She was quick to respond and willing to do whatever it took to make their wedding cake perfect. I cannot say enough good things! Ordering was simple, I had a flavor profile in mind and Cakes By Darcy knew immediately the combination I had in mind. I sent them a simple example picture for a two tiered purple and white 30th birthday cake. I was blown away when I unboxed the cake at my event! It was even more beautiful than the picture I sent them! And the almond cake with raspberry filling and vanilla buttercream was a crowd hit! Even after keeping it for 24 hours in my fridge (I had to pick up on Saturday but the event was on a Sunday) the cake was so moist and had a perfect texture. It was sweet with bits of almond, a perfect ratio of raspberry jam that was tart enough to balance the sweetness, and the ratio of buttercream to cake was also spot on! Communication about my order was simple, pickup was contactless and the entire process itself was just effortless on my part. I will 100% recommend them for all of your hand crafted and special occasion cake needs!

She will tell you she is fully booked if you are not prompt in responding, or fast enough in paying your deposit, even over the weekend. That happened last year and this year. Won’t ever consider her business again.

I ordered a custom cake for a birthday in June 2021. The birthday boy got Covid the week of the party so I had to cancel the party and cake I ordered. They let me know that I could have a portion of the money I had paid to use towards another cake in the future. I let them know that I would be using that credit in a few weeks, in July for my daughters birthday. I called a few weeks later to order my daughters cake as I stated I would - and got a message that they had closed the bakery for a few weeks while they were moving. It would have been nice to have been told this when I mentioned ordering a cake in that timeframe on the phone. I let them know that I was disappointed that I couldn’t use my credit and no one had informed me they would be closed. So they extended my credit to end of year. In September, I emailed 19 days prior to my mother’s 60th birthday to order her cake and use my credit. They responded right back saying they were too busy to take my order. I let them know that I was disappointed and would need to write a review letting others know about my poor experience. They responded back telling me they would make a cake but only because ‘they were being bullied’. And the cake had to be a basic pink cake with no custom decorations or colors for $75. She told me they’re so busy and are working out of a cottage etc. It is NOT my fault that they are overwhelmed and too busy to take orders almost 3 weeks out. I did not appreciate how the owner played the victim and never once told me she was sorry for my disappointment and their lack of availability for me to finally use my credit. I did not ever get ugly or unprofessional, was just stating the facts of the matter. Will not be using this business again. Poorly run.

Darcy did an excellent job with our wedding cakes! We had a 3 tiered cake and a grooms cakes. Our larger cake had real flowers from our florist on it, but for the grooms cake, Darcy made a figurine of our puppy for it! It was so cute! She was very responsive and easy to work with. Have had the opportunity to order many cakes for different occasions from this bakery. After going through reviews, I felt the need to leave a 5 star one because I have never had any issue with my cakes. A few weeks ago had to order a very detailed cake and I was like if it even comes out 70% similar to the pic, my customer will be happy. Well, it came out even better as you can see the pic. Darcy did an amazing job on my wedding cake. So much, that we had no cake left at the end of the night. Darcy was lovely to meet with and was so patient while we tasted all the flavor combinations. She checked in with me a week before the wedding to make sure everything was still chosen as it was during the meeting. And the execution of the cake was perfect! The amaretto buttercream icing is the way to go! I highly recommend Cakes by Darcy!

Darcy saved the day for my friend’s wedding! My friend had ordered a cake with columns from a different bakery, but they didn’t supply the right plate and columns for the cake. I drove everywhere I could think of trying to track down these columns to make her day perfect, and couldn’t find them anywhere. I ended up at Cake’s by Darcy. Darcy doesn’t normally offer columns, but jumped right in to help save the day. She managed to find a set of columns in the back that fit the tray we did have to make the cake exactly what my friend envisioned! Not only was she willing to find a solution, but her sweet treats are one of a kind and delicious!! The customer service is unbeatable.

