Sooooo good! Well deserving of all 5 stars, from the amazing customer service to the delicious made before your eyes ice cream! The family and I always enjoy our visits to Creamistry Round Rock. Get you some creamy, mouth watery goodness! They even offer dairy-free options.
Better than I even thought! The workers are so kind and my kids enjoyed watching them make the ice cream. Tastes amazing and we’ll definitely be back!
I went to Creamistry because I was craving some ice cream, and wanted a quick fix. I was looking for dairy free options and Creamistry popped up. I decided to give it a try. I had been before (different location) a couple of years ago and remembered it was good. I will never go back to this location. 1st, it was hot as HELL inside. There was no way any AC was running. I would have been cooler stepping outside (77 degrees). 2nd, I waited 30 minutes for my $10 shake. I understand it’s Saturday night - and the workers were definitely moving quickly, but I didn’t realize I would have to wait that long to get some ice cream. Lastly, all of that would have been forgiven, but the shake itself was sooooo gross! I got the vanilla bean cashew based shake, and it tasted like a protein shake. I really tried to drink it, but I couldn’t do it. I should have just gone to H‑E‑B to get a pint of dairy free ice cream. Would have been quicker, cheaper, and tasted better. I will never go back.
A little pricey but the ice cream making process was pretty cool. Took longer than traditional ice cream shops but tasted better than the usual 👍🏾
Th ice-cream itself was homemade and one of a kind. It was a rather clean place with a good staff. Would come here for the flavour of the ice cream.
The atmosphere was really uneasy and it was very overpriced for what i got. It was not very good icecream or a shake. The nitrogen was cool but everything else wasnt good.
Great place with a fun atmosphere! Was especially exciting for my son to see science in action with the end result being a delectable dessert as he put it! Customer service was wonderful, smiling eyes from everyone behind the counter, and even with the bubbling clientele lining up, they were cordial and very patient with explaining how it all worked - especially to my curious son! Great place for a sweet treat! I recommend the Affogato Espresso concoction! Cant wait to come back for more!
My grandson and I went here this week and the ice cream was delicious and the service was very friendly. We highly recommend this place.
Awesome flavor! Very rich and creamy but…. The amount for the price never again! 9 dollars for 10 oz cup! Sorry but this place will never make it with those prices
Great flavors, SUPER creamy, and they have dairy free versions of most of their flavors and more sorbet! It was amazing and I want to tell everyone about it. It is really filling which is a perk! Only issue is they are slow for an ice cream shop but the process of hand making every bowl and quality that comes from it is so worth it!!!
Delicious ice cream made fresh and a great show to boot. Super friendly family runs the business and take pride in their desserts Well be back.
I ordered two Affogatos today and was totally disappointed. I’ve had it several times in past and today it was really disappointing. The icecream was nonexistent — almost like drinking hot coffee. I expected better!
I’m pretty sure this place is under new management. With that being said, I am also pretty sure a 12 year old boy is making my ice cream? With no idea of what he’s doing lol. Be cautious when trying. They handed my girlfriend a cup with no lid, over flowing drink. And the texture is not right. No napkins. Terrible experience. I’m almost scared to try mine (chocolate combustion). $20 dollars for terrible ice cream. Save your money.
Its a good ice cream shop, but very expensive. ($9 for the large) (psst its not that big). They do have good alternatives for allergies (almond and cashew milk). They also have a pretty good select on of toppings to choose from.It was moderately busy, but almost every table had ice cream leftovers on them. Dirty.Unfortunately, they removed cinnamon toast crunch from the toppings at this location, which really killed it for me.-1 star for price-1 star for no cinnamon toast crunch-1 star for cleanlinessHope they step it up soon.
Worst place EVERRRRR! Waited literally 20+minutes and every single person that came in after me for their ice cream, got theirs. Plus everything they had as extra they charged me for, but then didnt have in stock with no refund for the extra. Im a patient person but for $30 for 3 people the ice cream was sub par at best. I couldnt even eat it. Honestly, Dairy Queen has way better ice cream(no joke). When I finally asked for a refund, instead of the ice cream, after waiting so long, they told me no refund. They did finally get my ice cream and I was really disappointed with even mint chocolate chip (I thought that was a safe bet). Apparently not. Also very disorganized, children working, gloves were not always being worn when touching waffle cones etc. Save your money and time and go somewhere else.
This place is so cool! The options are amazing and I love that you can choose non-dairy options. The staff are friendly and helpful. The creations are delicious! You have to give it a try!
