the time to make minor additions that really improve the quality and reliability of the vehicle. (replacing some sections of rubber fuel line with metal line, wiring, vacuum lines, etc) When my car was finished, it started and ran smoother than my modern daily driver, and its honestly in the best condition Ive ever seen it in.The Google reviews of this business are what brought me in so I wanted to share my own experience as well. On top of great service and what I found to be reasonable pricing for the work done, they also keep all the classic cars inside overnight, so you dont have to worry about weather.

The mechanics were helpful in explaining what was wrong with my car and they have free shuttle to wherever you need to go if you are dropping your vehicle off.

I am very particular, which is why I bring my boat to Roseville Auto and Marine. For the last 3 years Ive dropped my 20 Larson off and been satisfied each time w/ maintenance or repairs. This last time I had something come up, Jeremiah fixed the minor problem for free. Britt is also easy and pleasant to work w/ at the desk. One thing to remember, is that a boat should be dropped off w/ a fairly flexible timeline for repairs (in the spring especially). A+

If I could give zero stars I would. I brought my boat here and had an absolutely terrible experience.They are not a certified and must buy parts from authroized repair shops... Buyer beware.I also received my boat back with screwdriver chips all along the motor. They obviously had trouble getting the hood off. I had just done an oil change and spark plugs and it wasnt hard to take off.. Just Lazy!The gal answering the phone/at the front desk was always nice and tried to be helpful.Take your boats to a better shop like Valley View Motor in Eagan. They buy there parts there anyway.
