No mandolins or violins? Really?Like being denied a real nice smile because of two missing front teeth.I get it, though. Its GUITAR CENTER, not GUITAR AND ALL THINGS STRINGED. If that was the case, youd have to sell yo-yos and dental floss too, am I right?Still. You werent shy about putting all those ukuleles out there.Ukuleles.Do you sell pineapples and leis, too?Just saying.Keyboards and drums dont have strings yet you had those all over the place.Other than that, what a very groovy place to throw down $300-$400 in less than an hour.Keep up the good work, guys!
I brought 2 guitars here for setup service. Got a standard setup on the newer guitar and a platinum setup on the older guitar. They did a great job on both. The guitars play great and they look amazing. Trust this guitar center with your guitars.Edit: recently brought a guitar here that was having electrical issues. Neck pickup was causing feedback. They diagnosed and fix the issue the same day and only charged $18. Pleased with them again.
I love GC. Its my Nirvana. Staff is a little pushy to help you. I dont need help. I usually know what I want when I go in. Still, cool place to hang if youve got time.
I never ever give a negative review because I know this hurts someone. However, I think it is a must mentioning it to others.I ordered a new digital piano (by Yamaha) from this store from houston. They packed a “used non functional” unit, without some of the accessories that comes standard with the purchase. Obviously, something is dishonest about this store. When I called they just asked me to return it. My question is- it is not a basic responsibility to maintain your own integrity before serving customers? Just check what you are doing before you do it. It is that basic.
I cant say enough about the service I received here. Ive been to other Guitar Centers and bought plenty of instruments, but never felt like they appreciated my business. Not only did I feel appreciated as a customer here, they actually seemed HAPPY to help.
I had great experience at this location. Jake is the representative who welcomed me and attended me. He was so professional, friendly, answered all my questions, helped me with my equipment and made the transaction effortlessly and smoothly. I really appreciate the wonderful customer service JAKE gave and helped me out.I will be returning to this branch soon for more purchases. Thanks JAKE.Thanks
I was shopping for a new guitar amp and the guy was really helpful letting me listen to a few amps and answering my questions.
The staff is so helpful and knowledgeable! Kelso is the king of picks. Thank you for your wisdom!
Theyre synth game is weak. I mean... I guess I understand. Its not called Synth Center.
Nice guys and very helpful. Store is clean and well setup. I called to make sure they had a part available and they were kind enough to put my name on it and set it aside to make sure it was there when I arrived.
They should really hire more knowledgable staff. I realize that Ive been into music for 28 years but at least hire people who are bit educated? Props to the guy in guitar parts! He should absolutely be promoted! Perfect fit from a pic, helpful and super nice.
Like a lot of guitar players the day of/after the passing of King Eddie we sought out gear of his to add to our collections. Ive got an EVH stealth head on back order but the 212 cab I purchased used came from this store. It arrived quick and in the original packaging. It works as it should and is in good shape. But what I didnt notice until after the cabinet was removed from its original box was the hand writing in red permanent marker R.I.P. TO THE KING. If it was someone from the store, you are my hero!! If it was someone from UPS, you are my hero!! Either way, I will be removing this side of the box and keeping it. To know that someone added this to the box just to let me know that they understood why I made this purchase is very memorable. Thank you to whoever you are.
Great service here. Even if you think your guitar/bass is in perfect condition, take it in and get the platinum setup, and see how much better it plays. I got my electronics repaired, strings changed, and a few frets leveled and rounded, and it came back spotless. All for $85. Such a great deal.
Great place to browse. They have everything.
People are nice and in-person browsing is great. But the selection is not near where it used to be in the past.
Went in just before noon on 3/5/21. Wanted to buy a beginner guitar and sign up for lessons. I was there 25 minutes and the employees were too busy chatting to see if I needed anything. I tried to catch the one employee in the back that seemed to be helping people but he was very busy. As I was leaving, I walked through the middle of 3 chatting employees at the front register, they got quiet as I approached, said nothing as I left. They went back to talking after I passed. Must have been a private conversation.Didnt someone else have a bad review a month ago, 2 months, and 4 months ago for the same thing? Good to see you guys are improving! They answer all negative reviews by asking you to email them, but why would I waste anymore time with a store that failed to speak with me?
