The facility is very clean and very well managed. In spite of some very challenging weather, our items were never damaged in any way. The on-site manager is terrific and extremely professional. The reason we pulled our items out was simply because the price was raised too much for it to continue to be affordable for us.

I rent my unit online and had a complete no contact rental and move in. My unit was ready and waiting for me when I arrived, the code provided worked at the gate and additional information was left in the unit to review. Went here to check the prices and the storages to see how clean they have it. And let me tell you this place is nice and the worker here is super nice. Mary was the one working at the time and she was a HUGE help VERY NICE!! Most places don’t really show you around and if they do they will be angry cause they had to walk or get up from what they were doing but without asking Mary offered to show me around right away. The lady at the front counter was great. She did everything to make my stay great. I wish corporate was as awesome as she was. I left because corporate almost doubled my rent after 5 months. Again the people were awesome, wish I could say the same about the money hungry corporate.

Mary, the property manager at the Grayslake location was extremely helpful. She was always easy to get in touch with and her follow up was quick and concise. I needed two 10x20 storage units and at the time there was only one available. As soon as another unit became available she contacted me and I rented both units. She is the reason I rented from Extra Space Storage!

Place is clean and well maintained. Customer service is friendly. One thing to be aware of is the month to month rentals. Switched units because the one we had been renting jumped over 50% in one month for rent. Was paying $75 then went up to $122.

This was an amazing experience. I went to three others and they were so rude and unsympathetic to our situation. My husband and I lost a mother and a father. The staff was very friendly. Everything was very clean.The only reason I took 1 star off was because of the rent increases I kept getting. When I opened my unit I was paying $84 per month. I had it for less than 2 years and by the end I was paying $112 per month.Overall, I would recommend this location for anybody looking for a little extra space to keep things.

The staff are friendly, helpful, observant, and straightforward. They contacted me quickly the one time I forgot to lock my unit. The management is helpful, and after hours service number staff are also helpful and understanding. The storage units themselves are solid, sturdy, secure, dry, and well kept. Driveways were re-paved during the year I used this facility. COVID-19 precautions are observed and staff always followed state health guidelines. Highly recommended!

I stopped in looking to store some stuff. The customer service was great. I was greeted by Justin as soon as I walked in. The place was exceptionally clean and smelled amazing. Justin was very helpful and gave me a tour of the facility explaining all the different storage sizes they have to help fit my needs. He was super knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend this place.

The facility is always more than clean and very well kept. It makes me happy knowing that my grandma chose extra space because of the excellent customer service and cleanliness.

I came in with my mom whose been needing to put stuff in storage for a while to downgrade to a smaller place but she was super nervous to put her stuff into storage, a lot of it was antiques passed down over my past generations. Once we got to the site & actually talked with someone we felt much more relieved. They walked us through all of the safety protocols & cleaning procedures washing away all of my mothers worries. The sweet lady Mary made us feel so comfortable, and didn’t rush either of us through anything, which made us know this was the best decision for my mom. I highly recommend this company to anyone, but if possible and you’re in the area, definitely go to the one off Route 83 and ask for Mary, you won’t be disappointed with her expectational service.