Absolutely unparalleled courtesy and a quality product. My first time... not usually much of a sweets person but I will definitely be coming back.
The best Ice cream in the area. They make from scratch and is interesting to see Nitrogen. I have never tried somethings like that, the consistency and flavor is exceptional, more than 10 flavors and combinations, also they have Began Ice cream and is delicious. The place is clean, a lot of tables and chairs. The staff is friendly and helpfull, is very good place to try a new Ice cream.
I love ice cream, but it has been bland and disappointing from this place every time I’ve gone. It was almost $20 for two, and the shake was half the size of a water bottle (like a kid’s size), while the “regular” size ice cream cup was probably smaller than a kid’s juice box...And I still didn’t finish it. Both the texture and flavor were so bland. It just wasn’t even worth the sugar consumption. I don’t mind being unhealthy, but it should at least be worth it.As for the service, there were no other customers and online ordering wasn’t possible for this location, but the lady still seemed super busy and ignored us at first. I tipped her beforehand to be nice, but she didn’t put any of the topping sauce I wanted on it. It honestly wouldn’t have made a difference for me anyway though. I really just don’t like this place. My boyfriend wanted to go.
The website states that the hours of operation for Saturday evenings are until 10:00pm. The sign on the door of the establishment says 10:30pm. But after driving 40 minutes to this location and arriving at 9:36pm, we were turned away because they close at 9:30pm. When I called to ask for clarification from the manager on why everything advertises differently than we were told, she provided nothing but excuses. We were told that they do not accept orders after 9:30pm, but as we were on the phone in the parking lot with the manager we were watching the employees completing orders. This location already had an average 2.9 star review, and now I understand why. We took our business elsewhere and will continue to do so.
I dont like giving bad reviews but I have concerns. The young lady at the register took my card with her right hand and processed my payment then proceeded to make ice creams without washing her hands and only put a glove on her left hand after touching a few items first and never put one on her right hand. Even though I dont think they touch the food products directly in front of us, she is touching every scoop, multiple bottles of milk, and handles of the ice cream machines and I couldnt help but think about how many other credit cards she touched without washing her hands before mine. I understand that a lot of pathogens couldnt survive the nitrogen, but its still just gross. WE ARE IN A PANDEMIC, and even if we werent, that level of cross-contamination without regard is cause for concern. Please make sure the employees wash their hands or at least put gloves on both hands; ideally both.I will say the manager was nice, I tried to quietly just ask him to have them stop my order but one of the employees interjected and unfortunately the other patrons heard of my concerns at that point. He was nice enough to say hell refund me, I just cant bring myself to eat the ice cream at that point.I have tried their Cookie Monster one yesterday and that employee was careful so maybe this was new employee. The ice cream is good, just keep an eye on the staff, and maybe think about having a touchless process for the employees? Just my suggestions. Sorry guys, I hope this helps.
Meh. We bought 4 small dishes. Spent $30. Mine was so bad I couldn’t even eat it. I’ve never not been able to eat ice cream before. The other three ate theirs only because they didn’t want to waste the money by throwing it away. Completely bland. No flavor. Nitro ice cream has always been smooth and creamy when I get it at other places. This was not - at all. So disappointed
The best ice cream I’ve ever had!
Friendly staff and yummy 😋 ice cream. Will be back.
Had the best experience ever... It was my first time there and there was this beautiful dark skinned short girl who explained me everything beautifully. A VERY clean and hygienic place. The staff keeps cleaning and very polite behaviour. I took 4 of my friends there and all of us loved the icecreams; they have vegan based icecreams too and MANY flavors.. They take their time and make the best... For icecream lovers this place is HEAVEN.. I will go there and recommend anyone to be there!!
I took my three children for ice cream. We each got a small size with no cones and no extra toppings and the total was $28. The ice cream was nothing to rave about. In fact, the creaminess was non existent just hard ice cream chunks. I do not plan on ever bringing them back here for ice cream. McDonald’s broken ice cream machine serves better quality ice cream.
Best ice cream I’ve tasted! Very creamy! Management was very nice and helpful. 10/10 recommended
I love coming here after a nice lunch. The dessert is great and so is the customer service.
A nice family owns this shop, super friendly, the fruity pebble ice cream I got was delicious!
Not the best ice cream. It was partially melted and powdery, but other than that is was okay.
A completely different take on fresh ice cream! If you havent had fresh ice cream made to order, youve gotta try Chemistry! Lots of wonderful flavor combos, and you have a choice of the base - either dairy or non-dairy (coconut or cashew milk) options. I went with coconut milk and my mom choice dairy, so we got to sample them both! A little on the pricey end, but nothing more than you would pay for a gourmet ice cream!
