I love everything about this place especially the fact that they aren’t forcing mask wearing. Thank you for your common sense in giving people a choice. To the reviewers complaining about the fake mask laws, if you’re scared to go out in public, then DON’T!. Order from DoorDash or some other delivery service. Furthermore, don’t bash somebody’s business regarding criminal behavior the government is illegally forcing upon society. SMH, shame on you! Your mask wearing is clearly depriving oxygen from getting to your brain cells. Wake up for the love of god!

Order through a food delivery service. The breakfast burrito had no pesto in it, and was like 90% potatoes. It was like eating a bunch of potatoes lightly coated in egg with the occasional tiny piece of bacon, all wrapped in a tortilla. Very bland. 2 stars because the coffee was decent.

The place is good, it was not very crowded on a sunday evening. I liked that they asked us if we want disposable cups to go or we want to drink in regular cups there. A good step towards reducing waste. Coffee looked really good, nice latte art but it was cold. I mean a slightly warm than room temperature . That was totally diaappointing. If I ask for hot coffee I mean hot. Thats thw reason I am giving 3 stars because the sole purpose I went there for ia good coffee.Ordered a coffee cake scone and it was really good. I will no longer be supporting this business and I encourage others to do the same. They have a sign posted that reads employees that dont wear face masks have medical exemptions and are protected by state and federal law. This is absolutely false and is an incredibly dangerous thing to post at a place of business. In the rare case someone has a legitimate medical exemption, they usually require an external oxygen supply. Certainly not a person fit for work. Look it up for yourself at covid19.ca.gov

The coffee here is pretty amazing, but you do have to wait for it. If youre in a hurry this is not the place to go as it takes about 15 minutes to get a latte even if it doesnt seem like there is a line. They have a variety of delicious looking baked goods, but I havent found them to be all that amazing in taste aside from their cookies, which are yummy. There oatmeal is super tasty but a little pricey. They have some additional toast options. Ambiance is good.

If you choose to go here, just know that the staff and customers probably won’t be wearing masks or face shields. There is a sign on the glass stating the staff is medically exempt from wearing masks. I respect the two employees who were working with masks on, but there were 4 unmasked guys hanging around the bar in the 5 minutes I was there and 3 unmasked customers. The kitchen staff in the back were visible and unmasked. If you’re going to claim medical excuses for not following California laws, at least have some respect for your customers and masked employees and wear face shields.I used to love going here but will stay away for now. Everyone is entitled to their personal choices but customers have to right to know what is going on before stepping inside.

The staff are some of the friendliest people I have encountered. There is a great selection of drinks that help set this place apart from other local specialty coffee shops (I definitely recommend the shakerato!). The coffee (Verve) is good but not my favorite roaster. The seating can feel a bit uncomfortable in the busier hours as it is a bit cramped, but generally it is pleasant to sit for a while and take a breather and soak in the coffee. Overall, Bloom is a wonderful coffee shop that is worth the visit if you have never been and still worth the visit even if you already have.

Bloom Coffee & Tea is as minimalist as it sounds. The menu is simple and to the point which I found refreshing considering most coffee shops have drinks with names longer than most people. So, if you enjoy paying less than five dollars for that pick-me-up you so desperately need, Bloom may be the place for you.

The day I went, it was somewhat crowded, my drink took a bit long to make, and the people that were hanging out that day were not very friendly. The vibe was somewhat contrived and it was loud. Many people taking phone calls on speakers and the two sitting across from me on a bench table were rudely taking turns playing 20 second snippets of music out loud. It was a very poor experience. Those that were there seemed very comfortable, perhaps thats why their behavior was what it was. The drink was nothing to call home about. It was quite possibly the third worse mocha Ive had in a year.

I think I’m officially done with this place. I used to go once a week for a mocha and a scone but the staff is not friendly, the shots are not consistent and my drink has been made wrong twice with no offer to refund or remake. I’m allergic to milk. ALLERGIC as in I can’t breathe if I drink milk. twice the baristas have been too busy goofing around to pay attention. Today I watched the barista knock over a shot cup, spill about 2/3 of the espresso then grabbed another double they had waiting and kinda split the difference. The end result was me and another customer got a crappy unbalanced half shot. Just re pull the shot! It takes 27 secs to pull a good shot. I would’ve waited. But alas, another $6 mocha goes in the trash. Shady is WAY better. I’ll be going there from now on. 2 stars for the scones. Maple bacon is pretty good.

Waited in line for over 10 minutes. I was meeting someone and we had heard great things about the place,,, which was the only reason I didnt immediately just walk out. Each person in line took over 3 minutes to finish placing their order. The staff was either chatting with them on a personal level(with a huge line of customer waiting) or distracted talking to other people who walked over to the bar to say HI. This is the kinda nonsense I would have expected from a coffee shop next to a college but even dutch brothers highers younger people and their turn around is incredible! When I finally got to my turn in line I really didnt want to be there so I just ordered something super fast/simple such as the hot chocolate. They were all out of medium cups,,, it wasnt even 2pm. They had no marshmallows, no wiped cream,,, and I ended up waiting another 10 + minutes just to be served. They had 1 person taking the orders(and non-stop chatting, 1 person making all of the drinks(and believe it or not,, chatting more than the register person was),,, and for some strange reason they had 3 people in the back who didnt seem to do much to help address the growing customer wait time except include themselves in all of the wonder non-service related chatting occurring. The decor was plain and drab. The walls were painted eggshell white. You got the feeling you were in a hospital more so than a coffee establishment and considering the area they are located with all of the other surrounding businesses, you would have thought they could have at least tried to keep up with the image the rest of the establishments upheld. The hot chocolate wasnt even all that great. More people seemed interested in using their power/wifi than actually waiting another 20 minutes to get a 2nd drink.1/10, would not recommend. At least starbucks is organized and regulated.