The staff were extremely helpful. As someone who is just getting g into the guitar scene having someone who was there to help was very nice. They told me what certain things do and how certain things work and it was very helpful.
Came into this store today to buy a new guitar, and talk trade on my Gretch Goldust. In the 30 min I stood by the new guitars looking around for a salesman, I was not approached by one employee, not one. Had to go to Strait music to be taken care of. Will not go back to this location, which is sad because the Austin location blows these guys out of the water. By the way, spent 1245.00 at Strait, just saying!
Super Clean! This what a Guitar Centet should be!!
Witnessed an employee stop and turn away a customer that stated very nicely and discreetly that he was a disabled veteran and could not wear a mask for medical reasons. The employee said it didnt matter. Disgusting! You should be ashamed! I will never walk into another guitar center.
Taylor in the drum department is very helpful and has been for the last few years Ive been shopping there.
The parking lot looks abandon and rundown, but one you get inside the store is nice and most of the employees are very helpful.
Very helpful employees and a nice selection of both affordable and high-end guitars!
Poor customer service! Waited for them to open and there was me and another customer and they have 2 sales associates. They entertained the other customer and didn’t came and ask us if we needed assistance. I guess they even noticed that me and my family where there. Will never shop here again...
Plenty of good music supplies, acoustic selection is a bit lacking atm, but slowly increasing inventory. Good selection of stuff, classes and recording studio available
Helpful, friendly associates with a great selection and clean showroom.
This is a very good establishment. Great lessons, affordable and cost effective.
Didnt know about this location, Stock is better than killeen and waco but not by much. sales people let you look around in peace with no vulture culture(if you need any help, just let me know).
Its a Guitar Center. There really isnt much to review. The customer service isnt bad, it isnt great.I got my guitar and studio set up from this location.Elliott sold me my guitar and he was incredibly helpful. The experience was good. Id go back.
My kids bought a guitar here, the employees were great...
I needed to replace an old microphone, great selection of brands and prices. I found what I needed, will continue to support this location. Thanks.
They have all I need and more
Love to go in every now and then to try out the basses they have. Got 2 of my favorite instruments from there
Does anybody work here...
Agree was of great help. Definitely getting out bass here
I got wat I need, a micrófon cable
Good store. Always find what Im looking for. Friendly staff.
Great company. Must be, what happened to Mars.....
I called on the phone to inquire about specific guitar strings being in stock. Asked their closing time and about their location. I drove to Roundrock from New Braunfels and arrived 15 minutes before closing. The staff had pulled the strings and had them waiting at the counter. It wasnt a major thing it just showed a focused staff with attention to detail.
Love Guitar Center! Was able to find exactly what the hubs was looking for! Staff was friendly & helpful!
I will never purchase another guitar from the Guitar Center Round Rock, TX, or online again. After ordering a guitar with all the attachments online, to be picked up at the store it was a major failure. David (store rep) called to inform me that I couldn’t get the one I ordered online because that guitar was missing attachments (it was a return). The guitar (online) was valued at approximately $147.00, and the store purchase was $178.00. Unfortunately, David told me prior to arrival that there was approximately a $5.00 difference. Not. When I got there he tried to say he told me it was a $10.00 or more difference. Although I could tell he was being dishonest, I needed the guitar. It was a gift. He then said he canceled the order and I should receive a refund from the online order in 24 to 48 hours. It’s been 5 days and I have yet to receive my $147.00 refund. I feel like I’ve been lied to over and over again, and they do not care. So frustrating.
Decent sized store with decent amount of models. Just not entirely stocked.
G I had a very wonderful experience people were very respectful and very helpful
Great place to buy musical equipment new and used
Walked in with the intention of buying a Gibson Les Paul...... Basically rushed out of the store. My mask fell for one second while getting my debit card to buy a tuner and plectrums. I was reprimanded and ordered to fix it before I even had the chance. Well... This store lost about 3,000$ today.