The place was small, kind of like a Baskin Robbins, but my first mental note was that I didn’t see any tubs of Ice Cream. It was that moment that I was greeted by a cloud as they poured liquid nitrogen into a mixer... oooh... that’s why! They have a lot of unique blends and choices. Even without the cool (ha ha) way of making it, they tasted really good. Very creamy and delish.Definitely a fun place to go. The only down side was that I thought the prices were a bit high.
Staff is generally friendly and pleasant. Ice cream is tasty, although you pay a premium. Worth a try.
Absolutely Amazing Icecream, Wonderful and Fun Atmosphere, and the service was Outstanding, and Very Accommodating....I Higjly Recommend Creamistry !!!
They have a sticker for an affagato, so we ordered one. We got it and the coffee was watered down and when asked it was because they used “kureig” not and espresso. Funny thing is I had asked for 2 shots..LOL! These people would not give me any money back due to their false advertising nor would they make any effort to make it better. They have you g children working there and they showed attitude. Never ordering affagato or ever going back!
Hands down the best icecream place!! The employees and management here have the best service!! Thank you for making my day today!
My son loves this place. His favorite ice cream combo is bananas, chocolate chips with nutella ice cream.
Quite a bit overpriced all things considered. I get the base prices, but toppings at $1 each is very high considering the choices are all relatively cheap when purchased at the store. It does take a while to get your order which makes sense when making from scratch, but would hate to come when it’s busy...there is no assembly line process to keep orders from backing up. Flavor is good and creamy, but I don’t recommend the Oreos, they don’t mix well and there are too many so it takes away from the creaminess.
The best ice cream I have eaten by far. There are various flavors to choose from and the atmosphere of the whole place is worth seeing. It does take a bit longer than your normal Ice cream shop, the best part is that the Ice cream is made fresh in front of you so you literally get exactly what you want. Definitely would recommend everyone to go and try this.
The girls working the closing shift were really nice and the ice cream was wonderful! I love how easy it is to make the ice cream vegan-friendly. Definitely will be back!
I am highly dissapointed in the service. We walked in two nights ago and ordered two shakes. The female employee did not even bother to greet us. She just stood there looking at the wall. She also removed her gloves before the shakes were done and put her bare finger on the whipped cream cansiter. The shakes were 10.00 each and were runny. Ive had thicker smoothies than the shake I purchased. Needless to say, we will not be patronizing this establishment nor recommending it. Awful service and product.
This place is all about science and chemistry, but Im going to have to add in magical to that mix. The lighting is soft and mystical and with the fog coming through from the Nitrogen, it was just absolutely mesmerizing. The ice cream is delicious with a texture that I found very pleasing. The only thing is I wish they had a smaller size, because that ice cream is SWEET! Neither my daughter, my boyfriend, or I could finish their smallest size. Otherwise, absolutely delightful!
Ice cream is good just takes a long time if there is any sort of line
Best ice cream in the area, especially if youre lactose intolerant. The reviews about the rude service are not inaccurate, as a few times Ive been there a couple girls have been very dismissive. Also, like others have said, it is definitely way overpriced.Criticisms aside, the ice cream is usually outstanding.Service is 2-3 stars, but the ice cream is 5.
Great ice cream love it
🍨The way that the make their ice cream is so cool! The is cream takes a while to make, so you have to wait a bit to get it.🍨
Creamistry is right! What they can concoct is pure pleasure. No issues with staff knowledgeable and friendly.
This is seriously the best ice cream Ive ever had. This stuff is heavy, smooth and super rich (but not terribly sweet). Yes, its gonna take a few minutes to get your order because they have to make the ice cream itself but thats part of the fun. I dont know what it would be like during a busy time, so maybe plan that into your schedule if youre in a rush, but I think its definitely worth it.In regards to the staff, they were polite and patient. I came with a small child and they were nice to him, humored his questions and were nice him while he squealed and went bonkers over all the smoke.
Ice cream is good, but the staff is not friendly and they kept obnoxiously slamming the mixing bowls on the counter. wish they were a bit friendlier to people.
This place used to be much better with portions. Portion size for small can almost fit in one spoon and doesn’t even fill up the cup. Hope they fix this soon
Found this place while traveling. Staff was very rude. Girl (long dark hair with glasses)became irritated because I asked her to change gloves after she touched her face. It is COVID19 season. This should have been common sense and easily understood. Then after I paid for extras... she pretty much refused to add them. I would not reccomend. The ice cream is good but the service sucks.