Im disappointed in the cake I received. I requested an Elmo cake for my daughters two year birthday. Firstly, I wanted Elmo and Cookie monster on the cake, but she said I could only choose one character. So, I picked Elmo and she added she could make the elmo figure bigger. To make a long story short when I received the cake the Elmo didnt look like the picture I provided, and I did ask her specifically from the beginning if she could make Elmo look like the picture and she said yes. Other than the Elmo figure, the rest of the cake look really nice so I just went with it. I wasnt told that Elmo wasnt secured to the cake,and as I was getting the cake out of my vehicle Elmo slipped right off and broke in 3 pieces. I ended up having to toss it after trying to fix it myself. I had to purchase a plastic Elmo cake topper and a cookie monster to fill a lot of the negative space on the top of the cake. I was hoping the taste of the cake would make up for the Elmo disaster but even that was a disappointment. It was bland. I went here because of the 5 star reviews and the work posted on the website but unfortunately I didnt have the same experience.

Wonderful experience! Quick response to my order online. Ordered a baby bum cake with baby name on the side and it was prepared perfectly. (Not getting an option to post pic) The cake looked and tasted amazing!! The staff was very attentive and friendly as well. Cakes By Darcy has horrible customer service and will no longer receive business from my family ever again!!!! My family had ordered a birthday cake 1-2 weeks in advance and requested a specific filling and cake flavor. On the day of the birthday, the birthday recipient tasted the cake and the cake flavor was incorrect. Also, the cake filling was incorrect. When an email was sent to the owner explaining the disappointment of the incorrect order, the owners response was shrewd, unprofessional, and unaccommodating. She did not offer any suggestions to correcting the issue, she insinuated the recipient was lying about the incorrect cake flavor and cake filling, and most importantly she NEVER APOLOGIZED. The owners response was extremely disheartening and disappointing, because my family had ordered numerous cakes from Cakes by Darcy for several years. She had become a staple for special occasions and holidays. However, this experience has permanently severed future orders from this establishment. Moreover, I will no longer refer individuals either.

Cakes by Darcy made my son the CUTEST birthday cake, the colors match our party decor perfectly and to top it off it was absolutely delicious! We cant stop eating it! {The icing is really really yummy} We will definitely be using them for all of our future cakes!

Great cake, we did a different flavor for each tier so there was a variety for guests, though all hidden under white buttercream. Darcy does cake tastings in house and a take-home version which we did. We did all the planning by phone and she really worked with us to get the amount of cake we needed for our budget. Delicious and beautiful. She also has connections at all local venues and they like using her because they know she is good and reliable. That helps in coordinating delivery, etc.

We special ordered our sons grooms cake from Darcys which was delicious and beautiful. Darcy made a shield shaped cake with our family crest. It was the talk of his wedding! We also ordered cookies in the shape of a plaque with their initials. These also turned out perfect and were so delicious! Now we are ordering our daughters wedding cake. We had our cake tasting yesterday. What a nice presiontation. So many flavors to choose from, all of her cakes are moist and delicious! She offers about ten different fillings with six different flavors of cake. We are so excited! Thank you Darcy for your help with making our wedding experiences so special!

The custom cakes are so well done and realistic that you will not believe it is actually a cake. The owner is also a great corporate citizen that gives back to our community. Ive only just recently discovered Cakes by Darcy and I must say I was pleasantly surprised and impressed with the product that makes its way out of this quaint Roswell gem of a bakery.The staff is experienced, knowledgeable, and pleasant to talk to. They often will go out of their way to make sure you get the perfect cake that is not only fitting for the occasion but personalized for the individual or event.These cakes are freshly baked, carefully set up, and beautifully decorated by Darcy herself. Ive seen the time and care that goes into these creations and it makes it worth every penny. Sure, youll spend a lot less money at your local grocery store, but that is to be expected when the cakes are made by machines, frozen and shipped in bulky boxes to later be prepared by an associate. Not the case at CBD. The quality, know-how, and talent that surrounds the product is no comparison.Lastly, the customer service is so outstanding that if you have any problems the help is there. Darcy and her staff are always more than willing to make sure you have the best experience. All it takes is bringing it to their attention :)