Excellent and knowledgeable customer service!
Bought a keyboard bag here for our yamaha. The customer service was prompt and helpful.
I’m never greeted when I walk in. So many employees walking around doing nothing. Tried buying a used Numark mixer off the floor with no ac adapter and all they would offer was 10% off. Guitar center is the Walmart of the audio industry. Terrible customer service.
The gent who helped us was so nice 😊. We were in the acoustic guitar room and he very kindly checked on us. We did end up making a purchase, too.
Tons of inventory and their customer service is always awesome
Friendly service. Great selection
Our favorite place to shop for music gear.
We bought our daughters first Bass guitar for her birthday and Elliot helped us. He was so helpful. He offered great customer service. He truly loves his job. It was a great shopping experience at Guitar Center. Thank you Elliot. You Rock!!!
The folks who work here usually know their stuff really well and are very friendly. I have to tell myself NO when I pass by because its almost like Home Depot for musicians.
We always enjoy going
Staff is knowledgeable. They are competent musicians.. The Selection is good to great.. Guirars, Amps, pedals, accessories..Guitar Center is a great Mhsic Store...
Great service they went outa their way to answer questions I had and extra info to help make the sale
Thanks to Aaron at the Guitar Center in Round Rock for GREAT setup on my DCC-AURA 2005 Martin. Looks and sounds WONDERFUL!! Ronnie Caywood, Rockdale,Texas.
Always find something for my son and his musical art.
Very professional staff that will help you out with anything you need. One of the few places Ive seen that separates out the lefty (backwards) guitars for those players. Would be nice to see a dedicated amp demo room to test products out to their full potential, but all in all a great store that you can always rely on.
Guitar Center is a Love/Hate relationship. A necessary evil, as it were. The staff is friendly, and they have lots of stuff, but if youre selling used gear, and its not too heavy to ship, youre better off using Reverb to sell it.
Same wonderful place its been since...as long as I can remember, in Dallas, Albuquerque, now Austin. Great selection, great prices, great trade up policy as your skills progress. Lots of set ups for playing the instruments, especially guitars and drum sets. Great place. We can spends hours here!
LOVE this store!! The people are always helpful and polite. Chuck is our go to guy here! He helps our school find just what we need and makes awesome recommendations! Dont shop online...GO SEE THESE GUYS!!
First impression...wish i played an instrument! They let our 9 month old bang away at the keyboard and drum without any issues! The guitars are amazing....you can plug and play! They were not pushy!! Would recommend it!
Great, minus the dude with the Im in a band attitude, gimme a break. My hair is longer than yours. Lol. The lady with glasses at checkout was friendly and helpful.
I was greeted as I entered the store. They didnt seem to carry the items I was interested in so I browsed for a while looking for an impulse item to buy but left.
Stopped by here the other Day to get some drum sticks for my child, and aside from the mask 😷 requirement, they were really quick and helpful. I appreciated that!
They have the biggest selection of guitars Ive ever seen
Poorly trained staff.Poorly services IT equipment.Poorly stocked inventory.(RoundRock Location)#GuitarGutter
My kids are musicians, I am not. So, when I shop for them, I need a lot of help. Unlike every other music store Ive been to, the folks at Guitar Center are helpful without being condescending. Its always a pleasure to shop there.
The first guy that tried to help when we asked if they had any violins look over at them and said No. I told him that on line they showed to have 2 in stock the size i need 4/4 full size. Than he look on his computer and said i only have the 2 and went right over where he looked at when he said No and brought it to us . Luckily the customer service manager stepped in and was very helpful. I ask for a tape measure so I can measure my daughter make sure its the right one. Unfortunately the one they had we were having issues with he recommended we go to music and arts across the highway and we bought it from there. They were great very helpful and knowledgeable. Thanks guitar center will continue to be a customer
Two different gentlemen were very helpful to us while picking out a guitar for my 9 year old daughter. They were both knowledgeable and patient, despite being busy and near closing time. The store is well stocked and clean as well. Glad we were able to do business with them and they have earned our repeat business as well.
