My 81 year old mother has hearing aids (8 years) but she has been struggling to hear us and swears the hearing aids were not working anymore. So she saw an add for Livingston Hearing in Round Rock Tx and asked me to make an appt and take her. So we go in and the audiologist (Alyssa I think) asks what is wrong with current hearing aids and did Mom have them on her. Mom did bring them and we handed them off. Alyssa says give me a minute to check the hearing aids. She is gone a good 20 mins and comes back to inform us the hearing aids were fine just clogged up with ear wax. She had to use a microscope to clean out the aids etc. then Alyssa asks if she could look inside Moms ears. Sure🤔. Well evidently Moms had problems getting her ears properly cleaned. So Alyssa spent another 20 mins using some kind of water machine to rinse all the wax out of Moms ears!Alyssa said she put a filter thing on the aids that should block wax build up in the future. But we should come back on a regular basis to have the filters replaced and and check on Moms ears.I specifically asked if we owed anything and she insisted no just come back if you need anything else. My mom was thrilled silly that she could hear again and the audiologist was so great with her. We will definitely be back.