I had a very bad experience!!! I went to get some Ice cream for my daughters and I. I ordered the Captains breakfast and they put like three pieces of banana and the cut up strawberries were mushy. Its supposed to be a concoction of ingredients yet the cup was not decorated and the toppings were a little and right on top. My Daughter ordered the Smores and the same thing it was chocolate ice cream with a few pieces of graham cracker on top with Marshmallows nothing was mixed in. Honestly not worth the 8.95 a cup price. Thought it would be a nice experience but it wasn’t.
Ice cream made fresh in front of you! It takes a bit longer than your normal Ice cream shop, but you literally get exactly what you want. Its very rich, so sharing a regular or a size up might be worth it. The service was great and very kind considering it was our first time, and we were pretty slow. The spoons change color in the cold and theres a lot you could teach a small child about science. Its a bit pricey, but worth it as an occasional treat. You should check it out!
There Unicorn icecream pints are one of the best I had, even my nieces love their ice cream. Its really creamy with toppings and great taste.
Good Ice cream!
A half hour opening we show up completely ready to dig in. First time and the only people In The store a little help or direction would have been nice.. the menu is a little overwhelming for a first timer. The woman who should have been helping us had her back to us and was more concerned about cutting strawberries then helping four customers. So we walked out without purchasing anything. We were there on 2/9/20 around 12:30am and that will be the last time.
The person working tonight was friendly, and the ice cream tasted like it had high-quality ingredients. Unfortunately, it was not creamy like many of the other reviews on here say it should be. Mine was chunky and over frozen. I want to go back and try it again, but the prices are too high not to get it right the first time. I enjoyed the flavor, but the texture was almost like eating clay.
We have been here before and it was great. They had all machines running and just a cool experience to see the nitrogen make the ice cream. However, today being a hot day in January, they were not ready for people to get ice cream. They have hiring signs up front and only two people running counter on a Sunday. Ive been waiting 15 min for a simple scoop of coffee ice cream. Looks like the owner running the register and is doing nothing to get orders out. Just keeps taking them. There are over 15 people waiting on ice cream.. needs to be ran better, no wonder they have hiring signs up!
Real tasty!!! Our favorite place from now on!!!
One of the best ice creams you will ever eat. The place has nitrogen based instantly made ice cream, very creamy and yummy with fresh ingredients. The atmosphere is nice too, very white, it is a tad pricey but you are paying for extremely good quality. A fun place for kids to see ice cream being made with the exciting liquid nitrogen smoke. I love their taro flavor with their premium base.
I went to this location for the first time, and I was greeted by the most loverly people ever very kind, my ice cream is exquisite and I loved so much I got a second one to go. This ice cream is so delicious that I will never get any other place please go if you are in the round rock area.
I am disappointed with my visit to the Creamistry location in Round Rock,Texas, this past weekend. This was our family’s first visit to a Creamistry and we were excited to try the Ruby Cacao, a selection they were running a promo on ($2 off a Large), but were told it was sold out. The shop was just opened 30 mins earlier and we were the only customers there, and told it was already sold out?! Since the promotion was still running I asked if they would honor the promotion on a substitute ice cream flavor instead and was told they could not do that. In a way it felt like false advertising. If you have a product you are promoting to get customers to come in you should ensure that there is enough inventory of that product and if not, make it up to the customer with something, anything. Another thing to note is that the paper towel/napkin dispenser was empty, leaving only one that was available next to the register. The paper towel dispenser in the men’s restroom was also empty as well as the toilet paper containers. Since the doors just opened 30 mins before we came in and we were the only customers, that indicates that the paper towel dispensers have been empty since at least the day prior. Shouldn’t they be checked and filled the night before? This location needs better training in customer care.
We loved our visit! The ice cream, though a bit pricey, is well-worth the money. The staff is helpful and informative, and took the time to explain the process to our child. If youve never had frozen nitrogen ice cream before, its so thick and uniquely creamy, since the instant freezing results in the tiniest crystallization of the milk/cream. Slow-freezing causes larger crystals, hence less-creamy (crunchy) ice cream. The texture is wonderful, and theres a variety of bases available for many different lifestyles (vegan, low-fat, etc.). We will definitely be back!