Darcy was so kind and is such a great artist. Im new to town and needed a cake for my stepson who was in state for his birthday. She took his Harry Potter cake to the next level. They have always made great recommendations for alternatives to stay in your budget.My recommendation: Notice how smooth the icing is on all of the cakes before you ask to have it covered in fondant. Not necessary!! Their cakes are so pretty and the outside is perfectly smooth every single time!Try the Strawberry cake with strawberry preserves, too!! Delicious :)

I had a phenomenal experience ordering a wedding cake from Cakes by Darcy. Unlike the many of other bakeries I visited, they did not try to push me into buying something that I didnt want. They helped me pick out the perfect cake design and were willing to work with my small budget. Their customer service and attention to detail were phenomenal. Im pretty picky about cake, but their cake tasted amazing and they had a wide variety of cake and filling options. Really great cakes and cupcakes. Ive used them several times for custom birthday cakes and they always come through with beautiful cakes that taste amazing. Way better than the cheaper grocery store-type cakes. Cakes by Darcy isnt inexpensive, but you definitely get the quality youre paying for.

I LOVE IT LIKE A FAT KID LOVE CAKES. DISCLAIMER: I AM A FAT KID; A FAT KID WITH GRAY HAIR. Most people have great food but their service is terrible. NOT SO WITH CAKES BY DARCY... At some of the worst times in my life... when life was being extremely bitter... if there is one thing that I could depend on it was the sweetness of Darcys cakes which somehow ALWAYS matches her disposition.

We were so happy with my son’s graduation cake! From the ordering process to pickup, the customer service was above and beyond. Our guests raved about the taste & appearance. Every last bite was enjoyed...even by me, and I’m not much of a cake fan.

First off I don’t understand why many people complain about there cakes. It was my girlfriends birthday and I wanted to get her a custom made cake so I googled this place and I’m in powder springs Georgia and I drove all the way here not knowing how it would be. I walked in and was immediately greeted by the staff, and she was beyond nice! I had no clue what I wanted on my cake and she got both iPads out and showed me all the designs they have done she even googled some for me to help me narrow my choice! And I picked one, she went to the back and told Darcy what she reccomends on how the cake design should be and I liked that because it made me feel comfortable that the owner cares about her customers and her cakes. It was very professional and they helped me out with everything I asked. I was scared the cake was going to be bad because it was my first time but it turned out AMAZING!! My girlfriend loved it!! Everyone did! So I want to say thank you Darcy and her staff who helped created this cake! I will definitely be coming Back! Tasty cakes beauty designs and amazing staff!

Im shocked to read some of the negative reviews. My husband proposed with a beautiful two tiered cake that tasted divine and looked it too! We had a wonderful cake tasting at Cakes by Darcy and they made our wedding cake and our grooms cake. The grooms cake was a 1970 Austin Mini that my husband owns. I also used them for my bridesmaid luncheon.Ive had nothing but wonderful service from everyone who works there, including Darcy. My husband and I just celebrated our one year anniversary and ate the top layer of our cake. It was still delicious!!! I highly recommend Cakes by Darcy and will be calling them in half an hour to put in an order for my housewarming party.

I ordered a cake for my daughters 7th birthday party and I was very pleased with my whole experience here! Customer service was beyond my expectations they listened to what I wanted and delivered in a very professional friendly manner! My daughters party guests were amazed at the outcome and overall look of her cake. The only downside in my PERSONAL opinion was the cake was a little dry.

I was traveling through the Roswell area, so I got some of the cupcakes to go. My friend said the chocolate cupcakes should be outlawed because they taste so good, the lemon ones are tangy and delicious, the vanilla is yummy and I even brought home a strawberry cupcake on the plane for my son. I highly recommend going there for a special cake, cupcake or treat. The owner and staff were very nice too!