Elliott was super sweet and the most helpful employee I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. He was helping me as well as making sure that the customers standing in line were helped. He was the only one in the guitar section and had about 8 people asking questions and he got to every one of them in a very respectful and timely matter. Very impressed.
Everyone was very attentive and helpful. I love coming to this store.
Fast and knowledge. More than happy to answer any questions. Wont make you feel rushed playing any of the instruments, and happy to give you some tips. Been coming here for years for my instrumental needs. Always a great experience. Keep up with the promos to make it worth it.
Very helpful people. Knowledgeable in their field, and ready to help anyone from novice to expert. I went in there looking for a very specific wire and when they found they did not have it they called in to find it at the original company that makes the product. These guys rock. Metaphorically and literally.
The Guys at this store are truly Professional and incredibly helpful no matter at what level Musicianship You Are at. Their prices are great and They have anything You could want or need. Their Guitar Tech (Derek ) is by far one of the best in the business. Im a Professional Musician ( Guitarist ) and retired Studio/Session Musician and I havent found anyone in the state of Texas any better. Love My Guitar Center in Round Rock Texas. ~Pepper Roberts~ Studio/Session Musician ( retired)
Took in a hand harp I found in my house not even knowing what it was and Aaron helped out immensely. Restrung and tuned it up for me. Very chill atmosphere and helpful staff
Great place for those interested in music gear. Every time weve gone the staff have been friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. Their prices are reasonable and their return policy is generous. We come here often, and Im glad we have a resource like this in Round Rock.
This place has always taken great care of me. I do however spend way too much money in thereeach time I visit. 💰
The sales associate who helped me, was patient trying to understand my project. He gave me options that were easy for me to choose. Kudos for his great attitude and willingness to help.On my project everything worked out perfect.
Amazing store with great collection of musical instruments. Lucas is awesome and very helpful. He knows pretty much everything and will help you in any questions about guitar, amps and other things
Very friendly staff. Some knowledgeable, some not, but they always called somebody you who knows to help you. I have gone to the store many times to pick up various gifts and to shop for keyboards and they have always been very helpful. The last keyboard that I bought from there was very simple and Im looking forward to shopping from there again for a better keyboard to play with a band.
Was a wonderful experience, the Lady that helped us knew alot about Guitars and helped up pick out 2 very good ones. She gave us lots of advice and was very friendly. Also helped us pack the stuff out to the car. I will definitely be back in a few years to get 2 more Guitars, and then for my daughter when she gets older to play. Love love love the customer service.
Our band has always received great customer support from the staff in Round Rock Guitar Center Studios. We buy our gear there as well as practice in their studio. Awesome people - they try very hard to please and always get us the best deals. I appreciate them (shoot out to Chuck in Pro Audio and Erin in Studios) very much.
This is a one stop shop for all of your musical instrument needs. Ive been shopping here since they opened and this location has better selection than the ones in Austin.
Great place to get instrumental needs. If you cant find it in store look and online and you can have it sent to you. No complaints from me!
The location is a little weird, kind of hard to find the place if you dont already know its there. They also seem to have a staffing issue, since the register was manned by one poor soul with half a dozen customers. I saw several other workers in the back during the half hour we waited to sell a guitar, but there remained just the one man at the register. They did offer me a good price for my very well loved guitar though, so I really cant complain too much about the wait!
I cannot say enough good thing about Guitar center in general and the Hesters crossing location in specific. Their staff is incredibly knowledgable and helpful and their willingness to answer questions to help actually understand what they are selling is unprecedented. Taking advantage of their warranty/return policy is a breeze as well. Im very much a noob to the whole audio engineering thing but every time I come out of a conversation with one of their employees, I feel like Ive levelled up.
Love this place! Super helpful and knowledgeable staff and has everything under the sun about guitars (even other instruments than guitars!) Would definitely recommend if you need any kind of advice or if you want to talk music with some people who know what theyre talking about!