I ordered the special which was supposed to be 75% off. They charged my card before it registered that they had charged me full price. Before I had signed it, I told them they had charged me the wrong amount. Someone else came over to see and she said they couldnt refund according to the sign that says No refunds after ice cream is made. The ice cream had not been started yet. She said she still couldnt do anything. I asked for a certificate for $5 next time and she said no. She said she might have something but has to have time to find it. By the time I got my sorbet, she gave me a 25% off coupon that would expire by the end of the month. And to top it all off, the sorbet had a bad aftertaste. I ended up giving my coupon to a family walking out since I will never be going back
Excellent. We were 5 of us and everyone loved it
Stopped by to get our little one an ice cream after dinner. It took some time for my husband to be served as all of the staff were in the back and did not notice him standing there. All in all, very clean, friendly and great variety of flavours. My husband chose the Nutella with banana and it was definitely a hit with both my two year old and her dad. Will be back when were in the area again.
I got cheesecake fruity pebbles. They have ton of topping options and even different dairy/non dairy. Definitely will be back
Just returned from my first experience, wow the place was packed a steady stream of customers just kept coming. The staff was really getting a workout fortunately, it appeared that the customers were patient. There is much involved in making these orders, they are all customized and yes, that takes time. Yes, this is on the pricey side however, customization does tend to run a bit higher. It is rare that I eat any sweets let alone ice cream, it was absolutely delicious and made my way....Well Done! I am sure all the staff will be sleeping heavily this evening, from what I saw they deserve a good nights rest.
I went there today and the service was great, it was clean and the two workers were friendly and nice. I got the Cookie Monster and I’m not disappointed. I’ll come again. 👍🏼
I was disappointed with my experience here. Like other people stated, the staff is not friendly. The man seemed annoyed that I didn’t know what I wanted right away. Also, the young lady who works here has long hair that was NOT pulled back. Her hair kept brushing the bowl she was working on. She had a scrunchy around her wrist so I’m not sure why her hair wasn’t pulled back. She also proceeded to wipe her nose with her gloved hands. I was grossed out.
High quality ice cream and great staff. Im sure I had the same people others are complaining about but Im not looking for some high school kid who doesnt care about the food they are serving. This place is extremely clean and when the staff was serving people at the counter they were busy cleaning. Great product and extremely clean environment.
Super yummy. The ice cream is thick and dense. Great texture. I had the blood orange sorbet and it was amazing. Great for date night, but way to expensive to take the kids to. Easily twice as much as other ice cream joints. Prices start around $5, all toppings and add on are $1+ extra each. Shakes and root beer floats are $9. Delicious, and we loved it, but too expensive for us to be regular customers.
This place is very cool. They make the ice cream on the spot and have a variety of flavors to choose from. Staff was great! Only downfall it was a little pricey.
They’ve obviously turned this place around. Very friendly staff- one staff member explained the entire menu to me with a smile on her face. You won’t find creamier ice cream anywhere. And it’s a great place for kids because they love the liquid nitrogen show. My only complaint is the high price, which will keep us from coming more often. But overall, a great place with great ice cream (large selection of dairy-free too)
I used to love this place, I dont know if they have new management or what...but I went there with my daughter yesterday and we stood at the register for 20 minutes without anyone saying a thing--bad customer service! 5 or 6 workers in the place, but no one can even say we will be right with you come on!!! Your whole staff needs customer service training! Wont be back. You lost a once loyal customer. What a shame!
I used to really like this place: the ice cream was good, the service was good and fast. The only problem was they didnt clean the tables enough. After not having come here for probably 8 months, we went today. Friday night, they were understaffed by at least two from what I remember. The service was very slow. The ice cream tasted OK but didnt look as nice in the bowl. The guy making it had a huge beard, hanging over the bowl in which the ice cream is mixed and then charged with nitrogen. In HEB, they make such employees handling food wear a net: who wants to contemplate hairs in their ice cream. New ownership? Cost cutting?
Usually there isnt much business but the place is understaffed and takes forever. The icecream is good but it took an hour
I went to Chemistry this evening of Dec 26th and I heard people giggling in the back. My fiance and I literally stood there for minutes waiting while two teenage girls were giggling in the back and finally we had to yell Hello for anyone to actually hear us and come out from the back. Two girls came outside and took our order. But I think one was new because the other girl was helping her. But the other one was on her phone the entire TIME. Then once they took our order they literally ran around throwing stuff at each other and laughing. It was so unprofessional. Then our order came and we only got one scoop in one order. This was our first time coming here since 1 year ago and this was a MAJOR DOWNGRADE in service.
So good. Its a bit pricey for ice cream, but the taste is fantastic. Be prepared to wait a while if theres several parties in line, as each order is prepared individually. Good selection of toppings too.