If I had one word to describe my interaction with Cakes by Darcy, it would be uppity. I know their products taste good. My best friend has ordered from them a few times before for various events. After reading some of the other reviews, I must say I am pretty shocked at the attitude presented in their policies. Had I read that first I would not have been so surprised that they refused to do the border design on the cake I wanted for my daughters 1st birthday party. They didnt want to do it because there was too much going on and it looked like a grocery store cake. Okay...I just got the feeling that they would rather be exclusively upscale and stylish. So maybe custom cakes isnt the right word, since they will not customize entirely.

I have ordered a number of cakes from Darcys from a wedding cake to baby shower cakes to a moving away party cake. Oh, and petit fours as well. These orders have occurred over the period of about 4 years with the latest being a few weeks ago. Not one of these orders has been a disappointment. To the contrary, each cake has been a focal point of the party with rave reviews about the taste and appearance. Darcys cakes are wonderfully moist and the butter cream icing is the best in town. Creativity is a strong suit. I mentioned the moving away cake. This cake was shaped and looked just like a cardboard moving box complete with shiny tape seams that glistened like packing tape and the words goodbye in five languages. I am not an event planner. Just a woman that creates lasting memories for my friends through an occasional meaningful party and fabulous food. As such, I do not get preferential treatment or have any reason for my review to be biased. I demand perfection and do not accept excuses. Its too easy to take my business elsewhere. This little locally owned business has never given me a cause for complaint. Support this small business, enjoy fantastic cakes and dont worry about the price. Their prices are quite comparable. Further, you only need one homemade flop made by a well meaning friend to realize much is riding on food and dessert! I give Darcy two thumbs up and a five-star rating. You will, too.

We ordered our wedding cake & grooms cake from Cakes by Darcy, and it was fabulous! Everyone loved the choices between red velvet, chocolate, and almond buttercream. We would definitely use Cakes by Darcy again, the cakes were so delicious its impossible to turn them away!

TERRIBLE, I had ordered the cake for my son s graduation day party 5 days prior to the incident, PAID up FRONT, only to arrive the day of with NO CAKE MADE!! They lost my order and i had literally 20 people coming over for his graduation celebration in 2 hrs!! I was MORTIFIED at how the management of this establishment handled this situation!! They literally suggested for me to return in a few hrs and they would have a CAKE made!! R u kidding me?? I will NEVER return here, it s OVERPRICED and to loose a CAKE order after it has been paid for up front at a large sum of MONEY!! Forget it, I ll take my chances at WALMART!

Publix cake tastes much better. Our cake was a bit dry. And when I ordered a custom smash cake for my daughters first birthday, they did not make it the color I requested (I even took in a color sample to match). I also took in a picture of a design and they did not do that either. Wiill not use them again

Went there during the holidays - they were closed for 2 weeks for there own holiday vacation apparently. Went yesterday (monday) they are closed mondays (always!!!!) then went today (tuesday) walked up at 9:58..they open at 10...waited outside in the cold until 10:05 when i finally knocked on the door. An older women let me in. I asked for pictures and a price quote on a very specific design i had found on pinterest. The women literally had to go back in the back section to ask Darcy for answers to my simple questions SEVEN times! She couldnt find any pictures of the kind of cake i wanted to see - and finally brought Darcys cell phone out for me to look at. Um how about a portfolio of some kind ladies?I finally got the answers i needed (after some push back from me b/c they refused to do only green and blue sprinkles - said they couldnt - until I SUGGESTED they use fondant) and when i looked down to see what the price quote was for a 6inch round cake - the price started at $108.00! WHAT? for a 6inch round cake made to look like a stack of pancakes with sprinkles? What a joke!If Darcy wants to keep business in this area she needs to train her staff and not expect that people will pay that much for a tiny cake. Im not a cheap-o by any means - but i went to publix and ordered a 7 inch round AND a sheet cake that will be JUST as cute and JUST as yummy for a total of $40bucks!
